DJ saw jaden eject, "Oh well it was a good machine". and pulling the eject he blasted out of his seat along with jaden. "Well at least i got my survival pack with me". Pulling out the portable Comlink I contacted Jaden. "Jaden you there", "yea DJ I'm here where are you" reading the comlink i noticied he was about half a click away from me (A/Nabout a half a mile in other words) "Jaden i am about half a click away i'll send you my coordinates"

"Ok see you in a bit" Jaden said. "DJ out", well might as well scout out a perimiter to see an enemy nearby. on his way out he noticied an abondend bunker checking inside it looked like a cargo bunker. "well this will be a temporary shelter for now untill we find Shazam.

"DJ you there it me jaden i am at your coordinates but i dont see you any where". "Oh sorry Jaden i am bit farther i was scouting a perimiter walk about 100 feet you'll see me". " got it", as Jaden came closer i noticied he looked worse than my self he had some scratches and bruises probably from the trees and rocks.

"Hey Jaden what took you so long". " i got lost", " well i found this abondend bunker we can use till we find shazam it has enough room the boxes are almost empty". "what do you mean almost", checking the boxes jaden found some mining equipment like drills and suits and stuff but nothing big.

"alright lets start contacting the rest of them till then lets get something to eat". "You only think about your stomach don't you" Jaden said with a chuckle. "Well after fighting a battle i am always hungry".

"Alright lets get to it" Jaden said. "yes Jaden"

(I'll have to check that one out sometime Dar.)

(OOC:  This was posted before DJ's post, so it kinda fits right in, heh)

Jaden opened his eyes as the rain pelted down onto his body.  He sat up quickly.  Luckily, he was fine, but his arm was being a bit odd.  It would move the right way, but it was a bit more powerful.  Fonze must have mad some nice adjustments to the weather here on Dubrillion.

Jaden searched his body.  His flight suit was ripped apart, his helmet gone.  The parachute from his fall was laying a few feet away, rapped around the chair that was previously in the cockpit.  The rest of his supplies laid sprawled out on the ground.  The top half of his flight suit was ripped almost to pieces, so he ripped it off, leaving only the pants to show.  His pale white skin was very abnormal in the fact that he had never even been anywhere around the sun, except for the light on most of the cruisers, and what he had seen in planetary battles.

After surveying the area, Jaden grabbed his datapad and his comlink, and fixed them up.  Wiring them into their positions was not hard, but hooking them together so that he could get some form of power to them was difficult.  Once connected, a red light started flashing on the com.

"Jaden, can you read me?  Jaden?" came a familiar voice.  It was DJ.

"I am here Deej," replied Jaden.  He looked down at his datapad at the monitoring device.  DJ was only a few hundred yards away on the small island.  Their location was roughly 5-5 miles from the base.

"You alright?" asked DJ.

"Yes, I'm fine," replied Jaden.  "You are only a few hundred yards to the east of me,  just keep walking towards my beacon, and we should meet up.  I'll link up with Shazam and see what is going on."

"Alright," replied DJ, and then he was off to find Jaden.  Jaden changed the frequency over to the Nazgul safe channel on the coms.  Shazam was still connected, and for some reason, so was Jack and Owoemana.

"Shazam, this is Jaden, do you read?"

"Hearin you loud and clear bud.  We are flying to a small alcove about a mile from your position, right around the base," said Shazam.

Jaden looked back to his map.  Aparently, they were only about 2 miles from the base.  It would be a small climb up the moutain to get to the alcove, but they could make it on the rations that they had.

"See you there in a little bit.  DJ should be meeting up with me in a few minutes.  Wait there for us."

"Alright.  Oh, forgot to tell you, Darius and Art are fine.  They are going to a Imperial safe house not to far from here.  They are going to try and get in some fighters to get with us.  At the alcove, you can meet up with us, we will figure out how you guys are going to get in the air."

"Good," replied Jaden.  "See you in a little while"

(Before DJ's post...)

Jack saw pilot after pilot go down in midst of this horrible, deadly typhoon. The winds were constatily picking up, and the fact that Jack's screens were loosing visual rapidly, he hoped he wouldn't crash like at Thyferra.

"Shazam, what's going on out there? My sensors are practically dead," Jack told Shazam.

Nothing.

"Shazam, can you hear me?"

More comm silence.

Jack adjusted the comm's controls and tried again. "Shazam, can you hear me? I repeat, my sensors are going dead. This fighter is of no more use to me."

"Jack... hold together... others down... winds too strong..." Shazam said through the failing comlink. Then, as if there was no hope, shut off completely.

