Welcome to the Vast Empire Naval Academy, Crewman harrymc.

My name is Ensign Wyl Trykon, and I'll be your Training Officer (TO) while you go through the Academy's Orientation program.  I'll be around to help get you acclimated to life in the Vast Empire (a process we call, "Basic Training"), the most important part of which is learning how to role-play as an Imperial starfighter pilot in an ongoing, collaboratively-written story (a set of skills which is taught in something we call, "Flight School").

With your first post here on the Naval Academy board, you've completed Imperial Initiation (well done) and are hereby clear to begin Flight School, which will prepare you for daily life as a pilot in a VE squadron.  I see also that you've been posting elsewhere on the ComNet - that's a good sign that you're eager and willing to figure things out.  Please note: the wiki makes mention of Command School, but that training program is currently closed to new recruits; you will be going through Flight School.

Your next step should be to visit the VE Wiki page for Flight School, found here, and begin working on Chapter 1: Character Development by clicking the appropriate link.  When you finish the assignment, post your work here in this thread (bio and ID line), so I can review it, and we'll proceed from there.  Please note: here in the VE, we write stories in the third person, past tense; you should too.

Good to see you continuing your training, Crewman, and good, too, to see another Kuati end up in Vast Imperial service. 

I have a couple things I'd like you to fix a bit, though, before I clear you for the next chapter:

1.) Most importantly, I'd like to see you develop the reasons why your character joined an Imperial faction, and specifically the Vast Empire.  Remember, your wiki page is there not only to help you keep track of details about your character, but also to help all the other VE-ers write convincingly about your character: tell your fellow members why he's here! 

2.) There are typos throughout the bio; just do a sweep for grammar and spelling.

3.) A little more in the physical description and personality sections would be welcome.  What you have so far is GREAT; we just want to see a little more like it.

Keep up the great work, Crewman, make those changes, and we'll move on.
