This may be the fever talking, but right now I find this random video someone posted on facebook to be illustrative of good pacing and an emotionally-rich narrative arc for a fight scene. Yes, it's not a traditional source of inspiration, but I don't think the story potential of even the seemingly inane should be ignored merely on principle. Tell me about it. My game design teacher actually made all of us (the students) do an activity that dealt with inspiration. He had us assemble in groups and gave each group an image. He then told us to create a game from that image. Essentially we had to draw inspiration from the image. And I tell you, some of them were really abstract.
