/me is very excited.

Because I was asked earlier - everyone can start posting anytime. If there are no current orders then just take the opportunity to introduce your character, his past and present exploits, his plans for the future, his relationship with other NPCs or even other PCs, his personality traits based on various occasions and so on and so forth. The possibilities truly are nigh endless at this point. Just one thing to keep in mind - this being a blown surprise attack the squadrons will be kept handy. Not necessarily fully informed - in case there are moles monitoring such things - but handy nonetheless. Thus a couple of restrictions: don't post just arriving on Abrae from wherever you may have been and don't post being in some remote location doing whatever else.

For simplicity and realism's sakes all SFC members will be stationed aboard their respective ships. As the only PC squadron at the moment is Tuk'ata that means the big badass "Atrus" for them. I will try to introduce the NPC SCO tomorrow when I make my first post, but I think you should know that he/she would not keep you all together and on standby. That's so as not to cramp your individual styles. Thus if you want to start the story alone you're free to do so. If you coordinate OOC and want to start it as a group, by all means do that too. If you want to start it in your own bunks go for it, if you want to start it in the mess hall that's an option as well, the simulators are another, training halls yet one more, rest room also a valid one...

It's a big ship so there are a whole bunch of places you can begin. One note though - try not to use an infirmary or a brig or some other location that you wouldn't realistically have an easy time getting out of, even in a crisis situation. This is the military after all...

Hmm, what else? Oh right, the Tuk'ata current story shall remain active for a bit longer as well so feel free to continue posting there as well. Note however that the fleet story should be given priority. Tryk already mentioned the leadership positions being up for grabs - personally I will nominate members based on 4 criteria: IC activity (as in not just lurking around the IRC for instance), IC quality (because posting a lot doesn't necessarily mean anything), OOC attitude (basically whether or not the member would be liked, respected or dreaded by his/hers colleagues) and OOC innovation (this one's a tad vague, but I mostly refer to ideas, plans and coordination efforts).

All that being said and done, go out there and make this story as epic as it was thought out. Good luck!

Also what are the chances I could have an NPC to kill when the proverbial excrement makes contact with the oscillating air circulation device?

Was planning on vaporizing a friendly NPC for the "Holy crap" factor it would give my character. You know, putting into perspective just how quickly people die, for motivation and whatnot. And I probably would RP the death from said NPC's point of view, yes. Always more fun that way.

I assumed they were on the Atrus, too.

One teaser I'll give you...Belgaroth was one of the biggest battles we've ever had with 4 ImpStar Deuces and other capital ships involved. This one will be at least three times but up to an order of magnitude bigger. Enjoy!

To the people of Tuk'ata: I recommend finishing up your encounter in the barracks (in the beginning of your post) before skipping several hours ahead - probably around 18 - and try to post something about the enemy forces in-system.. of course, you're welcome to discount the barracks encounter entirely and skip to the action... but it would take a toll on your word-count. Or you could ignore me completely, since I can't really order anyone around.

Now let's get out there and kill something!

Hate to contradict you, Hades, but I established that argument as happening directly before heading to the hangar (cutting down on the repercussions, and streamlining the in-story timeline a bit). Other than that, the post looks good. I don't think removing the 18 hours line should make too much of a difference.

@Hades: I wanted to note that the Warrior and her fleet aren't in the system yet. We'll be arriving shortly, but for now your character is more likely to be wondering where the hell the CNW's ship is. Otherwise, excellent work.
