Daishi sat at his desk and contemplated the problems now facing the Vast Empire. They had managed to deal a major military blow to thier enemies but no one really knew who they were, where they were, or if they had more forces to start a new offensive against the VE. Daishi was determined to change that.
Kuroishi walked into the office right on time. The two were still some what uncomfortable around the other.
"Have you looked over my plan?" Daishi said after several moments of silence.
"Yes. It is interesting. We haven't done something like this since sometime before Eridani. I'll do it solo so you don't have to pay any other mercenaries this time around but you'll still have to figure out how to get me there." Kuroishi replied.
"Actually I have that worked out. The Royal Barkalounger's stealth systems have been made operational once again by VEEC engineers. I'll get you down in one piece, it will be up to you to do the rest. I'll see about transfering enough funds to your account to handle the maintenance of that new nerfvette of yours, it's the least I can pay you for this." Daishi said as he began to shuffle some data pads into a case.
"Sounds like fun, when do we leave?" Kuroishi retorted.
"Soon as I make my diversion with Riel." Daishi responded.
Daishi stood from his desk and marched toward the Naval Commander's office.
This was the fourth command Daishi had served under since he started his work as tactical officer. Daishi was begining to think he was a jinx for the people who occupied the position.
The reception droid motioned Daishi through for his appointement.
"Daishi, I have looked over your plan and I'll let you proceed for now. Though if anything goes wrong you and your otherself will be on your own." Riel Fury said as soon as Daishi walked in the door.
"Don't worry too much Riel I'll make sure they never trace it back to the VE." Daishi responded.
"I also want my Tactical officer back alive and quite frankly I can tell when the one of you that leads the Fallen Angels is covering for you." Riel said as he motioned for Daishi to leave.
Soon Daishi would have the equipment neccessary to carry out his darin plan. Soon he would need the pilots to go with it.

It had been a long time since Daishi had made the trip he was currently on.
Erebria, the old capital of the Intruder Wing was now in New Imperium hands since the collapse of the old faction. A long time ago there used to be what Daishi was looking for here and according to the latest intelligence reports it was still here.
Daishi had to be very carefull as the New Imperium seemed to decide to call the VE enemy a while ago and after the entire Jethro incedent there was a price on his head personally.
Now he and his otherself had come back to raid the old Intruder Wing stockpiles for something very specific.
"We have thirty seconds until we come out of hyperspace and two minutes until we reach drop point. Are you sure your ready for this?" Daishi asked his otherself.
"They'll never even know I was there, what was stolen, or who did it." Kuroishi replied.
Daishi just nodded as he pulled the Royal Barkalounger back into realspace.
The stealth systems hummed to life just as Daishi started counting the number of ships in the garrison. Erebria made for a rather good stagin point due to the nebula that partially obscured the system which made recon missions much more difficult. Daishi suspected other worlds of the IW held what he was after but coming here would also answer a few more questions.
Daishi chuckled to himself as he passed a floating monument to the great clash between the IW and NR. The remains of the MC-120 Darkstar and a NR SSD made up a stark reminder for all that passed by this planet that there was once a terrible and mighty power here but even they fell.
The Royal Barkalounger entered the atmosphere and made it's way to the drop zone. Soon his other self would HALO jump and the operation would be underway.
"Now." Daishi said in the comm as he watched his other self jump.
Diashi knew that it was very likely that someone noticed the Royal Barkalounger's entry into the atmosphere but if Daishi's calculations were correct in about thirty seconds there would be a meteor shower to cover his tracks. Unfortunately he couldn't risk staying to find out.
The NI had a small garison for this world but considering it's tactical and strategic values it didn't need much of one.
All Daishi could do now was ruturn home and wait for his other self. ----------------------- Barron Administrator Daishi

Suddenly, his comm lit up, and a holo of the two Argons came up.
This didn't really bother anyone except other Whiphids, since they all looked alike to other species, and they were pretty used to each other.
"Hey,"said the VEA Argon,"Why didn't you tell us about this!?!"
"Yeah,"said the FA Argon,"we want in." ----------------------- Argon Viper

