Well, we're collectively sitting on our butts.
Not all of us, I know some people are playing games, working on stories, recovering from a thumb twiddling accidents, etc.
The point is: people are lax, bored, irritable.
Let's see what we can do about that.
First, I am asking everyone to send their SL a list of games they have that are within the VE accepted list and are Army related (Rebellion, FC, GB, JK, JKII, SC, whatever).
Second, I want to see what everyone's preference is: gaming or story writing (doing nothing and wanting promotions does not count). You can also prefer a focus on web site development, graphics, banners, whatnot; but the most recognizable activity comes from writing and playing.
Third, hopefully you've had a chance to look at the
specialties. Send in your top two specialty requests to your SL. Keep in mind your squad's mission type when you do this, and consider whether or not you might want a transfer in the relatively near future.
Fourth, post some ideas here of what you'd like to see. Personally, I have this idea of giving a special set of armor to the person who can out-write, out-shoot all comers - a SuperTrooper of sorts. But in order to even consider a King of the Hill type of comp, I need to know what resources are out there - or if anyone even cares to compete in such a thing.
I have heard noise about an Elite Squad Competition. I am receptive to that, but I tell you what. I need to see some good squad activity before I can bribe Talon to let it happen.
We need to get moving. I realize that finals are coming and real life can be a pain, but let's at least plan this out and be ready to go when the timing is better.
