(OOC I hope this is ok. Didn't quite know what you were looking for. )

What a place. Doesn't look quite as big from far away as it does now. This thing is huge. Those were the thoughts of Ridley "Hunter" Vandate as the shuttle containing him and other new recruits approached the Atrus. Once the shuttle had settled in the hanger, the new pilots were told to exit. As Hunter stepped out, a man said, "Welcome to your main home for your stay with the Vast Empire."

Hunter turned his right mechanical eye to look at the man more closely. The greeter was wearing a black uniform and was holding a datapad, where it looked like he was checking off names. Hunter quickly tried to move to the other side of the line so the man wouldn't ask for his name and hopefull pass by unnoticed. He did. Hunter stepped back into the line that led to the back of the transport. About five minutes later, Hunter was walking across the hanger with three bags. They either held equipment, asigned flightsuits and normal clothes, nick-nacks, and other, more unconvential items.

As he walked across the hanger, Hunter watched pilots, technicians, and engineers attend to their daily chores. He also looked up at the rows of tie-fighters and tie-advanced. He zoomed in his right eye for a closer look. I can't wait to fly one of the real ones. Sims just don't compare. As Hunter was about to leave the hanger he heard a voice from behind him calling out, "Ridley Vandate? Ridley Vandate?" The man seemed to be searching for him.

"Isn't that you?" Another new arrival asked next to Hunter.

"Did you say something recruit?" The man who had been calling out a moment ago asked, as he approached them. Great. Hunter thought.

"Um..yeah. I thought this guy was Ridley. Aren't you?"

"Yes. I am." Hunter answered, turning his dark eye toward the squeeler. THe man flinched at the cold, lifeless stare and started back on his way. Hunter turned to the other man and asked, "Is there something you needed, sir?"

"Why of course. For one thing you didn't sign in when you arrived, and second I thought you would have realised you would be escorted to your room. Anyways, good thing I found you. Now follow me." The man finished and proceeded to exit the hanger. Hunter followed thinking Good thing for who? Hunter looked the man over. He was in a his standard uniform but also wore an E-11 at his side. As the man led Hunter through The Atrus toward Hunter's room, he pointed out specific rooms. He showed Hunter the lounge, a simulator room, a briefing room, and many other things. They finally arrived at Hunter's room thirteen minutes later.

"Did you take the long way around or something?" HUnter enquired.

"Yes, infact, I did," the man returned. "Here is your room. You will find all you really need in there. You should also know that your room door has a sensor in it, so we will always know if you have left your room. Just a security precuation. It shouldn't bother you. Plus your computer terminal has only bee given minimal access. I will leave you know. You should report to your direct superiors later today. I'll see you in the halls." With that the man turned around and marched back the way they had come from.

Well that was abrupt. I guess I should see what the living conditions will be like. It can't be worse than a holding cell. Hunter opened the door, stepped inside, closed the door, and took a look around. This is actually quite nice. The room held a bed to the left of where Hunter stood, with a desk next to it on the opposite side of the room from the door. On the right side of the room was a closet and refresher unit. Off to his emediate right, Hunter saw a dresser. Hunter then decided to unpack. He pulled his three bags over to his bed and placed them on top. He unzipped the smallest of the three bags and started to pull out a few odd ends he had collected and other personal items, like pictures, books, datapads, and other excessories. After he had pulled everything out of that bag, Hunter moved on to the next.

Inside it were all of his assigned dress uniforms, pilot clothes, and flight suits. Hunter carefully pulled them out, so he wouldn't wrinkle them, and placed them inside the closet. His regular clothes were also crammed inside of the largest of the three bags. He took these clothes out and either put them in the remaining space in the closet or the dressor.

Once he had finished with that bag, Hunter moved on to the last one. Inside was all of his personal equipment. It held the ussual things like his helmet, an E-11 blaster, a light pistol, a couple more datapads, and other things you would expect to find with a pilot. But that was only half of the bag. Lifting a flap, Hunter reached into a concealed area. I don't know why I bothered to hide this stuff. It isn't like they're going to search me. They know what I am. Inside the concealed area of the bag were the tools of a slicer. It held wires, circuit tunnelers, connectors, datapads that held incrypition and de-incryption codes, and other more uncommon tools. Hunter placed these tools in the bottom drawer of the dressor. He also placed all of the datapads at the desk with the computer terminal. Once he was finished unpacking, Hunter rezipped all of the bags and placed them on the floor of the closet. Looking around the room, Hunter decided it looked a lot more welcoming than it had a few minutes ago.

Moving over to his bed, he fell ontop of the covers and decided to take a short nap. Thirty minutes later, Hunter sat up and stretched. Looking over at the computer terminal, Hunter decided to see what the Navy superiors had deemed safe for a slicer to look at. Turning on the computer station, HUnter sat down in the chair and started to look through some files and messages he had already received. After that, Hunter decided to load all of his files on his datapads, the safe ones atleast, onto the terminal. I don't know why they don't trust me now. I am completely loyal to the Vast Empire. If it wasn't for that little stint I did on their archives. Oh well, if it hadn't been for that, I wouldn't be here now, serving one of the strongest and most worthy forces in the galaxy.

