Alrighty, Blue has posted a new Reaper tome, this one w/guidance and a lead that wont retire half way thru...hear that Blue, dont retire...so have at.

The roster has been changed somewhat. Reaper is now divided into two detachments, Chaos and Epsilon.

One thing we seem to be lacking is some organization. When it comes to pounding the ground and slinking around, Driver is in charge. The detachment leaders are in direct command of their detachments. A lot of times the whole unit will work together, but if they will ever need to split up, they will know who goes with who.

The majority of matters within Reaper will be cast to a vote. I will vote last, if at all. If a tie breaker is needed, my vote can sway the topic.

Membership recruitment will be done by nomination. One current Reaper member will nominate someone and it will be put to popular vote. These will be done through ComNet PM (unless we end up with our own private ComNet... we'll see if we need it). Reaper Unit will be full at 6 operatives.

I've asked around about who is in charge of what and I'm getting mostly shrugs. I'll try not to step on toes, but you'll see me stepping up and taking care of things.

With my return everyone is probably wondering where Reaper goes from here.  Since we are no longer constrained with some of the structure Darr insisted on, we have some new features that Talon and I have discussed.

Structurally Reaper falls under something called the Covert Operations Directorate.  The Director will be Talon who shall command Task Force Iota as listed under the new Order of Battle for the defensive fleet.  Talon is going to continue his role in providing stories, help with writing, and assistance in the story as an overall coordinator/taxi driver/information supplier.

Under the director are people who serve as covert operations field commanders just as before.  You could roughly compare these to CIA section chiefs although less rooted in one area or sector.  These agents have contacts, resources, and assets on the ground that can be used to assist you in the stories.  For now, the only one of these people popping up in the stories is me.  Officially I am not longer Doashim commander.  My primary cover is as a senior agent for ICS and as a navy adjutant/advisor when a uniform is required.  Your team will run into my character from time to time in the stories.

Under the field commanders are units such as Reaper who are our covert operations teams.  You already know what you do so I need not elaborate more than that.

I've talked to a couple of you guys about getting the story going and someone (sorry, I don't recall who) said they wanted to get everyone together to talk about the story. Well, if you want a Reaper meeting, it's not going to happen by itself. Let's get it rolling.

Why not meet prior to or after tomorrow's VE meeting?

Also, a minor detail.  I think Talon should take over the owner status of the channel, I should receive sops, and Driver should receive hops.

I was just going to leave the channel as-is because it doesn't much matter, but since you brought it up I took over ownership and gave everyone AOP.

Has someone been deleting posts again? :P

To convey what Stormz said, I too think Blue should be stripped of his AOPS :P

Alright. We're finally rolling. Thanks Ibram. One thing I see a lot of is missions stalling when people are scared to take the lead and get their party off of the ship and down on the planet. Dont' wait for me. I'm just here to shape the story.

Two notes:

Ibram, I know when there's nothing but dialog you won't be making proper paragraphs (at least 3 sentences) but there were times that I couldn't tell who was speaking because you didn't even mention it. Try to break up large sections of dialog with details and such. Good post though.

One thing I'd like to avoid in our stories is "Previous to [person]'s post:" stories. If we've skipped something you'd like to bring into the story, write it in later as something that no one else noticed but happened or ask the person who wrote too much/too early to edit or delete their post. If it's important enough, you can ask me to do it. I will always save copies of posts I delete so no one loses their work.

So this is what I was talking about with wanting to help people with their writing. It's nothing personal and I'm not talking trash about your writing. You guys are here because you're good. I'm here to help you make yourself better. I am by no means God's gift to fiction writing, but please don't turn down my help because of pride. I even accept criticism from you guys.

Yeah, I don't like the "he said/she said" crap either. Not a lot of it anyway. While it's something to minimize, it's still a valid option for your writing. Just try not to overdo it. If you look in my initial post there are times that I don't even mention who is speaking because it's implied. So yeah, I'm not trashing your style.. just maybe mix it up a bit? I know there are times when there's something you want to say and there isn't much of a better way of doing it, so no worries.

Next person has the option of putting us on the planet. You gave a little bit of time left for someone to do something else quickly. I will not be the one to write you guys onto the planet though. It's all you from here on out.
