Last night, I watched the Video Game Awards on Spike. A lot of awesome stuff (in my opinion) happened such as Jack Black being dragged off the stage after destroying his award because he found his game "Brutal Legend" wasn't even nominated for the "Game of the Year" award and Samuel L. Jackson saying people think he'd be a Sith because he is a badass motherf**ker. Anyway, getting to the point I was wanting to make, many world premiers of new video games were shown last night, including the new Star Wars game. Before you start wondering what shit Lucas has come up with now, hold up a moment. The new SW game coming out next year is . . . I want to know when Lucas is going to stop screwin around and make a game worth it's shit. Why not make a free form, sandbox, open world roleplaying game for the console? Learn from the example of Bethseda's Elder Scrolls games and actually make a worth while game that ISN'T a mmo. I actually believe this game is going to be good. Based on the first one, it should be at least halfway decent unless they really fucked it up. Well the graphics and special effects are fantastic.
But the trailer is terribly scant on any sense of plot at all; besides the fact that he obviously changed his lightsaber style and he's now leaning towards the light side of the force. I can almost guarentee that you won't be fighting Rancors and giant Rancor Granddaddies the whole time though. :P |

I would rather see a Star Wars game that tries to do something innovative rather than re-skinning another game.
Not Star Wars Oblivion, which would simply be Fallout 3 with lightsabers, which in turn is just Oblivion with guns.
And not Star Wars GTA.
Let's see something new. After all, most of the recent Star Wars games have been nothing but what I've said above. Empire at War was a nice change, although need(s/ed) some work to iron out mechanics. The Old Republic looks fairly promising except the bot that follows you around the entire game for story purposes. COD/2LT Sandwich Sam/VEA/VE

well if I were to design a kick ass game it would be star wars galaxies but FPS style, choose to ride around in speeder, travel to different planets.
and to make money I would add planets as add-ons, problem is this game would take a huge chunk of hard drive space. Heavy Weapons Specialist

I agree with Ron. Though an empire at war-like Clone wars game, Or a First person shooter would be nice too. Any ideas on the plot for TFU 2 ? |

I don't know...SWGTA would probably be a very fun game. I know we've all wanted to be Han Solo at some point...
I need to go rent the original for 360...we've only got it for Wii and I don't have the patience for that controller.
