Here's one of the four I finished this weekend. This is Level 1, Story 1: Field fortifications.

Shakey once again walked down the halls of the Academy. Attracted many strange glances as she lumbered down the halls. Jen had always been big, but now a days she had grown to a rather astonishing height of seven feet five inches. She wore her new custom armor and robes. Shakey never knew where she was going in this huge place so she headed to the help desk. As she walked along she mumbled her thoughts to herself.

"It's been too long. Squad transfer, training, everything seems to be going so fast. Now I get the chance to advance my training and I'm grumbling, something must be wrong with my head."

She reached the help desk and the small mousy woman looked up and asked the routine line in a squeaky voice,

"May I help you mam?"

"Yes, where is the field fortifications class being held?" Shakey asked keeping her composure. After going through training once having to deal with this small little people always seemed like a waste of time, but also like a test of her personal control.

"The class is down the hall to your left. From there to take the turbolift up three flights and it's your third door on the right." She answered quickly trying to get back to her work.

"Thank you." Shakey mumbled as she trotted off down the hall. She reached the turbolift and looked at how new it was. Shakey realized just how long she had been gone.

"Even the turbolifts are new. I leave for six months and everything changes. I'll never get used to this."

When the turbolift stopped she stepped out and took the third door on the right marked, Field Fortifications Training. Shakey walked inside to find not a single room with equipment and a simulator, but huge rooms that half was made to look like a battle situation. The single instructor sat in his chair in a crisp training officer uniform.

"You must be Shakey. Welcome to FFT." Said he.

"I am. So, were do we begin?" Shakey asked.

"First we will start with the basics," He explained, "There are multiple kinds of fortifications that can be raised in the field, from simple trenches to complex systems of field generators. Anything that can cover or protect your squad is a great help and much useful. We will start with basic bunkers. A bunker is anything that protects your squad ."

After several hours of complex training and actual practice building the trainer was satisfied with Shakey's progress. She was working on a complex bunker that had mounted fire turrets and a very small shield generator. Shakey was deep in a train of thought as she worked her way through the wires and then began programming the firing program and listed in the required amount of data and enemy protocols to fire at. This was supposed to be the final test in her training but the training officer felt that for her level of training she would need something more real life.

"Shakey?" The officer called trying to get her attention.

"Hmm?" Shakey mumbled trying to break away from her train of thought. The officer approached her to inspect her work and tell of her of the real test. At that moment Shakey finished the program and activated it. The test automatically popped up with four hologram Rebels that were immediately fired upon by the turret. The sudden shots made the officer jump and yelp. Shakey turned around with a small smile on her face, obviously resisting a laughing fit.

"Are you ok sir?" Shakey asked helping him off the floor where he had taken cover.

"Yes, I'm ok. That was an excellent job you did." He said as he made an inspection of her work.

"What program did you use? The turret program I gave you wasn't made to fire at that firing rate. What did you do to make them all fire that fast?" He asked.

"All I really did was change the moderation controls in the blaster's wiring and then hack the program to allow the fire rate to change." She answered simply.

"Very good." He mumbled as he finished his inspection. In a matter of hours Shakey had managed to complete every test in the program, from making quick trenches to heavily durasteel structures to a well defended bunker. "Now I would like to direct your attention to the Simulator. The Sim is programmed with a training exercise that is made for those that surpass the normal training. You may find this test hard, testing, and even impossible. You will be given basic materials, a mounted turret, and wires and the like. Your mission is to construct an armed fortification into a rock face. You will have an hour to complete construction before a small attack force arrives. They will attack once in range and will continue to attack until either the simulation ends, you kill them, or they kill you. Please step inside." He explained as he opened the simulator.

The simulation program kicked in with Shakey's vision. She took a look at her surroundings and noticed the target rock face. A few advanced welding lasers along with several large boxes of materials. Shakey set to work.

First she went through the smaller containers until she found several surveying equipment. She set it up and scanned the rock face for weak points. When she found the right spot she set up the cutting lasers. Because of her scan and estimations the laser cut right through and hollowed out a good-sized hole. Next she set to work on the metal works. The cutting lasers snipped the material into the correct shape and size for placement. She reinforced the durasteel with four layers before setting it against rock. The welding laser did its job and firmly attached the bunker to the rock face. Next Shakey went to work on the door and its programming. She made the door thicker on both sides for a bit of finesse. Shakey mounted the laser outside the base but decided against it. She took the cutting laser and blaster a hole big enough for the laser to fit in. She then carefully rerouted the main power of the laser from shielding to firing and programming. The programming was set to be latched onto the ground, on ground level, but now it had to be put under ground level and that would confuse the program. Shakey set to work on the program and managed to override the main system to accept all types of conditions. She then reset the energy flux to the main forward shields and firing/targeting. She set the laser into the ground and firmly sealed it in place, but left it enough room to pivot. Now came the fun part, waiting. Shakey went inside the bunker and waited for a good twenty minutes for the attacking squad. They appeared just in visual range. The holograms were very good but they still looked like holograms. At first they tried to fire upon the bunker but the blaster shots just bounced off. Next they tried the full frontal assault but had not seen the firing turret laser. They laser popped out of the ground once it had sensed the approaching enemy forces, and opened fire. They four hologram troops didn't stand a chance and the turret easily cut them down. They world began to spin and then became black.

"Well done Shakey, you passed." Came the voice of the training officer. She was once again inside the large room and looking up at the man's smiling face.

"So, how'd I do?" She asked getting out of the Simulator.

"I can only give you an one hundred and ten, but you deserve more. That blaster turret was purely phenomenal. I myself didn't even program that into the machine or the holograms, looks like you got it easy. The next class won't get it so good. Good job."

Just a friendly reminder

Each training story must at least 2 pages long.
2 pages of a basic letter 8.5" by 11" in words page setup. with font 12 times new roman and single line spacing.

fail to do that, then off to the trash bin of my mind.

one more thing, make sure you have the tracking sheets so you know which story to write first.

if you don't have it, or don't know how to fill it, contact me or Rizzit

cheers

Well here is my first story..i hope it is okay.

Story 1: Basic electronics/wiring

Hellra sat on the floor cursing as she sucked her injured thumb. A small smell of burned platic filled the air.
"Bluddy wires" said Hellra out loud not paying heed to her surroundings.
"All well, no problems here I presume?" asked an officer over her shoulder.
Hellra silently cursed as she jumped to attention.
"No problems here Sir" she said with confidence.
"Oh, good, can I expect this to be finished soon than?" asked the officer.
"Oh yes sir, no difficulties at all" answered Hellra, inwardly panicking.
"Carry on" with that said the officer walked out of the small room that Hellra was busy in. It wasn't a room exactly.

It was one of the training simulators used for training pilots. At the moment however it could not used for training, as one pilot got so frustrated at the simulator for being so difficult, that he pulled out his hand blaster and shot it at the steering stick. His trainer was not impressed. And now Hellra was stuck with the tiring task of fixing the mess. Her commanding officer said she should have no problem with this, as it was only basic wiring and electronics.
The room was dimly lit, so Hellra was forced bring a small portable light with her.

Hellra raised the flashlight to have another look at what she is supposed to, the blue light flashed in the metal that was exposed to it.
She will have to cut the burned plastic out first in order to get to the inner workings of the wiring of the stick. Hellra scratched her head.
Was she supposed to unscrew the whole outer panel or just cut out the damaged bit?
"I knew I should have listened in class when we were talking about this" grumbled Hellra. She ran a thumb across the melted pieces. A piercing pain made its way yet again across her thumb.
"Ouch!" Hellra let out a few words that didn't fit her. She lifted her thumb closer for inspection.

"Great, now I am qualified to say both my thumbs a injured"

Hellra slouched against the wall. She ran her one hand through her hair out off nature. Realising her glasses were dirty she took them off. She winced at the sudden light penetrating her eyes. Closing her eyes she quickly cleaned her dark glasses before sliding them back over her eyes.

Hearing someone nearing Hellra quickly rushed back to working, a few minutes later a droid entered the room
Hellra turned around to look who it is.
"Droid C1, how nice of you to join me" said Hellra sarcastic as she continued to fiddle with the wires peeling from the steer sticks inside. The droid was small build, and had two small wheels to get around.

"That. Looks. Very. Easy." Said the droid in his start-stop formed sentences.
"Oh yes, it should be easy for you since you are made of wires!" said Hellra getting angry.
"Look here Droid C1--" Hellra was however cut short when the droid suddenly interrupted her.
"I. Am. Not. droid. C. 1" said the driod, Hellra swore she could see the driod smirk, but that is impossible since driods can't smirk.
Hellra peered closely at the inscriptions that were printed on the driod.
"Oh your name is G7...oops" said Hellra unfazed; she turned back to her work.

As Hellra worked she could feel the droid's penetrating stare on her back. She couldn't concentrate, she wasn't really concentrating before anyway but still...
"Do you mind?" said Hellra with irritation in her voice.
"Mind?" asked the droid confused
"Yeah, like leaving me alone?"  Asked Hellra almost pleadingly now
without a sound the droid left leaving Hellra the sore business of untangling the wires.

Once again Hellra leaned against the wall sighing in boredom. Her hand went up running through her hair once more. She sighed again. She looked over to the mess she made with the wires. She hated working with wires. There was a time when she would have loved it. Her thoughts drifted to her past, she was only ten. Two years before she ran away from home. She and her friends who were mostly boys made bets that could endure electrical shocks best. They had a big competition and she thought it would be best to train for it, improve her stamina. She decided she must electrify herself.
One problem, she didn't own one of those little machines to shock her self.

Hellra made a very foolish decision. She will electrify her self through the plugs. The plugs had one hole where she pushed a wet piece of wire through. The pain was unbearable, she felt numb and couldn't move at all. Her father found her and pulled her away from the plug and wire.

The doctors of the hospital where her father had rushed her said it was a miracle she survived. After this electrifying incident Hellra lost her sense of touch, not completely but she wasn't so sensitive when she got burned or hurt anymore.

"Aren't you suppose to be working?" asked a voice interrupting Hellra's thoughts.
Hellra looked up alert.
She relaxed when she saw it was only a secretary but got up none the less.
"Yes I properly should, answered Hellra miserably. Just looking at the wires and thinking about the basic rules of electrons made her want to scream.
The secretary crouched on the floor to have a look at the wires.
"Oh my, quite a mess you made, said the secretary worriedly, she wasn"t worried about the wires. That could be fixed easily. She was worried about Hellra. If her commanding officer found this he won't be pleased.

"Have looked at your instruction manual, there is a chapter about basic wiring and electronics" suggested the secretary; Hellra gave her a thankful look as she stormed out of the room to find her manual.

Out of breath Hellra arrived at her small closet. She opened it and begun to rummaged through it. Her closet was a mess, a bigger mess than her wires. After a few minutes of fruitless searching, Hellra remembered that she packed it with her other books in her bedside cabinet. She shared a room with two other girls. Hellra jerked her small bedside cabinet door open, crammed full of books. She couldn't get luckier; it was right on top of all her books. Before Hellra exited her room she had one lost look around. While her other two roommates sides were neat and tidy, Hellra's side represented complete chaos.

"The sergeant will kill me, mumbled Hellra to her self. Indeed he would, her bed was not made, she overslept as usual and didn't even had time to pack her clothes in her closet.

"Connect the blue wire to port D" Hellra was mumbling the instructions as she untangled the wires from each other. She felt much more confident in what she was doing now. About two hours flew by. Hellra was on the brim off finishing. She still had to connect one last wire.

"That. Took. You. Very. Long"
Hellra turned from her crouched position from the floor to the droid
"Oh its you again" she said to Droid G7, G7 turned its half moon head looking around the room.
"You know why it took so long?" asked Hellra happily, nothing could spoil her mood. She didn't give G7 a chance to answer her&
"Because it has bigger brains that you"
The driod ignored her comment as he moved closer to her.
Hellra watched him out of the corner of her eye.

"That. Port. Should. Be. Connected. To. The. Blue. Wire. Not. The. Red. Wire." Said G7 as he inspected the neatly placed wires that lined each other now. Hellra felt her self-control slipping once more. She flipped her book open to see if he was right, he was. This meant she would have to unplug at least fifteen wires to correct this one mistake.

A small yell went through the air, and blue sparks filled it. Hellra looked down smugly at her handiwork. She punched G7 in his weak spot, the area where his stomach is supposed to be. Good thing he wasn't a fighting droid, or she would have been in big trouble and wouldn't have been able to punch hi. Hellra rubbed her sore fist&
"Wow even the messenger droids are made of stronger materials today" mumbled Hellra.

Another few hours later Hellra's commanding officer checked in where she was working. He saw her sitting against the wall writing something on a notepad.
Hellra saw his shadow. She jumped from her sitting position against the wall in attention.

"You are finished?" asked the officer
"Yes Sir, I am just finishing my report to you" said Hellra
The officer took the notepad from Hellra's hand. His eyes glided over it.
"Good" said the officer as he walked over to the dashboard with its melted steering stick.
"Sir we will need to replace some parts though, I could only connected and sort the wires for a real mechanic to work here, I reconnected the holographs and also the head sets with the speakers in the other control room, some wires will have to be replaced, I could fix a few ones who weren't damaged enough" said Hellra.

"Yes I see, the damage is much worse than I thought, said officer, he stepped around in the small room. He stopped at the still sparking body of Driod G7
"And this?" asked the officer curiously
"He malfunctioned Sir, answered Hellra, well he did in a very indirect manner. Even though she was scared if he found out the truth she couldn't help but feeling satisfied with the droid's demise.
"I don't want to know, said the officer, when he saw a small smirk tugging at Hellra's lips.
The officer stepped to the door, just as he was about to leave he turned around
"Since you made such good job with the simulator tough we will have to replace some parts, could you repair Droid G7?"

