Risk and Romance (Nams, Riq, Saph)

Sighing while he leaned back in his chair, Riqimo wondered how much farther his fuse went.  Certainly not much farther, as two of the newer recruits had already caused more damage to military property than Riq had in his entire career with the VE.  Thank god his smuggling days were not considered in there though, that might have led to some issues with that claim.  He had talked to Jersh earlier and would have talked to Saph at the same time had she not been out a little later doing something.

As Saph entered, Riq eased his chair back down and nodded to her while clearing some space on his cluttered desk, “Well, I think you know why you are here.  Let me say that personally I don’t care too much about the actual chain of events that led to whatever happen.”

She nodded silently, her scarlet lekku moving in a manner showing respectful apology to her commanding officer.

“I am giving only a warning this time around, but next time I will have to do something.  Understood?”

“Yes, sir.” came the almost programmed reply.  Riqimo was almost getting tired of those two words put together almost all the time.

“Anyways, there’s someone I like you to meet, friend of mine.  Thought you two would enjoy meeting each other or whatever.”  Riqimo shrugged now that the business was over with and swung his feet onto his desk where he had cleared some space earlier.  “Perfectly optional mind you, just thought she would of interest.  I‘ll treat both of you to dinner even, nice five star place out in the city, has some good Twi‘leki cuisine I am told by a reliable source.”

Saphira appeared surprised at her squad leader’s sudden change to casualness, but nodded, “I don’t have much else to do right now, and free food is hard to turn down, especially if it is how you put it.”

“Great then, we’ll head on down to the apartment,” Riq eased his feet of the black marble desk, “She is expecting me in about an hour, we’re gonna need all that time to get over there.”

...  ...  ...

Riqimo muttered as he messed around with his keycards trying to find the right one.  Saph appeared surprised that Riq had a keycard to the apartment, but said nothing as he opened the door and motioned her in.

“Nams?  I have a guest I thought you might want to meet,” Riq called out as he intentionally bumped the cleaning droid onto its side.  It gave the usual stream of droid curses and attempted to upright itself.

“Really? Who is...” Nams had appeared in the hallway, her favorite dress already on for the night out.  She had stopped suddenly at the sight of another Lethan Twi’lek, a slightly shorter one, but another one all the same.  Saph was in a similar silence.

Riq shrugged as he moved down the hallway, “Namyr this is Saphira, one of my new troopers.  Saphira, this is Namyr, Raider’s Squad and one of the ARC Lambdas.  Now excuse me a moment, I need to change into something a little more formal.  Saph, I am sure Nams has something that will fit you fine, have your little female bonding whatnot while I get a quick shave as well.”

... Saph, I am sure Nams has something that will fit you fine, have your little female bonding whatnot while I get a quick shave as well.”

With that doc left the two women alone. Setting her jaw , Saphira walked farther in. Her eyes just soaking in the other female. Not to what to say. Nams beat her first.

"New recruit eh?" She smiled as Saph rolled her eyes. The whole newbie thing was getting old. "So how did he manage to drag you here?" She asked with a grin stating to Doc's personality. Grinding her teeth  Saph peered around to see if he could be over hearing them.

"Honestly, after he grilled me in the office about how a ... Squadmate and I trashed the training room.. Doc wanted me to meet you.. and the offer of free food was appealing. Be alot better then the galley or rations at any cost." She replied, crossing her arms over as Nams arched an eye at him. Another squadmate eh.. I bet.. She kept the thought to herself, smiling nicley for a bit.

"So, how much do you know about doc?" She asked walking  over to the counter proping her arms up to lay her head against it.  AGain saph rolled her eyes and both women started to chuckle as if they told a peronal joke.

"Not a whole lot, but from what the guys have said I think he's a womenizer." Then going on to explain to her the comment that was made on their last mission about someone having her sit on their lap. "All the guys looked right at him as DOc gave an innocent look. So Yea.. I get some speculation on him."  Nams chuckled as she sensed Saphs annoyingness with her SL.

Eyeliner was such a fickle thing to deal with, in fact Namyr was in the middle of her third try, when she heard the door. A quick swipe with a towel took off the crooked lines that for some reason Namyr could do perfectly like she was usually able. Namyr busied herself by straightening her dress and heading to great Riqimo and also hassle him for being late. Namyr let out a low chuckle as there was a thump and the cleaning droid let out a row of curses. She wasn't sure what was with Riqimo and cleaning droid but it gave her something extra to chuckle about.

“Nams? I have a guest I thought you might want to meet,” Riqimo said dashing Namyr's urge to greet him with a kiss and change their dinner plans. She let out a small sigh hoping it wasn't another General that she had to play 'good housing keeping,' for, she hated that.

“Really? Who is...” Namyr began as she walked into the room and her own yellow eyes locked with a pair of grey ones. Namyr let out a shaky breath as she stared at the female Lethan Twi'lek who was staring back at her. In all her years living had Namyr ever seen another Lethan? She couldn't remember ever meeting one, nor seeing another on the street. She felt her cheeks flush a little, briefly wondering why Riqimo had brought this other woman with him home. She squeezed her hand into a fist, her knuckles cracking, if he thought for one moment that she and her, and him? Namyr blinked, she needed to get ahold of her anger, and her assumptions.

“Namyr this is Saphira, one of my new troopers. Saphira, this is Namyr, Raider’s Squad and one of the ARC Lambdas. Now excuse me a moment, I need to change into something a little more formal. Saph, I am sure Nams has something that will fit you fine, have your little female bonding whatnot while I get a quick shave as well," Riqimo made his hasty introduction, and rather rudely left Namyr alone with Saphira. This was one of those times that she wanted to follow after Riqimo and kick him into next week. Would it have hut him to give her a call in advance that he was bringing someone with him? He knew how she was with strangers and yet he continued to do things like this, and Namyr did not like being surprised, particularly by another Lethan Twi'lek. And of course being a man automatically assumed that she would have something that would fit this woman who was at least five inches shorter then Namyr and a little bit curvier. Namyr's teeth grounded together, she would have a talk with Riqimo later that was for sure.

"New recruit eh?" Namyr finally asked, it was all she really could ask, most people would take offense to personal questions right away and Namyr wasn't the type to give anything away unless she was asked. She was also uncomfortable with the situation, she didn't warm up to people very well and having another female Twi'lek suddenly shoved into her dinner plans when it was suppose to be a Riqimo and Namyr's time together. Something they hadn't had for several weeks and Namyr had been looking forward to for the last week.

Saph rolled her eyes, obviously she was tried of the 'new solider,' comment and Namyr let it go, "So how did he manage to drag you here?" she asked a simple enough question on the straining conversation.

"Honestly, after he grilled me in the office about how a ... Squadmate and I trashed the training room.. Doc wanted me to meet you.. and the offer of free food was appealing. Be alot better then the galley or rations at any cost," Saph said and grinned, Namyr frowned a little wondering what Riqimo had introduce her as, Saph wasn't acting like she knew they were a couple, let alone Namyr wondered why Riqimo was offering to pay for another woman's dinner without discussing it with her first. She sudden;y felt like there was a lot that Riqimo wasn't telling her, or even discussing with her the thing that could be talked about, it wasn't the first time since they had started seeing one another that Namyr felt cold and alone. Almost everyday she felt some for of loneliness, sometimes coming from Riqimo and sometimes she felt like some object that Riqimo was clinging to for one reason or another. Goddess knew she loved the vertically challanged man, but in recent times she felt she was losing the man she had fallen in love with.

"So, how much do you know about Ri...Doc?" Namyr said correcting herself, she had to keep in mind that Riqimo was still this woman's superior and keeping up a professional front while she was around was necessary, and that drove Namyr's temper a little more. This was suppose to be their night, now they'd have to play the professional role the entire night. Namyr felt a little bitter, biting her lip hard wanting to go back to the bedroom and punch Riqimo.

"Not a whole lot, but from what the guys have said I think he's a womenizer," Saph said before launching into a story that Namyr only half listened to, the girl seemed nice, and being Twi'lek she was pretty, but nothing Namyr should feel malice for. Namyr grinned at her female tendencies, she really did have to learn to trust people, starting with Riqimo.

"Well come on, I might have something that might fit you, why Riq didn't let you go home and then come here is beyond me," Namyr said giving a toothy smile leading Saph to her bedroom, 'Shortstuff out!" Namyr demanded to a surprised Riqimo who had been dancing to some music on the radio, badly to Namyr's a amusement, and he had his shirt off, the cloth dangled in his hand as he looked at the two female in mock horror and surprise.