(OOC I'll just continue on from the last post. Also, tell me if I messed your character up Chip. I haven't really gotten a chance to read how you write your character. That will come once we get a squadron story going on though.)

The next day, Hunter woke up extremely tired. I have to get used to all the noises a ship can make. Stupid people in halls. Hunter looked at his chronometer and saw that it was almost time to report to his squadron commander:  Warrant Officer 1st Class chipmunk man. He rolled out of bed and walked into his refresher unit. Not big, but it has plenty of room. After three minutes, Hunter stepped back out and changed into one of his uniforms. Picking up a datapad, Hunter left his room. Before he was even halfway down the hall, Hunter stopped. I forgot to pin my insignia on. Hunter ran back to his room, quickly rummaged through all of his things, and found his insignia. Pinning it on as he left the room, Hunter started once again for his previous destination.

After roaming the ship for a ten minutes, Hunter finally found his squadron commanders room. He touched the signal button and waited. "Come in," a voice said from the opposite side of the door. It was a medium sized room, about the normal size of an office. There was a desk at one corner and two chairs infront of it. Sitting at the desk was man of medium stature. He had brown hair and eyes and appeared young for his status. "Welcome. Have a seat," he said. Hunter nodded and sat down in one of the chairs. It was more comfortable than he had expected. "Let me be the first to welcome you to Aegis squadron. This is a newly formed squadron, and becuase of that, a lot of its members are new recruits like yourself. I am glad to see that you have already taken your first aviators exam, and I see that you passed with distinction. Well done. Now because this is a new squadron, there is a lot of room for growth. So, tell me a little bit about yourself. I don't mean the ussual things. I already know all that from the information that was sent to me."

"Well.." Hunter began. "I guess I should tell you that I am a known slicer. And I know you are probably thinking, 'What is a slicer doing as a pilot.' Well, being a slicer is only my second trade. I've been doing for as long as I can remember, but pilotting, that is a whole different ball of wax. It was the first thing that I was actually good at, besides slicing, the first time I tried it. I was told I was a natural. Before I joined the VE I already knew alot about flying, but after I joined, that was when I really developed." Hunter then went on to explain a few of his more personal details of why he likes flying and what he was like in combat. He didn't know why he kept talking, since he rarely opened up to anyone. But he felt like Chipmunk was someone he could trust. After a couple of minutes, Hunter realized he was beginning to rant. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to go on like that."

"Not a problem. I like to know a few things about the people whose hands I am going to be putting my life into once we are in a dogfight. Unfortunately, I have to be going to another meeting. I am quite pleased with your records and I look forward to seeing you in action. Now, if you would excuse me." Chipmunk waited for Hunter to get to his feet and followed him to the door. After they had both exited, Chipmunk locked the door and said, "I'll see you soon." With that, they parted ways.

Well that was interesting. What to do now? Maybe I should go fly a simulation. Hunter started on his way to the simulator room. He made it there in ten minutes and had only gotten lost once. I'm getting better. Stepping through the door, he saw that there were a lot of other pilots in the room. Some watching screens that displayed what people were doing inside their simulators, others just talking, while others just sat around, just enjoying being around other people. Hunter searched the room for an empty simulator and found one in a back corner. Stepping inside, he sat down and started it. The world around him morphed into the cockpit of a tie-fighter. He was sitting in a hanger bay of some ship. Then a signal appeared on his screen telling him to launch.

After he cleared the edge of the bay, Hunter found himself in the middle of a dogfight. Swiring left in order to dodge enemy fire, Hunter turned himself completely around and found himself hovering in the middle of a gigantic space battle from some forgot battle. He also learned that he had just launched from an imperial star destroyer that was being hairied by enemy fighters. Pushing the throttle forward, Hunter launched himself in pursuit of the nearest fighters. Time for some fun.

Jaden laid out on the table, still soaked in bacta.  Everything was still a daze as the medical droids came around him, examining his body and making sure everything was alright.  His legs seemed to be alright as he lifted them into a bent position.  He remembered back to the time when he took the nasty spill off of the water tower on Varonat.  He wondered what had happened to the rest of Nazgul Squadron after he left.  But now he had new authorities and responsibilities, being the Executive Officer of Aegis Squadron.

After the medical examination was finished, Jaden got cleaned up and went to pick up his things from the personal impound.  His flight suit, officer's suit, and a vast array of other things he had with him on the Nazgul mission where given to him.  Jaden called a droid over to take the things that he didn't need to his room.

After getting into his regular clothes, Jaden picked up his datapad and checked the information.  He had 5 new messages.  One from Shazam, One from Jen, One from his new squadron commander, one from Japheth, and one from Jack.  Jaden looked through them making sure that there were no emergencies or anything.

Shazam just wanted to know how he was doing, and Jen was just checking in on him.  Chip had a report of things that Jaden was to do, and Jack was concerned about how he was doing also.  Japheth sent a message on a congratulations for a promotion, and a new position as Executive officer of Aegis Squadron.