Communications Technician
Installation, Utilization, and Operation of Comm Equipment

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

Yillis woke to the sound of his alarm screaming in his ear, he knew he couldn't be late for his first class as a Communication Technician. He threw on some cloths and grabbed his data pad and headed out, through the barrack entrance. Yillis rechecked where he was supposed to be going.

As Yillis entered he training room he was welcomed by a few trainee's waiting for the class to start were there. After about 13 standard minutes of waiting, and directly on time, the instructor walked through the open door.

"Good Morning future Communication Technicians, welcome to your first class, Installation, Utilization, & Operation of Basic Communication Equipment. We'll start with installation&"

When the instructor had finished the lecture on installation, the he noticed we'd been in there for more than an hour; he let us have a five minute break. Yillis went out to the entrance where we noticed a few vending machines.

"He's a pretty good instructor don't you think?" said a voice behind Yillis. He turned to see the speaker, "Yeah I have managed to stay awake through most of this, my goal is to stay awake for all of it."

The other trainee laughed and Yillis took his drink and went back inside the training room, where the class was about to start up again.

"I think that everyone is back now, onto the Utilization and Operation of Communication Equipment."

After another grueling hour of lectures on the installation and operation of the equipment he finally said, "Now it's time to test out the things I have just taught you about"

The instructor then led us out of the room into a large courtyard, where we all got our own set of equipment.

"Now you will each take a different direction into the woodland from here and will keep in constant communication with your counterpart inside the training base here. You will get updates to where your designation will be during your trip. Good Luck."

A voice came out of Yillis's equipment that said, "Hello Yillis. I am your droid counterpart for this mission. My name is R-34O. You may call me Thirty-four if you wish."

"Hello Thirty-four, I'm ready to go if you are."
"Proceed with your chosen direction, Yillis"

Yillis left the building and went into the woodland. He didn't see any other trainee's so he keep going straight, keeping in constant communication with Thirty-four.

    "How am I doing Thirty-four?"

"After another 43 steps you should take a 50 degree turn to the right."

    "Sure thing Thirty-four"

As Yillis reached the 43 steps, Thirty-four's voice suddenly started to crackle then cut out completely. Yillis tried to reach it but he couldn't get through. Yillis tried to think of what the instructor had said to try if you couldn't get through and you didn't think it was a range or power problem.

"Hmmm, something about the single probably being blocked, now what did he say...OH! do reduce static or interference you should try to lay your own interference beacon."

Yillis promptly took an interference beacon from his pack and activated it.

    "Thirty-four, do you copy?"

"I hear you loud and clear, Yillis, good job."

    "Thanks, where to now?"

"130 more steps at 50 degrees to the right."

Yillis started off again in the direction that Thirty-four said. Upon reaching his destination thrift-four said, "We will now disable all equipment that you left with; you have to install the pieces in front of you into a working transmitter". Yillis got right to work on the device, taking only 6 minutes to construct the base of the transmitter. Yillis wondered if the battery pack from the equipment would still work, he decided it wouldn't hurt to try. As he was taking the battery out of the equipment he whole unit gave him a huge shock.

"#$%, I guess that idea didn't work. What can I do to find a battery in the middle of nowhere here?"

Yillis then remember about the solar panel he saw under a bunch of junk. He dug the panel out and hooked it up to the commutation device. It was almost done except for the input control. Yillis looked around through the junk that was here but couldn't find an input device. He suddenly remembered that you could use an output device for an input device, it just barely worked. Yillis picked up a good output control and hooked it up to his unit. He yelled into the input control, "THIRTY0FOUR, CAN YOU HEAR ME?"
Out of the real output device came Thirty-Four's voice, "I hear you loud and clear Yillis, Congratulations on passing the first part of your Communications Technician training. You can leave all your equipment there"

    "Thanks a lot Thirty-four"

Yillis open his data pad and found the easiest route back to Lancer barrack, where he knew he would have a good meal after being at training without good food for a day.

                                                                                                    Training story #1 by Darr-Rann

Darr-Rann battled against the Republic soldiers on Coronet. He felt a searing pain in his face as the rebel cut him along the eye with the tip of his vibrodagger...

Darr-Rann woke up screaming, his twin DL-44s in his hands. His droid R2-Y7 beeped and turned its half-sphere head in his direction. He sighed and forced himself out of bed. As he dressed he looked in the mirror at the long scar that ran down his face beside his eye. He shook his head and continued to prepare for his day.

Darr-Rann walked down the hallway of the Academy. Looking at the map he downloaded onto his Datapad, he walked over to a doorway on the right. He pressed the button to open the door and walked inside. The room was filled with tables with what looked like human bodies on top. At the end of the room a training officer sat at his desk, staring at the screen. He noticed the room was empty except the two of them. "Excuse me, but am I late for advanced first aid?" the instructor looked up at him. "No, your twenty minutes early." Darr-Rann sighed with relief. "Uh, sir, what's with the bodies?" The instructor laughed. "They aren't bodies, they are simulation droids." He got up out of his desk and walked over to the nearest one. "We use them to simulate an injured patient so you can get actual hands-on practice in treating someone." He looked at his datapad. "Well, there isn't much longer 'till class starts so you might as well be seated."

The rest of the class filled in and took their seats. The Instructor looked at them and stated "Welcome to the advanced first Aid class, the launching platform of your medical careers in the Empire!" He walked over to his computer, pressing a few buttons on his computer, brining his name up on the holo-projector situated to the right of his desk. "I am Instructor Tyan't, and I will be teaching a large portion of your classes."Let's start by discussing techniques for saving patients with hart failure..."

Darr-Rann stood outside the classroom during break, talking to a couple of students he met. One was a black haired human named Tal, and the other was a blond haired female named Jessica. "So," Tal said. "This course isn't as easy as I thought it would be." Darr-Rann laughed and responded, "Well, it's the Imperial Academy, we're learning from the best." Jessica looked at her datapad for the time. "We better go back in, breaks done in about three minutes."

The instructor looked around the small class. "I think that's enough note-work, lets get started with some real training." He walked over to his computer. "I'm going to start a series of training drills were you will have to treat your droid for different injuries. Lets begin!" He pressed a button and suddenly the droids sprung to life. Darr-Rann's droid started screaming as a cut opened and a red fluid that looked a lot like blood. Taking up his medical equipment he thought to himself. "Well, here goes nothing."

Darr-Rann had been doing well so far, and finally reached the final stage. "Common dammit..." he swore as he tried to jump-start his patient's hart."Respond!" the droid suddenly started breathing. "YES!" he cried out, sitting down at the seat beside the table. The instructor looked around. "Well, it seems everyone is finished." He walked over to his computer and pressed a few keys. "You're dismissed." Darr-Rann started walking towards the door. "PFC Darr-Rann, Can I talk to you for a moment?" Darr-Rann Exchanged glances with Tal and Jessica and walked nervously up to the desk.

"Darr-Rann, I have to offer you my congratulations, you were the only student to achieve a perfect mark." Darr-Rann sighed with relief. "And I have an offer for you." He walked over to his computer and gestured for Darr-Rann to fallow. "You see here there are different levels of intensity of training." He gestured at the tables. "You were doing level one. I bet you five imperial credits you can't get 100% on level two." Darr-Rann smiled and walked over to the table. "I'll take that bet!"

Darr-Rann watched the timer as it counted down. Suddenly the word 'BEGIN' flashed on the hologram. He went to work healing his patient. He noticed that the severity of the wounds was greater and the allotted time was much shorter. He worked quickly, taking care to completely treat all the wounds.

After about 40 minutes, his droid simulated a blaster-shot wound. Darr-Rann's heart nearly stopped as he saw the burn so eerily close to one he had treated so long ago...

It was during his time in the resistance. He and the group of Anti-Republic soldiers had laid siege to a republic police station and had jammed the communications. Blaster fire sped back and forth between the two sides, keeping both sides low. Suddenly a soldier near him was cut down by a blaster bolt. "Keith!" he called out as he dropped to his friend's side, pulling out his assorted medical gear the resistance had acquired. "Hang on..." he desperately attended to his friend's wound. Suddenly the soldier's body went limp. "No!" he cried furiously. "No, No!" he bowed his head in despair. Suddenly, anger overtook him. Drawing his Vibroblade, he charged on the Republic soldiers.

Coming back to reality, he quickly attended to the wound. "Common..." He muttered. "I'm not going to lose you again." He quickly applied Bacta and a bandage to cover it. He kept working through the stages, quickly addressing all of the problems.

Instructor Tyan't marveled at the student's progress. Walking over to his computer, he pressed a few buttons. "Let's see if he can earn those credits now." He thought.

Darr-Rann looked at the holo-projector. "One hour and twenty minutes," The thought. "Shouldn't it be done by now?" The simulations were getting more and more severe, and the time spans were getting shorter and shorter.  He worked furiously, not wanting to give in.

At two hours and thirty seven minutes, the holo-projector flashed the words "Exercise completed." Tyan't walked over to Darr-Rann with an astonished look on his face. "Dammit, that's the best I have ever seen a student do on their first day. Darr-Rann looked at him. "Surely others have been able to beat level two on their first day?" The instructor bowed his head guiltily. "Um, about that. About halfway through the exercise I increased the difficulty level to three."  He walked over to his computer. "I have wired five credits to your account, plus an additional fifteen for my actions." He walked over and shook the student's hand. "I think you are going to be a quality student."

Front line traing                        story #1

*bep beep beep* The alarm screeches. As Austin gets out of bed and turns off the alarm. Austin gets dressed and heads down the hall to the training area. As he walks into the out door traing area and goes to get the armor he wil be using.

Now that he has his blaster, armor, sighting devices, and his duel combat knifes. Every stormtrooper has a specific number assigned to them, his is 512. The instructor stands infront of all the troops at attention.

"Alright troops this is the final day of traing...we will be doing simulated buildng take downs to show you how difficult it can be" He goes on talking walking in front of us in the squad of four. "This will be timed for 2 hours, it will also be a hostage situation, you have to go in rescue the hostages and get out with leaving no man behind."

The instructor huddles us into a small troop transport. The transport goes for 10 minutes and stops at a ten story building. Over the comm vox the instructer says "The hostage is on the 5th story the time begins now" The dor to the trans port pounds open and everyone rushes out and and two men get one side of the door and the other two get on the other side.

Trooper 509 says to the squad "We now have 1 hour and 30 minutes to go in get out saftely...get it on with boys..." 512 places a breeching charge on the door and tells back "FIRE IN THE HOLE!!" detonates the charge and sends the metal door flying i nand hitting two poeple.

The squad then charges in and takes defensive poaitions around the second door to the right. 509 opes the door and tosses a thermal detaonater in and charges rite after it blows up and the squad follws rushing to the staris.

Trooper 510 stands up to say something to the leader and gets shot on the top of his head and a light bleeps saying he is dead from a man rite above them who then tursns and runs. "Sir I'll get that scumbag" says 512. With that 512 leaps over 509 and rushes up the stairs and stops and lays prone to provide more cover and takes out his blaster. 512 sees the mans leg as he wheels around the corner.

512 says over the comm vox "Sir i found him and I am tracking him down the hall to a small door..." 512 then jumps up and comes to a sliding stop on the wall beside the door and sets down a small drone the site of a trash droid and controls it via remote and drives it into the room after cracking the door some. "Sir I see 8 men...all with, what the?! they have rebel equipment..." 512 memorizes the place ment of the men inside and kicks the door open shotting one shot at the head of every man and doesnt miss a beat all the lights on there heads flash as dead. "sir we have a situtation...i need ur presence ASAP"

As 509 rushes up the stairs with 510 on his right shoulder followd by 511. "What is it trooper 512?" 512 points to a letter on the desk and it reads "If you have made it this far in 5 minutes you are doing good...if not u are behind schedual and need to hurry up so u do not loose any more points" "sir we are 8 minutes behind" says 511.

The team rushes up the last sets of staris, takeing every one they find as a KIA then they reach the 5th floor door and stop lying 510 down to the side. 509 wispers " we have to be verey carefull to not alert them to our presence and to take them out quitly. 512 you are going in alone, our intell says there are 15 men in that room and all have heavy weapons... becarefull soldier."

512 opens the door slowley and observes the room. 509 says "we have 10 minutes to get the hostage and get to thje roof with a smoke hurry"

With that 512 leaps behind a pillar and has his blaster to his chest titghly, and he looks around the corner to see the target and 2 men on either side of him. 512 takes out a noise making geranade and throws it away from the two. When it goes off itsounds like a bunch of animals and the two men run too see wat it is but one also watches behind them to watch the hostage. 512 then takes a wild shot and a light goes off on the mans temple and he drops down with a thud that makes the other man turn around. "Joe wat happend? oh man i dont like this" he tunrs and runs down the hall and drops a flash gernade behind him wen it goes off it blinds 512 some but he is used to this and knows how to evade still. he heads for the hostage and kneels down behind him and waites. 2minutes later the guy returns with 1 other person, 512 slowley stands up with his vibro knifes and puts them to the throught of each and ligghst on there throught go off as they drop and he unties the hostage and carries him out to the rest of the team

"Sir it is complet, how do we get to the roof?" "512 through that room u were just in...there is an elevator in there behind the hostage, go and ill be rite behind with 510 take 511 with you."

512 and 511 run in the elevator and push the button for the roof and take postions on either side of the door just incase of an ambush. the doors open and sure enough they see laser fire fly in as he doors open and then it stops...511 and 512 exchange looks and both nod and both throw a thermal detonator out and it lets out a bright flash and the lights all over the guards go off signifiying death. Then they jump out and run to the extract point to see 509 with 510 on his shoulders lep out of a ventalation duct and deploy the smoke "instructor we are done call in the pick up" as he done sayig that a trans port flys in and lands as everyone jumps abord and flies off to the base.

When they get back to the base the instructor is standing and waiting "Trooper 512 for your smart thinking and cunning abilities you have been passed, the rest of you did a good job except 510, he will undergo more traing, dismissed." Austin heads back to his room after getting his real equipment for some well deserved rest.