"Erm, getting groove on," Riqimo murmured, "Be in the shrine," he added and left the room, his face red, and Namyr chuckled, 'This is what I have to deal with on a daily basis," she pointed out going over to the closet and opening it to a wardrobe of mostly, black, oranges, and yellows.

'something tells me you're not really a orange or yellow person," Namyr said mostly to herself digging through the closet. Her cheeks grew red as she realized that Saph had a full view of her back, and of the thousands of scars that criss crossed, "Here we go," Namyr said pulling out a light blue dress, simple short hem that came up to mid thigh and low neckline, "You can keep it, I'm not really a fan of blue," Namyr said and managed a smile, "You can change in here and you can help yourself to some of my jewelry, I'll be back in a bit, shout if you need anything," Namyr said casually backing out of the room and hoping that Saph wasn't the sort to ask too many question.

Namyr walked down the hall to the large corner room, think red carpet covered the floor, she smirked as she watched Riqimo sit on the floor studying the broken blades that were adorn against one of the walls along with several other Twi'lek weapons, Namyr's collection of home as well as a Shrine to the high goddess. Namyr leaned against the doorway, content on watching the back of Riqimo's head as he was lost in his thought. Quietly, making sure not to make a noise as she walked, she wrapped her arms around his waist and sat down behind him.

"Hey," she mumbled resting her head on Riqimo's shoulder.

"Mmm, hey," Riqimo replied, "Are you ever going to have the blades on your blades repaired?" he asked his body leaning against Namyr, she felt him relax a little and she chuckled a little.

"Probably not, it's not how us Twi'leks do such things. When a blade breaks it is not used again in respect for the blade and mother goddess," Namyr said running her fingers through Riqimo's hair and kissing the back of his head, "You looked very silly trying to dance," she mentioned.

'I know," Riqimo grinned turning his head in time to receive a kiss from Namyr before she stood up again.

'Don't think this gets you out of my anger for you inviting someone along on our time together," she added frowning a little, 'You should know better Riq'eswo, we have hardly any time for one another as it is," Namyr turned and left the room and headed back to the bedroom, opening the door she found Saph dressed.

"How did you get those scars, i mean..." Saph started, great it was goignt o be one of those evenings.

Riq was humming along to the radio as he started to unbutton his uniform, he knew Nams most likely wasn't happy about bring over another recruit, but Saph seemed a little untrusting of Riq, and he hoped to change that a little.  He couldn't have his troopers going about and not trusting him when the moment was needed most.  Of course if Riq...

Oh, I love this song, Riq began shifting from humming to a little more actual dance movements.  Granted he sucked at dancing, despite Namyr's love for it and every attempt to teach him.  She had gotten him halfway through ballroom dance before throwing her hands up and pushing Riq down in frustration.  Night ended well enough that day.

The door opened up to Riq nodding his neck to the side to the music, he threw up his arms and pretended to be shocked at Nams.  Seeing Saph behind her, Riq muttered a little embarassed "Erm, getting groove on, be in the shrine..." He grabbed a bowtie off his dresser and threw the unbuttoned shirt on before brushing past the two Lethan Twi'leks.  They seem to be  getting along just fine, hopefully Nams won't kill me for bringing in someone I thought she'd like to meet.

Tying the bowtie in the hallway mirror, Riqimo felt Nams come up from behind and rest her head on his shoulder, one of her lek rubbing slighly against his arm.  "Hey"

"Mmm, hey," Riqimo gave a slight nod as he finished up tying the black strip of cloth and saw the weapons on the wall behind him, asking her if they were going to be repaired while he leaned back, tilting his head back

Nams went into a little Twi'lek culture that by some miracle Riq hadn't heard from her already.  "You looked very silly trying to dance," she added at the end, after a soft kiss and ruffling his hair a little.

'I know," Riq turned around to steal a little kiss before being chastised by Nams for bring in another girl to their personal night.  Shrugging, knowing that later tonight when they were alone she wouldn't mind it so much.

"How did you get those scars,"  Seeing Riq behind Nams making cutting motions across his throat, Saph tried to correct herself. "I mean..."

Namyr seemed to shrug it off, "Past times... it's over."

Riq tried to change the subject, "You two look just lovely tonight."  Both rolled their eyes and Riqimo chuckled nervously, "Well, shall we be off?  I'm a little bit hungry and could do with a nice steak or something of the sort." Opening the door and pinning the squealing cleaning droid behind it, Riq waved his hand for the two ladies to go ahead.

"Well come on, I might have something that might fit you, why Riq didn't let you go home and then come here is beyond me," Namyr said giving a toothy smile leading Saph to her bedroom, 'Shortstuff out!" Namyr demanded to a surprised Riqimo who had been dancing to some music on the radio. Saph gave a blank stare not too sure how to respond to it. Thankfully Nams shoved him out before Saph could make her own comment to boot.

Nams pulled out a blue dress and handed it to her. Sighing as she took the cloth and marveled at it's beauty."Is something wrong?" the other female asked, as if her stuff wasn't good enough for her. Saph shook her head. "No, thank you.. It's just I don't ever Dress up..Honestly I would rather be back at the compound and in a spar with Jersh.."

Her faced darkened a bit as she flushed as Nams excused herself to let her dress. Well she doesn't seem to hate me.. She thought, quickly dressing as she laid her uniform over a chair. She still felt silly, dressing up and going out on a date. One no doubt with her Squad Leader.

The thought made her almost angry, then again she couldn't really say know and perhaps maybe she will make a friend of the other female. It wasn't often one ran into another Lethan female. With a sigh Saphira left the room, not donning any of Nams jewelry. They were lovely but it wasn't her. Stepping out of the room she walked to where she could hear the pairs of voices. Her feet almost silent as she walked up on them. Silver eyes flickering over the pair as she noticed scars oh Nams back.

"How did you get those scars.." The words were out before she could think.Great Saph.. what a nice way to start the evening. Show her your mental capacity as a blunt fighter that scars interest you more She scolded herself before adding. "I mean.."

Namyr seemed to shrug it off, "Past times... it's over." Much to her own relief as she didn't want to have the night start out bad. Not that she was really comfortable anyway being as both Doc and her were a couple. She felt like she was imposing on them as her SL attempted to change the subject.

"You two look just lovely tonight." To which Saph instantly rolled her eyes in annoyance as he attempted to start playing out his charm.

"Honestly I don't want to impose on you.." She started, feeling very insecure with the whole situation and in that she started to bring out her anger in order to mask it.Why the hell did he even want me here.. Just to meet her.. sure it's a nice thought.. Thinking back to what her squad mates had said about what doc was like. "I would much rather be back on base boss, sparing with my.. squad mate.. and even less in this silly thing.." She stated dryly.

"I would much rather be back on base boss, sparing with my.. squad mate.. and even less in this silly thing.." Saph commented deprecatingly once they were outside the apartment room.

The remark made Riqimo blink a few times, "Saph, if you want to go back, that is perfectly fine. It has just been so long that Nams and I had some actual company with us."  Plus I doubt that you trust me at all, this is here to gain that trust that can mean life or death during missions...

...  ...  ...

Dinner went on rather smoothly, Riq spent most of the time nodding rather than actually in the conversation that went back and forth and when the bill came he saw Nams nod to Saph and both went off to the back.  Sighing Riq pulled out a credit chip and prepared to pay the waitress.  Nams is plotting something, I know it...  And no doubt Saph will want to join in from what I know of her...

Rising from the table when they returned, Riq brushed some imaginary crumbs of his jacket and grinned, "Thanks for keeping us company for dinner Saph, hope you enjoyed it as well."

Once outside the restaurant Nams and Saph went the opposite way that Riq had started, "Umm, girls?"

“Oh come on!” Nams came back over to Riq and pulled at his arm. “Please come with us to the disco!”

“Yeah Doc, stop being a spoil sport!” Saph joined in nagging her squad leader, and also the pulling at his arm.

“Oh alright, alright! But we’re not staying for long!” he had given in. With two Twi'lek females hanging off his arms, no sane man could possibly say no.  He just hoped the plotting didn't go much deeper than some dancing.

Nams gave him a soft kiss on the forehead, it was unexpected and made Riq let down his guard a little, he would probably regret that later though.

“Come on then!” Nams pulled away, dragging him behind her.

As the three of them walked into the disco. Riq's eyes adjusted to the dark room, and its flashing strobe lights of many colors, a smoke machine pumping out smoke giving the room ‘atmosphere’ as Nams pointed out. A disk jockey was stood behind the lights and the sound system, flipping through musicdisk cases, trying to find requests.

