In order to incite some story post I've set up a little competition. There will be prizes for those who win.
Dates of play:
Saturday, February 17th, 2007
-through-
Saturday, February 24th, 2007
How to play: Post as many posts on the story as possible with in the up coming week. Posts must fall with in the following scale and rules. Each post will be worth a number of points. At the end of the week all points will be tallied and prizes, which could be anything from cash to a promotion, will be awarded. For each post made the poster will be awarded 5,000 ICS, and that is even if the post does not count towards the competition.*
RULES
1. Posts must be at least 500 words long
2. Must move the story along in some way
POST SCALE
Level 3: This post is more than 800 words long. Has great detail and adds a new level into the poster's character. Thoughts and ideas are easily understood and add depth to the poster's character inner self. Syntax is used quite well. This post is worth 6 points.
Level 2: This post is more than 600 words long. Has descent detail. Poster gives some insight into their character. Few grammatical and spelling errors. This post is worth 3 points.
Level 1: This post is the basic post. It follows the requirements for a post. Syntax is pretty average. This post is worth 1 point.
Level 0: This post does not meet all requirements and will not be counted for the competition, but activity will be noted for it.
*Only posts on the Dark Dragoon Squad Story, Suicide Run, will be eligible for this competition. Specialty stories will not be counted. Any further questions, please feel free to ask Sam

Don't think that I'm doing this to bribe you to post or anything. I figured that we are having a low point in activity due to not really having much to do other than 'post on the story'. So, I figured adding flare to the DD aspect of the VE. It is possible that there may be more events like this to come.
Oh, and if I didn't state this earlier, I will post periodic score updates through out this competition.

Urakai, yes.
Ok Dragoons, I would like to open up new options for activity other than just posting stories.
The first option is graphics for, well anything really. You can make some for the DD site, which is linked in my sig (and needs to be updated really badly). You could make graphics for the wiki. The reasons for graphics are endless.
The next is gaming. I don't really know what VE games everyone has and what not, but Kairo has posted some stuff on the Competition net that you guys should check out.
On the DD website, if you have any ideas for it, they are welcome and kinda needed. My brilliant mind can only sustain a certain level of creativeness.
And there is a whole bunch more of ways to be active. Honestly, being confined to posting sucks for activity and I don't think that anyone should be confined to it. Just know that you should still post on the stories even though there are other options for activity.

For those Dragoons that are unaware, I'm leaving the squad and ASL position to focus on my Academy and PA duties. It's been a blast hanging with my old crew, although I have no doubt that I'll have the chance to write with you all again in the very near future.
