Cipher you should report to Drac and Myself, that way if Drac is unable to send in the report one week, I as Executive Officer can report for the Squadron.

Yeah, that's why I put the note in about Hunter, Slasher, and Drac. They're definitely going to be the toughest simulations to beat.

That' depends. In most militaries, the bulk of Officers started as such, and therefore may not have as much fighting experiance as a front line troop.

For example, a Cheif Warrant Officer (highest enlisted/ Non-com rank)  will probably have more experiance then a 2nd Leutenent (Lowest officer rank... in Canada, we don't have Ensign). Unless it was a field promotion, unlikely. It's similar in Star Wars (basically 1970's American military-ish)...

well... LT isn't really a high rank among officers, more like what i meant by recruits; and Warrant Officers aren't really recruits :P And if i'm not mistaken... in RL military, enlisted and officer are two completely different career paths, so enlisted remains enlisted for the rest of their career/life, and officers start as lieutenants. With that line of logic, it goes to explain why in most cases, addressing someone as "Sargent" is actually respectful, since Sargents are the highest ranks achievable in enlisted; and addressing someone as "Lieutenant" can often be taken as meaning "junior" or "kid", since they are literally just beginners. I don't remember ever hearing about a field promotion from enlisted to officer, unless it's under very special circumstances such as during a battle... or if Lord Vader was present... XD

Officers actually go through more physical training than enlisted lol. They have to be literally more capable in all forms of combat than enlisted.

Anxious to see what you folks come up with in the next week or so; we're talking over on the commander's ComNet about story direction, so- let's see what you folks can do

byorninn: We're running some melee combat training at the moment. My first post in the mission topic has all the details you'll need to get going, so feel free to jump right in. Also, to minimize any confusion: Send your weekly reports to Slasher and to me. They're due on Thursdays. If you get lost or have a question, Slasher, Stewart, and I are always happy to help.