As Nams and Saph went to the flashing floor, Doc was left alone to his own devices. He walked around the edge of the dance floor, nodding his head to the music casually. He wasn’t interested at all. He just decided to stop and watch the people move on the floor. As he stood there, he felt a hand on his arse, giving it a light squeeze.

“Oh Nams!” He leant forward to kiss her.

“Come on spoilt sport! You’re coming to dance; I’ve requested a song, just for us!” the six foot scarlet Twi'lek whispered, holding his hand and leading him to the dance floor.

Within seconds, the DJ’s voice crackled through the sound system.

“And this one’s for the Riq'eswo, from his Namyr'eswo.”

Riqimo grinned broadly and attempted to kiss her, but she pulled away and began singing along to the song that was now playing.  He had almost forgotten about Saph, who was smiling at Nams while she came up from behind Riq.

“And this one’s for the Riq'eswo, from his Namyr'eswo.”

The voice of the dj crackled over the com. Saphira watched as Doc and Nams as the pair started to dance. Doc leaning in to steal a kiss as she dodged it to begin singing to the song. The tune in itself was one she did not recongise. Not that she spent much time listening to any.  Sighing  she sat there for a moment, confiused. Here she was watching her SL with a female that he apparently cared for  and yet it didn't add up. Giving a smile to Nams she started to approach them but thought better of it. It was their night after all.

Not from what the team has told me

Saph mused as a scruffy older looking  human male approached her. She knew exactly what he wanted from the ways his eyes were looking at her. Lust was something  that spilled over. It was hard to miss.

"May I have this dance?" He slurred, apparently slightly buzzed from whatever he had been drinking. Dressed in slighty trashy looking clothes he gave the apparence of a dung heap.

"No. I'm fine.." Her voice rough. However it didn't sway him as he pressed closer. Rolling her eyes the Twe'lik  rounded, stood from her seat  and shoved a small knife under his neck. It looked as if appaered out of thin air. However Saph took the liberty of  placing a small weapon  by her ankle before she had even left the apartments. Never one to leave  without some sort of a blade.

The music almost stopped as beings moved out of the way.  Giving him an icy glaze she could feel  Doc looking over and probably  muttering a few curse words.

"I.. uh.. Yea.." Her would be suiter  replied and quickly turned and fled. With a snort  as her gaze shifted to the on lookers the Twi'lek gave a look of challenge to see if anyone else would dare.

"Saph.. enough.." The voice of her SL creped up as she felt him close in. Her anger was already huffed from having to taken to a place where males would look at her. More that doc was probably un happy that she had just ruined their dance.

"Enough or what? Like you really cared.. dragging me out out. acting like you care about even Nams.." The words shot out before she could even think. Namyr stepped to the side as Doc set his jaw.

"What do you mean by that?" She asked, setting her stance to an annoyed position.Screw it.. I'm already in for it anyway.. SHe thought and continued.

"Let me tell you something.. Doc..is.. a... Wominizer." Perplexing her demeoner, she looked to doc with a cold stare.  "Don't you look at me like that.. just because your my SL dosen't give you the damn right to do whatever you please.." Biting her lower lip she felt the heat rise to her face. Otheres around them went back to their drinks while some stayed near to hear the conversation.

"The others told me about your little trysts on one of your previous missions before I joined  you all.. Corellia was is?" she sneered, crossing her arms. "How you took liberty of hitting on about three other femals before setteling on one.. Oh yes.. the others told me they would hear her scream your name that first night..They told me  when it wasn't one there were others.. that you can't keep to just one female..."  The distaste in her voice was full of venom. Saphira didn't care how good looking a male was.

WIth each word doc's jaw lowered. Nams eyes  grew cold as the realization sweapt over. She knew him best. Snapping her head towards him she burnt her eyes into him.

A rushing noise filled Namyr's ears as she felt her inside shatter into a million pieces as Saph indulged some stories that Namyr wished she never heard. Other women, on a mission no less, and no wonder he hadn't had the strength to sleep with him. what was she some whore that he kept around on VE's home planet for when he was home from missions? Namyr felt like a fool for falling for all of Riqimo's professions of love, how could she have let herself believe him. Let alone why did she allow herself to get attached, and now she was hurt again. Namyr vowed never to trust anyone again, and to never allow herself to fall in love ever again. The buzzing noise in her ears grew louder as Namyr's temper, anger, and pain began to surface, her fingers and hands turned into fists and without warning she swung.

She enjoyed the sight of Riqimo flying through the air, his jaw making a popping noise as she hit him, and when he finally landed and tested his jaw it popped again to Namyr's amusement. He looked at her in surprise, his blue green eyes locking with hers, but Riqimo would find nothing of Namyr he had gotten to know left in those hard, emotionless eyes.

"Get up," Namyr growled, from behind her Namyr heard Saph gasp a little as Namyr flexed her arms muscles and held them up ready for a fight. Namyr smirked, despite her lovely body, underneath the curve was hard muscle, trained to fight over many years, and Namyr knew one thing, she was damn good at what she did. Shakily, Riqimo got to his feet and opened his mouth to protest only to get another pop to the face by Namyr's left fist knocking him down again.

"How dare you," Namyr growled shoving a heel into Riqimo's chest and pressing downward, "If you, you miserable piece of slim, weren't property of the Empire I would kill you right now," she hissed her eyes burning with dangerous fury, "Did you really think that you would fool me forever, or did you think that I would except your fooling around? How many times are you going to hurt me Riqimo? Or should I stop you now from ever doing that to me again? At least with Lazarus he was truthful about his cheating, your worst then he ever could be," with that Namyr pulled her heel from Riqimo's chest and stepped over him not caring if he could look up her chest or not, "Do me a favor and don't come home, ever," she snapped not stopping or looking back at Riqimo as she left the club.

Riqimo stood wide eyed at Saph as she accused him of what seemed absolutely ridiculous to the medic.  Unfortunately, it wasn't that ridiculous to Nams...  Corellia?  When the hell did I go there?

You are screwed mate, you should punish that Saphira...

Yes...

Cupping his jaw as he stood up, it shifted back into place with a strangely satisfying 'crack' which seemed to stun Riq for a few seconds.  "Saphira..." Riq's curious eyes were no longer their usual blue-green, but now grayish and filled with a loathing, "I don't know where the hell you heard that, but  I am not going to let you..."  Riq shook his head,  he wasn't this way.  Thinking thoughts of how he would kill Saph flashed through his mind, each one more disturbing than the last.

"... I will talk to you later... head back to the apartment and change back or something.  I'll talk to you in the barracks later..."  Riq was glad to get rid of her before his hatred gained complete control and led him to kill her, or at least seriously maim.  You could kill her, minimal paperwork...  no evidence as you don't have to touch her...

Later, on his way to somewhere other than the club, Riq almost turned left down the street that would have led him to the apartment through instinct, he sighed as he caught his disheveled image in a darkly tinted transparisteel pane, his hair was way more messed up than usual.  Namyr wasn't around to smooth it out just a little bit, nor was she there to straighten his tie.

Sighing, Riq headed straight towards the base instead of the turn that would have led the apartment.  He was going to have to think out how to fix this a little more first.  He had a plan, it just required a few finer points to be worked out.  And it might work better late in the night rather than just then...

Namyr's face was oddly hot as she calmly walked down the street in the direction of her apartment, her hands were still fists as she walked.  How could he do this to her?  After everything they discussed about trust, what they shared together, just everything that had caused Namyr to fall into a comfortable pattern with Riqimo was not gone, Namyr bit her lip, glancing into a store window and looking at herself.  She quickly wiped away a smudge of eyeliner, she looked tired, but that wasn't unusual she really never slept well when Riqimo went off to wherever he went.  Though she complained of his snoring it also acted a a lulling noise that relaxed Nmyr before she fell asleep, she checked it off as another one of the many things she would miss about Riqimo.

"Namyr!" a voice shouted from behind Namyr, the tall Twi'lek turn to see Saph running towards her.  Namyr waited for the short Twi'lek, "I-I'm really sorry about that back there, but you needed to know," Saph gasped trying to get her breath back.

"It's okay, I don't blame you," Namyr said with a shrugg.

"That's a relief!" Saph said brightly, and then she sighed, "I just need to pick up my things from your apartment, you probably want to be alone after all this."

"Yes, well I have a lot of work to do," Namyr said an odd spark coming to her eyes as her and Saph entered the apartment complex and walked up the stairs to the Apartment and walked inside.  Namyr disappeared into another room and brought out an expensive looking labtop and hooked a wire up to the key slot of the door.

