In the run up to October 31st, the teachers at my school have been instructed to don costumes. This is to introduce the Western concept of Halloween to our Japanese students (who are still a little mystified by the whole idea). Finally, I can teach dressed appropriately! .jpg) I do so love Halloween! Anyone else got any cool costumes they'd like to share (Star Wars or otherwise)? We don't do very much for Halloween, usually we hand out candy but we're kinda too old now to dress up and go trick or treating or anything in the family...So I generally sit quietly with my bedroom window open and laugh at the reactions the kids get from the houses on my street. |

My wife has insane stories about trying to explain Halloween in Japan. Some odd and uncomfortable costuming choices by her fellow staff and students ensued.