Story 2: Electrical systems

Hellra grunted as her alarm went off.
Her hand shot expertly out and grabbed the alarm. A few seconds later a loud crash could be heard as the alarm made contact with the wall opposite of her bed. Hellra smirked in satisfaction. She continued her sleep.

Hellra jolted awake at the sound of a door closing. She glanced around the room. Looks like her two roommates just left. A small yet high pitched sound emitted from Hellra's mouth as she yawned. She swung her legs from the bed to the ground. She gazed around looking for her DC-15 blaster pistol.
Hellra panicked for a second when she couldn't find it. She lifted her covers, she looked in her bedside cabinet. She sprung from her bed to the floor. She crouched on all fours looking under her bed. She stood up and winced as her legs protested of all the sudden movements. She bent over bed and grabbed her pillow, not that she used it actually. Most times she would sleep on the ground, if she could sleep.

Hellra sighed in relief when she saw her blaster pistol. Although it was pitch black in the room, she had no problem seeing. Hellra quickly showered and dressed for the day. She quickly slid her glasses over eyes before opening door. Hellra searched for her droid as she headed over to her designated destination. Rooms for acquiring basic skills. Most called it RABS.

"Morning. Hellra"
"Morning G7, what is the time and plans for today?" asked Hellra, when she fixed G7 she grew quite attached to him. She talked with her roommates and they agreed on letting her request G7 as the room's assisting droid. Each room had a droid that helped its occupants with their time table of the day or reminding them.

"It. Is. Now. Thirty. Minutes. Past. Eight. Your. Schedule. For. The. Day. Is. breakfast. At eight  forty. five. Your. Are. Writing. Theoretical. Test. About. Electrical. Systems. Two. O. clock. Your. Last. Preparation. Before. your. practical. Examination."  Answered the bot.

Hellra paled&

I am writing a exam today... Holy shi" Hellra got interrupted
"Good day Hellra, don't let me interrupt your sentence"
Hellra spun around.
"Holy ships, yeah alota ships coming in today Sir" said Hellra nervously

The officer stared at her not sure if he should believe her or what to say&
"Sir may I be excused?" asked Hellra.
The officer nodded&
Hellra quickly rushed away,
"Okay lets see, do I have my books...Crud"
Hellra stormed back to her room, G7 trying to follow her.
She flipped her book open and began reading.
"Many third world planets still uses gas, or oil powered ships and machines" Mumbled Hellra as her eyes darted across the pages.
"You. Missed breakfast." Interrupted G7 her.
"G7, thanks for reminding me, but firstly, yes I skipped breakfast, so what. There is always lunch&secondly I am late for my test&ciao!" Hellra sped away.

"You idiot, you should have studied!" scolded Helllra her self as she skidded in front of her class.
She rubbed her head out of nervousness, and opened the door.

Hellra stared in disbelief at the screen in front of her.
This was it?
Hellra glanced at the questions.

Which planet makes the best use of hydro electricity?
Who is the only planet in the northern quadrant to use the wind as part of their daily life basis.
Hellra smirked, this test was a breeze, well it did help that she had a photographic mind.
Although Hellra was used to writing on paper, she had to do her exams on the computor in front of her.
After she filled in the answers, Hellra faced death match. The computor would shot any question out to her randomly. She had to guve her answer within the time limit.

She was just good at memorising things. Hellra quickly filled in most of her answers. She knew she will get an average score at least and she wasn't worried that. She glared at the drawings in front of her. She hated when they gave diagrams.
"Okay, so if the blue port is connected to wire C that would mean the hydro pipe's wire, wire D should be connected to the white port" mumbled Hellra, she looked up to see the overseer clearing his.
"Sorry" apologised Hellra.
A few minutes later Hellra stood up, this was her first test she has ever written at the VE and she didn't know how the systems worked.
The overseer who knew she was new quickly showed her what to do.
Hellra left the room with guilt at the pit of her stomach, she always finished before other people did.

Hellra met up with G7 outside the RABS.
"What is the time?" asked Hellra
"Lunch." Replied the bot.
"Lunch can wait, and mind leaving me alone?" said Hellra walking back to her room.
She opened her door and stepped inside. Hellra let out a sigh of content as she took her glasses of. The room's lights were off, some machines and alarms beeped with little lights showing their activity, casting small green or red shadows on the floor.

Hellra bent on the ground, she picked up what used to be her alarm. She quickly found all the broken bits and pieces and dumped it in the room's instant disposal bin.
She plopped her self on her bed and took her book out about electrical systems.
A silence followed only to be interrupted by the flipping pages of a book.
Another few minute past. Hellra sighed as she threw her book down. She knew the material.
Hellra checked her watch. She had one hour free, might as well do something worthwhile.
She quickly ran out of her room to the training centres.
She peered through the doors to see what rooms were occupied. She wanted to train alone.
She grumbled, the usual hand to hand combat rooms were all occupied. She will have to do with a gravity simulator.
She pushed the door open and locked it when she was inside.
"What is designated level?" asked the computer operator.
"Medium" answered Hellra, immediately she felt the gravity pull at her.
It took her half her strength to just lift her legs. Hellra walked or rather stumbled around as she got used to the gravity. When she felt more used to the gravity Hellra began performing a simple kata.
She frowned when she looked at her feet. Her right foot was a few centimetres in front of her left.

"Looks like I will have to start again all over" mumbled Hellra lost in thought/
She continued for another thirty minutes before her timer went off.  She glanced at her watch.
"Bugger"

Hellra loved doing these kinds off tests. They had given her a really easy task. All she had to do was connect the right wires to its matching port. She pushed her buzz button indicating she was finished.
The examiner walked over.
"Good job PFC, you finished in three minutes&well follow me to your next level" exclaimed the examiner.
"There is another level?" asked Hellra confused.
"Of course, when you finish your level in a certain time, you go to the next level each time you have to work faster"answered the examiner.
"My life is over before it even began" Hellra as she was led to the next level.

Hellra sat in the waiting room. Most oh her fellow troopers received their results from their bots. But her examiner wanted to see her personally.
"Ah yes, PFC Hellra, please&come in" said the examiner.
"Thank you Mister?"
"Smoth" answered the man, he held his three fingered hand to shake. Hellra shook it nervously.
"You wanted to see me?" asked Hellra curiously.
"Yes, your results it"s average, I didn't expect that from you"
Hellra's face flamed up, as she blushed embarrassed.
She opened her mouth but quickly shut it as the man held up his hand.
"I expect more from you, you are sharp and skilful, but if you want to excel you will have to work more. You passed this exam with your common knowledge and a bit of studying&Do try harder&you are excused"

Hellra quickly rushed out.
"Okay, next time I will, next time I will" grumbled Hellra to her self as she walked to her room.

Comments: Allright, decent job. This story was VERY hard to follow for me, but from what I can make of it: you seem to have the theory down. This isn't all that easy a course, its not really doing anything: it's understanding the theory behind what you're doing. Good work for a course not all that great, but watch your Grammar, or next time I won't be so generous...

Dez lay flat under his tracker inside his personal garage, trying to configure the alignment of the gears. After a quick inspection, he said to himself.

"Meh, just as I thought. It was 5 degrees off the proper angle."

Dez slide off his tracker and he walks toward the workbench. He noticed there is a data pad from the Spec's division left behind for him.

"Hrmm, I guess they really don't want to see me after all."

Dez takes a look at the data pad and review it for a while. Still using his Vehicle Crewman suit that is soil with oil and dirt, he walks toward the Lancer base. The base's door opened automatically as he approach it, findings his troopers were playing Sabacc. Dez winced.

"Playtime is over. And this is what I have to say. The following trooper have passed their training and able to take next lesson"

  • Lance Corporal Yillis: Installation, Utilization, and Operation of Comm Equipment
You are given PAC20 Visual Wrist Com item.
By all means, optimize its function. You will find it useful off and on the battlefield

  • Private First Class Hellra : Electrical systems
    You are given AlienEnhancer Voxbox.
Don't see its function. It is what inside that matters. And your next lesson will be Demo

"For those who passed the training, grab your gears and move on. That is all"

Dez stormed out off the base, leaving his trooper confused. As he walk back toward his garage, he took some of  Perlene Stimulant.

"They better come up with stronger stuff next time"

Here is my second story. Sorry Dez, My Adobe is messed and its erases all info I save on the tracking sheet, I'll try to get you a copy.

     CHEMISTERY (EXPANDED VERSION)

                    2nd training story by Darr-Rann

The following takes place shortly after the events of "The Killhouse, and shortly before the beginning of "The calm before a Storm"...

Darr-Rann stood in his room, fencing to a holographic projection of a Republic officer projected by His droid R2-Y7. When he thought he had done enough, he packed away his gear and told Y7 to turn of the simulator. He looked at his datapad, Seeing that he still had a bit of time before his Chemistry course. He  walked over to the disk shaped object resting by a wall. Pressing a button on it, he issued his command. "TK-75D, Activate." The Droideka unfolded into it's walking mode. Brining it outside, he gave it another command. "Begin training exercise Three-B in twenty seconds." Running back a bit, he turned his twin DL-44s to the stun setting. The droid also set it's weapons to stun, and deactivated its shields. Suddenly it opened fire on Darr-Rann. Quickly rolling aside, he fired at the Destroyer. After a good bit of training, he checked his datapad again. "Well, I better get going." He said to himself. "Finish training program and return to my quarters, then deactivate." The droid returned to it's disk like form and rolled over to the barracks. Darr-Rann picked up his equipment and set off.

Darr-Rann walked down the hallway, looking for the chemistry room. Ahead of him, he spied his friends Tal and Jessica. Them and some other students stood outside the chemistry room in wait. Darr-Rann greeted them and walked over to the door. "Why are you all waiting out here?" He inquired. Jessica rolled her eyes and sighed. "The instructor hasn't arrived yet." A student Darr-Rann didn't know walked over to him and explained. "He is a pretty old guy, and it takes him a while to get around" He laughed. "He's probably just left the Instructor's residences." The student shook his hand. "Im Jeff, Im also taking medical training." Darr-Rann spied a balding old man walking down the hallway. He slowly reached them and unlocked the door. They filed in and began

After they were all seated, class finally began. "I am instructor Samuel." He looked at his datapad and then gestured at the small computers and boxes that rested on the tables. "Today we are going to do some Chemistry, as you all know, but for now all you need is your datapad." He walked over to his computer and started to post notes on the Holo-Projector. Rann started copying the information down on his datapad. There seemed to be no end to the notes that he presented them with, and the class had a boring feeling to it. Time seemed to pass slowly, and Darr-Rann soon started to drift off....

The Jedi and the Dark Jedi locked their sabers, the green and red blades sparking and flashing as they struggled for control of the situation. Moving intensely fast, the cut and parried in a deadly dance of blades. Suddenly the Jedi turned to face Darr-Rann, who was standing near by. The knight quickly charged, and suddenly he changed, and were the Jedi was a moment before now stood the republic soldier who he had fought with in Coronet. The blade came slashing down...

Suddenly he awoke. "Have a nice dream?" Tal asked him grinning. Darr-Rann Groaned as he rubbed his eyes and looked around. "You've been asleep for ten minutes." Jessica said. "Don't worry, I have a copy of the notes you missed for you." Darr-Rann cleared his mind of the troubling dream and got to work.

Darr-Rann and the others walked down the hallway after the class was finished,  his new friend Jeff following.  "Wow, that was boring." Tal commented. "It sucks we have to go again later." Darr-Rann shook his head. "Well, we should be doing some sort of real work soon, there is only so many notes he can give us. He walked over to a vending machine by the wall and bought a drink. "So, how has squad work been for you guys?" Tal shrugged, "Its been boring. So far we've only done training. Darr-Rann laughed. "Training can get pretty exiting. We trained in the Killhouse recently. Turns out, some guy wanted us dead. We fought tons of droids and assassins, my squad leader lost his hand, and another lost her Sight, although only temporarily." He smiled. "Im gonna get to observe the Surgery for his new hand." Jeff sighed. "You lucky bastard, why do you get all the fun?" Darr-Rann laughed. "Well, we have to get back to the class soon, we might as well set off.

Darr-Rann was right about the lesson. The teacher gestured to the computers on the tables. "These are Substance Analyzers. With them and our knowledge of basic chemistry we can quickly use them to find out the properties of various samples." With the information I have taught you, you are going to find out what each of the samples are. He walked over to his computer and pressed a few buttons. "I am going to set a time limit. In this time limit, you will have to analyze all of these samples." He pressed a few buttons and the time 1:30:00 appeared on the Holo-Projector. "If you get all of the samples correct, you get one-hundred percent. For every sample you do not analyze or falsely analyze, you will lose marks." He laughed. "I hope you do better then the last bunch I tested." He pressed a few more buttons, then held his finger over a final key. "You have One hour and Thirty minutes, starting... now!" He pressed the button, and the test began.

Darr-Rann Opened his box of samples and got to work. He started to type onto the small keypad that rested in front of the screen. It displayed instructions. "PLEASE INSERT SAMPLE IN STANDARD TYPE CONTAINMENT TUBE, THEN TYPE 'TEST' TO CONTINUE."He took out the first tube and inserted it into the reader.  The screen changed its display.  "READING... READ. YOU MAY NOW REMOVE THE SAMPLE FROM THE READER." Darr-Rann did so quickly. "PLEASE ENTER OBSERVATION NOTES" Darr-Rann examined it, entering all information he could think of to describe the sample. The computer took a moment to load and then presented a list of possibilities. Darr-Rann sighed. He thought that a bit of testing would be more exiting.

He continued to analyze samples, the process was long and boring. "Sample 14..." He took the sample and placed it into the analyzer, working to figure out what it could be. "I hate chemistry..." He muttered to himself as he worked further on the sample.

Time had passed just as slowly as before, but the end seemed to be in site. Quickly he analyzed the majority of the samples, and it looked like that he would finish with full marks (assuming he got every one right). He looked around at the others, who were also hard at work. Returning to his samples, he continued the repetitive process.