Jack had lost contact with Shazam. He realized that DJ was still up in the air. He tried him.

"DJ, can you hear me?" Jack tried.

"Copy you, Jack. What's wrong?" DJ234 responded.

"My sensors are practically dead, and I can't hold her together much long-" Jack's comm shut off. The winds had taken their toll on Jack's fighter.

"Jack?" DJ tried frantically. "Jack? Are you there?"

(You guys are doing absolutely superb, really starting to find your centers...  Jack: Write the story, bring out your character so he isn't just a person, and don't change the story line to hard core...  You'll be fine.)

Shazam didn't bother to bring the fighter any farther into the long dark tunnel of rock.  Surrounding the two imperial craft, was hard stone barriers in an oval shape leading from the outside downwards at about thirty-five degrees.  The hill was covered in a mossy green vegetation supporting several different types of wildlife, some beautiful as well as dangerous.  This was something that the Nazgul pilot had overlooked entirelly.

The hornet interceptor came to a rest, its systems slightly more stable than they'd been in the typhoon weather, along the smooth descending rock.  There was a dull thud and then the sound of the hatch prying itself open, allowing itself to be filled with the natural gases surrounding the it.  Shazam stood through the hole in his fighter and made his way to the ground carefully, meeting the face of the cave with a gentle landing.  Jack had done the same behind him, a grey swirling mess could be seen ravaging the countryside directly behind him  through the small gaping entrance they had used.

Shazam stood there for a moment, on the tip of his feet, leaning forward to a degree where he could keep straight and stable all the while examing the water passing by his feet.  The grasses surrounding the entrance/exit did not protect it from the rain, this was evident because the sound of water crashing in waves against the sides of the cave could be heard, echoing up until its reverberations at last met the two pair of ears who could hear it.  The pilot was allowing his hand to feel the water as it made its way down the curved and naturally molded tunnel.

"The storm will last through the night..." said Jack, stretching upon reaching solid ground, the fact it was extremely slippery didn't seem to deter him from jumping around and running up to the edge of the entrance.  Shazam acknoledged this and shook off his hand, small droplets of water grazing the incoming wave of rainwater as it contacted the water-washed floor.

"I don't know how far that tunnel goes down, but somethings telling me we might not want to stay there..." his eyes were narrow, and he sat perfectly still, wondering on something.  The thought was so close and he was trying to connect it was another idea, like he'd already had it any he only needed to find it again.

Jack was leaning against the wall, enjoying the cascading water at his now bare feet, his shoes were set on the edge of the assigned figher's solar panel.  As he swished his toes in the water, and Shazam tried to figure out what was on the tip of his tongue, a loud blood curtling screech shattered the glorious music of nature.

"The animals at the bottom of the cave are moving up..." and there it was...  Jack seemed to be absolutely one-hundred percent terrified, and was almost immedietly beating himself up about taking his shoes off to enjoy thier only shelter.

Shazam stood back up...  Something was moving up the cave, along the winding jostled road, and it didn't sound pleasent.  No, not at all, especially with the continued screeching and the sound of flesh beating against hard-floor.

"We're going to have to head off to somewhere else..." said Shazam who was speed walking to the only exit now.  Jack, who was very afraid of whatever was coming up the waterway, paused for only a breif moment before following his squadron commander upwards, shoes in hand...

At the base-

Tristan was becoming extremely frustrated.  Every movement he made was a frustrated action of anxiety and the thought of a change in balance...  Everything revolved around an ultimate, universal balance of luck and judgement.  You'd be lucky if you were doing something you knew to be wrong, but would receive extremely bad luck if justice had not been done.  Absolutely everything followed rules similar to these, and at this very moment, it all seemed to be coming together to create a collosol...  blah...  It was life and death now, and they had to move.

"Lars, dammit, just grab your shit and go..." said he, the master plan was dissolving before his very eyes.  The base that he and his 'co-workers' lived in, was one of much solitude and rugged confinement.  They weren't being told what to do necessarilly, but they were to report to do certain things, going from one place to another and doing whatever they pleased in between.  The thing about placing imperial outpost on planets like Dubrillion, is that your not the one working really.  In fact, you don't even see the work, you just sit around, make trips to other stations on the planet and make sure its all fine and dandy.

"I have crap that has to be taken care of..." answered back Tristan's ulstrious counter-part.  The scheme had been going extremely well for over two months now, no one needing to even break a sweat.  Now it was time to run though, and it jus so happened that he was in the most hostile and dangerous place he could possibly have placed himself in.  That is...  if they are alerted.

