It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye... Then it's hilarious.

OOC:
Bear with me, I've just come back

With a blinding flash and a thunderous sonic boom, Urakai leapt into hyperspace, keeping his ship on manual. It was no more than a few hours ago that he had accepted his target, bleeping on his data pad. After returning from leave, Urakai was anxious to get underway on finding his mark, Jeron Archayen, though it gave him no pleasure doing work that profited a Hut. His mission was to retrieve him dead or alive for Gulla the Hut. Still, action was action, no matter its form. As the ship travelled through the pulsating blue streaks of space, Urakai’s datapad began rhythmically beeping, and then halted. This was the code that the probe droid he had sent out a couple of hours earlier had found the signature it was looking for. Instantly, the ship was re-routed to the Tatooine system, less then two parsecs from his current position. How convenient, make the catch and the drop off, all on the same planet. Urakai thought to himself.

In seemingly no time, the ship passed from the racing of stars to the glittering blackness of space. Slowly veering to the right, Urakai pulled the ship into view of Tatooine’s space station. As ports were limited, he docked the ship and caught a transport shuttle down to the planet’s surface with his speederbike in storage. The bumpy ride down only made the seconds spread, with each tick getting longer and longer. Checking to make sure his jump-jacket had his weapons concealed and secured; he braced for the landing at the port. Unloading his speederbike, Urakai took off from the small settlement to rendezvous with his specialized probe droid. The suns were rising above his back and created an ominous glow on the village ahead. Though appearing a rural community a couple of clicks from the shuttleport settlement, Urakai knew better. He had previously been informed of it as an arms cache, though mostly dealing in cyber warfare.

Urakai assumed people would think he was a contact or informer as he travelled alone on a single speederbike that was unfit for transporting goods. As he zoomed into sight, a couple of ‘locals’ appeared from one of the less interesting huts and moved a few meters forward to intercept the newcomer.

Finally coming to a halt, one of the ‘locals’ revealed a holstered pistol in a sly attempt to show authority as he asked, “And what’re you here for? We have no one listed for another week.”

“I’m actually here to see someone. I believe his name is Jeron. I was told at a cantina he was the man to see about getting a job.” Urakai replied.

The two guards looked at each other, then the other mentioned, “You were told about him eh? That’s funny because no commoner outside of this village or Gulla’s hideout knows his true name.”

At this point, Urakai had his hand in his jacket pocket as the guard then stated the obvious, “But then again, you’re not a commoner are you, ‘bounty hunter’.”

In less then a few seconds, the first guard whipped out his blaster, aiming chest high. Than, unexpectedly, the other pulled from behind his back the probe droid Urakai had sent out to trace Jeron.

“Yeah, there aint nothin’ we can’t hack. We knew you were coming all along, and now we get a free speederbike out of it.”

Urakai fidgeted in his pocket a bit, then calmly replied, “Yea, though I’d bet there was one thing you forgot about.”

Instantly a shockwave sent each guard flying, followed by the probe droid exploding into a million pieces. Luckily, the blast radius was only a meter or so wide, thus unharming Urakai, but killing the dimwits that held him up. Pulling out the datapad from his pocket, he deleted the self-destruct code from the screen and replaced the pad inside his jacket for his DL-15 pistol. Quickly cruising over the corpses, Urakai travelled towards the centre hut, ignoring the few mechanics and lifters that bolted out of his way. Hopping off the speeder, he moved inside, where a guard raised his pistol to fire, but was too late. Embers were already flying off his burning chest as Urakai sent a blast whizzing through the air. A small circular hatch was on the floor next to the body, which was opened by a turn and lift.

Lights were visible, guiding the climber down a small ladder and into a bright, white walled room. As he slid down, Urakai could then see nothing but a blast door and a strange keypad a few meters in front. Having little time to think, the hatch above him shut tight, leaving no escape route.

“Ah, I see three parts fool, one part brave, and six parts bounty hunter!” snickered a man through a microphone Urakai had not yet located.

Putting his hands in his pockets, he responded, “Jeron. What’s a drip like you festering in a hole in the ground for? Ever heard of fresh air?”

“Haha,” Jeron nervously spoke, “very funny… but what I’d like to see is you getting through my system. I can assure you, I’ve worked on it for three years and it cannot be hacked open! Furthermore are the sentries guarding beyond! I’d say give up and shoot yourself now before you died of toxic gas.”

Taking one look at the keypad, Urakai smirked and swung his retractable electrostaff out and into full buzz. Knowing the opening port for every door was right above the keypad, he gave the wall one swift stroke before the electronic buzz swept through the room. Instantly, through the array of sparks, the door swung open. Two red lasers poked through as it opened, meaning the sentries were taking aim. Urakai then reached into his jacket and pulled out the stun grenade he had been saving and threw it through the door. The shockwave hit both the sentries, disabling their basic circuit boards and thus shutting them down. Running into the room with his electrostaff buzzing, Urakai zapped the small thin man trying to escape by the ankles, sending him over a desk and chair.

With both his arms and legs bound, Jeron was dragged out up the hatch and through the hot sand where he was strapped, unconscious on the back of Urakai’s speeder. With just one bolt, from the DL-15, Jeron’s life was ended from a blast to the head. I don’t know what you’ve done to piss Gulla off, but trust me, I just saved you a living hell. Urakai silently thought to himself as he rode off to find Gulla’s contact.

Hmh, all in all a good read Uruk.
One sentence didn't make sense though.

Urakai zapped the small thin many trying to escape by the ankles, sending him over a desk and chair.

And then watch out, you switch "than" and "then"

That should be a 2% fine against your final payment. Not much.
But seriously, I enjoyed it though I would like to see some more character development for the next story

Payment: 15 000
Fines: 2%
