Sheesh, i really don't believe that i actually have spare time to do this.
anyway. do the following steps (assuming you are not totally new to chat relay program)
use this
or this (it's the same anyway)
or this (really, it's the same)
or this, if you see at post from several people who have their panties on fire at the comnet when the main server is down.
and when you click connect and see tsume's boast line, just type the same thing like i did
if all fails, just use the da*n jIRC provided at the main site

It actually did help alot Dez and I know that I appreciate your time and effort on this. When the Mirc went down I had no idea about jIRC until I read this post. So I for one thank you for it. -----------------------

i have instructions and one picture for javachat on the lancer site, for people that are that much of a failure.
also, some people might not see Talons boast line, if lets say someone had already downloaded mIRC and changed settings so you didn't see the MOTD.

this is intended for those who are using only that default server channel
what's the point making a basic tuto for someone who actually have the knowledge and already playing with the default setting :P

You'll have to add that server to your list.
If using mIRC:
-At start-up, select 'File', 'Select-Server'
-Click the 'Add' button, and insert the required information (irc.vastempire.com, etc.) -----------------------

At school i am unable to access the MIRC chat, nor the JIRC. There is a firewall on the school network that won't let me in.

ug, i can't seem to connect to half the internet tonight, IRC included, noT sure if that's for the same reason or if i just pissed off an admin on that one though, clarification would be much appreciated. If that's not the case I'm just wondering if anyone else is having a problem and what could be the cause here, i've tried all the servers listed above, despite that the list is old, could only connect to holonet, which did me no good. -----------------------

i dont no but for some reason on java only the holonet server works for me and on mIRC it never even connects i dont why but i need some help. |

The IP addresses were pointing, I guess, to the wrong host. Kadann has made some changes, and they should be updated within 24 hours. -----------------------

I have already posted the problem in the main comnet but I think I should just point it out again. I try to start VE servers with mIRC, but they all come up connection timed out, help please! -----------------------