Namyr glanced up at Saph who was practically drooling over the computer and smirk, "Top of the line, I put it together myself," Namyr said and began to rapidly type in codes.

'What are you doing anyway?' Saph asked as Namyr scanned the code on her key into the computer and began typing again.

"Keeping cockroaches out, in other words, changing the lock," Namyr murmured hitting enter and then unplugging the wire to the door, "Goddess give me strength," Namyr then murmured the urge to cry taking over, she quickly shook it away and managed a smile, "Did you find all of your stuff?' Namyr asked.

The look in doc's eyes told Saph she was glade she still had a weapon on her. As Nams stalked off doc finally spoke.

"... I will talk to you later... head back to the apartment and change back or something. I'll talk to you in the barracks later..."

"Yes Sir!" She responded, turning on a heel and walked off. Saph knew she had done probably more damage in the last few hours then probably many had in a week.Of course the question is. More damage to me.. or them? Thinking to heself as she saw nam's in the distance. "Namyr!" She called, Nams turned to her voice."I-I'm really sorry about that back there, but you needed to know," Saph gasped trying to get her breath back from the short jog.

"It's okay, I don't blame you," Namyr said with a shrugg.

"That's a relief!" Saph said brightly, and then she sighed, "I just need to pick up my things from your apartment, you probably want to be alone after all this."

"Yes, well I have a lot of work to do," Namyr said as they entered the apartmment. Saphira meanwhile looked around the room as the other female vanished for a moment and returned with an expensive looking computer. Her eyes poped open, hands itching to play with it as Namyr smiled.

"Top of the line, I put it together myself," Namyr said and began to rapidly type in codes.

'What are you doing anyway?' Saph asked Walking over a few feet trying to lean in to see what she was up to.

"Keeping cockroaches out, in other words, changing the lock," Namyr murmured hitting enter and then unplugging the wire to the door. Saph didn't catch the rest of what she said. Only a smile drapping over her face as she quickly walked back into the room she first changed and re-dressed into her familiar clothes. Feeling much more herself she walked back out, once more in her off duty uniform of charchol greys. She must have given a look or something across her face for the other women grinned.

"You really don't like wearing dresses do you.." Nam's stated as Sah shrugged. "Comes from my childhood. My mother always insisted I be a 'proper' Twi'lek" Bitter distate in her mouth as she tightened her belt. Nams chuckled lighty. No wonder she fits in the army so well

"Well I need to be getting back. Doc I am sure is going to be waiting for me.." Her words gave a bitter whine. She wasn't looking foward to facing him. Nams blinked at her for a moment before Saphira replied. "After you left he rounded on me and ordered me to head back to the barracks to deal with me there. I just hope I don't end up on permant crap jobs or stay low rank for the rest of my days." I just hope Jersh dosen't think what I did was too stupid.. Hell he probably would anyway.

Considering on how anger nams knew he could get she walked from where she was at. "Hold on.." Diseapearing into a corner room saph only waited for a momennt before she returned and pressed something into her hand.

"Just in case..I know how he can be. you have only what you've been told." Saph opened her hand and looked down. A grin spreading across her face as she pocketed it.

"Well, mabey this will work out better then we thought.." Saph responded. Nams tilted her head with a questionable look as she proceded to explain.....

Jersh had the front entrence watch that evening. Grumbeling on the bordem when he noticed doc storming up. Uh-oh.. this can't be good

"Has Saphira checked back in yet?" His voice almost shaking with anger. Jersh noted the swelling on his face and opened his eyes.

"No sir.. hey.. doc.. What ha-"

"Never mind.. As soon as she gets in tell her to report to my office on the double.." With that he stormed inside. Jersh could only imagine what she could have gotten herself into. It wasn't that far after that Saphira walked up. He noticed she gave the walk of one bent on being stubborn and knew they were in for it.

Saphira saw that jersh was indeed on the night watch. Walking up to him she lowered her eyes as she saw the look on his face. Looks like doc is already back. hmm.. I wonder how his swelling is She thought with a mental smile.

"Uh. Saph.. What did you do?" Jersh gave a grim look.I swear to god if he touched her..

"Nothing.. Not at all." She lied. Jersh sighed knowing that she was part of something.

"Dang Saph, we already got in trouble earlier. Now you've gone and done something else.." Saph only crossed her arms and gave a blank look. Either way she wasn't goign to tell her. Jersh made a mental note to make her spill later. "Either way.. Doc said to report to him in the office pronto."

"I figured he would say that.." Taking a few steps past him. "Jer.."

"Yea.."

"You going to be out here all night right?" She asked, taking a hand to lay gently on his arm. Jersh coudln't help but smile.

"Yea.. why?" Raising an eyebrow.

"Good.." With that she left him with a dumbfounded expression as to what she had ment by that.

Heading down the hall her boots tapped lighty. Making the few turns that would lead her to once more her Squad leaders office.

Jersh glanced from his seat in the lounge at the opening barracks door.  Grinding his teeth, Riqimo asked, "Has Saphira checked back in yet?"

When his trooper replied in the negative and started to ask what happened, Riq waved him off, "..tell her to report to my office on the double."

Riqimo flicked on the lights as he entered his office and started to look for the duty uniform he kept around somewhere in case he may have needed to change into one quickly and couldn't .  This wasn't exactly the kind of event he imagined needing it, but it he didn't really have the thought pass his mind right then.  Just as he had taken his dress shirt off, Saph  creaked open the door.

"No, come back here," he half-shouted as she started to go back out.  "I want to have a damn talk and I don't care if you have something else that needs to be done."  He stopped when he saw Saph starring at his upper chest, two reopened scars appearing freshly scabbed.  And now that he was not wearing long sleeves, the long red marks of dried blood that ran along the entire length of his arms were visible.  Riq quickly grabbed the shirt to his black uniform and started to quickly fasten the silver buttons.  "Firstly," his voice was slightly lower now, but still carried a sharp edge to the tone, "Who told you whatever that was about Corellia?"

Not receiving a response, Riqimo almost was tempted to rip open the twice locked drawer to his desk and pull out his most secretive possession...  Pushing that thought of his darker side away, Riq clenched his fists a little harder in frustration, "If you refuse to tell me, fine.  Probably better that way, else I will kill the blasted sun of a gun.  All I need to do is assure you that it is a damn lie."

Riq half fell into his chair as he moved it into position to power up his computer console, "I am going to pull up my ENTIRE Vast Empire enlistment history.  Every damn location I was deployed to, even the ones you do not have the security clearance to know."  As his fingers pranced across the keys he finally opened the necessary file, "There, take a look."

VEA - Tormar - 2 year required deployment
STC - Tormar, Illium, Aquilaris, Mrlsst, Cepany, Lotiath, Abregado-rae

"It says Corellia right here," Saph pointed down near the bottom of the screen.  Leaning forward to see where she was pointing, Riq let out what may have been a chuckle or a snort.  "Ya, I certainly went there when I was just placed into Eclipse Squad.  No gals in a simulation though.  If you will see the heading it is under, you are looking at the simulations I have gone through."

Powering down the console, Riqimo rose from his government issue chair and rolled his shoulders to relieve some tension.  "Okay, stay in the barracks please, I am going to be back fairly soon I hope... If there are any other accusations against me you were told, please be prepared to recite them when I arrive."

As he left the office, he saw Jersh playing around with the holopool set that was dead center in the lounge.  Nodding to the trooper in acknowledgement rather than a friendly gesture, Riqimo placed his hat on his head and headed for the turbo-lift.  He'd be at Nams' place within 30 minutes.  Well... not Nams' place per se, considering his paycheck was larger and he covered the costs.  Trivial matter, nothing that should cause an issue, he was going to straightened this out tonight.

Namyr's slim hands passed over the box that she had kept hidden in the back of her closet for the last couple of months. In truth she had been happy with her force pikes on missions, but they were lighter then her blades and Namyr felt out of place without her blades hitting her thigh in missions. Slowly she opened the top of the box and removed the paper from within and pulled out two, orange hilted blades that gleamed in the low lighting of the bedroom. A warm smile appeared on Namyr face as she touched the sharpened end of the blade and drew a little blood, she had made these blades herself after finding a lone old Twi'lek with a blade shop.

Namyr carried the blades to the Shrine and held them in front of a large tribute to the mother goddess, asking for blessings on her new blades and protection. Stepping back from the shrine, Namyr bowed once and placed the blades at the foot of the shrine for a night's blessing on them and turned heading back to the bedroom. A hot bath was what she needed as she lowered herself into the hot water, reaching out with a moist hand she turned on the cd player that began to play classical Twi'lek music. Namyr let herself relax in the water, her thoughts wandering from one to the other.