Shortly after he finished the clock reached zero. "Times up!" The Instructor said, looking up from his computer screen. The Analysis computers shut off automatically, and Darr-Rann heard the frustrated groans of some of the students who had not yet finished. He pressed a few buttons and their marks popped up on the screen. Darr-Rann sighed with relief. "98%" His read.  "Now!" Get out your datapads again. "You can see that this process takes a long time. Lets review some of the substances you checked. Darr-Rann read it through. "So I was right about the Water, that was fairly simple... Oh dammit, I thought that was Bacta, but it was the Rylca variant..." The Instructor started to lecture again. "The most common mistakes were similar substances such as Bacta and Rylca. Now lets go into review how to find more specifically what they are." He went about explaining how to find small differences in substances and then he gestured to a smaller set of boxes. "These contain some of those samples in which people make mistakes. Although you will gain no additional marks from it, I would like you to redo those samples." Everyone walked forwards to collect the boxes. Darr-Rann started the process again. He looked at the information on the sample presented to him. "Is this Rylca or Bacta... Rylca."  He took down the notes and continued to the next sample. Finally, he finished his samples. "Your dismissed!" Instructor Samuel stated. Everyone got up out of their seats and left. Darr-Rann said goodbye to his friends, hurrying to catch the LAATI that would bring him to the party the squad was having.

Comments: I am going to request that you make this story longer. Good start, I like the fact that you weaved a bit of casual conversation into the story too. However, I would like to see more along the lines of what you did to pass the course. I compared this one to your other story, and your other one was quite better I'm afraid. If you have any questions, come see me on IRC.

Story one
Field Fortifications

"Aproaches:
Approaching enemies on the ground, is
most likely by watercourses and  roads. It is very difficult to judge when
soldiers will take the road, soldiers may want to avoid it purposefully with the risk of an ambush, but it is still one
of the fastest way to gain ground over days"

Hellra groaned, who needs to know what fortification is? She sighed and got up from her comfortable spot on the bed. Her hand pressed the deactivation button. The droid's fluent voice softened out. Hellra had the urge of punching something. She resisted remembering the second of glee it was to destroy G7 and the hours she spent repairing him.
Hellra opened her bedside cabinet to get something eat. A small sugary thing wouldn't hurt. Her hands grazed over the broken alarm parts. Damn, how is she going to explain this one? She can't repair it like she normally does after destroying an alarm since she can't see, and explaining she threw it.... well that might have some consequences.

She cursed silently at her bandages that covered her eyes. Since Killhouse she hasn't been able to see.
"Why I ever started wearing glasses, is beyond wondering" Hellra mused.
She felt her way around the room to the door, silently she opened it. It seems not silent enough.
"L.C.P.L Hellra. You. Are. Suppose. To. Take. G.7.B with. You"
Hellra groaned at the room's assisting bot.
"Why I ever fixed you is another question"
Hellra plopped her self back on her bed. She was given extra time studying for her Demo and fort. Since she was blind. She flipped the button that activates the droid to read the data out and slumped back on her bed. The droid's mechanical voice only drew her into sleep.

Hellra woke hours later with a jolt. She could hear droid G7's normally silent wheels rounding as he neared her. Her hearing senses improved a lot since she lost her sight.
"One. Meseage. L.C.P.L Hellra."
Hellra sighed as G7 played the message.
"LCPL Hellra, please report to my office, from your squad leader Sergeant TK"
Hellra sighed again.
"What the hell does he want?" she grumbled, angered to get up.

Hellra walked through the halls in long strides. The small droid leading her were going haywire. He was trying to point out each individual's height, age etc. She scowled. Her usually expressionless face was contorted in a deep frown.
She just got back from another 'special team meeting' she and ASL Yillis has to escort the new trooper Splinter-Cell. She stopped in front of the door she thought where the examination will take place. As usual she only knew her work half way.

She opened the door with her usual knock.
A strong female voice greeted her.
"PFC Hellra?"
"LCPL Hellra" corrected Hellra her.
"Your sheets--"
"Ya I know, I haven't filled my tracking sheets in again as usual, and I am having rather difficulties seeing," said Hellra.
Hellra heard the shuffling of datapads, paper and other various objects.
A sharp intake of breath indicated the woman was about to speak again.

"Oh, yes. Injury from your last training& please be seated, I am going to ask question and you will answer it" the voice were professional yet kind with a twang of pity in it;. Hellra grumbled inwardly at this.

Her droid who were miraculously silent, lead her to a chair in front of a desk. She took her seat and waited expectantly for the questions to start raining.
"Well, lets get this started, only provide answers for my question"
Hellra braced her self for the first question nervously.
"What is the definition of fortification?"
She relaxed. This was an easy question.
"It is what the armed force can make most of by it surrounding terrain to enhance its defences"
Hellra dropped her shoulders; to be relaxed was the best way to be prepared sometimes.
"Name the two different types of fortification:
Hellra was silent for a second before she answered
"Natural and Artificial fortifications"
"What is Natural and Artificial fortification?"

"Natural fortification, is woods, marshes, watercourses, and any other natural recourse that could be used for fortification&" Minutes stretched in eternity by. They handled topics that stretched from ditches and trenches to bomb proof fortifications.

Questions upon question came down on Hellra, she answered without ease. Though she struggled several times. Most of the answers were logical questions. As long as she gave a professional answer it would at least looked like she studied.

After about thirty or more of these question the examiner shut her book.
Hellra looked up surprised, she was expecting more.
"Time for demolitions" said the examiner. Hellra heard her dragging a book over desk, the soft metal cover scraping over the table. She sighed as the more questions came.

"What is your general idea of demolitions?"
Hellra looked up yet again surprised. Though she couldn't see, the examiner was smiling slightly before she answered.
"Part of the test, is to test your logic, and also, you didn't study as you should have"

Hellra frowned, interested at the turn of events.
"So, what is your general sum up of demolitions?"
Hellra took a big breath

"Demolishing is ways and means of breaking forts And other buildings down to the ground with explosives and bombs. It is used several times to destroy enemy fortification in weakening their defences...um...um. ya, I know there is more, just hold a sec" Hellra paused to think.
What was am I missing? Her thoughts were jumbling around from one spot to the other. A few minutes passed, Hellra could feel the impatience radiating from the examiner. Although it couldn't be seen uder the bandages covering her eyes, her face was frowned, she squeezed her eyes as she answer silently praying it was correct.
"Ah, ya, also it can be sued to destroy old fortifications to build new ones."
Hellra continued to explain for a few more minutes till at last she ran out of thoughts&

Silnece passed for a few minutes. Hellra cleared her throat. The examiner looked up irritated.
"Go to the next room for practical practise, it on your left as you walk"
Hellra thanked her and walked out. Hellra was still amazed at all the sounds that filled the halls. Now that she couldn't see, saw more of her surroundings by ear. She continued to the next room.

"It is not important to know how to build fortifications, but also where to do it, what type of fort to build in which conditions at what approximate stability it has to last.
The same goes for demolitions"

Hellra boredly to the instructor. Yet again more logical crap. A guilty feeling coursed though her. She should be thankful they were making special arrangements for her to pass.

She pushed her distracted thoughts away, when she heard the man's voice being directed to her.

"Hellra, we have a simulator that acts on your brainwaves enabling you to see. In a few minutes you will be able to take your practical exam"
There was silence as the man paused, only the soft humming of the active simulators could be heard.
"You will literally experience the weather conditions, the terrain etc." he continued. Hellra nodded excited.

Soon afterwards she found her self-sitting in a round sphere-like object, she could feel something heavy covering the upper half of her head. Some tubes and monitoring devices were also connected to her.

Blackness overwhelming her thoughts.
Soon afterwards she gained focus of her surroundings, her eyes still closed though, she shuddered. Instinctively she opened her eyes, but quickly shut it again at the unexpected light and sight that she was blessed with suddenly. Slowly she opened her eyes again.

She was lying in a tent on a small bunk. She could hear small explosions from a distance. It sounded like she was in the middle of a war or battle.
She noticed the dark brown material the tent was made of& wait material? Since when did the Stormtrooper corps use tents?
Her question was soon answered as the tent flap opened. It bought a chilly wind in. She shuddered again.

"Hellra, you are awake at last, we need your confirmation about..."
he trailed off.

Hellra looked at him confused. She gazed at everything around her. Everything looked so old and ancient& then it her. Sometimes, a trooper has to adapt to what he is given to survve, and wouldn't be able to rely conctantly on the comfort of his inventories.
"Yes, let me just get refreshed up" she answered to the man. He wore a weird uniform. It wasn't like normal armour. It was shining, and he was holding a weird helmet in his hand and at his waist hung a sword sheathed in some hard brown looking material decorated with golden threads.
Hellra groaned, now she knew why they had to study the different races and the historical culture.

After a few minutes she existed the tent. There was a blazing storm around her, people were screaming over the howling wind, while snow flecks fell from above.
A few tents stood around her, small walls of snow were surrounding them.

Hellra studied the ancient and primitive maps that lay in front her. She ordered out commands, and pointed faults and weaknesses. It seems she had to organise the plans of a war that was raging in a region not from her.

"We will have to improve these snow wall, they may help camouflaging us, but its not protecting us"
said Hellra as she studied her surrounding in details, she quickly ordered them to dug around the wall for traps and ditches while she led out a scout team, to search for boulders or any for of hard rock they can use.
Hellra returned her tent hours later, stiff and tired. This exam was testing her limits and it seems, she was long past her limit. She went to the outer rim of enemy camps, looking for faults in their camps, however she was spotted and had to leave her riding creature behind. She struggled to find her way back to the base for a few hours.

A few hours passed, Hellra was resting in her tent when she got a rude awakening.
Helra, Hellra!"
Hellra jolted out of the tent to the source of the voice. She froze for a second, a bloodied soldier was standing in front f her, He was leaning on another soldier.
"We won, but the fight drained us of our forces, I received word that another enemy is approaching us as we speak"
Hellra glanced worriedly around her.
We couldn't possibly&suddenly the soldier in front of her started blurring. She squinted her eyes to see him better, but to no avail. Minutes later she woke up in blackness again.

"Well done Hellra, you didn't do to bad, your exam results will be sent to your room in a few hours"

Hellra was pacing up and down in her room. She was a nervous wreck. Today she will receive her results Hellra thought back of her experience in the simulator. She scathed her head; The bandage was making her itch. She was still blind in this world. She guessed why they always also gave them a practical test was also for character and leadership developing. A knock interrupted her thoughts.

"Your results are here," said a voice from behind the door.

Thin line, but failed. There's no need to redo from scratch, just add more simu

Comments: at the start, it's quite good, but became confusing later on. Do fix the typo and grammar error.

Allright, it seems you've changed the story a bit since Dez read it over. I'm going to pass you, but keep in mind: this places you on the other side of the "thin line" dez was talking about. The Grammar is still very poor, but the story is less confusing (to me at least). Good work.

MEDIC TRAINING STORY #3
HUMANOID BIOLOGY
BY DARR-RANN

The following takes place during the story "The Calm before the Storm" between the leave and Arrive back of the Lancer squad members during post #9

The alarm clock beeped annoyingly as the time reached 5AM. Darr-Rann groaned and got out of bed. Rubbing his eyes, he got up and got dressed. "Y7." he addressed the Astromech droid that rested against the wall. Beeping, it rolled forwards. "Go grab my breakfast, I got to do some stuff here before I go to Biology class. The Astromech rolled away, leaving him to his datapad. "Hmm..." He said. " Lets see what messages I got." He browsed the files, deleting spam and searching for important messages. Suddenly something caught his eye.  A email from someone important. A email he had been hoping to never receive. As he read, memories came flooding back to him...

It was shortly after the raid on the police station in Coronet. The members of the Anti-Republic Resistance were meeting to discuss their losses in the battle. A tall woman with blonde hair walked up to the front of the room. Her name was Sarah, and she had become the new leader of the group as the old one was slain in the combat. She looked at the group, and then adressed them.  "We have suffered many losses in the battle, but we must move on." She paused for a moment and continued. "We were close to victory, and we have to continue. For all of those who have fallen..." She suddenly sobbed and ran outside. Darr-Rann left the crowd to the balcony of the skyscraper were she stood crying. He walked over to her and took her in his arms. "I know its hard. Keith wasn't just your brother, he was my best friend." He looked over at the balcony at the buildings beyond. "He would want us to keep fighting, even without him." She sniffed and cleaned the tears from her eyes. "I know..." she looked down at the ring on her finger. It was two months ago that her and Darr-Rann had become engaged. She sighed. "We better get back in... " they started to walk back towards were the others were gathered. Suddenly they heard the sound of a large vehicle coming their way Sarah's eyes widened. "Look out, she screamed, pushing Darr-Rann to the side. Blaster fire ripped through the space were they were standing, cutting her down. Darr-Rann ran to her, Tears in his eyes. She had been killed quickly, getting directly hit in the torso. He was suddenly filled with a great rage. Pulling out His blaster rifle, He ripped fire out at the transport, Screaming as he did. The others quickly came to defense, also drawing their weapons as well. The last thing he heard was what he thought was her voice in his head. "Duck!" He ducked down just in time for the missile to miss him, crashing into the ground behind him,  throwing him over the ledge and carrying him to a nearby bridge that connected the building to another. His worries quickly left him with his Consciousness, but the last thing he saw was the Transport landing on the burned up tower. Out walked a man, His friend and ally in the Resistance. Jad Cedaan walked among the bodies and laughed. They had been betrayed.