Strange glances followed Gemini as she walked through the halls on the Atrus.
Gemini swerved to the right trying to walk as close as she could to the wall, to hide in the shadows.
She turned left at the next corner; the wall was labelled with the section name. She shook her head confused, she still had difficulty reading. Gemini sighed inwards as she walked to the nearest person she could find.

He had blond hair cut military style; she gazed at the room he just came from.
"Sim..simu...flight simulators" for a second pride raised in her for being able to read the sigh that flashed above the room.

She tapped the man on his shoulder; surprised he turned around to her.
He had a scar running over his face, accompanied by and mechanical eye. This however didn't bother Gemini. Being raised in a laboratory she have seen worst and stranger things.
"What is it?' he asked abruptly.
"I am in the navy and  I need to report to the Aegis squad" the man's expressionless face relaxed from it's stern frown.
"Well, welcome to Aegis, I am also in your squad" Gemini's eye widened slightly in surprise.
"Name?"
"Most just call me Hunter" he replied.
"What is your name?" he asked.
"Gemini"
"Oh" Hunter didn't know what to reply, Gemini seemed the like the silent type.
"Here I will walk with you back to the Aegis quarters, I think Chip is still their in the area" Hunter motioned her to follow him.

Their walk was silent as Hunter walked.
"You ever flew a ship?'
"Once"
Hunter raised an eyebrow; Gemini really needs to be more talk active.

{Hunter i hope i portrayed your character correctly, and aslo, sorry for the short chap, but i have to go, this is my shortest story post yet, usually at least a page and a half. hehe}

Jaden sat at his desk pushing papers around.  He was swamped with paperwork.  All of the new recruits coming in, reports of attacks on the Correlian Trade Routes, just near Dubrillion.  Jaden would have to go through every report that the squadron members had sent in.  He was in charge at the moment, of Aegis Squadron.

Chip had been out for a while, but he would resume his position as commander of Aegis Squadron when he returned.  Organization was a big thing for Jaden as he tried to sort out the squadron, and put people where they needed to go.  With him running the entire squadron for the past few weeks, things were getting hectic, and he needed someone to take over the third flight.  The leader was yet to be decided.

After finishing looking through a few more posts, Jaden kicked his legs down from the desk, clean up his clothing a little, and headed down for the cafeteria.  He was starving and hadn't eaten since he night before.  Breakfast would be a great way to start the day of paperwork off.

As he arrived in the cafeteria, the chef gave him a wide eyed look.  It was Lense, Shazam's personal Chef.  Shazam had told Jaden of how good Lense had been able to cook, and Jaden was in the mood for a good breakfast.

"Hey Lense," said Jaden, "Shazam told me to come down here and see if you could whip me something up"

"I sure can," said Lense, in a very cool voice, "Whatta ya want?" he asked

"Well, I need the best thing you got right now.  I got a day full of paperwork ahead of me, with all of these new recruits coming in and what not.  I won't have time to eat lunch, so maybe we should make it a pretty large meal," said Jaden

"Alright.  Give me a half hour, come back, and your brunch will be ready," said Lense.  Jaden dropped a handfull of credits in his tip box as he exited and left back for his office.

Remembering that Fonze hadn't been moved to the office, Jaden went back to storage and found him.  Fonze had never had his memory wiped, and Jaden didn't plan on having anyone do it.  Thats why he kept the droid hidden away.

After bringing Fonze back to the room, Jaden activated him.  Within a few moments, he sprung to life.

"Why, hello Jaden.  Long time no see," said Fonze

"Ah, I know Fonze.  They are trying to wipe your memory from that last few missions we had, but I'm not going to let them.  Do you think you could help me out here with filing all of this paperwork for the new recruits" asked Jaden

"Why, yes I could Sir.  Just give me a few seconds to reprogram my funtions, and I will start immediately," said Fonze

After going back and getting his food, Jaden at the meal in delight.  It was one of the best meals that he had, had, in a long time.  Lense was pleased to fix him the meal, and was also please with the large about of credits he was payed as a tip, besides the cost of the meal.

After arriving back at the room, Fonze had all of the paperwork stacked into piles in organization.  Everything was nice and tidy in the office, and the day of work had began.

"Fonze, go get me something to drink, and an energy stim.  I am going to need all of the energy I can get to survive this day...."

New Day.

Though the Vast Empire had always been a peace haven for Jaden, he was already getting fed up with things that had happened to him lately.  First, he lost the half of an arm in the space ambush in Chapter 8.

Second, He lost both of his legs from the knees down in Varonat.  It had affected his own being, turning him into something that he had sworn never to become.  Bitterly Evil.

Blaming himself for all that had happened, Jaden took it upon himself to make sure that he wouldn't let the same thing happen to him again.  A new plan, something that wouldn't fail.

But most of the time, it failed.  Which forced him to rethink his planning.

If there was even the slightest chance that the plan would fail, it would be trashed.

Jaden had now adapted to the fact that he could really trust no one.  Not even his friends in the Vast Empire.  He would let them know hat he trusted them, but on the inside, he felt hatred towards all who threatened his being.