She would have to leave the apartment, there was no way she could afford it on her own, Riqimo had insisted on getting this apartment due to the extra room for Namyr's shrine. She had felt guilty about his spending the rent money out of his paycheck, but he had been stubborn about the subject wanting her to have whatever made her happy. He was so kind to her Namyr never understood why he was but she enjoyed it. She was sure she could put her stuff into storage move into the barracks and that would solve her apartment woes. A sob surfaced over Namyr's thoughts and over the music, reaching up to her cheek Namyr was surprised to find tears flowing down her cheeks. Now that she was alone she could cry. The hot steam of the bath slowly soothed her out of her tears and Namyr relaxed again. She was a solider and she could handle this, it was minimum compared to most of the missions she had been on.

"Okay, stay in the barracks please, I am going to be back fairly soon I hope... If there are any other accusations against me you were told, please be prepared to recite them when I arrive."

She listened half wanting to roll her eyes as he left the room. Crossing her arms Saph turned to face the door. Well that was sort of an order right? Thinking to herself, wondering just what doc had planned. A small beeping sound then resounded from her comlink. Checking the channel she recognised it was Nams.

"You alright Nams?" Her voice came, rolling her left shoulder as she paced the room.

"I'm..alright.. Is doc there?" Her voice, strong but with the sadness that saph could sense.

"Negative.. He just left.. on his way back to you.." She paused for a moment. "He showed me his past orders and there was no mention of corellia." Another long pause before the comlink crackled for a moment.

"He could have fixed it..." Nams replied. Knowing when he wanted the man could have anything erased or added. "Saph.. I know he said to stay.. but I'd rather not be alone..." Her voice faded as Saph bit her lower lip.

"Hell, they weren't direct orders anyway.. " Confirming that she was indeed not going to listen to doc.Not that it matters what I do now anyway. Besides this isn't a mission Clipping the com back to her utility belt Saphira left the confines of the room and snuck out the back way. "Brrowering" A speeder as to beat doc before he would arrive.

Racing up the turbo lift Saph hurried to the apartment and rapped her knuckles a few times against it. The door slid open as Namyr pulled her inside quickly and locked it.

"Well.. at least I beat him.." She breathed, having to run from the lot to the lift. Nams gave a small smile.

When the turbolift opened to the floor, Riq stood still for a moment, staring down the hallway out the window where two birds were nested together on the ledge.  He sighed and pushed the button to prevent the doors from closing and stepped out of the lift onto the heavily stained carpet of the halls.  Turning left immediately, he whispered the room numbers out loud until he came to 2345 at the end of the hall.  Brushing his hair back from his hairline, a habit he had just recently acquired from all the stress,  Riqimo inserted his card and just went 'meh' as the card was refused entry.  He wasn't surprised, as Nams had done that before as a prank, this time thought she wasn't just going to fix it for him.

Break down the door?

Umm... break down the door to my own apartment?  That doesn't make sense.

Well, how else are you getting in?  Not like you have a back door on the twenty third floor.

Or do I...

Riq smirked as he headed back towards the turbolift, but instead of turning left into it, he went right down the other hallway. At the end he peered down out the window at the streets below, mostly empty this time of night.  Making sure to mind the birds just outside, Riq slid the pane of transparisteel to the side and peeked out to the left.  The ledge went around the building with about a foot's worth of duracrete for Riq to keep his balance on.  Taking a deep breath, the squad leader carefully stepped out, thankful that the wind wasn't blowing that night.

Hugging the wall as he inched along, Riq finally made it to the apartment he supposedly owned.  Peeking in the first pane, he saw nothing but a dark room.  Sighing, he inched along a little more and peeked into the next room, which was the living room.  He had almost stumbled back in surprise at what he saw.  Namyr and... Saph were sitting on the couch facing away from him watching some sort of holovid together.  Riq blinked and strained his eyes to see if Nams actually had anyone else in there.  He couldn't spot anything, save the cleaning droid moving across the floor.  For some reason Riq was more interested in seeing where the cleaning droid was wandering over too with that particularly large cloth.  Blinking as he saw it wipe off some wax that dripped onto the floor, Riq leaned closer to the window and saw a flicker of light off a metal blade.  New swords... perfect... let's humor her then.

Riq inched back along the ledge and a let a small half frown form on his face at the two birds.  He would fix this tonight, or die trying.  Unfortunately the odds were on the side of the later.

Namyr after her bath, had just gotten dressed and thrown on a robe as her doorbell went off. She smiled as she opened the door and found Saph there, after a few formal greetings then two Twi'leks were silent. Namyr wasn't going to start a conversation, due to recent events she felt like just having company but not talking. An hour later both her and Saph were watching some movie on the female channel when Namyr had the oddest feeling that someone was watching them, she turned her head and saw no one was at the window. But the apartment was on the 20th floor someone would have to be insane to try to peek in the window.

Insane, Namyr blinked a few times, "Saph do you mind ordering a pizza, I'm going to the balcony in the bedroom for a moment," Namyr said Saph looked puzzled but nodded as Namyr stood up and walked to the bedroom, grabbing her blades as she passed the shrine. She threw open the doors to the balcony and stepped out, shivering a little at the cooling evening air. She stared out over the light of the city, letting out a sigh, "Most people wouldn't be stupid enough to climb on the outside of the building to try to get back into an apartment. Most people would just knock down the door," Namyr said her voice dark and voidless of humour as her yellow eyes glanced at the small figure of Riqimo who was still crouched next to the window that two birds were nestled together. A slight wind tossed her Leeku around and Namyr used her free hand to pull the top of her robe over the top of her chest that was peeking over her nightie.

"Care to explain yourself?" she then asked her hand tightening over the blade.

"Saph do you mind ordering a pizza, I'm going to the balcony in the bedroom for a moment," Namyr said Saph looked puzzled but nodded as the other female disepeared.

Finding the Com system the Twi'lek  called the nearest local dilevery. A mechinacll voice came threw in an annoying tone.Wonderfull She thought.

"Can I take your order?" After about five minutes of rambeling off specials that didn't even sound decently good. Rolling her eyes  Saph snapped back at it.

"Yea, One large supreme pizza." Her voice agervated as the droid repeated her order and finially gave the bill.

"Who's this to be charged to? I see  that we have a file on recod for a Riq...." Static came threw as the female sighed. A smile creasing across her face.Well, doc gets more credits then we do.. Saying to herself as the bill was charged to doc.

With that out of the way Saph walked back tot he movie and sat there. Wondering what nams was doing but thought best to leave her be for a bit. The movie was just about to it's highlighted conclusion when a rap came tot he door. Standing  she walked over, checked to make sure it was the pizza deleverly and opened the door.

The fresh smell of food wafered to her nose as she walked back towards the kitchen. What could she be doing? Something told her to go check on her. Carrying the hot box of food she found her way to the bedroom and balcony where she noticed Nams holding two very sharp blades.uh-oh SHe thought, cracking her neck as she came up behind and noticed doc sitting on the edge of the balcony.

"Looks like we had a peeping tom Saph.." Namyr growled. Doc looked over at Saph as she shrugged.

"I told you to stay at the barracks.." He snapped, standing as Nams  brought her weapons threatengly towards him. Doc stoppd and sat back down.

"You said please.. and it wasn't really a direct order. Besides this isn't a mission.. I don't have to regard it.. " Saphira replied

" I could have knocked you off the ledge.. your in no position to say anything.."Namyr snapped to doc.

"Hey, now.. whatever Spah was told was  a -" He began and quickly stopped when the female moved exceadily fast and brought a blade to the tip of his throat.

"Nams, hold off.. theres no need  for viloence.." Taking a step foward as the Twi'lek pulled back. "We can be civel... I have a nice hot pizza here we all can enjoy.. Doc looks kinda hungry.." Taking her hand and openeing the steaming box. Namyr snapped her head over to her with an amused look in her eye. "I think he needs this more then us.." Without another word she tipped the box, strod foward the rest of the way and smalled the hot pizza into his face. Just think on what the desert will entail

Riq stood with a slightly amused expression as Nams twisted the pizza into his face, it might not be a pleasant experience, but it gave a slight advantage he needed.  Pretending to recoil back slightly, he suddenly span to his left and  grasped one of the swords that Nams was holding in her left hand while she used the right to try and stuff the whole pizza into his mouth.