"Whatever, just get to the ship and we're off..." finished Tristan, he headed towards the door with his bag packed full of credits and items he felt would either become useful or worthwhile to someone.

The base had not been notified of the mission due to the fact certain members were being targeted, and any chance of them having 'knowledge' of the job at hand, could indeed completely compromise everythign they'd worked to survey and perfect in planning.

The ship the supposed imperial pilot was heading for, was one of much speed and statcher...  Well...  It was fast anyways...

(I'll add to that part...  Doin awesome guys, just keep it up...)

(Stay in the Cave, me and DJ have to meet up with you guys)

The hike up the mountain was treacherous.  Jaden held his E/11 carbine while him and his squadron mate DJ climbed up the mountain to the alcove where Jack and Shazam were hiding to keep out of the storm.

"Jaden, I still don't know much about you," said DJ.  "Can you tell me a little bit more about yourself?"

"Well, I come from a small town on Correlia," said Jaden.  "My family was a normal family, except for the fact that my mother died at birth.  I always use to dream about being some sort of pilot, and the closest thing I ever came to on Correlia was CorSec.  My father had me inlisted at a young age, so that I could become a great pilot."

"Well, you seem to be a pretty good pilot to me," said DJ.  "We barely made it out of those fighters"

"Yea, I suppose you are right.  Well, my father went out on a mission just outside of Correllia, escorting a cargo convoy.  Everything was going just fine, and then a group of pirates jumped in on them, and launched a full scale attack.  Code Red was signalled at the base, and I was immediately dispatched, because I was a high ranking pilot."

"By the time I got there, it was over.  Everything was in rubble, and nothing but the remnants of my fathers crew remained.  I could still see the insignia of all the fighters he had killed on the side of his fighter.  Pieces were flying all over, and I felt like dying right on the spot."

"I left CorSec about a week later, and left to find a new life.  Nothing was left for me except my droid Fonze.  You have probably seen him back at the barracks sometime or other.  I left for Coruscant, trying to find something to do, you know, a job or something or other.  I came upon the Imperial Recruitment Office, and here I am now."

"That sounds like a rough life so far," said DJ.  "But, you are having a good time here?"

"Well, I lost my arm a few missions back, but I was created a new one.  It really works good you know, Fonze likes to toy around with it when I'm not really doing anything.  I guess it's kind of a project for the both of us!"

Just as Jaden finished, a Squadron of A-wings shot out over the mountain.  Jaden glanched down at the base to the right.  A ton of fighters were being launched from the hanger.  It looked as if there was a whole nother battle going on besides what the VE was trying to accomplish.  Some sort of diversion.  Just then, a whole Squadron of Tie Hornets arose from the hanger.  They were death black, and had some sort of insignia on them.  They arose from the surface, escorting another shuttle.  Battle erupted onto the surface of the base.  The A-wings were doing hit and runs all around.  They were starting to hit the cargo ship, the Vatigan.

"Shazam, something terrible just happened.  It seems as though the Rebels have taken this time to attack the Imperial Forces on this planet.  One of the cargo ships we captured must have sent out a distress signal," said Jaden.

"Copy that.  We are still waiting inside the Alcove."

Just then, a message came from the commandos"

"This is 1st Lieutenant Balon, we have the package, but it seems half of it is gone," said the soldier.

"You mean, some of the people got away?" asked Jaden.

"Yes.  The man, Tristan, left with his men in a squad of about 8 Tie Interceptors, very black, trying to get off of the planet."

"Shazam, are you hearing this?" asked Jaden.

"Loud and clear.  You and DJ get down to the base and get to that hanger.  Get in something that will fly, and meet up with us in the air.  We will launch out of the cave when you guys are into the air, then try to track down Tristan," said Shazam.

"This is Balon, we are leaving with what we have of the package.  We will hyper out of the area as soon as we get off of the planet," said Balon.

"Affirmative.  Good luck Balon."

"Goodbye Sir"

DJ and Jaden started sprinting down the right side of the moutain, making large leaps to the bottom.  After they got to the bottom, DJ lifted Jaden over the fence, and DJ climbed over.  The wind started to die down as they treked further inside the base.

"The storm looks like it is dying down," said Jaden.

"Good, we can get into the air safely now," said DJ.

Once they arrived at the hanger, they were greated by a few officers.  They asked Jaden and DJ for ID's.

"We are loyal Imperials, and we are on a mission.  We don't have our ID's with us.  We are comandeering some of your fighers.  Don't worry, we're with the VE."