Simulation missions were not enough for him.  He needed to relive the former glory that he had felt in Nazgul.  Aegis wasn't a challenge for him, but soon enough, it would be.  It would be a challenge for everyone to come.

New recruits would be put under the heaviest training they have ever experienced.  A new breed of pilots.  Super pilots.  They would train in simulations, then in real flight with some one that new the ropes of surviving.  Jaden's once best friend.  Ben Godel.

He had recently been rescued single handedly off the planet of Panna where he was heald prisoner for 7 years in the Rebellion strongholds.  Out of spite and revenge, Jaden flew into the establishment and rescued his friend.  The last time they had met, was just outside of the Altzoc 3 airspace barrier.  Thats where he was taken captive.

After being in fatal condition from the rescue, Jaden had taken full responsibility for anything that had, and would happen to him.  If it was his fault, he would admit it.  If he knew someone else had screwed up, he would lay the blame on them harder than ever before.

_______

Jaden had filed the paperwork the day before.  One of the hardest days of work since he had been in the Vast Empire Navy.

Everything was now going to change.

Jaden grabbed his tools and walked back into his office.  His loyal droid, Fonze, followed him right in.  It was time for a memory wipe.

He drug the Protocol Droid into the darkest corner of the room, and wiped his entire memory within an hour.  He then sold the droid to a local marketman, who would need it more than he.

People around the offices on the ship, and even his own squadron mates had started to notice it.  But they had all taken to the change, and had adapted for the better of themselves.  They started to follow direct order, and their flight skills were starting to improve.  Soon enough they would fall out of the early nickname they were all labled.  Rookies.

The paperwork started to diminish as Jaden's command greatenend over the people around him.  Most people started to stray away from him, which he didn't mind at all.  It was probably the bitter attitude that shunned them away.

His long Light Gray/White hair was now up in a bun below his hood as he paced through the corridors, waiting.  His face grew darker as the days went on, and the light mattered no more.  He had now adapted to the darkness that surrounded him.

Hunter and Gemini had been walking down the hallways of the Atrus for a few minutes without talking. His first impression of her had been very odd. As soon as he had looked at her, he had known something was different about her, because she hadn't shown any from of responce to his eye. This had made happy at first, but when he started to think about it, the lack of responce made him wonder. As he tried to start conversations, he found that she rarely spoke more than one to five words. Should I try again, or is it that she just doesn't like me? Hunter pondered this for a couple of seconds before he decided to try anyways. "So, how long have you been on the Atrus?"

  "Not long," she responded.

"Have you met anyone besides me yet, who's in Atrus?" Hunter asked.

  "No."

Hunter looked down at the small figure next to him. She really doesn't like to talk. Hunter then noticed how small she really was. She only stood as tall as his bicep. She has got to be only five feet tall, and I'm six two. I'm a giant next to her. The walked down the halls for another couple of minutes in silence, passing various crewmembers of the Atrus that Hunter didn't recognize. This is a large ship. Hunter decided to try to open another conversation. "Have you ever been a ship quite this big before?"

She stopped in the middle of the hallway, turned to him, and said, "You don't need to try so hard to get me to talk. I rarely do. I don't like to very often. Shall we continue?" She then continued to walk as if nothing had happened.

Hunter's jaw dropped open and followed her with his eyes. What just happened? Closing his mouth, Hunter hurried to catch up with her, since she didn't even know where she was going. They walked the rest of the way to Chip's office in silence. Once they arrived, Hunter asked if Gemini needed anything else.

"I'm fine. Thank you for leading me here. If you want, you can wait around and show me the rest of the Atrus later." She then pressed the signal button and waited to see if Chip was inside. Hunter heard Chip's voice then watched as the door opened a moment later. Gemini disappeared from his view as the door closed behind her.

Well that was an interesing walk. Atleast I got her to speak a few longer sentances at the end. Walking over to a bench, Hunter sat down and waited for Gemini to finish her introduction with Chipmunk.

Jaden shuffled around in his chair at his desk as he struggled to figure out a new tactic for the next Aegis mission.  He pulled up his computer and looked through the recent logs of Imperial Space happenings, and found something very interesting.

One of the newest tradeline routes under Vast Empire control, just outside of a planet named Quetrac, had been under recent attack by pirates and smugglers of the sort.  Many new reports were coming in from Imperial fighter patrols in the area about the new problem.

One of the biggest problems that had happened, is the new pirate group successfully captured one of the Vast Empire Navys Capitol ships.  The Dreadnaught Vatigan.

The Dreadnaught Vatigan had been running missions with Nazgul and Kaph a few months earlier, and was severely damaged after exiting the space of Dubrillion.  It then re-routed to the Athiel Shipyard.  The Vatigan would repair and get new orders at the shipyard, but it never made it that far.

Once it entered the Quetrac tradeline, the pirate group immediately jumped them.  For the pirates, it was a great time to hit the Vatigan, because it was low on resources and under heavy damage.  They seized the ship, and took it to one of their own shipyards.  The location was still unknown to the Vast Empire Navy, but investigation was still undergowing.

