Welcome to the squadron discussion board for the 46th Vast Imperial Squadron, otherwise know as Jexxel—or “awesome”. In lieu of Chlovi fading out, we wanted to keep a normal dogfighting squadron open. Plus we couldn’t let Strill have all the fun. That just ain’t fair.

Anyways, I am your SCO, Avalar. Chosen for the glorious position of SXO is my new right hand, Maroy. Behind her as FL is none other than Hades. Together I hope we make this squadron thrive.

Also as a present, we won’t just be flying TIE Interceptors. Trykon has given us Interceptor Mk II’s. The difference? Everything is pretty much the same save for a bit more speed and a limited hyperdrive (assuming I am reading the chart right and Tryk can hop on to tell me if I’m wrong).

Now to business. We have just finished Death and Chapter 9 is on the horizon. Since we don’t have an exact estimate as to how long we will have ‘til then, I will not be starting a squadron story. I don’t want to get caught in something fun that has to suddenly end because of Chapter 9. So, here are the best two options while we wait in anticipation.

First, Tryk has provided us with Heart of the Second. Here we can develop our characters as they are transferred into Jexxel. I know there will be some interesting interactions considering that IC Makenna hasn’t been a pilot for all that long. Not only that but Hades, who is an officer and should be running a squadron, is positioned as Flight Lead. I’m sure that will cause some confusion and maybe some distrust towards your SC? Who knows. Also don’t hesitate to write with people outside of Jexxel. We aren’t quarantined from each other. Jexxel members do see Strill members on the ship, and I’m sure, at some point, you might befriend them. Or you might have some rivalry with them. Point is, play it up.

Second, we do have naval certs and skills available. Since Chapter 9 is VE-wide, I do want us to have an excuse to fly awesomely. I know I’m talking more to myself at this point since you guys have fulfilled certs/skills in the past, but if there are any you haven’t done that may make sense for this, go for it.

And… well that’s it. I am honored to take this position, and I hope we give Strill a run for her money. Make me proud Jexxel!

I noticed nothing has happened while I was gone. Where did you guys head off to???? I want to see a post from everyone ASAP whether it's random banter between two characters or even a cert!

Ok y'all, I have posted. The emotional story arc for Jexxel right now is that the squadron is extremely broken. Markus Wolfrott had a huge reputation and his death has basically left the four remaining Jexxel veterans in shambles. Dante Vangelos is the most vocal of the group, speaking out against Makenna for taking Markus' place. Lindi is less vocal about what she thinks, preferring to hate from a distance and pull strings where she can't be caught. Drax is still in a bit of shock so he's just going with the flow. Kenth, being less of a veteran, does not see his fellow squadronmates actions as necessarily right so he's in a bit more of a neutral zone.

Keep in mind, this isn't an all out "let's only hate Makenna" scheme. Others will be affected by it as well. The one with the more personal grudge is Dante.

As far as the other NPC's, the newbs (Thorin and Crim) have absolutely no ties to anyone or any real idea what is going on so keep that in mind if you write them. They could pick either side depending on what they think happened. The rest of the members of Jexxel are either Chlovi vets or Strill vets so it's easy to assume they will form cliques based on old ties.

Let's at least develop this a little more before Chapter 9 yeah? Feel free to twist what just happened however you want. Just make sure it makes sense.