Darr-Rann turned off the datapad. He cleared his head of the painful memories as his R2 unit returned. A tray of breakfast was mounted in front of it. "Thanks." He said, accepting the tray, he started to eat. Picking up a biology book in one hand, he started to read about cell structure and how it varies in common humanoid species. He closed the book as he heard the beep of the door. "Come in." he said, putting away his notes and putting his breakfast in the disposal bin. Tal walked in. "Hey Darr, after class we're going for a ride on our speeder bikes. Wanna bring your swoop and join in?" Darr-Rann shrugged. "Sure, why not. Just as long as I get back in time for our little squad meetings that TK is putting us through. They laughed and left to go to their biology class

They arrived to find that Instructor Samuel was early, instead of late, that day.  They walked in and took their seats with Jeff and Jessica. "I hope its not as boring as the last lesson he taught us." Jeff commented as they prepared their stuff. Darr-Rann looked over at the boxes that rested on the tables. "Something tells me we're going to get to do something more then notes." He said, turning on his Datapad and opening his notes.

Twenty minutes later the class was underway. The instructor explained the notes he displayed on the Holo-Projector. "The cell has many small parts that make it function. The most important of which is the Nucleus, the control center of the cell." He continued to discuss the different parts. "There is the Ribosomes, and the Golgi body. There is even a living organism inside the cells called the Midichlorian, but the knowledge of exactly what it is and does is restricted by the DJO." As he continued to explain notes for a few hours, and people eventually started to talk out of boredom. "So many notes..." Tal said, trying to shake off sleep. Jessica looked at the clock. "The class isn't even half over yet..." They turned back to the Instructor and got to work again.

"Well, thats enough notes for now." Instructor Samuel said, noting the sighs of relief coming from his students. Now, you are going to use the scanners in this box to take a close look at cells." Each student went to the front of the room and took a box. "Now, simply put the sample in the slot here, and press the button here..." He went about explaining the operation of the devices. "Alright, I want some detailed notes on those cells!" The class got started.

Darr-Rann put in the first cell, labeled "Human". He activated the Scanner and set it to a zoom level were he could see the cell's outside. He quickly copied down notes on it's shape, size, and appearance. He then zoomed in further for more observation. Time passed quickly, as this training was much less boring then the notes. Darr-Rann was on his third sample when he heard Jeff swear. "What is it?" He inquired. "This damn thing is broken!" He pressed a multitude of buttons in hope of turning it back on. Darr-Rann looked at it and laughed. "Here's your problem!" He put the fallen power cell back into the back of the scanner. Jeff laughed and went back to work. "Thanks." Darr-Rann went back to his own machine, picking out a new sample and placing it inside.

Near the end of the class, Darr-Rann had nearly completed his work. "God dammit." He heard Tal said as he tried to force a sample into the Scanner. "Hey, stop!" Darr-Rann said. "Just turn it slightly when you put it in." He returned to his samples. He wrote down the notes on the samples, trying to finish before the projected time. 20 minutes.... 14 minutes... 9 minute... 3 minutes... He finally finished. Looking up at the time, he sighed with relief. "56 seconds remaining." He noted. When the time ran out, everyone got up and packed their stuff. Instructor Samuel called down to him. "Lance Corporal Darr-Rann, please come here." He turned to his friends. "I'll be out soon." He walked down to were the instructor was seated. "I saw how you helped those other two students. That was a very good thing to do, sacrificing some of your time to help others. I'm going to report of your good behavior." He waved him off. "That is all, now go have fun with your friends." Darr-Rann walked outside were the others were waiting. "Alright, lets get our speeders and go!" Tal said. Darr-Rann walked over to the Vehicle parking and brought out his swoop. Turning it on so it floated, he got on and he and his friends sped off at high speeds. Tal looked over at Darr-Rann. They were the only two people with Swoops, and they had a clear speed advantage. As they crossed the area that they designated the finish, they looked back. "Seems we lost them. Common, lets go back and see were they are." They drove on the course, seeing Jessica and Jeff's bikes parked on the trail. "Were did they go..." Darr-Rann thought. Suddenly they heard the sound of blaster fire and Jess' scream. "Holy shi..." Tal said, and they ran down to were they heard the shot. Darr-Rann's eyes widened as he saw Jessica's lying down on the ground. Nearby the could see Jeff in tears. "He killed her!" He cried out. "Jess is dead!" Darr-Rann walked over to him slowly, eyes wide with shock. "Who, who killed her?" Jeff looked up, his eyes full of tears. "He said his name was Cedaan."

Comments:
Very good. I noticed you're trying to fit in a side-story to this, good work. Once more, please leave out the squad and time refrences. These first stories should take place around the time you immediately joined your squad. I can explain it in further detail if you catch me on IRC.

Story 2: Explosives deployment.

Hellra stared lazily at the building in front of her. It seemed old and ancient littered with the years, and of previous generation's training.
"We are supposed to bring that down?" she looked at her instructor curiously.
"Well, this is not your real test yet" he replied. A few seconds passed in which Hellra stole to study the lands around them.
Barely reaching twenty meters, the building seemed small compared to the city; the area around it was battered and bruised. The sunbeams that slipped through the clutches of the tightly knitted clouds seemed to lighten it designated spots. Hellra's hair stirred as a breeze picked up. It was a dry wind filled with nothing but empty promises of rain and a bitter cold.

"Den you go first" Den looked up nervously. He grinned slightly and stepped forward.
"You are going to plant one explosive and then return, mind where you plant it, if it is planted in the wrong place, the training fails for everyone, also you have five minutes" said the training instructor.
Den's smile faltered. He took the explosives from its small pile, heaped on the ground.

Helra inspected her view further. Things really looked different without her glasses.
It was peaceful even if the wind was yapping at her face, and rushing all creatures into hiding. It was nature. How long she stood there she didn't know, but someone tapped her on her shoulder. She spun around her fist ready.
"Whoa, chill man" said Den.
Den's comment seemed to draw the instructor's curiosity.

"Hellra, since I can obviously see you were much more inspired by this beautiful surrounding rather then my lecture, I will explain especially for you since I now have your undivided attention" said the instructor sarcastic with good humour.

Hellra blushed, her ears turned red, it didn't do much for her face, as her face was already a rosy colour of the cold. She mumbled something shifting her feet nervously at being in the spot light.
"You fellow class mates planted explosives inside the building at certain points, you have to choose the best spot to plant one, and hope it succeeds in bringing down the building, you have to make sure you connected it correctly, now off you go"

Hellra trudged over the rocky and bare landscape with a rhythmic pace. She jumped ever so often over gaps that opened in the ground. She grasped her explosives tightly in her hands as she studied the building; it was resting on four pillars that stretched over a meter. The front of the building was resting a once magnificent white-now grey staircase.
Hellra ducked under the stairs. She crouched to have a look around. She smiled relieved to see no explosives were planted here yet. She taped the explosive in the centre of the stair attaching it firmly to the bottom of it. She checked the timing as she connected the wiring. She frowned, and seemed to be thinking of something, she quickly stole a glance to the timer on her wrist. One minute thirty seconds left.
With the wires connected, Hellra started fiddling with the controls, and settings of the explosive. Without even making sure it was correct she darted away from the building as fast she could go.

She gasped for breath and water. Her instructor looked at her, his eyebrows lifted.  She grabbed the water bottle from her backpack and gulped it as fast as she could down. The instructor looked at her disapprovingly. He shook his head.

"Hellra, you took ten seconds past the limit. You lose thirty percent as penalty"
Hellra merely nodded.
"Now, time to see what you guys did, when I press the activation button on this detonator, the explosives you planted will go off in ten seconds" continued the instructor with a stern expression.
The students waited tensely as he pressed the detonator. Hellra could hear the seconds tick by in her head. When it hit eight seconds the first explosive went off&

followed by four other explosions two seconds later.
Silence stretched as the dust settled. Hellra fumbled her fingers nervously.

"Who configured their settings?" asked the instructor with a silent yet deafening tone.
"Hellra still fumbling stepped forward from where she stood at her dust covered backpack.
"Why?" he demanded.
"I wanted to test something Sir," she answered.
"Enlighten us," he demanded again.
"I thought that if the stairs was destroyed before the building was destroyed it would tip the building, and not have it merely give way. I just wanted to test my theory as I saw that the building relies very heavily on the stairs. It has a weak point there actually, with the triangular bulks tha---" Hellra was cut short, she silenced immediately as he held up his hand.

"No bad Hellra, didn't expect that sharpness from you," commented the instructor suddenly impressed although he putted and emphasis on 'that'.
He turned towards the rest of the class.
"Sometimes we want to tip the building to a particular side instead of just destroying it, by removing one of it supportive points, it immediately weakens the stability of the building in that point" said the instructor, he dusted his uniform.

"You guys should get to the exams tomorrow, and by the way, this was your exam" he turned around to pack up his things when Hellra confronted him.
"You told us it was training!"
"Hellra, exams is also training, and what difference would there have been except that you would all be a nervous jumble?" he asked.
Hellra bit her tongue to refrain from making a smart-ass comment. He was right though, she shook her head, and gazed a last time at the nature in front of her. It lost its beauty as the building collapse disturbed it unnaturally.

"So, what happened after you left home?" asked Emi excited.
Hellra groaned, she tried to escape from Emi's clutches, but Emi knew her well enough to keep her from doing so.
"Oh, no Hell, you stay in this room till we are finished," ordered Emi, Hellra meekly obeyed, she knew how persuasive Emi could be sometimes and how angry she could get.
"Well, I ran away from home as you noticed" started Hellra.
"No duh" answered Emi sarcastic.
Hellra scowled as she continued.
"I became a racer for three years, in that three years I learned to street race and fight, then I joined VE after an accident" Emi stared Hellra suspicious.
"You are hiding something Hell, what is it?" her voice was dangerously low
Hellra glanced at anything that could save her; the time on her digital clock caught her eyes,
"Merde!" she cursed.
"Emi, I have to go, exams in a few minutes!" exclaimed Hellra out relieved, she got away with a decent excuse.
"Fine, good luck, I was thinking of starting a medic by the way" Hellra's eyes widened in surprise.
"Medic...whoa, most people don't choose medic, good luck with that too" Emi nodded, she gave Hellra another death hug. Hellra rolled her eyes in annoyance.

Hellra laughed at the questions that they were asked, she knew them without even studding, maybe it was her small time in Lancer Squad that taught her so much.
They asking question about different grenades and what their uses were, and why it couldn't be used on buildings, bridges and etc. She struggled a bit with her exam when they started asking question about the different bridges you get, since the style varies from rope bridges to the historical bridges, the frames and stone used to build one, what stone should be used to build, and how can it be destroyed in three different methods of planting explosives.

"Did you know the answer to question three? Point. Five?" asked some student her friend as they passed. Hellra blocked these sounds as she walked back to her room. She will receive her results in an hour, so no stress.
With a soft hiss the door opened, her soft footsteps filled the room, but ended shortly as she threw her self on her bunk. She lay there for a while just staring to the ceiling when a knock interrupted her thoughts.

"My results?" she asked jumping from her bead excited.
The man nodded, he handed her the paper with the results, while Hellra read it excited, he studied her.
After a while she noticed him still standing there.
"What?" she asked rudely and annoyed.
"You seem familiar" he commented.
"I do, well that's nice, but would you kindlt leave me alone?"

The man nodded his head, and swiftly walked from the room.
A few minutes later the door opened again, followed with Emi's laughter. Since their one roommate moved to another room, Emi was sharing rooms with her.
"So it went Hell?" she asked.
"Passed, seventy percent," muttered Hellra an answer.

Intresting take on things. Nice to see you added a bit of a side story in. You pass.

      Heavy Weapons Training course 1

          Class 1: Learning the basics

            PFC Splinter_Seal

    Beep! Beep! Beep!
Tye's alarm went off noisily, as he struggled just to turn it off. He reached to the button, and missed. "Freakin' alarm!" he yelled to it. He slammed his fist on the alarm, and broke it. He always had a short temper and the alarm didn't help. "Oh well." He said sarcastically to himself and fell back to sleep.