Shaking some of the sauce and cheese out of his hair, Riqimo took a defensive pose and grinned mischievously, "I would think you be a little more on your guard with me around."

Waving the blade back and forth slightly, Riq got a general feel for the weight of the blade, and pranced aside as Nams made a hasty attack in rage of being slighted out of one of her prized blades.  She quickly regained her temperament though, and started to circle with Riq.

"You can't win Riq," Namyr snapped at him with the blade and added a sharp, "Eswa" to his name as she pulled back into a defensive position, expecting an attack from Riqimo that didn't come.

Keeping himself focused on his defensive stance, Riq smirked as he slowly moved back to where he wanted to be positioned, "What is wrong freykaa?"  He took precise deliberation to emphasize the words that would drive Nams only harder.

Nams now had Riqimo against a wall and he just smirked all the more, "Rather surprised at my Jela skills,  Namyr'eswo?"

She gave a light growl and while she had his blade pushed back, her knee jerked towards Riq's groin and make a rather loud thud as Riq pushed her blade back with his own, "Namyr'eswo I learn fast, you think I wouldn't come prepared for that?"  He broke his defensive post and tossed his blade towards Saph, "I think I need to be a little Komad to get my point across here..."

Within a second after his blade was out of his possession, Riqimo found himself against the wall, blade pointed directly at his throat.  His smile wasn't as broad now, but he raised one eyebrow amusedly, "Koa."

He raised his left hand slowly and not to cause Nams to make a sudden move and placed it on top of the blade, which just happened to the sharp side.  "You cannot kill me that way."  Pushing downward on the blade, Riq drew a steady stream of blood but his gaze straight at Nams did not waiver, even with the strand of cheese that ran over his left eyebrow and down the arch of his nose.  When he had finished lowering the blade to directly over his heart, he murmured, "Pika."

Namyr's hand began shaking, the sword tip that was being held over Riqimo's chest quivered, she was weak and she knew it. She watched the blood drip down Riqimo's neck and stain his uniform, Namyr's bottom lip began shaking at much as the sword tip. Then the sword clattered to the ground and gently Namyr removed the cheese from Riqimo's face, her own face unreadable as she did so. "You're insane," she managed to say through a shakey voice before she picked up her blades, spun around and walked back into the apartment.

"Well are you two coming in or are you going to stay out there all night," Namyr called gruffly over her shoulder as she cleaned the blades and set them in front of the shrine, 'Saph could you please give Riq and I a moment alone," she added as she turned to see Riqimo standing at the door of the Shrine looking at her.

"Yeah, sure!" Saph called from the living room. Riqimo stepped into the room, shutting the door behind him, he walked up to Namyr only to get a painful slap to his swollen jaw.

"Is this how you always try to win back someone, or how you prove that you haven't done something?' Namyr hissed angerly preparing to slap Riqimo again only to have him grab her arm and pull her towards him, his other arm wrapping around her waist.

"Let me go," Namyr said weakly trying to avoid Riqimo's eyes.

Riqimo massaged the inside of his swollen cheek with his tongue as he grabbed Nams' hand and in the same fluid motion pull her in to wrap his hand around her waist.  She tried to look away, but she kept becoming enchanted by Riq's eyes.

"Let me go," she closed her eyes for a moment and murmured.

"Now, now, you almost kill me and you want me to just let you go?" Riq grinned one of the few smiles she had seen out of him those past few weeks.

Nams was unable to focus her eyes anywhere and was forced to settle on Riq's pools of blue-green irises.  "Riq... What can I believe?  You have pushed me aside for weeks..."

Riq sighed as he knew where this was going, "Nams, I... guess I should explain," Riq's heart sank deep into his stomach as he muttered the last few words, "I was recalled to Lotiath as you were aware... that is the reason..."

"Riq... I don't want to know about her." Nams started to cry a little and the top of Riq's head was getting a little damp.

"Koa, not what you think Nams, I was called there for some... training that I shouldn't tell you about..."  He took a deep breath and gathered all his courage to utter a lie, "I underwent intensive counter torture training... incase I would ever be caught and recognized as a high ranking Imperial by any enemy..."

"How... intensive?"  Nams had pulled he head off of Riqimo's and was now staring concerningly at the man.

Riq exhaled and continued, it was too late to stop now, "I... received several injuries... some of which I was ashamed to bare... The only one I could not truly hide were my  reopened scars...  I am much... better now, even if still scratched up."

"Riq..." Nams held back a sob, "How can I believe you?"

"Namyr'eswo... look into my eyes... only you can answer that..."

Namyr looked into Riqimo's eyes for a very long time, she wanted to see if he was telling the truth, anything to tell her what she thought wasn't true, she just wanted Riqimo to be his old self, for them to be their old selves. A slight flicker in Riqimo's eyes told it all, he wasn't telling the truth, at least the complete truth to her. Namyr took a long breath inward tasting the air around them. There was her usual scent of citrus and cinnamon, but the scent coming from Riqimo made Namyr's nose wrinkle. A wet, sour, death-like smell hung around him, just barely she could taste the sharp mint scent he gave off when he was tired. No, she could tell he wasn't her Riqimo whatever happen on Lotiath, it was as if now he was fighting several voices in his head everytime he spoke to her, and Namyr was afraid one of the voices was evil and one day would win against Riqimo and most likely kill her.

"You're still lying, only telling half truths, and I should feel like I'm afraid of you Riq'eswo," Namyr whispered turning away from Riqimo and holding herself with her arms, Riqimo went to reach out to her, "please don't touch me," Namyr said, her voice wasn't cold but just sad and what she was going to do.

"By right this apartment belongs to you, if you'd give me enough time to get my things I will move back to the barracks. I know it's not fair to leave you alone to battle your demons, but you scare me Riqimo Pershaw, and I don't know what else to do,' Namyr said letting out a rare sob before turning and looking at Riqimo, failing to smile and then brushing past him walking to the bedroom and grabbing a few bags.

"Saph could you help me pack my things?" Nayr called out to the living room.

"Yeah, sure thing," Saph replied coming into the bedroom, grabbing a bag and beginning to clean out the closet.

"Nams, please don't," Riqimo asked from the doorway.

"I have to Riqimo," Namyr replied dumping her jewelry into the bag.

'You don't have to leave, we can fix this together," Riqimo continued stepping up behind Namyr and wrapping her arms around her, almost begging her not to go.

Namyr froze for a minute, her hand resting on Riqimo's arm that was around her waist, she closed her eyes, letting out a soft relaxed sigh, "I-I can't Riq-eswo, and you only know why."

"You can't leave," Riqimo begged, then his arms tightened painfully around Namyr's waist, then his voice changed, "You're mine, and you know it," Namyr was knocked onto the bed and before she knew it her hands were pinned together by Riqimo. But she knew it wasn't him, his eyes were malice and angry not him.

'Let me go,' Namyr growled darkly.

"Fat chance, I'm not letting you go," Namyr realized that this side of Riq reminded her of the Space Wraith that they had encountered. Then when Riqimo had hurt her during their last arc mission, it all made sense to Namyr.

"Let him go," Namyr growled struggling to get her hands free.

"Let him go," Namyr shouted at Riq while struggling vigorously.  There was a faint impact and then everything went black...

...  ...  ...

God damn it... my life was perfect. I had the perfect gal; Namyr was my reason for living... Then YOU came along... She had the voice that would light up a room and a smile that always seemed to make me melt no matter how I was feeling for her at the moment it all just seemed to melt away. But now everything has changed because of YOU...

Your attachment will kill you Pershaw.  Sure the fun stuff you can keep, but to actually connect will kill you.  What if she plunged that blade into your heart earlier?

It was trust, something you could never understand.  No... it was deeper than that, deeper than any blade could cut.

Can't you see, Pershaw?  You are doing it now.  We are forced to argue within this darkness because of something that she did.  She knocked you out cold.  Now doubt you are just left in the room as she runs away, hell she could report you for rape, Pershaw.

No, she knocked out YOU!

Something bright seemed to flicker but Riq was completely staring at darkness again.  He could have sworn it was a minute, maybe five, hell he could have even out all night...  Eventually he opened his eyes to two Twi'leks starting over his, one holding a blade to his throat.  "I thought you said that you were gonna leave me?"  Riq chuckled nervously

Nams looked at Saph and slowly pulled the blade away, "That's the real Riq, so far."

"Oh my head..." Riq rubbed his eyes with the balls of his palm, "What the hell happened...  and why is my hair all powdery?"