Jaden pondered for a moment.  Aegis hadn't been on their own mission yet, and this could be the right opportunity to show themselves to the rest of the fleet.  First, Jaden would have to get things cleared up with the officers in the fleet, and then hopefully things would get underway.

A few training simulations, and some good commitment would get this squadron into shape.

12 year old Templar watched, captivated, as the Agile Ties and the lumbering Victory Class star destroyers flew past one of the many view screens of the Death Star. He always had a thing for danger and speed, two things that always tended to attract. As he watched the ships his mind wandered back to one of the many speeder bike races he had participated in, on his home planet Mycogen. He thought about the feelings he experienced as he blew through the trees and bushes and rocks. He thought about the thrill and excitement he felt as he zoomed past the finish line, taking first place...again. As he played back the events in his mind, the ground he was racing over turned into the inky blackness of space. His racing suit transformed into an Imperial flight suit, and the very speeder bike he was on turned into a Tie Fighter. He pictured himself flying through space in his Tie Fighter, flying at hundreds of miles an hour. The other racer he was trailing turned into one of those cursed rebel X-Wings. As he locked on to his prey and was about to fire, he was startled out of his dream by a rough hand on his shoulder.

Templar whirled around to see his father, in his Imperial flight suit, standing behind him. " Day dreaming again, eh son?" The father says with a grin. "Yes father, I'm sorry" said Templar. "there is nothing to be ashamed of Templar, everyone dreams. Who knows, someday you might find yourself in one of those Tie Fighters, hell, you may even become an squad leader or an Admiral" said the father. Templar smiled as he thought about that, him, an Admiral? He was once again shaken out of his thoughts, but this time by the sound of a shrill alarm. "Dad, whats happening? Are we under attack?" "It seems so, the rebels are coming, it looks like it's time for me to go to work." said the father has he strapped on some gloves." " Now son, I want you to listen to me, this can very well be the last time we'll ever see each other again. If something happens to me out there, and i dont return..." the father pulls out a data pad and some credits." i want you to go to the location on this data disk, that is were y brother lives, he will take care of you." And with this, the father hugs Templar, puts on his helmet, and leaves.

Templar watches as the battle unfolds between the rebels and the imperials, he watches as the rebel;s begin there assault on the field of star destroyers, and the destruction of the Super star destroyer, The Executor. he is even able to glimpse his fathers ship every once in a while, as he destroys more of the rebel scum.
Eventually, the shield over the death star is broken, and the rebels send some of there ships in through the cooling duct. he watches with small hope as his father and a few other fighters fly in after them.

It seems like an eternity as he waits for the conclusion of the battle, as he waits for his father to come riding out of the duct victoriously. The moment never comes. An alarm pierces through the yelling and chaos inside the Death Star followed by an unnaturally calm voice, stating that the Destruction of the death Star is eminent, and that all hands should abandon ship.
Templar stairs with disbelief in his eyes, as he watches the flames belch through different spots in the Death Star. He watches with horror, and, if not for him being seen by one of his father's old military friends, the chances of him escaping the death Star alive would have been severly dimmed. But as chance would have it, his Father's friend did see him. And he picked templar up by hiscoller, hefted him up over his shoulder, and ran toward the nearest escape shuttle.

The family friend passes by several full escape shuttles, until he finds the last one, which has enough room and a strong enough life support system for only one more passenger.
He grabs templar, tosses him into the shuttle, and jettisons the pod several minutes before the Death Star explodes.

Templar watches from the safety of the Escape pod, with tears in his eyes, as he looks desperately for any sign of hi father leaving the Duct. he does not see him. And with a final shudder, and a yell from templar, the Death Star explodes.

Templar wakes up to the sound of muttering men and women, and the jabbering of drill Sargent's. He has been in the lambda Class shuttle, The Prophesiers, for several days now. After the event of the Death Stars destruction, Templar managed to successfully locate his uncle, who raised him until he was 19 years old. As soon as he was old enough to apply for the Imperial Navy he did, and was accepted. He was trained at an Imperial Navy for several months, taking various tests and drills, until he graduated and was finally accepted into Aegis Squadron. He is, at this moment, on his way to-the installation of which Aegis Squadron is currently located. Templar yawns and reaches for his shirt only to realize that it is gone. he fumbles around for awhile half asleep untill he notices the snickering behind him, and he looks up. hanging on the sealing, is his uniform shirt, spray painted with the words DORK on it. It is also torn in various places. He turns around and notices the two perpetrators with spray cans in hand behind him. One is fat and medium sized, while the other is very tall and very lanky. Both with huge grins on there faces. templar notices the insignia on there uniforms, showing that they are drill sergeants. The two sergeants chuckle snicker a few more times, which causes Templar's face to go a deep, deep red. " Welcome to the imperial Navy pilot, I hope we didn't destroy your day?" the tall one remarks, causing to Templar's face t grow an even deeper red, then his eyes blaze and his face returns back to normal.
" Of course not boys, my day isn't ruined at all, I can alays get a new shirt." And with that templar quickly runs full speed at the tall one, knocking him down against the bulk head, before the other Sergeant can react templar lg sweeps him, sending him sprawling on the floor. Templar then lightly puts his foot on his neck, and adds a little pressure, chocking him. "You will give me YOUR shirt, in retribution for what you did to mine. Templar says with a smile.
"Go to he--" is ll the Sergeant can say before templar presses his foot down into certain spots, causing the Sergeant to faint, Templar then takes off his shirt and puts in on him instead. He then walks out of the cabin, and into the main room of the ship. he gets some breakfast and gets a table next to a window. He stops eating and stares out the window were he sees the waiting planet that he is heading to in the distance. His mind wanders back to the old days of speeder bike racing, an the last few hours before and after he saw his father for the last time. Tears star to form on his eyes, but his self pity turns into an inner rage. " I promise, I promise i will get revenge on the Rebel scum if it's the last thing I do, he says. he then picks up his fork and finishes hs meal...