    -7 minutes later-

"Oh, crap!" He awoke, realizing that today was the day he was going to go his first lesson of Heavy weapons training. He got up hurriedly and threw his alarm into the trash with the other two he recently broke. The first thing he did was put on his jumpsuit that was jet black with a white Imperial insignia on the back. He went to his bathroom where he looked into the mirror to fix his messy hair.
He looked into his own red eyes. It brought back memories of his childhood of being made fun of, because of he simply looked different. He got in a lot of fights, which is how got a scar down his right eye.  Everyone except his mom and dad avoided him in his young years. He thought if anyone would avoid him during class. He put aside those thoughts and got ready for is first lesson.
He stopped by a storage unit and got a new alarm. He hurriedly ran back to his room and put it on his table. "I can't afford to lose another one of these." he thought to himself. He took out a hologram projector of the building to find out where his class was. He took it out every once and awhile to check if he was going the right way. He soon found his way to it.
Tye was the fourth person there. He ducked down his head to make sure noone could see his eyes. He quickly found a spot in the back. All the other students were looking at their datapads to get a head start in the class. One by one, the troops made their way to their seats. Many were talking to each other, bragging about their skill with an E-11 Carbine. Tye knew they wouldn't get far in this class, because the guns their going to use were way more powerful than the E-11.
Suddenly, the Instructor entered the room. All the students rose and stood up straight. He was tall, bulky and probably in his early fifties, Tye estimated. His hair was brown except the gray hair every now and then. "Hello troops. My name is Instructor Sir. You will only call me Instructor Sir and if any one of you piss me off there will be extreme consequences!" He yelled, which seemed to be his normal voice. "Am I clear?!"
"Yes, Instructor Sir!" the class yelled in unison.
"Now, all of you take out your datapads, we're going to learn to use, HMG's, thermal detonators, and a few more. First, we're going to learn the parts of an HMG, the assembly, and how to repair it. Don't worry about the repairing part you aren't goin' to become a mechanic.
"Okay. Now these are the parts of the HMG." There were parts under the desks that everyone took out. "Look on your datapads and follow the steps to assemble it. Don't worry if it goes off, these only shoot hololasers."
Tye then looked at the datapad. "Insert the handle with the base piece." said a voice coming from the datapad. A few minutes later Tye finished. "Now press the engage button on the side." Tye pressed the button and the gun turned on.
Tye was the first done. "Good job soldier! What is your name?" said the Instructor.
"PFC Tye Lask." He answered. "Callsign Splinter Seal. Splinter didn't like the attention. "Well done." the Instructor said. A few troops nearby noticed his red eyes. All the others quickly finished.
"Normally, these would have tripods, but we obviously don't have enough room." said the Instructor after everyone was done. "Now, disassemble your HMG's and put them back under your seats." Everyone tried to do it fast, so the class could be over with.
After everyone was done, the datapads showed a thermal detonator. "Everyone look at your datapads. We will briefly go over thermal detonators. You all have different codes, because you're all in different squads. After pressing in the code, you have five seconds to get rid of it. The blast radius is five to eight meters, but the explosion is very powerful. It could easily take out one piloted ship or a speeder. It can kill anyone in the blast, so try to throw it far.
"Now, I hope you troops remembered what I just taught. Go suit up into your uniforms we're goin' to the thermal detonator practice field and the HMG practice field. Get back here in fifteen minutes. Don't be late."
All of the students got up and left the room slowly, but then started to get to their rooms as fast as possible if fear of being late. Splinter took out his holoprojector of the building. Another student from his class, stopped to look at it too. "This building is too big for me. I get lost all of the time." said the student.
"I know what you mean." replied Splinter.
"There's where my room is." said the troop pointing to a part of the hologram. "Thanks for letting me use it." He said running to get to his room.
Splinter jogged and took out his holoprojector every once and a while to see where he was. When he finally got to his room, he went to his closet and got out his suit. When he finished putting it on, he rushed back to the class. He was finally memorizing the halls.
Splinter was one of the first there. The last few were very late and the Instructor didn't like it. "Drop down troops!" yelled the Instructor. "I want you two to do forty! No stopping! If you all take me as a joke, maybe we should all drop down. Should we soldiers?"
"No, sir!" yelled the class in unison. They were slightly tired from rushing back to the class, because their barracks were not very close to the class.
Soon, the troops were done and the class lined up. They walked to the hangar, with the Instructor in the lead. "Can't wait 'til we get to the range." whispered an exited young troop.
"I can't believe you in this class." said Splinter to himself. The young soldier was short and skinny. He didn't look very strong and was very jumpy.
There was a large transport ship that they all loaded into. As the ship was taking off the Instructor yelled to the troops: "I hope you boys like to rip things apart, because you're gonna see a lot of it!" Splinter got exited, he loves to destroy things.

Level 3: Construction
Story 1: bridging and rigging

It seemed like the typical day to lounge around, as the merry rays of the sun baked down on the prosperous planet of Tadath. With no wind to rustle the leaves, and not even a cloud in the sky the weather seemed perfect. Caverns and canyons provided a cool shade to it's inhabitants. Even the mourning dew that usually dropped from the leaves in the late mourning seemed to hasten early not to be caught in the oncoming heat wave.

"GO!"
Birds flew away in fright at the loud sounds that suddenly disrupted the peace. Blasts could be heard from afar. Some troopers were being taught the basics of shooting a rifle while other were doing fitness exercises of all sorts.
A girl with shoulder length dark blonde hair held back by a black bandanna was waiting impatiently, her feet tapping against the ground. Her face was dirty with all the dust layers it covered. Sweat trickles made their path through the thin dust, a hand wiped it away, smearing the dirt in long swipes across her face. She looked around uncomfortable and hot in her training outfit, seems her classmates were suffering the same thing.
"Hellra, you first. Seems you have to much energy to cope with today" called and good hearted man out. The girl responded to her name by looking up and then following the direction of his finger to something behind him.
Hellra braced her self for the course in front of her. She was stood at the ledge; gazing at what she had to do. Seems she had to cross a bridge of some sort over water, what didn't make sense to her was, why there were ropes hanging above the bridge&

"Can I start, sir?" she inquired politely yet impatient. He nodded. Hellra smirked; this course was way to easy, might as well show the new recruits what a trooper is made off. Hellra glanced to her right; a few recruits were standing there looking in awe at her group. In the whole training area her group was the highest-level class there, naturally attracting attention with their orderly lines, and backpacks accompanied with rifles.

Hellra sprinted forward to cross the sic meter bridge. As she crossed the first meter she could feel how unstable the bridge was although it showed otherwise, yet again she should never be fooled by looks. Instead of taking it slowing Hellra broke in a sprint jump like in attempt to trudge it as lightly as possible. But it seems her luck was otherwise, at the three meter check point, she felt the bridge gave way, instinctively she grabbed for the ropes she saw earlier. She felt something brush through her slender fingers. She grasped it firmly. It stopped her fall, Hellra hung for a few minutes before she felt the rope ripping higher above her head. Her eyes widened in surprise, she swung quickly to another rope, to avoid clinging to her current one before it tears.

The same happened with her next rope, Hellra swung from one rope to another in desperate attempt to cross to the other side, but she found her self-splashing in the cool water. As the water-cooled her body, it didn't help cooling her embarrassed face that turned red. Blushingly Helra trudged out of the water, her uniform clinging to her body uncomfortably. Inside her pride took a blow remembering how she wanted to show off in front of the recruits.

"What happened here?" asked the instructor towards his class, ignoring the recruits who were snickering at Hellra.
The instructor didn't wait for an answer, and continued.
"Never cross a bridge no matter how sturdy it looks, test it out by throwing rocks on it or walking across tied to a rope, the same goes for the ropes" Hellra's thoughts got distracted by the droids who currently in the process of repairing the bridge she walked on. She wanted to kick her self, she always quoted 'Always expect the unexpected'
She snorted inwardly.

"You are dismissed!" Hellra glanced up bewildered. She tugged one of her classmates hard.
"Den what must we do?" she whispered hastily scared of what her instructor's comment will be on her lax attitude.
"Research ways to enforce bridges, practical exam tomorrow,. Also go through your rigging notes," he answered.
Hellra asked no further questions instead she thanked him, and went on her way.

Hellra was humming a soft tune to herself as she studied. Having taken a shower, eating some refreshed her up mightily. Her fingers were pressed in her ears, blocking or trying to block any sounds that might disturb her. She cursed, as it didn't seem to work. Not soon after her com. Wristwatch went off, a familiar voice sounded through her room.
"Hell, up for a spar?"
"Nah, not today Darr, I am studying fir my exam tomorrow" answered Hellra her fellow Lancer and friend back. The COM link between them died, Hellra sighed and plugged her ears with fingers again, trying to start up her studying.

Next mourning
-----------------

"So, I have to build a sturdy bridge with the given materials to pass?" asked Hellra to be sure. Her instructor nodded. Without a second look for assurance Hellra jumped to work. She had to build a one-meter long bridge with wood; some quarter circle pipes mostly, nails, ropes, six poles and two long cables.
She jumped in a hole dug in the fresh ground. Her body came half way in if she stood straight. She firmly planted two poles across each other in the width.

Hellra wiped the sweat from her head. The skeleton of her bridge were forming, three poles were standing in line with each other, the middle one being the longest above the ground, opposite of them stood similar poles, their lengths in the same fashion. The quarter circle pipes mostly. were resting in the ground, the upper half upholding the walking area that consisted of wood.

A few more hours passed, the sun sunk low, barely visible, Hellra didn t notice this, as lights were turned on gently. She dusted her hands and looked in pride at her bridge. The quarter circle pipes supported it mostly. But ropes and cables that were fastened to the poles upheld the top.
Hellra called the instructor over.
He studied her structure for a few minutes in silence.
"To fancy" he commented, Hellra gaped at him surprise.
"I worked a whole day on that Sir!" she exclaimed.
"Exactly, you have to make one in a hour when you are out there" the instructor replied. He walked over to the bridge and started crossing it. He stepped to the middle of it and jumped on it, making the wood strain under his weight. Hellra watched tensely as the ropes and cables seemed to drill like musical springs.
"Not bad, but try and make it faster next time, which is tomorrow" Hellra said nothing realising he was right.
"Well, at least I tried"

Next day
----------

"So what do we have here Hellra?" Hellra looked in pride at her new bridge.
In front of them were a bridge held up by ropes on two opposing trees. Triangular beams supported the walking area on the end of each end. it pressuring into the sides of the small cliff. The other end of the bridge crossed the small gap and went over the ledge on the other side. The two ropes that held it upright were fastened in the exact middle balancing the two halves of the bridge.

"Excellent work Hellra, but we will have to test you some time also in making bridges for larger objects and creatures for example and vehicle, but I think that will fell under construction skills" said the instructor. Hellra beamed with happiness. She had to rebuild her bridge, but at least she learned something of it.

"Anything else Sir?" she asked.
"No, you are dismissed" said the instructor.

                    PFC Splinter Seal
            Lesson 1: Cover tactics
                    Story 1: Fire Support Tactics

As the ship was flying, Splinter looked around the ship. It was just a bunch of men in white uniform. Most of them were about the same height of around 6'3''. Splinter looked towards the cockpit were the Instructor, had his own personal seat, while the other trainees' just sat on a long bench on each side. The transport was small and didn't seem to be very well built.
"Hey, are you the one who put together the HRB (Heavy Repeating Blaster) the fastest in class?" asked the the troop to Splinter's right.
"Yeah. What's your name?" responded Splinter in the muffled voice the Stormtrooper helmet made. The soldier took off his helmet.
"Hi, I'm Raek." said the troop reaching out his hand. Splinter took of his helmet as well and extended his hand.
"You can just call me Splinter." It was as if Raek didn't even notice his red eyes. Splinter was sure there would be some sort of strange reaction.
"All right girls, where almost to the course. Put your helmets back on and grab a LMG at your side!" yelled the Instructor suddenly. Splinter was so busy talking to Raek that he didn't even notice the other trainees' had taken off their helmets and were socializing. So, he did as instructed and took the large laser rifle at his side. He thought that only
Sandtroopers used these LMG's on Tatooine. The barrel was what stuck out from the gun. It was large and not very long. "Now apply the straps to the guns and prepare for the landing!" yelled out the Instructor again.
All of a sudden, there was a heavy shaking and the ship suddenly hit the ground, sending all of the troops and their guns flying.

        --3 minutes later--

All the trainees' gathered their weapons and were lined up to have the Instructor give orders. "I knew this ship was a piece of crap." said Raek as he and Splinter were  gathering their guns.
"That's exactly what I was thinking as we were flying." Splinter responded. "It seemed a little shaky the whole time." They talked about the ship until they lined up with the rest of the group. As the Instructor walked towards the bunch of trainees', they straightened their backs and put their LMG's perfectly at their sides. "The ship took minor
damages and can be repaired. In the mean time we can start our training exercise." said the Instructor as he was pacing back and forth in front of the soldiers. "We are going to practice cover and support tactics in this field!" He pointed to a field with tall grass and ditches that varied in sizes through out the field. It was like a very large hall with trees on each side and metal boxes that were placed every twenty yards that seemed to be holoprojectors. The day was hot, but in the Stormtrooper suit's it was unnoticeable.
"You will have to cover your troops and work together to reach the end of the ditches where crates are stacked. Your objective is to destroy the crates with the thermal detonators you have on the left side of your utility belt's. On the right side of your utility belt's, there are detonators that create holographic explosions and are harmless to the human body. The same for your LMG's, they make holographic lasers which should used to take out your enemies that will be images. If in the event one of you soldiers get shot or exploded, your suit will shock you slightly and you will return back here. Also, you all can see the Heavy Repeating Blasters set out on the field you can use them, once you put them together, all there is to do is place the main gun on the tripod. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes, sir." yelled the class in unison.
    "Start...NOW!"
The holograms came to life and the troops ran to the ditches. Two troops followed Splinter and Raef. "You two follow me and Raef to the next ditch." commanded Splinter. They nodded their heads. As they all got up there was lasers flying through the air. Splinter, Raef, and the other trainee ran and dove to the next ditch. While, the troop that was following Splinter ran to the ditch and Splinter watched him get hit square in the chest. He flew back on the ground and had a slight seizure, because his suit shocked him slightly.
This gave Splinter a taste of real combat. He has never really been in combat before, but he was not scared. "Okay, Raef you run ahead, we'll provide cover fire."
Splinter was getting used to giving commands now. "Let me throw a detonator in the ditch first, I think there is a group in there." Raef got ready to run. Splinter pulled out a detonator and threw it perfectly in the ditch ahead. BOOM! Three holograms of Rebels flew ten feet in the air. "Go!Go!" yelled Splinter as he put his gun on the top of the ditch , so he could aim easier. He and the other troop shot their large blaster rifles past Raef as he was running. Splinter managed to hit a Rebel in the head.
"I'll go now." said the trainee next to Splinter.
"Okay. GO! Covering fire!" After Raef heard 'Covering Fire!' He started to shoot to. The troop managed to get to the next ditch unharmed. Raef kept firing, so Splinter ran to the trench. "Here is a HRB." said the other troop taking pieces of a gun to Raef and Splinter. "Attach it to the tripod." After the gun was put together, the troop manned it and fired at a small group of Rebels and took them out easily.
Splinter looked up a little to view the battle. His fellow classmates were getting severely pinned down by the opposing forces. "Hey, you." Splinter said to the troop on the HRB. "Help out the troops over there." The large gun turned to the right. It shot a couple times and some soldiers were able to move up. "Give us cover fire." commanded Splinter again. Right when Raef was about to get up the trooper on the HRB got shot in the leg, chest, and head. He fell to the ground and was shocked.
"We will have to go together." said Raef. "On three....One..Two...Three!" Splinter and Raef ran to the next trench. Lasers flew past them from every direction. "Keep running!" yelled Splinter over the noise as they jumped over the trench in front of them. There was an explosion right in front of them. It wasn't close enough to hurt them, so they used it for cover. Then, they jumped through the smoke and into a ditch. Splinter looked up to see if any enemies where close by. More lasers zipped past his head. He saw a Rebel running towards him and they shot at the same time. The Rebel fell right into the trench with Splinter and Raek. The Rebel did, though, managed to skim Splinter's shoulder which caused him to fall backwards.
    "Are you alright?" asked Raek.
"Yeah, it just skimmed my shoulder." replied Splinter. The Rebel hologram disappeared.
"I can't see in these damn helmets." said Raef as he was taking it off.
"Me neither." They both took them off and looked around. The crates were two ditches away. On each side of the crates there were Rebels on their own HRB's. "I have a plan," started Splinter. "If we can attack the left HRB, we could take out the one the right, because it's distracted by our troops."
"Okay." responded Raek. They snuck down the trench to get a better angle. The Rebel was looking the other way and that is when Splinter and Raef charged. They ran toward him, firing. Splinter tripped into the trench closest to the HRB. The Rebel shot at Raef and hit him all over. He fell down and was shocked unconscious. The Rebel stopped firing, so Splinter assumed that the Rebel thought he shot him. Splinter looked up carefully. He pulled out a detonator and threw it at the Rebel. It exploded and the Rebel was sent into the air with his HRB. Splinter charged up to the crates and the other HRB-man didn't see him, so he took out the real thermal detonator and typed in the code. He lightly threw it into the middle of the crates and he ran to the nearest trench and dove in... BOOM!! The crates flew in the air and hit the Rebel and his HRB. The other troops stood up and shouted in victory. Splinter looked back and saw many of his fellow trainee's on the ground. The holoprojector turned off and what looked to be real, disappeared. The troops on the ground shook their heads and got up.
    "Did we win?" asked Raek.
    "Yeah, we did." answered Splinter.
The troops gathered their things and hustled back to the Instructor. "Well done
soldiers. We should give our thanks to this young troop," said the Instructor. "With his determination and leadership he has defeated the enemy. Now, that we have finished this course we can finish this lesson on cover tactics. The day isn't over, and if you thought this was hard. You're going to have a long day!"