"Oh, well, we will have our ambassador send a message to Kadaan ASAP." said the officers.

"Thanks," said Jaden.

After entering the hanger, Jaden spotted a few Tie Interceptors still in one piece.  Jaden jogged over to one of them.  It seemed to be just like one of the fighters that he saw before.  It was jet black, and had a weird insignia on it.

"We'll just take these then," said Jaden.

"Alright.  You go first, I'll follow," said DJ

Jaden hopped into the fighter.  It was totally modified.  The control panels were way more technelogical then the interceptors back at the base.  Jaden switched over to the Nazgul frequency.  DJ did the same.

"Come in Shazam.  Come in," said Jaden.

Nothing came back.  Jaden waited a few moments, and then called back again.

"Shazam, I repeat, are you there?" asked Jaden.

"Yep, but we are dealing with some baddys.  Animals are coming out of the bottom of the cave.  Get in the air now, we are going to be just outside the cave flying around waiting," said Shazam.

Just then, a message came back from Art and Darius.

"This is Darius.  I have Art with me, and we have arrived at the base.  Any chance you guys are somewhere around?" said Darius.

"Yep, me and DJ are in the hanger getting some fighters going.  There are two in here if you guys need to get in the air,"

"Well, what a coincidence.  We are just outside the hanger.  Be there in a minute."

A few minutes later, Darius came in with Art under his shoulder.

Darius climbed into a fighter after helping Art hobble into another.  Art wouldn't be able to fly very well, but he would be alright.  Jaden started up his fighter, and inched out of the hanger, followed by DJ, Darius, and Art.  Shazam and Jack were flying just above the cave.  Jade formed up behind Jack and Shazam.

"Les do it," said Shazam

The storm had indeed, 'died down', which made the squadron commander very curious as to 'why'.  Over the years, young or old, he'd been in some pretty nasty storms, capable of crippling craft twice the size he was flying and somehow managed to survive without a scratch.  Of course, Shazam was soaked right now, and he had to switch out of his flight suit for a while allowing himself to keep dry as well as get the suit the same way.

Shazam had to power up several different parts of his fighter over and over again, all manuelly, just to get it to run together, a perfect synthesis in the end though.  Jack's fighter seemed to be in slightly worse condition, because it was not only weather-warn, but also sheered by the heat of cannon fire.

While the two of them did in fact, 'work fast', their thoughts were constantly interupted by the sounds of wild beast further down the cave.  Shazam had gotten his ship going first and let it run, the storm would kill him if his engine stalled...  Just after Jaden had announced he would be arriving at his position in only a few short minutes, the tortured screams were no longer echoes or reverberations from far, far away.  Shazam jerked up from his upside down position, just finishing up with the control pannel, and grabbed his blaster.

Jack had fallen deathly silent, and apparently deathly ill by the look of him, observed Shazam as he popped out of the hatch once again.  But there was good reason...  Directly in front of him was a large, lion-like animal with huge claws that clicked on the ground when it walked.  Most of its body appeared to be scars, tattered from the attacks of family members who wnated that last nibble at the feast...

Shazam didn't wait for even half a second, and his accuracy didn't fail him at this time either.  The animal dropped with a groan, and its muscles relaxed reluctantly as it body slammed the ground.  Jack suddenly relaxed, but then was fierce scared again.  Shazam spun around, now holding the duel blasters...

Coming up the tunnel in the immense darkness were long, light yellow creatures with claws larger than the lost, possibly twice the size of thier young friend.  Unbeleivable, thought Shazam after having just surveyed the dead body of thie friend; he thought that one was huge...

OH well, thought he, now turning on the com system all the while taking his time firing down the tunnel, illuminating the side walls, revealing cave cut outs Shazam hadn't seen before.  Jack didn't go run for any equipment though, he was just staring up at the ceiling.

"Come on Jack!  Get your ship prepped, we're heading out..." he began, but caught sight of what Jack had been, for the last two minutes, staring at.  Above them, there was a curved entryway into the lower part of the tunnel, and inscribed on it was...  "Cats of Soroster..."

"DAMMIT JACK!" screamed Shazam after seeing this.  Soroster was a man of folklore, supposebly able to deal any weapon with great skills, commanding over a legion of 'cats' leading him about wherever he was needed.  Known as 'the savior', the cats would follow him, warped in a strange craze over his apparent enthusiasm to kill.  Story says his weapon drove him to insanity, being controlled by the weapon instead of his own natural thoughts.  Shazam had seen something like it before...