OOC means 'Out of Character' I beleive.  You use that to make notes of something in the story without actually including it in the story.  Kind of like commentary.  It's usually placed before or after the initial post although they can be placed within the story itself.  The 'OOC' is especially effective in such a circumstance.

Raigen, this is where you can introduce your character in story form. You can write up the occasional post that sort of tells the story of how your character arrived in Aegis squadron, and gives everyone an idea of what your guy will be like.

Jaden sat at the desk watching as all of the paperwork kept stacking and stacking throughout the day.  He had been in deep thought since the end of the last mission.  His squadron was low on recruits, and his old Squadron Commander had now been missing for some time.  Jaden had claimed the Squadron Commander position after hearing of the dissappearance of his former Squadron Commander.

Hunter, long time Aegis Pilot, became Jaden's Executive officer.  Jaden had flown with the man before, and knew of the great experience that he could pass down onto the lower members of the squadron.

Unluckily, Gemini had been lost in a battle while Jaden had been between squadrons.  No tears had been shed, because when Jaden had met her, she was but a small speck to him.  An unidentifiable unexperience little recruit, but now, Jaden had learned to take more things like her well being into account rather than just toss their lives away.

DJ had come back to help Jaden.  They were old Wingmates in Nazgul Squadron together, so he immeidately latched on to Jaden's ways of teaching the pilots and excelled in every situation they were thrown into.

Not long after DJ had arrived, a new female pilot came into the Squadron.  Shiric, or as she liked to be called, "Shire".  Jaden took a liking to her as she was very creative and always had some solution to get the squadron out of a bad situation or get them all pumped up for a sim run or something like that.  She had been recently moving up the rank ladder after doing so well in a recently competition between the squadrons.  Jaden was very proud of her, and very proud of DJ.

Hunter hadn't returned back to the Squadron from his extended leave yet, leaving Jaden with only Shiric and DJ at his side.  The three had become like a triad.  Their numbers only made them look like one flight of pilots, but their skill matched those of an entire squadron at work.

Jaden sat, remembering all of the good times he had experience since he had been in the navy.  Most of them made him laugh, but their were others that sadly made him break down and really think about retiring, but he knew in his own heart that he would need to lead this generation of pilots into a state of greatness and bring down any opposition to the Vast Empire Navy.

What another long nite...
****

Next Morning.

Jaden awoke at the same desk he had been working on the entire night before.  Really, he didn't know if it was day or night, only time could tell beceause he was in space.  Somebody had brought a cup of coffee by.  Jaden picked himself up on the desk and leaned back in his comfortable chair, bringing the coffee towards his mouth.  It was still warm.

As he took a sim from the cup, a knock came on the door.

"Come in," he said in a lower, scratchy voice.

The door eased open and Shire stepped in.  It brought a smile to Jaden's face to see that one of his own pilots had greeted him the morning after a long mission.

"Mornin Shire," said Jaden, "How are things?"

She stood there for a moment, staring at the cup of coffee he was drinking.

"Good, good.  Great to be on vacation though, glad to see you like the coffee I brought you this morning," she said with a slight smile on her face.

"Thanks," said Jaden, "Just finished up with all of the paperwork I had since we were gone"

She sat there for a second, staring off into the distance.  Jaden immediately knew something was on her mind, but, he decided not to ask.

The slight burn of the atmosphere super heating the very edges of the wings, creating a slight glow in the connecting pylons, of the TIE Interceptor that spins wildly down into the mid atmospheric range of Berchat. From the outside it appeared that the pilot was unconscious, plummeting to a horrible death without even being able to scream a last shout of terror. Strangely enough, even though the erratic behavior of the craft signified something as being one way, and the TIE seemed to be speeding up. It seemed to glow a little brighter, hotter as it spiraled towards the ground, which was now in sight.

What seemed to have been just mere inches from the great unforgiving, a change in trajectory happened with the Interceptor. With a strong jerk, and immense force, the pilot pulled the TIE into a straight jaunt headed horizontal with the treacherousness below. A slight cloudiness was kicked around by the gasp of the engines.

"Great maneuver, Blue Three." Another TIE that flew higher in the atmosphere, there more or less to watch than anything else, came into view.

