From my last post, in what direction should this go for Nazgul? I know we're attempting to gain starfighter superiority. So far I think I'm on the right track, and would like to remain so.

Well the point is to form up by the Tiamut but theres a battle going on so formations are hard to do.

Just for further clarification, all of Viper is now moving away from the main engagement.

The reasons for this were two fold:

1/ Clearly there's a lot of confusion right now, so it was easier just to 'remove' the squadron all together, to save you guys having to worry about what we're up to as well as you're squad mates.

2/ To give the squadron a single unifying objective, again to cut down on confusion, and minimalise the amount of back reading required. All Viper squadron needs to do at the moment is read my last post, and any subsequent Viper post there after. All other posts can be ignored. If something major happens, then i'll make sure it is made known to them.

Now for more general musings:

I know the concept of 'losing' may seem a bit alien, as giving the nature of this place, you wouldn't automatically think that losing scenarios would work.

It HAS been done in the past, but on a slightly less focused scale, so don't worry about it if you're slow in coming round to the idea.

Vender actually brings up a good point: A person with superior flying skills could feasibly out-fly and thus best even an opponent in a superior fighter, but lets look at the facts:

* Vender is, for all intensive purposes, a 'rookie' fresh out of the academy. That's not to say that you will suck - you will have needed to have been exceptional in some small way to even get into this 'elite' wing, but it's not too hard to imagine you still getting outflown by a lot of people.

* Your superior officer (Driver), even if he does come off slightly inarticulate :P has laid down some general guidelines with how this story needs to play out.

* It is also implied that we are supidly outnumbered, although as Ruwe points out, numbers are vague.

Posters need to keep these things in mind when posting. I know you want to show off your l337 skills, and I know that 'losing' isn't really fun, but consider it a challange: How can you MAKE it fun? How can you be creative with the scenario in order to bring forth an engaging post, win or lose?

Some general advice: If you're having trouble, just lighten the load a little bit. Instead of worrying who's where, what's what etc... just do a simple dogfighting post that can convey the desperation of the situation.

As for NPC's... if you can't make it fit, don't worry about it. Your Officers and Driver himself are more then capable of killing of the NPC's, and since it's our story then the onus is on us anyway to get that bit done. IF you can get it in, great, just be sure to tell Driver so he can cross another one off his list.

Try not to worry so much about the details, and just go with the flow, as they say

Also, the Phantom requires 2 pilots to fly. And the Phantom doesn't have any visual-masking capabilities, only advanced sensor masking. The one with the visual masking is Tie-Stealth.

posting at anytime after midnight is a bad idea...trust me i know from experience...i has no been unconfuzzled and am now making my post...not sure if itll be up tonite cuz i have to do LOTS of house cleaning...but it should be up within the next day...should i reserve my spot and make it a 24 hr reservation?

Actually Driver, i was thinking. We don't necessarily have to kill every single NPC. Some could still be used for RES after his mission. though the number still need to be pretty low.

You missed two from Viper's count I think, possibly 3, I can't remember.

You have to bear in mind though, that there's 4 whole NPC squadrons up there, some which we're not allowed to touch without Driver's permission. That's where most of the bodies are tied up.

Hey, Driver, mind if I use Ash as a member or SC in one of the NPC squadrons? He can be another sole survivor... Just like Rutian.

Excellent post, bjorkfrid. One thing, though: I think that I'm Gamma three, and Fallen Angel was Gamma four, but I could be wrong. That's just what I've been going by in my posts, at least.
