All other commands are independent; however the CNW will maintain overall command over ALL ships of the fleet (The NHC and ImpIntel excluded)

All NHC Members will be free to write their particular ship solo. They will/can co-ordinate w/the other fleets to ‘guest’ in stories, or write their own individual stories. The CNW may write solo, or as part of the TF. The CNW WILL write/approve/start any and all major 2nd Fleet stories.

A Star Destroyer will consist of a CO, an XO, one Bridge Officer (to be specifically designated by the CO) and a SC
A Frigate will consist of a CO, an XO, and one Bridge Officer (to be specifically designated by the CO)
A Corvette will consist of a CO and an XO
A Light Cruiser will consist of a CO.

ALL NPC ships must be approved by the CNO or the NCC IN WRITING before use.

You MUST attain the rank of Warrant Officer, 2nd Class BEFORE you are given your own command.

Promotions of ships crew are wholly at the discretion of the ship’s captain and the NCC or CNO
Promotions to larger ships are wholly at the discretion of the NCC or CNO

Naval Career Path

A new recruit into the Vast Empire Navy will embark on a trying and rewarding path to glory and accomplishment.

Phase I:
Upon joining they will report to the Naval Academy and be placed in Raptor Squadron.  They will demonstrate the ability to write at MINIMUM a 500 word post, develop characters and move plot along.  Upon their certification by the CNT, they will be placed in one of the four active squadrons.

Phase II:
Upon their placement in a squadron they will be active in all stories generated by the SC/WC/CNW and any Character Development and personal stories they may wish to create.  They will be recognized for their activity and accomplishments in a timely manner by award and promotion. Once they reach the rank of Chief Petty Officer they are eligible to either become a Squadron Commander, or move on to a Bridge position on a Capital ship.
Squadron Commander:
They can choose to stay in this position up to the rank of Ensign, at which point they will be eligible for either CapShip Bridge Position or Independent Command.
Note: the member may choose to stay in the role of SC once attaining the rank of Ensign, but no further rank may be gained.  To be promoted, you must be mobile.

Phase III:
Upon their placement in a Bridge Officer position they will execute the commands of their CO and develop any/all stories related to the ship either in campaign or individual ship story.  They may also develop personal and CD stories independent of the main ship story or campaign. They will be recognized for their activity and accomplishments in a timely manner by award and promotion.  Once they reach the rank of Warrant Officer, 2nd Class they are eligible for independent command, or may stay in position up to the rank of Ensign, at which point they will be placed in Independent Command or be transferred to a larger ship and more challenging role as a Major Ship Bridge Officer.

Phase IV:
Upon their placement in an Independent Command they will execute the commands of the NCC/CNO/CNW and develop any/all stories related to the ship either in campaign or individual ship story.  They may also develop personal and CD stories independent of the main ship story or campaign. They will be recognized for their activity and accomplishments in a timely manner by award and promotion.  As they progress up the career ladder they may be transferred to larger, more powerful ships, and more important positions.  Upon reaching the rank of 1st Lieutenant they may be eligible to become a Task Force Commander.  The officer will continue up the ladder reaching whichever ultimate rank and position they earn through their hard work and dedication.
Task Force Commander:
Task Force Commanders are in charge of a sub-fleet of starships. They handle all coordination between the ships and regularly report to the Naval High Command about the ships under their command.

Phase V:
As the officers continue on in their careers they may be asked to serve on the Naval High Council in various capacities.  Attaining the NHC is a noble calling that comes with many perks and responsibilities, and should not be taken lightly or with the attitude of wielding power for power’s sake.  It is to be understood that the very fate of our Navy is in your hands.

Just wanted to note - I would appreciate it if we kept the Task Force codenamed as Resh instead of Sarlaac. It's a dedication to a great friend of mine who was unfortunately taken from this world much too early by the hands of a crazed Axe Murderer and his loathsome lackeys.

also, ISD, VSD, and mSSD are used to distinguish which form of Star Destoyer is being used.  we are only using one type of Lt. Cruiser, one Frigate, and one Corvette...so, no, you do not have to delineate them. use LCR

You have to take that up with Fury.  I don't think we're there *yet* but will be when Chapter 9 deploys.

And don't worry- take your time. There are few if any fictional universes as complicated as the Star Wars universe has become. It takes a heck of a lot of time, dedication, and skill to set anything major up without breaching canon. Thanks for all the effort you have and will put into it. Personally, I can't wait to see what you're coming up with for Chapter 9. It's going to be epic.