"Felt like my arms were going to break, Blue Leader." The main focus Interceptor pulled back into the upper atmosphere. "And the pain I have in my head. I can understand now...."

Zurth had startled awake, nearly falling from his bunk. After the mission had ended, he had seemed to sleep later than he was supposed to, though, was it truly sleep? More so, he had fallen in and out of states of delusion, memories of recent past and long ago. Why was that memory there, though? It was when Scrace was still within the academy. Though, that wasn't but a short while ago, not even a full year had passed since he graduated. Still, it stuck there in his mind.

Maybe it had all been re-stirred in his brain because of the mission. Because of the tactics he had to do within the battle. It had all raised his confidence to a level that Zurth had never before felt deep inside. Not when he was leading the slaves. Not when he became an heir to a massive province of Ryloth. Nothing had ever done this for him...but killing rebels had made him feel like he could accomplish anything. Anything.

Now only if he could just sleep.

The grogginess that had been caused by the constant insomnia was tearing away LCRW Crin'Doloi's sanity. Even while he was up moving around, such as he had begun to do, he was prime to fade away into another fantasy. Thankfully that hadn't happened as he began to walk down the corridor outside of the Naval barracks.

His uniform had wrinkled as he had fiddled with it, trying to loosen it a little around the chest. That hadn't stopped him before. Still, as he passed by others, and had felt their eyes gaze upon his deepening sockets. Why couldn't he sleep?

During the entire mission, he had never felt exhaustion. Before it he had no troubles, no nervous terrors in the night. But now? After it all was done?

Something had begun to ache inside of Zurth, and it wasn't hunger pangs. He had felt it even when his TIE was just landing. All ready his body wanted more. Even after such a short time, his mind and soul required more destruction. Death.

It had intrigued him. It had entwined him. It devoured every conscious thought.

Nothing had done this since the death of his "Father". Nothing had taken complete control such as killing had...and he wanted more. He would do anything for more of it. And even as he sat now, sipping on his drink, he wanted to smell the blood seeping from someone's body. To have watched someone slowly pass would fulfill his wildest fantasies.

Was he just crazy?

+=+=+=+=+=+=+

Zurth had slowly slipped into the nearly un-populated barrack, a blade tucked at his side. Hidden from anyone that looked from the front or rear. It was a Ryyk Kerarthorr blade. Mostly just used by elite Wookies, but in this case, efficiency hadn't required too much skill in wielding the weapon.

Slowly, he had stepped behind the fellow VEN member, dressed in full uniform, with just one more marking on it than Zurth had. Just one rank above.

His hand had quickly wrapped its fingers around the neck of the victim, gripping tightly. Zurth could feel the vocal cords crushing beneath his fingertips. That is when the death dealing blow was thrown.

Scrace's weapon had been brought high above his head, and brought down in one quick swing. It pierced through the uniform, through the chest, and as blood began to run up the blades edge, a smile had crossed the LCRW's lips.

The face had become visible. The one that was made a victim was Feris Landala.

A laugh had begun to spout from inside of Scrace, as the body began to turn to dust and float slowly to the floor.

+=+=+=+=+=+=+

Crin'Doloi's drink had been spilled as his hand swung outward to catch the table in front of himself. His heart had begun to race as he tried to gain his composure. Quickly he stood, and ran towards his bunk. He had to stay out of sight as much as possible. He had to get this under control. Just like in training. Many had stared as began to hyper-ventilate while entering the barracks.

Quickly, Zurth had found his bunk.

(Short but I needed to get something up. Sorry its long overdue.)

The smell that had begun to waft into the nostrils of the newly promoted SCRW Scrace Crin'Doloi was what had woken him. A look on his face told a tale of disgust, more with himself then the actual stench that broke all silences. He had drank the night before. But what more could he have done? There was no sleeping. Not in nearly a week and a half. At least natural sleep. Inebriation had given him a period of time that was somewhere close to rest. A state of unconsciousness is still better than nothing.

A tingle in his lips and side had told that the time for him to report to duty had come and gone several hours before. He would surely catch hell for that. That didn't matter much to him. What mattered was that the drunk that he had felt had ended the delusions that Zurth had been having. Or at least overcome them with the grace of memories lost. But to tell the truth, when Scrace had woken up, and rubbed the red away from his cheek, he couldn't remember what had happened after receiving his promotion. Too many drinks in such a short time had short circuited his memory even now. What was he going to do?

The world as he had seen it before he had taken that very first drink was his. Something to be gathered up into his palms and made to do his bidding. Now...it had turned into a different story. With the ache that had continued to grow inside of his head as he made his way to the latrine was becoming unbearable. Each step had brought on another wave of the pounding. Another wave of the hurt. He had barely made it into the stall before vomit burst forth from his gullet.

A personal swear had begun to come into his head, run through his mind. "Never again. I will never touch a drink again until I have the power to make someone attend to my whim."

