I'm going backpacking for 10 days, starting a 30 hour bus trip tonight to Torres Del Paine.Directly after that its 3 weeks going to the North of Chile, might go shopping in Peru. Angel, if you think its best that Im put in Reserves then please do so. My activity after this long Leave should be returning to normal though. Anycase, adios, still need to buy hiking boots,

ons again, images courtesy of google until I upload my photos. I am in Arica, which lies on the most northen part of Chile next to the border of Peru which I actually visited and intend to revisit soon. Arica is more or less a coastal city on the edge of the Atacama, one of the driest deserts in the world, it hasn´t rained in 400 years in some places of course, and apparently, its terrain is used to test robots that are sent to Mars, because its the place with enviroment closest to the planet. Of course, I visit Chungara, the highest lake accesible by car or bus in the word above see level, 4500m. Goodness, its not a nice feeling, but super beautifull. My stay is almost over here, before I return to Santiago, I should have a few days open in which I can post and things, before I take another to another place south.