{good luck Rizzit, I dunno why this one is long, I know my specs are not the greatest, but I hope this will be a improvent, I worked on this for at least four hours or three hours&"

Level 3: Construction
-Repairing defenses
Story 2: construction skills

Hellra's face was frowned as an officer walked passes her. Her whole posture was bought in a crisp salute. She waited impatiently for the officer to pass before she relaxed to her usual stance. She scowled at the itch that irritated her between her shoulder blades beneath her stormtrooper armour as she started walking in her designated direction.

She walked pass her old office where she spent her days as Platoon adjutant. Hell she was barely a few weeks PA, and she didn't do much work even. But with her new platoon commander, TJ, she is relieved of her PA position. She didn't know if she should be relieved, or embarrassed, embarrassed for thinking she could do it, when she didn't even have the necessary skills or qualifications for it.

Hellra tried to push these thoughts aside, the itch on her back forgotten as well.
She looked up alarmed as a loud thunder vibrated through the area even penetrating the sound proof windows. She crossed the wide hall to the window. Blustery winds were picking up, and those few troopers who were outside quickly scrambled back inside the building.

She sighed warily, this was her most favourite type of weather, and she wasn't even feeling happy with it.
"Hi, Hell, class is about to start you know" interrupted a voice her distracted mind. She looked up to the smiling Den. His perfect set of teeth broadened in a smile.
"Yeah, guess so" she muttered and joined him on their way.
"So, what is your full name?" she asked trying to make a conversation as they walked to the class.
"Dennis Vayien, and yours?"
"Hellen Le Clerique&how old are you?"
"Hmm, about twenty or nineteen, I guess" answered Den truthfully. He laughed at Hellra's confused face.
"My earliest memory is joining the army, I don't know anything about my past, except my name, and the only way I knew my name was because it was engraved on a name plate, pinned on my clothes"
"Why don't you try to find out who you are?" asked Hellra.
"Why, maybe I am better off not knowing" answered Den, they halted in front of a door.
"Okay, well good luck with your class," said Hellra, as her hand grazed over the activation pad.
"Same, to you Hell" he said, disappearing through the narrow doorway. She followed him shortly.

She took her usual seat at the back of the classroom in the left corner. Students were murmuring quietly among each other waiting for their lecturer who hasn't arrived yet. Hellra scoffed at the windowless room. She liked to look through windows, maybe that is why the room didn't have any, to keep the students focused on their work.

"Welcome to level three, repairing defences construction skills" stated a loud booming voice. A large man stepped through the doorway, he had trimmed moustache, and his neck as thick as Hellra's head. He slammed his bag on the desk, creating a small crater in the cheap wood.
The students who sat in front carefully tried to move their seats backwards unnoticed obviously scared of this lecturer.
"I am Sergeant Carl, your new lecturer" he said through clenched teeth as if he was forced against his will here. He started walking fast and quickly through the many rows of seats, with each step he took he spoke a word.

"I do not tolerate fools, and I do not tolerate average students, trooper what did I just SAY!" he slammed both his hands on the desk of a student, creating once again some damage, making the student look up in fright. He smirked at the evident fear on the student's face and walked back to his slightly damaged desk.

"I want each and every one of you to write an essay of what you think you will learn in level three, and what there is to learn" ordered Giant as Hellra nicknamed him to the class.

*Much Later*

"So, how was class today?"
Hellra looked at her best friend's usually chirpy face.
"It was okay I guess, we only did an essay"
Emi snorted, and snickered.
"Aw, you had to write an essay just like you did back when you were ten years old" she taunted Helllra.
"Yeah, I guess, pretty useless though"
Hellra shook her head at Emi's antics, since Emi joined the VEA things have been much more interesting then it was. She and Emi were practically sisters.
"Hmm, when is the last time you had something to eat?" asked Emi thoughtfully.
"Why?" asked Hellra confused at Emi's question of her eating habits.
"Come on, I have known you since diapers, you have a knack for skipping meals to caught up in your own little word to remember that you need food" said Emi, as she grabbed Hellra's hand and dragged her towards the café.

*Next day*

"Could the following people please report to my desk now?" thundered Giant's voice through the silent classroom.
"Dennis Vayien, Hellen Le clerique, Evan Wak" Giant droned another few names out before he stopped and looked at the people who haven't been called.
"The rest are all dismissed"
Steel scraped against the tiled floor and feet shuffled on the floor as the students left. Giant stared at the handful of students in front of him.
"You passed the essays, I will read you essays out loud for you" he said pleasantly startling Hellra.
"What is with his new attitude?" she wondered to her self.
"We will start with Hellra's essay&" he paused for a second to search her face before he continued reading her essay out loud.

"Level three is about repairing defences such as field fortifications that failed to with held the attack, failed to withstand the weather, or that wasn't build strong enough in general. The repairs can be applied naturally, or artificial. Natural resources includes woods, boulders and ETC Usually these repairs can only hold temporarily since a fortification had to have a strong structure from the beginning. Artificial repairs can be the following: durasteel, enforced plastic, ropes, and beams. Natural repairs are usually the best to use since they provide a much more natural look, adding more camouflage as well, while artificial repairs is much more stronger"

Hellra looked up to see what Giant would say, but he didn't say anything as he instead started reading the next essays as well.

*Twenty minutes later*

"The objective of this simulator, work together in a group, and survive&good luck, you have one hour to survive before the sim ends. You have to find a way to repair the fort that will serve as your base," said Giant, as he adjusted a buttons and switched on the computer.
Hellra opened her mouth to ask a question, but quickly shut it as the scenery around them changed. The polished floor became rough sand, and the walls turned in a battle scene. Hellra coughed at the strong smell of blood that suddenly penetrated her senses.

They didn't do anything for a few minutes except observe. To their left stood the fort they had to repair if damaged.
"Come on guys, we will only get killed here" said Hellra starting to sprint through the mass of troopers that were fighting each other. Before they even reached their fort, a massive blast missed them heading direct for the fort.
"shi-"
They were thrown backwards as the shock waves of the blast bounced back as it hit and ripped a part of the wall from the fort apart.
Hellra was lying on her back, a dull pain aching in her shoulder. She propped her self up on her elbows.
"Merde!" she cursed.
"Come on Hell, enough lounging around," said Den extending his hand towards her to help up.

"Okay, so what is the damage?" she asked as they stepped through the hole that was just created.
"A lot" snorted Den as he tried calculating what exactly they had to do.
"Hmm, the whole is simply to big to repair" muttered Hellra. She took ker helmet off to breathe properly. The other's followed her example.
"Lets just start and see what there is to work with" suggested Den.
Nobody said anything and spread out through the building to find materials that were left lying around that could help them.
They met each other back at the open gap.
"Okay, we have some explosives, ropes and&and nothing else" counted Hellra.

"We need to get rid of the gap with these materials?" asked Evan in disbelief.
"Yes, and I have an idea that just might work" said Hellra happily. She looked at their faces, most were already smudged with sweat and dirt, and Hellra had the feeling she didn't look any better.
"We blow the roof up, the debris and rubble of ceiling, will fill this gap, and yes I know it will leave a gap in the roof, but it better than having a gap this size in the side" she suggested.
"But that will make the fort smaller." protested Evan.
"Any other idea?" Hellra raised her eyebrows in his direction.
"Well, why don't we just fill it with rubble that's lying around in the battle field?" suggested Evan.
"Hello&there is troopers dying, well virtual troopers dying at the moment, it will take to much time, and we have to fill a gap, one meter wide, and on and a half meter long, and do you know how heavy the stuff is we will carry?" argued Hellra.
"I vote for Hellra's idea," said Den.
"Same here" murmured the others. Seeing as the majority voted for Hellra's suggestion Evan nodded in agreement.
"Well, let get working then!" shouted Hellra.
"Evan, set this pair of explosives about one meter inwards, try to find some crack, a spot that is already weakened by the blasts" ordered Hellra as she stuffed explosives in Evan's hands. She turned towards Den.
"Den, you will have to go a floor up and set the explosives there, the ceiling will need pressure from both sides" Den just grabbed the explosives and sprinted up the stairs that were at the back of the damaged room.
She pointed to the remaining two guys&
"Boys, lets move the rubble here to the whole and start filling it, the roof might not be enough" they all quickly started moving boulders and rubble to the gap. Evan joined them after he set his own explosives.

"Okay guys, get up the stairs, this might get ugly!" called Den from above. The small group rushed up the stairs. Hellra stopped at Den's side that was standing as far as possible from the planted explosives. The wind rushed in her face mixed with the sound of screams and machines that were fighting not far away.
"We should get somewhere safe where we wouldn't be also included in this explosion" shouted Den over the blasts that have neared the fort.
"Evan, you still have that ropes?" asked Hellra to Evan, he held his hand up, strangled with the ropes.
"Good, guys helmets on, we going to get to the ground, then Den can activate the detonator," ordered Hellra, she quickly pushed her helmet over her head, and grabbed the rope from Evan.
"Den, help me tighten this" asked Hellra for help.Den quickly helped her tighten the ropes and then they both rushed the rest to the ground.

Den landed with a thump at her side, his army boots sinking in the soft sands, leaving a clear imprint on the ground.
"Ready guys? Asked Den, his hands ready to push the button.
"Yup" replied Hellra happily that the mission was almost on it end, they still had another five minutes left of the sim anyway.
Den pressed the activation button with a click, that was soon followed by an loud explosion.

Hellra's eyes were squeezed tight, with her fingers in her ears.
Some poked her on her shoulder, dazed she looked up, and they were back with Sergeant Giant. He was making notes on a reply he recorded from the sim.
Shortly afterward, he turned to them clearing his throat.
"Well done people, seems you have brain after all, you didn't repair it as I would have liked you to do, but it was creative thinking you did there Hellra" Hellra nodded.

"So, do we pass?" asked Hellra impatiently. Her fingers tapping one the helmet she held in her right hand.
"You will receive your results later" barked the sergeant back to his old self.

Comments: Congratulations! You passed! While there are still gramatical errors, and the word to comnet error still shows: it does show that you put time and effort into this story. It also seems apparent that you know what you're talking about. Good work. Oh, please keep your ID Line in the post in the future. Thanks!

To pass to the next level you must demonstrate capability of your current skills in a squad/chapter story subject to review by platoon staff on top of completing the required specialty stories.

What do the mean to pass the next level?
Does it mean, not only are my specs judged, but also my story posts in the squad story?

Also, it is very ironical what you said: this is the only spec i have written so far, with no research...hehe...

Vehicle Crewman
Story 1: Vehicle Operator

Yillis was already up and reading some Lancer information when his alarm finally went off. Ah, finally. This is what you get for being an early riser. He got up and pushed his chair in, grabbed his jacket and headed out the door. The instructions said to go to the hanger. That's outside and to right, I think. Yillis arrived at the hanger door, and opened it, to the sight of 2nd Lieutenant Fletcher. The 2nd Lieutenant informed Yillis that this was to be a on one on lesson, as were the remaining lessons, and that there would be no need for formalities. Good, cause i know I would forget that.

"Now Yillis, it seems you were training to be a com tech before this. What happened to that?"

"Well it didn't feel right, and I felt like being a vehicle crewman so I could help lancer just that bit more."

"Well I hope this decision wasn't just for Lancer, you got to keep some independency, but we're getting off topic. Time to start the training, if you'd follow me."

The two men walked around a corner in the hanger to a LAAT/i. I still love those ships, I wonder how old this one is, and it's got enough battle scars for me to guess it was in the Battle of Geonisis.

"We don't get much for training, pretty much what everyone else won't take, but it still runs, you know?"

"Yeah."

Yillis and Fletcher walked up into the LAAT/I and Yillis sat down in the pilot chair and thought to himself. Hmm, I'll be able to take my LAAT/I out for spins after this. I wonder what I can get this baby up to, before it completly falls apart.

"Ok, we're going to go over all the controls first"

"You're the boss."

"Ok well this obviously is the control stick, and that is the&&"

----15 minutes later----

"Ok those are the driving controls; I'll be doing navigation because that's tomorrow, think you got it?"

