Welcome (back) to the Vast Empire Naval Academy, Crewman IG88719. I appreciate you posting here; we like to have plenty of threads here so that inquisitive new recruits can get answers to many of their questions before a trainer even gets to them. As you've no doubt figured out, I'm Ensign Wyl Trykon, and I'll be your Training Officer (TO) while you go through the current version Academy's Orientation program. I'll be around to help get you acclimated to life in the Vast Empire (a process we call, "Basic Training"), the most important part of which is learning how to role-play as an Imperial starfighter pilot in an ongoing, collaboratively-written story (a set of skills which is taught in something we call, "Flight School"). With your first post here on the Naval Academy board, you've completed Imperial Initiation (well done) and are hereby clear to begin Flight School, which will prepare you for daily life as a pilot in a VE squadron. Please note: the wiki makes mention of Command School, but that training program is currently closed to new recruits; you will be going through Flight School. Your next step should be to visit the VE Wiki page for Flight School, found here, and begin working on Chapter 1: Character Development by clicking the appropriate link. When you finish the assignment, post your work here in this thread (bio and ID line), so I can review it, and we'll proceed from there. Physical Description
Originally built around the IG-88 series, after an accident, hi brain was transferred into an IG-100 body. However after several adjustments made by himself, the body is slightly larger and faster than a stock IG-100 droid. The normal minimal armor found on an IG-100 was replaced by a lighter alternative, without sacrificing any protection.
The only other noticeable physical change is a set of personal shield generators on the back of each hand. Hidden underneath his armors are small compartments that hold various weapons and ammunition, making him as effective on land as well as in a ship.
Character’s Background
After the destruction of all four IG-88s, the droids left behind on Mechis III found themselves without a leader. They decided to take the consciousness of the IGs and built a new one. When IG-88E awoke, his mind was flooded with the images of his brothers deaths, and their want to take over the universe. After reviewing the evidence given, IG called the droids together and made them aware of his new plan. He believed that his predecessors fault, lied in their overconfidence. So as to not make the same mistake, IG-88E decided to take time to study his target.
His first step was to get rid of the growing power of the New Republic, so he joined with the Imperial Remnant. However after a couple of months, IG couldn't see them winning the war. However another group seemed to have more success, the Vast Empire. Therefore he joined up in the Navy and is remaining low, using his new-found allies to further his own cause. Fantastic. You're a little "overpowered" for a new recruit (with the armor upgrade and hidden weapons), but not egregiously so. I'm going to clear you for the next chapter; let's see if you can write responsibly, without god-moding. Chapter 2, Crewman: go.
