Alright people that participated in the ComNet Stories, here's your chance to help us make these stories even better.  What we're looking for here is some bios.  Now they don't have to be the quality that you find on such wonderful channels as A&E, but they need to show some thought.  Before I get to the rules, let me run down the list of prizes, cause that's all you guys really care about.  You all just want some IC's so that you can goto the store and give it all to Fury.  And he likes that arrangement. For the divsion that has the largest percentage of bios for their group size posted: Each person that participates in this competition gets 10,000 IC's.  (Ladies and Gentlemen, that is one heck of a lot of urinal cakes).  For each squad or squadron that gets at least 75% of their members to post a bio, each person in that squad gets an additional 2,500 IC's.  If the Squad or Sqadron gets all their members.  I'll double that.  (That's 5,000 IC's, for those of you that aren't Canada's Mathmatical Prodigy)  For the best bio in a division, you get 50,000 IC's.  The Bio's will be preselected by myself, narrowing down the bios to 5 in a division, and a secret panel of judges will get to decide who wins out of those 5.  Btw, this part is looking for Quality, not Quantity.  Because we are looking for quality, you guys will have 2 weeks to do this.  I.E. on March 18th 2002 the competition will be closed and judging will begin.  The meeting on the 24th will be when  the winners are announced and money will be given out. For each bio that is submitted, each person will get 2,000 IC's.  Now, here's the hard part.  Not just any bio counts.  It has to fit the following specs.  There's some information that people want to see in your bios, and therefore you need to put this information in.  Don't worry, you can still be creative,  but just put this information in.  Here's a template:

Note this is not your personal information, we at the Vast Empire will never ask for your personal information.  Just fill this in with your Character's information. Now once you write all this information up, you have to do two things with it. 1) You have to post your bio on the roster. 2) You also have to send it IN A TEXT FILE, to me at: [email protected] If you want to include pictures, please go right ahead.  You can just attatch them to your email.  Lots of money can be won from this little competition, I hope you all choose to participate.

I've had a couple of people come up to me and tell me that they don't know anything about Star Wars locations for their birth place.  There are several places to find information about planets, unfortunately I could only find this one atm.  I know there's a better one out there, I just haven't found it yet, I'll post it, or someone else will post it for me later. Awesome, that's actually the one I was looking for Talon. An interesting point was brought up by Fury, apparently he wants to buy some urinal cakes as well.  The people that are not in a squad or squadron, i.e. the Platoon Commanders, the High Commands of the Army and Navy, the Wing Commanders.  They all get grouped into a squad/squadron for this competition.  So anybody in the army that's a Platoon Commander or higher (including the Army High Command) is apart of the Army Commanders squad, and every one in the Navy that's a Wing Commander (i think that's the next highest group) and up  (including the Naval High Command Squadron) is the Navy Commanders Squad.  So if these squads get 75% of their bios done, they get 2,500 IC's and for all the people they get 5,000 IC's additional. So far I've received one Bio.  Good luck to all.

Thanks to the quality engineering of the VEEC (veec.vastempire.com) we now have a cool web page thingy for the Bio Competition.  Web pages are so cool.  I can put stuff out on it, and you can read it.  It's even got colors and pictures, and most importantly text.  It rocks.  But here I am keeping all the page to myself, I should be nice and share it. Biography Competition  You should all go there now and yell at people who don't have bio's turned in.  Esp if they are your squad leader or in the High Command of your division.  YELL AT THEM.  Tell them I sent you

Well the page is updated again, The Navy had a surge today and managed to tie the score at 10.  The funny thing is, is that some member of the Navy High Comand (I can't mention who) said that he wanted all Navy people to participate in this competition, and yet neither him nor any of the other members of the Navy High Command Squadron have sent in their bios.  Kinda quirky ain't it? Now something that I've noticed.  Some peopel that have two characters, one in the Navy and one in the Army, have only been sending in their bios for one of those divisions.  Guys, it's an extra 2k if you send in your bio for the other division as well.  Besides, if that division ends up winning, you're guarenteed prize money.  Go figure. Also the elite squadron in the Navy is getting beat.  Go figure, I thought the were elite.  I know, they're just making their bios that much better.  Of course, why else would none of them have sent in their bio.  Needless to say I'm quite disapointed.  I'm tempted to just cancel the whole thing and keep my money.  So I guess if you guys actually want these IC's you better start posting.