Daishi couldn't help but admir the Fallen Angels and Dread Knights for thier unsurpassed ability to find out just about anything classified.
"All right who did you threaten to sell clones of to find out about this, or should I not know?" Daishi said back into the comm.
"If you have to ask do you really want to know?" The two Argons replied back.
"All right I'll pick you up so you can be in stage two. Now I need eight more pilots and this just may work." Daishi retorted as he shook his head.
****On the surface of Erebria****
Kuroishi snuck past the third security patrol in the star port he had seen thus far and was starting to wonder if what he was looking for was still here.
So far Kuroishi had confirmed most of his suspicions but he didn't have any hard evidence that anyone that was involved in the recent attacks against the VE was on Erebria.
The empty hallways of the star port made Kuroishi nervous but he knew how to get around security cameras without being detected. When the port had been active under the Intruder Wing there were hundreds of military personel and merchants passing through the hub and now it lay silent just waiting to betray Kuroishi's pressence to the New Imperium masters it now served.
Kuroishi started to work on the port authority office door. Soon he would have all the information he would need.
The computer sat lifeless infront of him.
Kuroishi closed the door behind him and began to work on the terminal to disconnect it from it's power supply and reroute it's network connections. Kuroishi then wired a blaster power pack into the computer as a power supply and started the computer back to life.
The first freighter he was looking for was still where it had been left and there were no indications that it had been tampered with or it's cargo unloaded. The second frieghter had been moved but according to the computer systems it also had been left alone.
Kuroishi continued to slice his way through the star port computer system and started looking through the logs for what ships had been through the port recently and transfered the list to a data pad, it would be usefull to VE intel and GUESSWORK.
Kuroishi then started slicing the orders into the system for the two freighters to depart in an hour.
Kuroishi left the office and procceded to the high security hanger where the second frieghter was located. The walk was long and arduous with all the automated security Kuroishi had to face.
Kuroishi looked through his infared scope to see how many guards were on the ship, only four humanoids.
Kuroishi grabbed his double barreled blaster rifle in one hand and an ion rifle in the other hand.
Kuroishi blasted the sensors with his ion rifle so that no alarms would sound when he fired his blaster.
The door to the hanger refused to open when Kuroishi approached it. Kuroishi fired several ion shots into the door as well then holstered his ion rifle.
Kuroishi grinned fiendishly under his helmet as he worked the command detonated C-8 block into the proper shape and position to knock the door down.
Kuroishi set the blocks off and charged into the hanger and quickly gunned down two of the human guards before anyone could react. Then Kuroishi saw two Wookies and some sort of reptilian creature that Kuroishi couldn't readily recognize but was obviously cold blooded.
Kuroishi traded his double barreled blaster rifle for his vibro katana and turned the restraints on his armor off.
The resulting spray of body parts made Kuroishi remember just how dangerous this katana of his was.
Kuroishi checked the slave rig connection between the two frieghters and was glad to see that they were still working. Kuroishi checked the cargo read outs and saw what he was after. It was time to leave.
Kuroishi took the other frieghter out first and then he followed with the other.
Kuroishi hoped that his other self was in ready to cover him if they figured out that his flight plan clearance was forged.
"This is tower control, please verify your flight number and destination as per regulations." The comm falshed as the officer spoke.
"Frieghters Artimies and Orion making a supply run to Eridani. Flight number is 188 decimal 45." Kuroishi replied calmly.
"Roger freighter Artimies. Freighter Orion please confirm as well." The comm officer said as Kuroishi scrambled to put together a haphazard excuse.
"Freighter Orion is experiencing trouble with its comm systems. It is under autopilot anyway." Kuroishi responded.
"Very well you are cleared for exodus." The comm officer replied.
Kuroishi was carefull with his communications with the tower but he could tell the officer on the other end wasn't buying the comm failure on the other transport story.
Kuroishi saw the opening in the garrison he was supposed to go through and he knew if something was up he would be attacked in a few minutes. Kuroishi watched the counter click down until he was clear of the planet's gravity well and he could hyperjump to safety.
Then Kuroishi saw them, a squadron of TIE Fighters and two gunboats on approach.
"LAUNCH UNIT ONE NOW!" Kuroishi shouted his comm.
Daishi looked down at the display of the TIE Horror when he heard his other self call for help. Only fouteen targets. This was going to be fun.
Daishi had brough the fighter out from storage just for this purpose. He was also glad it had a much faster hyperdrive then the Royal Barkalounger or his trip to pick them up and be back in time to help his other self with the Royal Barkalounger would have been worthless.
"Good mourning sunshine." Daishi said into his comm as he locked onto the first gunboat and fired a pair of advanced missles.
Daishi pushed the throttle to max and locked onto the second gunboat and dispatched it before the TIE Fighters even started turning toward him.
"One bomb, two bomb, three bomb, hit the floor." Daishi sang to himself as he locked onto and dispacthed three TIE Fighters.
Daishi switched over to lasers and linked in the ion cannons of the TIE Horror and started chasing after the remaining nine T/F's.
"Wun you wascilly wabbit, wun. Huhuhuhuh." Daishi said over an open channel as he started firing into the formation of T/F's.
A few of the T/F's managed to return fire and drain the T/H's shields down to 150%.
"Are you clear yet Kuroishi, I have a T/A squadron and a GUN squadron on approach, I can't hold that many at bay at once." Daishi asked rethorically.
"Keep your pants on I'm getting out.......NOW!" Kuroishi said as he pushed the hyperdive into action.
"I'd love to stay and dance but I've got another date waiting for me." Daishi said as he locked his remaining seven advanced missles onto thier own target.
'I'm glad I finally worked that problem out.' Daishi thought to himself.
Daishi turned his fighter around and punched the hyperdrive activation lever.
"All right let's go get us some more pilots so we can do this thing." Kuroishi and Daishi said in unison.

