Welcome to the Vast Empire Naval Academy, Crewman Hansan.

My name is Lieutenant Wyl Trykon, and I'll be serving as your Training Officer (TO) while you go through the Naval Academy's orientation program.  I'll be around to help you learn how to role-play as an Imperial crewmember in an ongoing, collaboratively-written story (a set of skills which is taught in something we call, "Fleet School").

With your first post here on the Naval Academy board, you've completed Imperial Initiation (well done) and are hereby clear to begin Fleet School, which will prepare you for daily life as a bridge crewmember on a star destroyer.  Please note: the wiki makes mention of Starfighter School as well, but the training program you want is Fleet School.

Your next step should be to visit the VE Wiki page for Fleet School, found here, and begin working on Chapter 1: Character Development by clicking the appropriate link.  When you finish the assignment, post your work here in this thread (bio and ID line), so I can review it, and we'll proceed from there.  Please note: here in the VEN, we write stories in the third person, past tense; you should too.

Great start, Crewman, but we need a little more detail.  Remember, the character bio is to help you organize your thoughts and to help your fellow members write about your PC convincingly.  Specifically, I'd like to see more about what motivated your character to join the Vast Empire.  I see that he has cause to hate the rebels, but that's not quite the same thing as loving the Empire, let alone a splinter faction that's slightly different than Palpatine's regime.  Give us a little more motivation, and then we'll move on. 

Honestly, it looks nearly unchanged from the last time I looked at it.  Take a look at the other bios recruits have posted here in the Naval Academy Comnet, and you'll get a good idea of what we typically look for, in terms of length/detail.  There should be several sentences in each of the sections of the bio (physical description, personality, and personal history), as a general rule of thumb.  More specifically, WHY does your character think the VE has the best chance of restoring order?  Why is restoring order important to the character, personally?  Just a few more details, especially about motivation but also about the look and attitude of the characters, and we'll move on.