Saph held up part of a ceramic Twi'leki vase, "It was a fake anyways, and I had to get you off of Namyr."

"Sorry Riq-eswo, but you, well not you you, nearly had your hands around my neck," Namyr said tilting her head off to see the dark scratches under her neck.  Then almost lovingly she brushed the white vase particles out of Riqimo's hair, that is until she threw her arms around his neck and kissed him,  "Riq'eswo why didn't you tell me that wraith was still in you, is that where you been going to try and get it out?' Namyr murmured and smiled brightly past her worried look as she looked into Riqimo's eyes.

"close enough," Riqimo said almost beaming at Namyr his hand reaching out and entwining in hers.

"You're filthy by the way," Namyr added with a smirk before Saph cleared her throat and her and Riqimo looked at the other Twi'lek.

"Well if that bout of crazy is over, I'm heading out for the night," Saph said pointing towards the door.

'Oh, um, yeah, go on Saph, everything is covered here," Namyr said her cheeks turning a little dark red.

"Yes, thanks for the help, see you in the morning," Riqimo added with a small wave with his free hand.  Saph waved back and left the apartment shaking her head at what had just happened.

A short shared shower later, Namyr clucked and looked over the wounds on Riqimo's body, mothering him like she should have when he first returned with the wounds.

"Come on Nam'eswo, I'm fine," Riqimo chuckled, as Namyr touched his side looking at another scabbed over wound.

"Let me baby you a little, I am your Nonna I get that special privilage," Namyr chuckled and smiled widely as they both laid down on the bed and looked at one another.

"Thank you Nam'eswo," Riqimo murmured reaching out and touching the side of her face, and finally he himself smiled as well.  Suddenly he sat up on one elbow and looked at Namyr, studying her for a moment, and smirk broke out on his face and he ahd the expression that he had just looked at her for the first time in a very long time.  He leaned forward, lips pressed against Namyr's as his arm wrapped snuggly around her waist as Namyr's arms wrapped around his neck.

It wasn't a surprise that Riqimo was whistling as he walked into work that next morning.  In fact he had pretty much been grinning and whistling since he woke up, leaving the sleeping Namyr to her day off.  Nothing could throw him off, he could just feel that it was going to be a good day as he walked into his office and began to shuffle through some paperwork, until there was a knock at the door.

"Come in," Riqimo called out and Saph entered the room wearing her gym gear, it was tight to her curvious body, Saph raised an eyebrow as Riqimo grimaced at what looked like something in his mind before looking at her again, 'What going on?"

"Nothing, I sort of, accidentally, broke a guy's arm during training, and they sent me to you to be punished," Saph said sounding annoyed.

'Perfect..the newest member and already she's scoring more hits on her record then I managed when I was in her shoes.' He thought, starign at her for a moment more.

"What doc?" It really was an accident. Bone snapped only in one place.." Rolling her eyes as doc wondered what he was going to do.

"Only one place?!" He finialy spoke, clearing his throat.

"Yea. If I had ment to do it the guy would have had the thing shattered.." A smile creasign on her lips as she cocked her head to the left.

Standing, doc came around the desk, his eyes not leaving her as he placed his palms on the back of the desk and leaned into it. "If it was an accident then you wouldn't be in my office Saphira." Narrowing his eyes as he looked for her to give any indication that she cared. He wasn't suprised when she started blankly back at him.WHy am I not suprised. I really should go threw her Academy records more and see what damages she managed there. Hell, I even wonder why they didn't fail her right out' Bringing one hand up he rubbed his jaw.

"Well obviously EMI isn't teaching you anything." He beagan as Saphira twitched her lower lip from going into a grin. Crossing her arms over her chest in amusement.

"Well obviously EMI isn't teaching you anything." Riq sighed, ignoring the defiant posture that Saph had just assumed.  "This needs to stop, and I am starting to run out of things to punish you with..."  That we are allowed to do... publicly of course, hehehe  Riq shook his head in the negative to push out that headache that was just starting to form.  "Saph, if you don't shape up soon and save it for the enemy, I am afraid that more drastic actions will have to be taken."

Saphira kept her silent, defiant composure, but her lekku gave a slight movement that made Riq smirk, "Don't want to get into too deep trouble, despite your troublesome nature, eh?"

Riqimo loved the lekku for more than just some private reasons, the fact that they sometimes revealed hidden emotions proved especially useful to those that bothered to learn a bit.  Riq certainly had, much thanks to Nams of course.  He really didn't expect the language to actually be of use beyond their relationship, but he didn't mind being proven wrong sometimes.  Sometimes.

Saph didn't say anything, and Riq could tell that the Twi'lek was just beginning to concentrate on controlling her lekku's subtle movements.  "What kind of 'drastic' actions?" her voice, almost musical like most female Twi'leks, finally asked.

Riq shrugged, "I haven't gone down the list as I never had to do them before.  But apparently I would have to supervise you for them.  And you do not want that I assume?  I certainly have better things to do than baby-sit misbehaving troopers, so don't think I won't enjoy it myself.  But if I have to, I will hand out the punishment."

Saph nodded, still remaining silent, and this time her lekku carefully controlled to prevent the showing of an unwanted emotion.

"Understood?" Doc questioned.

"Yes, sir," Saph replied, "So I assume I have a warning this time?"

"Nope, you still get punished." Riq glanced at his console,  "There is an opening tomorrow night where they need somebody to do some errand stuff, package running and whatever.  Enjoy."

Yes, sir," Saph replied, "So I assume I have a warning this time?"

"Nope, you still get punished." Riq glanced at his console, "There is an opening tomorrow night where they need somebody to do some errand stuff, package running and whatever. Enjoy."

Saph rolled her eyes, still in her defiant position. "Pffft.. sure whatever.." Loosing her composure. It was obvious she wasn't taking him that seriously. "I doubt whatever you could dish out is nothing. Supervise me.. I'd make your life hell.."

Her Lekku twitched again. Saph didn't miss his eyes going from it and then back.Just because you can read Nams really well doesn't mean you can to me little man.. She thought to herself. Whether the twitch was in amusement or not was something she wasn't about to say. In fact she was rather enjoying the challenge of mocking her Squade leader.

"Excuse me Corporal?" Riq raised an eye at her. Just what I need. He thought for a moment. Saphira snorted in amusement.

"I know you heard me right Sir.." She closed her eyes for a moment as if thinking of something else to say. She's digging her grave deeper. If she wasn't so good at her job I'd kill her. Doc thought to himself. The temptation to just do that was very high. However he needed to do something about it. It could be worse. She could be trying to seduce you with her charm.. if there's any in that stone heart of hers Doc thought to himself. There could be worse things she could be doing. However, breaking an arm even in training. Doc wasn't stupid. Saph probably enjoyed the whole thing. Just as she was doing so now.

"It's not like your a Dark Jedi and can easily frighten me. You've looked at my records.." Her voice broke into his thoughts.

"It's not like your a Dark Jedi and can easily frighten me. You've looked at my records..."

If you only knew my dear, hahaha...

Quite ironic I admit...

Perhaps we should show her... then kill her..

Wha...?

She shouldn't be disrespecting command like this.  And she can be easily replaced...

But... she does her job...

Transfer Namyr into the slot Pershw...

Riq's mind fluttered a moment. Yes... that would be perfect

See?  I can be reasonable, Pershaw.  You just need to give me a chance.

Child, think about what just happened yesterday

Wait.. no I cannot do that, Nams might suspect something, I can't risk losing her again...

You can claim me if she approaches you about it.  You can get off with about anything cause of me

Child, that does not make it right...

Shut up woman, he can do whatever he wants.

Think about this child, could you kill a friend of Namyr?

No... no... I cannot...

Riqimo stared straight at Saph, his mind trying to settle on a form of punishment that would fit the situation, and would be... appropriate.  "Saphira..." Riq shook his head trying to dislodge the voices that were in his head.  He blink suddenly and smirked evilly, "You have no idea what hell is.  And tonight you will gain full knowledge after duty ends."

Saph blinked once at the sudden change in her squad leader, trying to interpret his words, "Do I report here?"

"Yes... here, I will then take you to the... punishing site..." Riqimo smirked, his eyes appearing a cold, dull gray.

Saph's mind raced with what her Squad Leader could mean, of course she wasn't afraid, she had worse... at least that is what she told herself.  Her leader could be capable of more than she gave him credit for...

