Kal walked along the hanger, reading the copy of Than's report that had been forwarded to him. The flight leader certainly had an interesting interpretation of the written form of Basic.

"Stop that cat!" Someone screamed to him, and he looked down to see a calico blur dash by him. He saw a man who appeared to be of about his early twenties running towards him.

"Did you see where it went?" He asked, looking around.

"What was it?" Kal asked, scanning the hanger for the furball.

"A cat, my girlfriends. She wanted me to look after it, and it got out of our apartment." He paused. "Hey, I've gotta write a report for my supervisor and I'm running short of time. If you can find and return that kitten here at 2000 hours, I'll give you a hundred thousand credits."

Kal pondered this for a moment. The squadron wasn't really doing anything at the moment... "Deal."

"All right! Thanks man, I owe you one." The man started to walk away, but then turned back. "By the way, it's name is Mittens."

"Mittens?" Kal repeated.

"Yes."

"Let me get this straight," The pilot said, "It's name is Mittens the Kitten?"

The man sighed. "I want to let you know I had no part in the naming of the cat. Anyways, I've gotta run. 2000 hours."

And thus, the quest to find Mittens the Kitten began.

Than Sion was walking back to his barracks when he heard an explosion that seemed to have come from the far side of the base.  A squad of Storm Troopers was running down the hall in that direction.  So Sion drew his DL-44 and followed them.  When they finally got to their destination the scene was one of utter discrimination.  The door of the metal room was reduced to a twisted metal heap on the ground.  As the smoke cleared one could see that the room's walls were all warped by the kinetic and thermal forces of the explosion.  He stepped on something that made a crumpling sound.  Sion stepped back, bent down and picked up the charred remains of some kind of cardboard item.

When the realization hit him he was filled with hate for whoever would do such a thing.

"They destroyed the freezer," said Than Sion, barely containing his anger.

On cue the smoke cleared completely and one could see chunks of flashed cooked meat splattered on the floor, walls, and even the ceiling.  Thick liquid that had once been ice cream ran down the walls and pooled on the floor.  The horrible stench of cooked vegetables filled the air.

"The freezer was not the only thing they took out."  Than Sion turned to see a Storm Trooper with his helmet off.  He had dark haired and was smoking a cigarette.  He pointed to the pools of blood that Than Sion had over looked because of the shock that the freezer had brought forth.

"I can't see the NR doing such a thing, even they would be unable to bring themselves to doing something so horrid as destroying all the ice cream, fresh meat, and cooks," stated Sion.  "It would take some cold hearted bastards to make eating so dull by reducing us preparing our own canned food and rations!"

"It is because they didn't, if they had the bodies would still be here along with collateral blaster damage to the surrounding area.  Plus one or two dead Rebels that were either killed by the cooks or by each other.  Only Space Commies could have pulled off such an attack.  Only the Galactic Soviet Union would do such a thing.  We just might have a foot hold  situation on our hands..."

When 3PX2 made it to the mechanic, he immediately had the mechanic make a diagnostic on his leg. "I don't know what you did to this leg, but somehow it got infected with some kind of virus." the Mechanic said. "Virus!?" 3PX2 said confused, "Yes, it seems to only be affecting the right leg. Not any other area of you. I will need to run a full diagnostic on you to determine if there are any more viruses inside you." the Mechanic said. "Only One Person could have had the capabilities to put a virus into my leg, without me knowing. It has to be the master, Earthjedi." 3PX2 thought to himself. After the mechanic made his diagnostic he found that there was no other virus n the system. He also found something very strange. "I can move the virus to another, less-vital system, but it won't let me move it." the mechanic reported. "Fine, give me 5 minutes and ill have a system for you to transfer the virus to." C-3PX2 then deiced to use his new "Auto-Save" technology, which allowed him to back up his droid mind into a external drive. In the event that he is destroyed, who ever re-builds him puts the drive in, and he is returned to the state at which he saved. Earthjedi put it into him during 3PX2 remodeling. "Ok, I'm Ready. Place the virus into the program called "auto-save" 3PX2 said. The mechanic, still confused, did what 3PX2 said to do. Within five Minutes 3PX2;s leg was working again, and the auto-save back-up program was not. After leaving the Mechanic, he then began his search to find out why there was a virus in him.

3px2 began searching in the most ovious place. The Data crystal that "Earthjedi" gave him before he left the base. After looking through half of it all, he found what he wanted. The file that told about the new droid body, that he was now in. He found that earthjedi put the virus into his leg, with a message. When he examined the virus, and saw that there was something in it. It said, "I made you stonger, now find a way to work around this. - Earthjedi", he found that this was what he had feared. It was a virus that would disable a part of his body, with no way of removing it. He would have to suffer until he met earthjedi again, then he would force him to remove the virus.

Nothing! dredj was starting to get worried. He hadnt heard from Than since he went into the underground storage area. But dredj continued on route. He called for a squad of troopers to go investigate, and that he would be goin gthere shortly.

Dredj continued forward, and when he reached the salvageing area, he saw a blackhooded figure run across his Helmets HUD.

