The Aviator exam which your taking now, then the Senior Aviator exam once you're a petty officer, Master Aviator once your a Warrant officer, and then it all gets a bit more complicated.
Pass the BT, then get to work in your squad.
And Aeos, didn't take you long to become a petty officer did it?  -----------------------

Petty Officer is not an officer rank, thus, Petty. Official officer rank starts at 2nd Lt. the one I have. Ensign is like a training rank for pilots who's on their way to become officers. -----------------------

Well, it didn't take me a year to get Petty, I was active with Gemini and Shiric two months more or less each and I worked each of them to Petty officer. -----------------------

No, it's not not hard to become petty officer, if you work hard enough, you end up with Senior Crewman right after you graduate from the academy. But then again, Petty officer isn't an officer rank. -----------------------

For the record, the Navy isn't really seeking out new officers. We've got an awful lot as it is compared to the Army.
That said, even when we are seeking new officers. We'll contact you, not the other way around. -----------------------

Been here since 2000 and on...look at my rank.
It's going to take a lot longer than you think buddy, but stick with it, because determination and effort will get you a lot of places around here...especially if your consistant.

Heth is right- the officer ranks are not to be taken lightly. The beginning ones are more compulsory than anything and we even get hesitant with those- I wasn't promoted for nearly a year once I was an officer. It's a very, very slow road: enjoy rapid promotion while you can  -----------------------