Things were starting to fall apart like they ussually did again. Daishi was running out of time and he had only one agent willing to collect the information he needed in order to strike at his intendid target.
Worse yet the NI was rebuilding it's losses from it's most recent conflicts and if he didn't get what he needed soon the entire operation would be way too risky to attempt.
Daishi was starting to tire of this never ending cycle. Operatives not getting him the information he needed, technicians not programing the training simulations he needed to prepare pilots for his campaigns, and pilots who only rallied when there was a direct threat to the fleet.
Several times Daishi had tried to coordinate an offensive action only to see it fail because he could not get the support he needed, yet every time an enemy fleet popped into one of the VE's systems and actually possed a major threat did the navy act. Daishi couldn't blame anyone at all for this except maybe himself.
Daishi was a hold over from the old empire. Not content to sit back and stay on the defensive when an attack could and should be launched. He knew that some of his choices in the past have brought about some of the problems he was now dealing with. In all too short of a span of time Daishi had seen the cycle.
Daishi looked at his other self. They both knew what had to be done now.
Kuroishi stood and looked at Daishi.
"I knew this would happen someday. Hopefully I'll see you in person again. I'll be leaving for NI space shortly so that you may get the information you need." Kuroishi said as he left the office.
Daishi tossed his armor off as quickly as he could and got on a pair of technicians overalls and set to work on a simulator computer.
"If you want something done around this place do it yourself." Daishi muttered to himself as he started programing the variables.

Kuroishi was supposed to be on his way to the New Imperium to gather information for his other self but he had been itching for a good prank war for so long now that he just couldn't help himself anymore.
Kuroishi grabbed a homeless man off the street earlier that morning.
His objective was to sneak into the trunk of Threeof4's personel car. The homeless man so absolutely desperate for food agreed to do it for ten ic's.
Kuroishi walked up to the guards and starting mumbling some beureucratic nonsense while the homeless man snuck into the trunk of the car.
Kuroishi was amazed at what some people would do for pocket change.
Satisfied Kuroishi began walking to the starport, he had a mission to do now. ----------------------- The Head Terrorist

Daishi looked down at the report. The garrisons at his selected targets had been increased to such a point that the operation was going to have to be a wash. Sure there were other targets they could hit from VE space but then they wouldn't be able to get the effect Daishi was after.
The cargo he liberated would still be usefull though he would have to wait until he could approach his replacement with the idea.
Daishi was too much of a fighting leader to just stay idle for this long but he knew without support he could do nothing.
The riggors of everything had gotten to him over the last few months. Now that Daishi was trying to find a role for himself again it left him more detached then ussual. To make things worse the closest thing he had to friends were the Fallen Angels and they had slipped off to some hole to hid from the bounty hunters that were coming after them as of late.
Daishi knew that it would eventually be his turn to lay low but for now he felt safe aboard the Atrus continueing work on a simulator program.
All Daishi could do now was wait and watch to see if someone was going to make a move. ----------------------- RA(U) Daishi COSOS