"ACtivate nightvision and helmet headlights. The room filled with light. Find the power conduit so we can see better. three troopers took off to find it. Dredjand the other four pressed after the figure. About a 15 meters ahead they encountered gunshots. They were outnumbered. Dredj ordered everyone back  as a round grazed his crimson armor.He popped a EMP grenade and ducked behind a metal hull. "BBZBBZBBZBBZZZZ! the grenade exploded but the shots dint stop. Wouldn't there gear be offline after direct exposure to EMP? Dredj noticed that these werent lasers, they were bullets!One of the stormtroopers was struck between the eyes and was killed the three men that went to find the powerconduit had activated it but were ambushed shortly after.

They were coming from, everywere, dredj was stunned, this was a very impressive ambush, he never seen anything like it, but one hting caught his attention. The symbol on the uniforms and what they saying.

They were speaking in Russian, these were commines, but were did they come from, Dredj thought on this and came up with an idea.he told them to turn off their headlights as he shot the lights, but they still had night vision so they would have the advantage, dredj pulled out six shuriken and beamed them across the room killing 4 of them. They then retreated back killing the commies coming from behind them.

Than Sion violently pushes Cyleaf out of his "bubble" and then gets up quickly.

"Cyleaf, I didn't know you were like that," said Sion, paranoid.  "I just want to make it clear right here and right now that I like women and only women."

"You were out on the floor, it looked like you needed mouth to mouth," replied in a defensive tone.

"Yeah, right.  Next thing you will be telling me is that the Commies use slug throwers."

"Actually, they do."

"Fine Cyleaf, if you want to be like that..."

Than Sion walked out of the small cavern and took a left, only to run right into one of the Reds.  They had both dropped their guns in the collision.  Each of them where now searching their uniforms for any type of weapon.  Than ended up getting his hands on a tooth brush right before the Communist pulled out a carrot.  They both knew it would be a difficult battle ahead.

With nothing to do, now that he had solved the mystery behind where the virus came from, c-3px2 headed to the Simulators to tweak his flight maneuvers. He walked down the never ending halls and saw an open service crawlspace. He saw tools lying in the entrance way of the service area, but when he checked inside there was no one inside. He could however see a sparking service station down the crawlspace, and decided to crawl in and see if he could fix it. He slowly crawled into the crawlspace and went towards the panel. As he crawled in front of the panel, and thought something was odd. The moment he went to work on the panel, the worst possible. The Panel Exploded in a burst of EMP. The Blast fried 3PX2's circuits. He tried to crawl out the crawlspace, and made it to the end of the crawlspace. There he collapsed, there he died. C-3PX2 died ... ... ... Or did he ???

1 hour Later...

In the mechanical station, "Sir, are you operating?" the mechanic asked. C-3PX2 was laying on a repair table, not knowing what was going on. "Your circuits got shut down after a service conduit exploded. I was able to repair you , and put your memory and history back into you because of the auto save." the mechanic finished. After the mechanic explained exactly what happened, 3PX2 decided to get up off the table. "Why was the crawlspace open?" 3PX2 asked. "There was a problem in that section, and a mechanic went to fix it. He noticed that is was malfunctioning, and went to the shut off station, father down the crawlspace. He found you after the explosion." the mechanic explained. After another 10 minutes of explaining 3PX2 left to continue on to the simulators.

Completely oblivious to the complicated twisted plotline, he was thrown in, HellKite slowly made it down to the barracks lounge.  There he reached for his daily cup of "Joe" only to have found that it was replaced with sugar free, calorie free, carb free, substance free tea as a part of the new health program of the Navy.  Groaning, Hellkite heads back upstairs for a nap again.  It was going to be a long Monday.  Upon returning to his almost prison like room, HellKite found his walls spray painted with Communist propaganda.  Examining his door-lock, he found it had been not been picked but rather blown up into pieces.  Curious as to who was behind all of this, Hellkite strolled out of his room and left to roam.

The intergator was furious, that was the best he could do. Unforutnately for him it would be the last, dredj's wrist blade cut through the binders and as he pulled himself off the table. The commie was stunned as Dredj's wrist blade punched through is chest and out of his back. He began to writhe and squirm. Dredj being a true interogation officer, didnt want to waste his time with him, so he picked him up by his throat and held 4 feet off the ground. Dredj felt the serge of energy as he crushed the mans throat with his hands. He threw the lifeless corpse to the floor and took his gun, he also grabbed his weapons from off the table and a few curius looking grenades, that said "White Phosphorus" whatever that was.

He fiddled with the gun and it fired a round that put a dent in the wall,. He grabbed the ammo on the table as he left the room and caught two commies off guard and shot them, the rounds puched them against the wall. He looked at the side of the gun and it said m-18 assault shotgun.

Funny name for a gun that was so strong. He shrugged his shoulders and check his squad GPS, he was really far underground, but there wa a service elevator about 243 meters away, he could take that up to the storage bay. He planted 3 plasma detanators and armed them, he could easily take out atleast a third of the tunnels with this payload. Each bomb contained enough explosives to take down a small camp.

Dredj was happy he had bought them. Now all he had to do was link up with his squad and find Than and stop this insurgency. Dredjs smilled as the elevator dorr shut, and the bomb light went green.