Raigen ducked behind a wall as another concussion grenade exploded. The blasts were unending, once again, he was taking on the CSA single handedly. The impound station above Lokeed II, in the corporate sector, was filled with heavily armed, poorly trained guards. Raigen could take on the whole lot if he was smart. The blasts stopped for an instant and Raigen flung the repeating carbine from his back to his hands as he side stepped and strafed the opposing guards with blaster fire. The hall was clear, for now. He ran down the durasteel corridor and backed against the wall beside the command room. He swiped a stolen keycard through the locking mechanism and the blastdoors hissed open. Five quick, well placed shots sent two control techs to the floor and Raigen quickly began sorting through the systems.

The halls from the guard barracks and stations to the hanger were quickly sealed off as Raigen gave himself some extra assurance. Then he set in the command to unlock the hanger. He had five minutes to get to his ship before the hanger was pressurized. Raigen had to deal with two more guards as he made his way to the hanger, but a well placed thermal detonator took care of that. The hanger was at least a hundred yards away and he would have obstacles to deal with. He was cutting it close. He was nearly fifty yards from the hanger when a small squad of guards cut him off and set up a repeating turret. Raigen ducked into a nearby hall and fired off a shot at the turret. The shot landed dead in the turret gunner's chest but another guard quickly took the spot.

The pin had been pulled and the attack sucessful, Raigen walked through the green gas of the poison grenade with his blck gas mask. The guard squad was on the ground shaking and clutching their ncks as Raigen passed and fired a shot into each of their heads to put them out of their misery. The gas subsided as Raigen entered the hanger. He plled off the mask and gazed at his ship, the Gray Hawk. The YT modified freighter was a fast as a snub and as armored as a frigate. Raigen aproched the foreward loading bay and entered in the code to open it. Fingerprint/DNA sensors detected his identity and a voice check confirmed it. The loading ramp lowered as Raigen entered his beloved ship, untouched afterover a year.

-----------------------

Raigen was met with mixed feelings as he returned to the Atrus. Some excited for his return, others mad at his leaving, but overall...HE was glad he was back. The Gray Hawk had been a part of him for years, now that the hole had been filled, he could dedicate his life to the Navy.

"Wow, this piece of trash took on the CSA?" He heard Templar say as he left the hanger and headed for the Aegis barracks. Just then, his wristcom came on. A green Twi`lek with only one tentacle came on the screen. "Raigen, it is Master Chief Bandaar."

"Holy Crap Darron, you scared me!" Raigen said as he ducked into a secluded area.

"The Order has decided, Lorelei must be liberated. We want you to lead the Pirate Task Force."

"Are you serious? I just got back and you want me to ditch the Empire to invade a planet?"

"You are the direct decendent of the first Lorellian Emperor, and the heir to the Red Dragon Order. It is your duty..."

"Yes ma`lord I understand. But this cannot interfere with the Empire in anyway. And this is the last time."

"You are as fiery as when I first accepted you as my apprentice. Very well. We will take care of the training and planning. We will summon you when you are needed." With that the face disapeared. Raigen remembered an old proverb A smuggler is always a smuggler, a pirate is always a pirate, and a soldier is always a soldier. Whatever he seeks to do with his life...his past will always resurface.

((Before my last post))
It was midnight, Raigen was on a quick leave due to his leg injury and had gone to Lorelei for a couple of days. The streets were dark in the city of Kresna. Corupt polititions and bad economy had turned the city to crime. Raigen had his sniper around his back and his O-6 blaster pistol at his side. Nevertheless, he felt nervous. It was too quiet, and for a fifteen year old carrying weapons, it was just plain dangerous. Raigen unbuttoned his blaster holster and began to get cautious.

Besides it being dark and dangerous, it was also cold. It was winter and even in summer, the temperatures in Kresna were well below freezing. Raigen's black, scout trooper armor(minus the helmet) was pulled over a warm body suit. Even that didn't stop the cold. Raigen looked around before finding a barrel of burning trash nearby. He approached it and warmed his hands by the fire. It seemed to help somewhat.

Raigen calmed down, assuring himself that there was nothing to worry about. A chilly breeze blew through the alley, blowing out the fire and darkening the space where Raigen was standing. He could have swarn he heard something, but the wind covered it up. Raigen looked around to find himself face to face with a mandalorian thug. The thug had a scarred face and dark, red eyes. Raigen recognized him as his rendevouz.

"Did you bring what I asked for?" the thug asked, his hand at his side.

"Yeah, I got it!" Raigen said as he pulled out a red stone, a valuble one by the looks of it,"I hope I will be payed in full!" He said as he clicked the saftey off his blaster.

"Ten Grand, just as we agreed!" The thug said as he eyed the jewel. He reached out to grab it but Raigen pulled it back.

"Twenty, I had to slit a few extra throats if you know what I mean." Raigen added.

"We agreed on ten!"

"That was when the jewel was ungaurded, I got there and had to take out a squad of guards. I want Twenty!"

"You ungrateful little!" The thug grabbed the jewel and pulled out his blaster. Before he could get it halfway up, the blaster and his body fell to the ground. Raigen had beat his to the draw. He retrieved the diamond and the datacard containing the ten thousand credits. Good Job he thought as he walked off into the night.
