Broaden it.. VEA and VEN, perhaps? With these specialisations coming in to the Army (slowly), it could work there.. but unless something like that happens in the Navy, its doubtful it could work there.. -----------------------

 I think that we should go with bear's idea with the navy. Also, I think that it might be a good idea to have like a seperate optional division to be in. Like you can be in the HC, DJO, or EC, while you are in the Army or Navy. So, why don't we try to make the Medical Corps a new division that people can opt to be in. They would serve as medics in the storyline as well as be able to fight. It's just an idea.  -----------------------

Sooo.. instead of making a seperate Corps (theres no way the HC would go for that one) just for Medics.. how about some sort of roleplaying division? Not as in d6 and character sheets and all that baloney.. Just something which lets people.. erm.. pretend to be Medics? 
Ok, pretty weak. Heres one thing which got thrown up a long time ago, and nobody really thought about it: simming.
Simming is easy, takes about 5 minutes to learn, and can be as simple or as advanced as you want it to be.
If you didn't know, simming is when you sit in an IRC channel with a group of people, and you all pretend to be in some scenario (sounds like a swingers club, but its not  ). For example..
"The scenario is this: A troop ship has landed to evacuate two Scientists from Planet Sheep. There is heavy artillery fire, and the enemy are moving forward quickly.
These are on the troop ship: Bear, a medic; Argon Viper, a rambo-like soldier; MegaDeath, the senior medic.
These are on the planet: Fury, the expedition leader; Ramon Stonefish, a scientist."
Then you just start off (you usually have a narrator or something - some sort of simming leader), and do your own thing - its just like story writing, but in real time.
So, thats what I say. A Specialist Simming Corps would be a better idea than a Medical Corps - it would include a Medical Corps, an Armour Corps, etc, but its main duty would be simming.
Simming (as in "simple roleplaying") would be the only thing a Medical Corps could really do.. along with an Infantry Corps, etc.
Like I said, a "Specialist Simming Corps". Ideas? -----------------------

I'll leave all of this talk up to you all. I'm still shocked the Navy doesn't have a Maritime Recon and Rescue Ranger (MRRR!).  -----------------------

Hey, the VEA needs it more than the VEN, we're the guys who are actually putting our soft, pink, bods on the line. Besides, if a fighter blows up, there's usually not enough left of the pilot to treat -----------------------

When someone first came up with the Medical Corps idea.. and I don't like to boast, but it was *muffled by various peoples socks*.. anyway, Fury had the speciality idea, and he said it could work as "A guild".
So, really the only way a medical corps will work is as a sort of Officers Club, but for medics.
Actually.. why not have an officers club? -----------------------
