Story 1: Basic Electronics/Wiring

Jenerin was sitting in class, going over some schematics while the teacher rambled on. The door opened and he looked up to see an officer walk in and whisper something into the teacher’s ear before leaving. A look of concern spread across the teachers face.
"We have a situation. Four AT-ST's were out scouting when they were attacked by the locals. Three are on their way back and crews are headed out to retrieve the fourth. According to reports the three are in bad shape and in need of repairs. We are the closest base so they are coming here for repairs. Head for Bay 7 and await instructions. Time for a pop quiz.”
The class rose from their chairs and shuffled out the door. As they headed for the receiving bay, Jenerin thought to himself, “They always put us rookies on the job.” The class ran through the door and came out in the receiving bay, and noticed that three AT-ST’s were entering through the rear. The first to enter was in the best condition, only some slight damage in the cockpit. The second had some damage done to the legs support systems, and the weapons were bent out of repair. They would have to replace both forward cannons. The third was in the worst condition possible, with severe damage to the leg hydraulics, and some major dents in the cockpit.
When they were all in the bay, they were all assigned a job on a specific walker. Jenerin and his partner Merety were assigned to the third walker. They approached the walker and saw the full extent of the damage. They would definitely have to replace quite a bit of the walker. The hydraulics had been punctured and were leaking fluid. The windows were darker than usual which meant that the console and maybe some other electronics had shorted out. The top hatch opened and a man stumbled out with great difficulty.
“We need a medic over here,” Jenerin shouted.
Some medics who were on standby ran in and helped the man down and rushed him off. Jenerin hurried up the ladder and peeked in the cockpit. He quickly pulled back at the stench and thick smoke that had rolled out of the hatch. He yelled down to his partner, “Help me out here. Oh yeah, bring some rebreathers.” He sat on the top, and shouted down to the other techs, “I’m going to need some wire and a new panel on standby. And I need someone to look at those hydraulics.” At about that time Merety had come up the ladder and handed him a mask. He quickly slipped it on and ducked into the cockpit. The other pilot was dead in his chair, clearly burnt from the panel exploding. He poked his head out and looked at Merety and said,” Hey can you help me with a stiff.” They went into the cockpit and eased the man from the chair and lifted him out, into the waiting arms of a medic who was nearby. Jenerin finally got a good look around. The panel would need to be replaced along with the comm. Systems and probably the sensors as well. He went about pulling out wrecked pieces and panels and pulling burned wiring from their sockets. Merety came back with the spare wire and headed back for the panel. Jenerin started putting fresh wiring in and restoring damaged connections. He went to where the panel used to be and started repairing the plugs and digging any corrosion out of the socket. His partner came in with the new panel and helped ease into place as Jenerin plugged in the components.
When they finally got the panel, comms, and sensors restored, Jenerin hooked power back up and started booting systems.
“Everything checks out green. We are done here.”
As Jenerin left the cockpit he noticed that work on the hydraulics was done, and the crews had buffed out most the dents and scratches. He crawled down the ladder and grabbed a towel to wipe his face and clean his hands. He headed to his quarters for a shower and thought to himself, I love my job, but a vacation couldn’t hurt either.

"See, if we pull out the security measures on your pistol, it should shoot farther and harder. It shouldn't explode as well. I think"

"He's in there, I was gonna shoot him but I was... busy."

Before I make any commentary on this.
Please space your dialogue into paragraphcs.
I think you tried to do it, but somewhere going from MSword to Comnet you lost the spacing. It makes it difficult to read.

I like the plot of your story, but it might have been just a a tad bit too short. Considering that this is your first story, it shouldn't be a problem. I'll let you know in PM later

Story 2: Electrical Systems

Therex was in the heat of battle. Not a place he liked to be when only armed with his tools. But he was called out to assist in repairs on turrets and vehicles. Therex and two of his fellow technicians, were leapfrogging from one turret to the next, constantly checking to make sure they were within operable condition and making sure that there were no lethal overloads or shorts. Every so often a vehicle would pull in, needing repairs, and one of the techs would peel off and help with repairs, leaving even fewer people than were recommended for operation of one of these mobile E-Web turrets. Usually you were supposed to have two people running them. One to actually shoot the turrets, which there was no shortage of trigger happy blaster fodder. And another to check the generators and regulate power flow. Now there was only three people jumping back and forth from six turrets. Every so often, one of the people manning the gun would be taken out only to be replaced by another poor soul. The Technicians on the other hand did not have that luxury. Already they had lost two technicians to injuries too severe for them to continue working.

At the moment Therex was trying to reroute power in one of the generators into another turret, so that he could swap out the generator without a short that would fry the gun, gunner, and maybe anything within several meters. As he lugged in another genny, one of the vehicles that was being repaired left the garage and joined the fight again. Therex sighed with relief as one of the technicians came running out to help. But the moment the air escaped his lungs, he realized it was premature a shot came out of nowhere and struck the technician, causing him to be thrown back against the garage wall.

"Snipers, Get down," Therex yelled as he ducked into the trench nearby. Two of the turrets swiveled and opened fire in the general direction of the snipers. Therex watched as one of the gunners was struck in the chest and went down in a bloody mess. As another trooper came up to take his place, Therex picked up a low hum coming from the generator. It was going to overload and explode if no one got there in time. Therex crawled out of his trench slowly made his way over to the turret. When he got close the humming went up in pitch, gradually increasing. Therex quickly crouched next to the turret and fished around for his tools. When his hand went to his belt, there was nothing there. Therex panicked and looked behind him noticing them still at the edge of the trench. He stood up to go after them when the generator's pitch increased suddenly. Therex looked out to his tools and realized he wouldn't have enough time to each them and fix the generator before it went critical. He quickly went through his possibilities and found only one solution that had any chance of success, and kept them alive. He quickly dropped back down and overrode all safety measures on the generator and turret. He then stood up and shoved the gunner out of the way. As he lined up his shot with the snipers he pulled all the power from the generator, and focused it all into on shot. When he pulled the firing stud the gun did nothing. Therex hesitated and was about to run back for the trench when the sound of a shot charging could be heard. He turned back and kept checking the power flow to make sure that the gun did not blow up from the massive inflow of power.

Slowly the generator quieted, only to be replaced by the hum of the gun charging. Once all the power was out of the generator, and was bouncing around inside the guns Galven coils, Therex released it all towards a cliff off in the distance, thought to be where the snipers were hiding. As the energy left the barrel, the force threw Therex an the turret back a couple meters. The energy traveled quickly towards the cliff, causing the entire side of the hill to explode. Distant screams could be heard, as the rubble fell down, crushing Rebels in the process. When the dust settled, Therex rolled over and stood up. When he looked over at once was the turret, he noticed the entire barrel had melted, and the genny had been ripped open. He walked over to the trench and began working on maintaining the generators running the remaining turrets.
  Will this ever end?

"Chiss don't invade the territories of others. We don't even make war against potential enemies unless we're attacked first."

"You have to admire the Chiss. They don't just steal your technology—they make it better."