Warmth, something that Namyr had forgotten was one of the most wonderful feelings she had ever experienced.  A pair of strong arms were draped loosely around her, reminding her of the night before.  Namyr smirked happily and let out a sigh as the steady snoring of Riqimo lulled her back into a half-sleep.  It had been a very long time that the both of them had slept so deeply and Namyr leaned her head forward resting her head on Riqimo’s chest, and in his sleep he tightened his arms around her.  Namyr smiled a little before drifting off back into sleep only to waken a little while later to Riqimo climbing out of bed.  The sound of the shower, the brushing of teeth, and his humming made Namyr smile even more and burrow deeper into the still warm blanket.  Expensive gifts from Riqimo, but it was one of the only times she hadn’t acted insulted on him buying her a pricey gift.  In fact she loved the blanket and sheet set enough to want to stay in bed, and it was a day off for her, unless you considered being on call in case of an emergency, but that wouldn’t happen.  A pair of soft,  smooth lips pressed against her forehead, a hand moved and pulled one of her Lekku from her face.  Another hand brought up Namyr’s chin just slightly and the lips pressed against her own lips.  Then they were gone and there was the slamming of the front door as Riqimo left for work.  Namyr nestled down deeper into the blanket and drifted back to sleep.

To dream was something Namyr hardly ever did, she had the occasional nightmare about space travel, or showing up to a dress ball event naked, the usually insecurities and fears that other people suffered from as well.  Though this dream was strange, until Namyr realized it was a memory when she was an early teen, a memory she had hidden away in the depths of her mind to help her forget.  But that boy she had head butted to escape, he had seemed so familiar, those blue green eyes, and then she was spiraling through Ryloth’s atmosphere, slamming into the day side of the planet.  Namyr sat up in bed breathing hard, sweat trickled down her back and her breathing was haggard and shallow.  Everything seemed to make sense, why her fear of space travel had crept up on her, why she was so comfortable with her relationship with Riqimo.  Namyr glanced at the clock, eleven o’clock, almost lunch time, good she needed to talk to Riqimo, she needed to find out something important.

She climbed out of bed, and after a quick shower, and hastily throwing on a white tank top and a black pleated skirt, she was out the door and on her way to the VE command.  She hugged herself against the chilly wind that was blowing around the city that day.  What if her dream had been true, did that mean that Riqimo had once helped smuggle slaves out of Ryloth.  Namyr bit her lip, ducking into Riqimo’s favorite Deli and picking him up some lunch.  Anything was possible, both of them had been slightly vague when telling one another about their pasts, and now he had even more secrets Namyr wondered how much he had kept from here.  Had he, like may other smugglers taken advantage of their cargo?  A chained Twi’lek half starved and broken was an easy target.  Namyr’s fingers gripped the bag in her hand as she stepped into the elevator that would take her up to the floor Riqimo’s office was in.

“You’re dismissed Saphira,” Riqimo spoke picking up some paperwork and not watching her leave, or seeing that Saphira flicked him off before she left the room, leaving the door open just a little bit.  Riqimo only looked up at the door as there was a giggle and a knock on the door, raising an eyebrow he walked over to the door opening it and a bucket of water cascaded down onto him, the bucket painfully hitting his shoulder as a few member of the ARC and of Squad Eclipse stood at the end of the hall, looking around the corner and laughing.  Riqimo saw that among the people laughing was Saph, his eyes narrowed.

“You’ve been tricked all along, they had planned this all along to make you feel like a fool,” a voice echoed in Riqimo’s head, “they should be punished.”

Yes, yes they should be punished, he was high ranking and they were treating him like a recruit, he would make them pay.  Riqimo pointed at the soliders that had stopped laughing and were looking at him strangely, “You all stay right there,” Riqimo yelled down the hall and started running towards them.

“Scatter!” Saph yelled and the group spilt up and took off in different directions.  Saph ran past Namyr who looked at her with questions in her eyes.  Namyr turned to see Riqimo rounding corner, slipping a little due to the water dripping off of him.  This had to be the strangest floor in the entire building, last week they had been chucking water balloons out the window.

‘Look there’s your, ‘Pika,’ the voice chuckled, “Though after last night I can understand why you keep her around, even I enjoyed the show.”

“Shut up, don’t talk about her like that,” Riqimo thought viciously.

“Why not, I was there watching, doing the same thing you were,” the voice laugh then let out a low hum, “Though I admit despite her weaknesses, I find your very alluring in that skirt and white shirt, in fact watch a learn how to make a woman swoon and to get some eye candy while you’re at it,” the voice said as Riqimo ran up to Namyr.

“Riq’eswo what’s going on?” Namyr asked looking puzzled before Riqimo’s hand was on the back of her head leaning her down.  His wet clothing was against her skin causing her to shiver, his hand wrapped tightly around her waist as he spun her around and kissed her lips leaving her breathless before he spun out of the turn and kept running.

“Just wait in my office to dry,” Riqimo called over his shoulder, smirking as his eyes wandered up and down her body.  Namyr stood there stunned for a few seconds before looking down at her soaked shirt to see her red skin showing through.  Her cheeks turned dark red and she hastily made her way to the office.

A few members of the ARC and of Squad Eclipse stood at the end of the hall, looking around the corner and laughing.  Riqimo saw that among the people laughing was Saph, his eyes narrowed.

“You all stay right there,” Riqimo yelled

“Scatter!” Saph yelled and the group spilt up and took off in different directions.  Saph ran past Namyr who looked at her with questions in her eyes. She didn't stay to explain as she looked over her shoulder to see doc comming after her.Of course he'd come after me.. I'm his 'problem child'

Saph didn't look back again to know he was behind her. Grinding her teeth she slid up to a door leading to the hanger bay. Thinking that she could hide in there. With all those crafts.. he'd spend all day looking for me.. She thought. Punching the door codes and slipping in.

Riq watched the female slip into the room. His lip twitched in annoyance. Saph is causing more trouble then any new recruit I had even had. He thought, slowing his pace down as he approached the hanger.

'Let me deal with her' The voice piped up again. Doc shook his head.

"No.. I  can handle this." Riq replied, entering the key codes.

'Why not? It's been far too long sense I have found a worthy opponent.. '

Riq froze. "No.. I will not let you. Saphira is one of my soldiers.."

'Who needs to be diciplined and trained. Do you not remember back in your apartment. She took a Vase to your head.. Whats to stop her from doing anything else?'

Riq thought back to that. His head hurt for quit a while after that little incident.

"You're right.." He whispered. The voice laughed and took a hold of him.

'I promise you won't remember this..'

The door opened.....

Saphira was in the far back of the room. Pinned between a Speeder and BARC craft. Her breathing slowed as she saw the light from the door open. The outline fame body of her Squad Leader stepped inside.  For a moment she saw the head look left and right before the door closed swallowing them in darkness.

"I know you're in here Saphira.."

The light tapping of his boots echoed in the room. Saph didn't move from her spot. Biting her lower lip she waited for him to hopefully give  up.You may know Im here.. but you won't find me. She thought. She didn't understand why he thought of  what happened a big deal. It was only a joke.

"You're right.." Riqimo whispered. He closed his eyes, praying that he would regret doing this...

I promise you won't remember this.. the voice muttered as Riq slipped away to the back of his own mind, half willingly...

Riq blinked his eyes, getting used to the change for a moment then opening the door to cast a small arc of light into the room.  He smiled wickedly, as he scanned the room.  He made himself a little challenge by closing the door behind him, engulfing the room back into total darkness and whispering, "I know you're in here Saphira..."

Striding to his left side, Riqimo waited for his eyes to adjust... he had just bumped slightly into a crate of power packs and revealed his position to Saph.  Freezing instantly, Riq listened for a slip from Saph that would allow him to prance unsuspectingly upon her.

Hearing muffled, panic breaths, Riqimo stepped closer, silent under the cover of darkness.  When he was only a few feet away and certain of her position, Riq lunged forward and when she jumped up in surprised, he pushed her against the wall.  He took pleasure in the sound she made when she impacted with the cold duracrete wall.

Riq quickly pinned her wrists against the wall, preventing any complete struggle from her.  Her silver eyes glistened with a fear at how her squad leader was behaving, quite far from the normal, semi-pacifist Riqimo that led the squad most of the time.

"You have insulted me for the last time..." Riq breathed into her face, baring his teeth.  His eyes fluttered a minute and then he looked at his hands, to Saph and then stepped back away from her as if her touch burned him.

What were you doing!

Teaching her not to mess with you of course.

By making her fear me?  How do I gain respe...

Riq stood still as Saph hurriedly brushed pass him, opening the door and hurrying down the hall.  He knew that Saph wouldn't tell anyone for some strange reason, almost as if she had told him that she wouldn't...
