Hey,
I haven't been in here for quite a long time, but after I saw "Revenge of the Sith" I HAD to post something here....
We had a Preview at 8.00 pm, and I guess most of you are living in a timezone where its 6 hours later than here.

(I guess anyone who has not seen the movie yet, should not read on!)

The movie is just great, I think the best of all new Star Wars Episodes.
Anakin is just that bad, I was realy shocked when he killed all those young Jedis and realy sad when those Jedis were killed by the Clone Troopers because of "Plan 66".

At the end of the movie, suddenly any ship and the Imperial officers and troopers look like in "A new hope", which was kinda strange but anyways cool.

After that Episode I realy understand the whole Star Wars story better, and can now even understand why Anakin became Darth Vader.

I wonder what YOU think of that film, perhaps you can tell me about....

I just saw it, I was pretty satisfied. Like all of the others (even the origonal trilogy) it has its faults, but it does a very good job of tieing things together.

I saw it last night at 12:05 PM EST. I agree Hashi, by far it was the best movie. I'll definately be going back to see this one. There was very little left to be desired. I loved the fights in this movie, it was stepped up a notch from anything I've ever seen in a SW Film. However, I did compile a list of things I'd rather have seen.

-Keep the Battle Droid Voices the same! It just sounded weird with new voices.
-Nemodians: same comments here.
-Grievious sounded like he was ready to die throughout the whole movie for God's sake: we're supposed to believe that was real?
-Quite honestly, I would have liked to see Qui-Gon make an appearance as a ghost like Obi-Wan did in the Trilogy. ESPECIALLY after Yoda said he'd teach Obi how to contact him.
-Where's Degobah? Yoda said he'd go into exile, but we see nothing further from him after he leaves Naboo.

  I saw it last night at midnight EST. I just woke up or I would have talked about it earlier. Warning Spoilers ahead:






















 
1. I was kinda looking forward the Dagobah seen, but not having it there didn't really change anything.

2. I thought the movie was great all the way around. The most annoying and boring parts were when Padme and Anakin just talked about nonsense. Only two of the conversations they had were really needed to explain and forshadow why he went to the darkside.

3. The fight seens kicked ass, but now when I watch the orginal fightseens in IV, V, and VI it will just look like they were tired and didn't know how to swing a lightsaber anymore. But the originals don't need the fancy lightsaber duals to still rock and be one of the best movies around. The story plot is what keeps it interesting.

4. Darth Sidius (Don't think I spelled that right) AKA Palpatine is just one sick and twisted dude. Creepy, funny, clever, powerful, and insane all at the same time.

5. Yoda is just wicked. Talk about having to dodge. Considering his size, he would have to jump twice as far as someone bigger to dodge those senate chamber platforms. Plus he is quite the little green friend.

  All in all I thought it was almost as good as the originals, but still needed a few touch ups and scenes deleted. But that's just my opinion. Half the crowd were wearing jedi outfits, four people were in full blown Vader uniform, and we even had our own squad of stormtroopers. Either that or they were clone troopers. I couldn't quite tell from where I was.

I went to a theater where they hadn't even sold out yet (only 300 out of 1000 seats were sold!). Not only was there no lines i saw a movie before episode 3 and i was still first in, it kicked ass. The movie in itself was totally awsome, end of the Dooku fight had my jaw droped. I quickly realized why they made it PG-13. I was slightly dissapointed with Grevious, i thought they could of made him more menacing. I especially enjoyed the chaos made when the Jedi began to get hunted down i thought that was just awesome. There is just so much action and all it was just great, i loved the movie.

That may be so, but it isn't like you see blood shooting out of those detached limbs since they are cautarized on impact. Spoiler ahead:
















 
  I hated it when the troopers turned on all the jedi as the jedi are saving the troopers arses. Yoda was the best when he was going to be turned on. Those two guys didn't stand a chance.

I found the love scenes actually bearable in this movie, compared to Episode II.

Thank God Padme announced she was pregnant early on in the movie. For some inexplicable reason I was really paranoid of Lucas making a cheesy sex scene. Heh, but that's just in the mind.

I agree with Angel that the movie felt abit too choppy, but I think it's because of the scale the movie is trying to cover. I wanted to see more action with Yoda and the wookies. And the part where Order 66 was initiated and the screen pans out to a whole lot of interesting battlefields on alien worlds.

Most classic moments for me are as follows ;

1. The lightsaber fight between Obi-Wan and Anakin admist all that lava. Classic, on par with anything in the Original Trilogy.

Hayden showcased his best acting so far when  Anakin laid there on the ash limbless and screamed "I hate you!" at Obi-Wan.

Best line of the movie for me.

2. The scene where Palpatine, Vader, Tarkin all the Imperial officers and crews were in the bridge of the Star Destroyers. A strong sense of nostalgia washed over me.

3. Darth Sidious taking on four Jedi.

More I can't remember. Have to rush off for school.

They cut her part out. They cut a LOT of stuff out that I've seen sets and costumes for.

You'll see it in the Supreme, Ultra-Mega, "No, Really I'm Done Messing With It" Gigantor Episode III Quantum Lollipop-flavored Special-Special Edition that comes out in time for Christmas 2008.

As for that last point, it was ment to be shocking. I'm shocked it managed to pull of PG-13 after having the main character killing children and more limb seperations than all the other Star Wars movies combined and multiplied by many factors.

I thought that the first 20, 30 minutes of the movie were pretty pointless in the overall scheme of things, but once the movie really got started...

...wow...

I was hanging on the edge of my seat for the final battle between Anakin and Obi-Wan. That scene was just unbelievable. Definitely my new all time favorite Star Wars scene.

And I'm with you Jen, Anakin did get really, really fit in-between AoTC and RoTS. But crispy deep fried Anakin? Definitely not hot

The battledroid voices made me laugh, as did a few things I cant remember right now; then at the end when vader screams " NNNNNOOOOOOOOOO " I almost burst out laughing, it was like something you'd see in a spoof, I mean there wasnt any other way for them to do it, but to have that in the vader voice we all remember as dispassionate and strong; well, it was amusing, thats all I can say.
this seemed to be the funniest of them so far aswell as the darkest, I guess the humor was to offset the darkness and general drama of the rest of the movie; thank god there realy was no Jar Jar.

How does the Emperor LOSE to Mace Mindu....maybe he did it on purpose knowing Anakin would come, but it looked like a legitimate loss to me.