I hope I got it...

"Yes sir."

"What did I tell you about that sir stuff?"

"My bad"

"Ok start it up"

Yillis hit the ignition button and the LAAT/i engines begin to whine as they started up. Holy, this thing IS old. Yillis gave the engines a bit of warm-up time.

"Ok that's good, now ease her up"

Yillis pulled the control stick towards himself, and the nose of the LAAT/I started to rise off the ground.

"Compensate, compensate."

Yillis hit the button for replusorlift activation and the whole LAAT/I rose a few feet in the air.

"Ok ease her out of the hanger and we'll take her for a spin above the forest, then to some weapons stuff."

"Yeehaw!"

Yillis hit the throttle to full and the LAAT/I launched out of the hanger, Yillis hitting the control stick forward just in time to narrowly escape ripping the roof completely off the LAAT/i. Whoa, almost made this thing a open roofed air speeder. Prolly would have had to pay for it too.

---25 minutes later---

"Good, you're a natural."

"Not really, I've been flying since I was a kid; my parents were rich so they bought me all kinds of stuff."

"Nice. Ok I just got a little more stuff to show you, like weapons."

"Guns, sweet."

"Riiiiiiiight, maybe this wasn't such a good idea."

Yillis and Fletcher both broke out in laughter, "Ok well the weapons are like this&..

---5 minutes later---

"That's right. Now aim at that tree right over there and blow it to shreds."

"Sure."

Yillis grabbed the weapon controls and aimed at the trees. Here goes nothing. He pulled the trigger and two laser cannons erupted, beams shooting out toward the tree, and hitting it square on. The tree melted to a stumb almost instantly, making all the leaves and blanchs catch fire and make a nice display. Awww, pretty....I need to shoot some mroe stuff...

"Good Shot!"

"Thanks."

"Ok well we're done for today, though we are probably gonna take some more practise shots tomorrow. We really didn't get enough in today. take her home."

Yillis hit the throttle to full again and speeded into the hanger. After lowering the LAAT/I onto it's landing gear, Yillis shut off the engine.

Fletcher got up and spoke to Yillis, "You were great out there, I like your flying style. Tomorrow same time?"

"Sure things, and thanks."

Yillis left the hanger and walked towards the Lancer barracks. That was amazing, Hes a  great teacher. These lessons are gonna go fast. Yillis got to his room and started reading up about past vehicle crewmen. Before he could finish the first page, he got up and went out to his own LAAT/I and took off over the forest.

Comments: I still think that there's too much talking going on, but it's definately an improvement. I'll pass you this time, but try and watch it in your next story.

Humanoid Pathology
Medic Spec Story #4
By Darr-Rann
||==========================================================================||

Darr-Rann sat reading over his datapad, reviewing his medical notes and getting ready for the day ahead. A familiar beeping sounded out as R2-Y7 rolled over to him, breakfast tray held out. "Thanks." Darr-Rann said, eating some egg. Darr-Rann had only left his room for Breakfast once or twice, and R2 brining in his morning meal had become regular.
"Hey, R2, I have a hologram projection here on my datapad, could you play this for me?" he asked the astromech. Beeping, the droid came closer and plugged into the Datapad. Suddenly the image of an old friend came up.
"Hey Darr-Rann." The image of 'Demonic' said, the pilot appearing before him in the hologram. "I'm going out to battle today, the squadrons going to ambush a Rebel Convoy." Darr-Rann smiled. It hadn't been long since he recruited his friend Kal to the Vast Empire, and the Pilot was already involved in a multi-squadron mission. After a little line saying goodbye, the hologram disappeared.R2-Y7 beeped, turning it's half-sphere head towards the clock. "Oh, yeah, class today." He set aside his half-finished breakfast and started to get ready for the day ahead.

Darr-Rann walked down the Hallway, spotting some familiar people ahead. It had been a long time since Darr-Rann had seen Tal and Jeff, the last time having been at Jess' funeral...
"Hello guys." He said, approaching them. "Hey Darr-Rann." Tal said, smiling at the site of his friend. "How have you been lately?" Darr-Rann asked them, curious of their activities
"Well, our squad has been doing a few small missions, nothing serious. How about you?"
"Well, we haven't done any missions since the Killhouse, but I've been made the Element Leader of Lancer." Darr-Rann suddenly felt a rush of guilt at his last comment. He had taken the position from a friend, and even if she was okay with it, it still made him feel like a bad person.
"Who is our instructor today?" Darr-Rann asked, trying to take his mind off it.
"Instructor..." Jeff, scavenged through his notes for a few moments.
"Tenj." he said, Finally finding it.
"Tenj?" Darr-Rann asked
"Tenj." Tal Confirmed.
"That name is familiar..." Darr-Rann noted to himself. He turned to see a tall man walking down the hall, his Dark hair about the same length as Darr-Rann's. He seemed to be in his thirties, fairly young for a Medical Instructor.
"Well, lets get this started." the man said, unlocking the classroom door and walking in.

"Well, as all of you who bothered to study before class know..." He looked around the class, scanning for the guilty expressions of those who didn't. "Humanoid Pathology class is about the Symptoms, Causes, and Treatments of Diseases in Humanoid species." He walked over to his computer, pressing a few keys. "Okay, who can tell me a way a Disease can be contracted?" Tal put up his hand. The instructor nodded, and he gave his answered.
"By making physical contact with a diseased being?"
"Right. That is a common way many of us think of. Anyone else?"
Darr-Rann raised his hand this time, and Tenj nodded in approval.
"By consuming a substance that carries the disease?"
Darr-Rann could swear he saw a smirk cross Tenj's face, and he nodded. "Yes, some diseases actually originate in the remains of creatures, such as the rare 'Mind Fang.' disease.
Darr-Rann nearly jumped out his seat. How could he possibly know? he thought to himself. "Alright, Lets go over some common causes of diseases..."

"Okay, twenty minute break, I don't want to see any of you late." Everyone but Darr-Rann headed for the door. "Ah... Rannik Cedaan." Tenj said, approaching him now that the others had left. "Or should I call you Darr-Rann? The Dark Rannik title suites you well, but we know who the real betrayer of the family is."
"Tenj." Darr-Rann said, "I was sure I knew you."
"How could you not? Your brother was a great adversary of mine, before I 'Retired' from the Corellia Authority and took up a simpler life teaching medical skills."
He walked around the room, continuing to speak.
"I saw how you reacted when I mentioned the Mind Fang disease. You surely knew of your brothers foolish actions."
Tenj sat down at his desk and started to type something into his computer.
"Go to your break, you still have about fifteen minutes left."
"By the way." He said as Darr-Rann was about to exit. "Your other teachers say you do well in class, I'm going to be expecting a similar performance."
Darr-Rann left, seeking his friends.

Darr-Rann wasn't sure what to think of the situation. Tenj was his brothers enemy, so he didn't know how to feel about the situation. He saw his friends hanging out by a vending machine, and decided to put it aside and talk to them.
"So, this teacher seems like a good guy." Tal said to Darr-Rann as he approached.
"Yeah." said, Nodding in agreement.
Luckily for Darr-Rann, Tal changed the subject.
"So, how is it being a EL?"
Darr-Rann laughed. "It's fun to have a bit of command, but it takes work too."
"Lancer is the only squad to call with EL's, everyone else has Firing team Captains, why is that?"
Darr-Rann thought for a moment. "It's probably because our squad is organized slightly different, to reflect the Nature of our squad." he said, looking at the time.
"Well, We might as well get back, we don't want to be late."

When they had taken their seats, class began again. "Okay, we've gone over some ways diseases can be Contracted, now lets talk about Symptoms of diseases. He walked over and pressed a few keys on his computer, and A holo-projection came up.
"Here is a list of common diseases and their symptoms." he said, gesturing to the information shown." He thought to himself for a moment.
"Okay, hurry up and copy that down, I have a little test for you."

Once everyone was ready, he pressed a few more keys and the Projection changed. "Okay, this won't be your 'test' for say. That will come later in the day. This is a just a little evaluation." He gestured towards the projection
"These are some diseases, not labeled. Listed are their symptoms. I want you to identify these diseases." he said, pressing a key to start a timer.
"Three... two... one... go!"
Everyone quickly went to work.

Darr-Rann sat at his datapad, trying to piece together what this difficult disease could be.
"Some of the symptoms make sense, but some of these symptoms..." He reviewed over his notes. "Oh...Yeah, that one." He typed the answer into his datapad and continued to try to identify them. When he had  finished, he submitted his results and waited for time to run out.
Tenj looked at his computer, then smiled. "Good, I have some good work from you guys."
Pressing a few more keys, the holo-projection switched to "TEST".
"Okay, You have one hour and thirty minutes... Go!"

Darr-Rann walked out of the classroom, talking to his friends. "How did you do?"
Tal sighed. "I think I probably failed that one." Jeff had a similar expression on his face.
"I think I did well." Darr-Rann said, not quite sure of that himself. "Well, no point of worrying about it now. Anyone up for a game of Sabaac?"

Allright, the squad refrences are getting out of hand. Please stop. Other than that, I give it a B seeing as how you requested a grade. You really seem to know your stuff.

Pharmacology
Medic Spec. Story #4
by Darr-Rann
||==========================================================================||

Darr-Rann swung his electrostaff, spinning it around at a rapid pace. Closing his eyes, he imagined his enemies, parrying and attacking, reviewing in his mind his training and experiences. It had been a long time since he had used Cedaan-Ryu, and only started again recently, but already he was re-reaching the proficiency he was held before he had stopped. Suddenly he heard a voice ring out in his head.
"Pity you never learned as much as I had."
Darr-Rann span around to face Jad Cedaan, standing at the sidelines of the empty training room. "Bastard!" Darr-Rann cried out, swinging his staff around and brining it down on his brother's head. Or it would have, if he had actually been standing there. The staff crashed down through the chair, splintering it and putting a small hole in the floor.
"I must be training too hard." he said, walking over to the locker room.

Darr-Rann sat down at the Table, eating his lunch and talking to his friends. "It's good to have a few days off..." he said, taking a bite out of his sandwich.
"I thought you were already on a break from mission?"
Darr-Rann laughed at this. "But the difference is I don't need to spend it being lectured on RATEL."
They all laughed, and then Tal pulled out a sabaac deck. "Anyone up for a game?"
Darr-Rann looked around the table. "Well, we're pretty much done lunch, so we might as well have it in the lounge." He said, getting up from the table.

They sat down at the lounge table, Tal shuffling the cards. As they dealt, A woman seemingly in her early twenties, walked over to the table. "Do you guys mind if I join in?" Darr-Rann stared at her for a few moments, forgetting everything that was happening around him as he looked at this woman, breath-taken by her beauty. Luckily for him she was facing Jeff at the moment, and she did not see this. Tal did though, and had to stop himself from laughing.
"Sure, no problem Dawn." Jeff said.
Talon collected the cards, shuffled again, and re-dealt them.
Jeff motioned over to Darr-Rann. "Dawn, this is Lance Corporal Darr-Rann of Lancer Squad, one of our fellow medics. Darr-Rann, this is Dawn, our squad's Splicer." He said,
looking at his hand.
"Pleased to meet you, Dawn." Darr-Rann said.
"You too, Darr-Rann." She said, sending him a smile that just made him feel more nervous.

As they played, Darr-Rann and Dawn gave their stories of how they came to the Vast Empire. "So, after I was caught Splicing into Vast Imperial networks, they decided I would be more useful on their side then dead, so they hired me, and here I am today." she said.
Jeff looked at the time and got up from the table. "Well, Time to get to class." He said, Packing up his things.
"See you later." Darr-Rann said to Dawn.
"Later." She said, smiling at him again.

When they were on their way, Tal looked at Darr-Rann and laughed.
"What?" Darr-Rann said in response.
"Just thinking about the look on your face when Jeff said we had to go." he said, still chuckling to himself.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Nothing, its just you didn't seem to be too focused on the game."
"What?" Darr-Rann said
"Nothing..." Tal responded, seemingly amused by the situation.

"Welcome to Pharmacology!" said Instructor Tyan't, Looking around the classroom. "It's good to see you all again back in my class, I hope to see the good students continue the impress me and the lesser ones to do better." He walked over to his computer as he said this, brining up notes.

"As you should know, Pharmacology is the study of drugs and their effects. You will learn about the medicines you will be using on the battlefield and their proper usage." He said as they took down notes. "You will learn more about common healing medicines such as Bacta and Rylca, stimpills, and even the powerful Interrogation drugs."

He pressed a few keys on his computer then continued. "There is Five types of Medical Drugs, Basic Medications which consist of things such as Pain-killers and Bacta, Specialty drugs that are designed for treating specific problems, Vaccines, Interrogation drugs such as Skirtopanol, and the more friendly Herbal medicines that don't see a wide use these days." He continued to describe a variety of Drugs, making sure the students took notes.

"Okay, I think that is enough notes for now, Time for a mini-test to see how you guys are understanding all of this." He said, uploading the test onto their Datapads with a few keystrokes.  Darr-Rann read it over, reviewing the questions in his head, then he went about answering them.

Darr-Rann pressed confirm and waited for the test to end. When everyone was done, Tyan't dismissed them. "I want to see you back here in an hour for the second half of the class. They picked up their stuff and left.

Darr-Rann and his friends stood by a vending machine, chatting about the first half of the class. "I think that this has been one of our best yet." Darr-Rann said.
"Yeah." Tal agreed, and Jeff nodded too.
"Maybe we should head down to the lounge." Darr-Rann suggested.
"You just want to see if Dawn is there." Tal said, smirking. He laughed to see that Darr-Rann's face had turned red. Jeff joined in but Darr-Rann found a way to change the subject.
"It's about time we get back to class." He said, Relieved to have gotten away from the conversation.

"Alright, now that you've we've discussed Pharmacology enough, it's time to test you guys. You have two hours, get ready... write!" Tyan't said, and with that the test got under way.