Jack sprinted into his fighter and started flicking switches.  Shazam was just stuck on the thought of 'Soroster'.  Of course, Soroster wasn't his actual name, it was actually a title, like admiral, or cheif.  However, there were only three Sorosters in history though, each one more powerful than the next.  Shazam stopped firing, the cats were suddenly calmed down and appeared to be moving back, carrying some of thier dead friends along with them.  Something was replacing them farther down the way though...

Shazam's blood turned to ice as the sound of the blade being unsheathed.  The clap of heels to the stone became louder and louder, revealing a tall dark man with eyes covered in the shadow of his own mystery.  The blade was at his side, and slowly rose to become perfectly horizontal, perpendicular to his straight body, the other arm stayed perfectly closed against his side as he continued to walk forward.  He was clothed in heavy leather and a dark cloak on top of it.  Time to protect his cats once again...

The young pilot sat, petrified, absolutely unmovable while staring straight into the invisible eyes, was absolutely stunned at what he was seeing.  It was only folk-lore, but this guy seemed to match up with the tale.  After a long war with his native people to free the animals, he'd taken to a cave and moved all around, to other simalar caves that were made before hand.  These wern't just on one planet though, in fact, they were on several planets, scattered around the galaxy.  In the background, Jack had gotten his senses back in one place and managed to power up the cannons while turning the engine the best he could...

The Soroster stopped, and slid the blade so that it was flat in front of him.  Jack was perfectly positioned and pushed the trigger on his controls, and deafened Shazam for a few moments as the fleeting sight of bolts of pure energy attacked the armed man to the front.  The squadron commander jumped into his own vehicle as the the sword became absolutely ecstatic.  Alive would be most accurate, as the bolts met the blade and suddenly turned in a strange direction, out of line with its own path.  Some metals were capable of reflecting the energy of a cannon, knew Shazam, but the force should have knocked him off his feet if he wasn't already severelly burned from the temperature of his own weapon.

Jack was holding his finger down on the trigger, a whirling silver light was becoming brighter though as the bolts were not only being redirected from the Soraster, but also from the walls.

"LETS GET OUT OF HERE JACK!" screamed Shazam and began to lift off after glancing at the scene of force.  Refractive walls, thought Shazam.  Jack was no longer firing, but instead, moving outwards, and Shazam began to follow.  The bolts that had been fired at the soraster were still bouncing off the walls as he stepped back behind them, escaping into the darkness.  The bolts moved perfectly back in forth, a wall of energy...  Now that's scary good...

(Awesome)

(Hmm...Cats of Soroster....Interesting....)

Shazam and Jack shot out of the cave, bolts flying from their tales.  Coldness shot down Jaden's spine.  He felt something cold.

"What was that?" asked Jaden, as the Squadron formed up.

"Soroster, protecting his kittys....." said Shazam.  "Just keep moving, get it off your minds"

The squadron was now formed up in it's previous V, looking out for the group of traitors led by the infamous Tristan.  His right hand man, Lars, would be there also, protecting Tristan with his life.

"I think I can pull up the frequency of Tristan's channel in this thing.  Looks like they have it plastered right above the com system.  MWHAHA!," said Jaden.

Jaded pulled up the modified Com Sytem and switched over to multiple channels so he could hear Nazgul, and hear Tristan's group at the same time.  Jaden pulled out a manual from on of the compartments.  On the cover it had the title: The Four Sticks.

It seemed that the Four sticks was Tristan's squadron.  Nazgul had OVER estimated them.  They only flew with 4 fighters, but Jaden kept reading and found out that they had all taken flight training for aobut 20 years.  They were definently all High Ranking officers in the Empire, but have decided to desert, and get themselves caught up in this big mess.  BIG mistake.

"Looks like they call themselves the Four Sticks.  There are only four of them!" said Jaden, exitedly.

"We did overestimate them, but,  now we shouldn't be quick to judge them like that.  Four of them.  They must be good."

"Yep, says right here that they are all 20 year veterans.  This is gonna be a tough one." said Jaden

Jaden switched the channel over to the Four Sticks.  A low voicec was speaking in Twi'lek.  Jaden transfered it over to Darius to get a translation.  Darius new Twi'lek Basic better than anyone Jaden knew.

"Looks like they are on the south side of the planet, waiting for a transport from the rebs to come pick them up and get them out of the sytem safely." said Darius

"Thats, not good.  Can you pinpoint their spot with their signal Jaden?" asked Shazam.

"Sure can.  Well, looks like they are about 20 clicks South of us, heading to mark 1.25 on the NaviMap." said Jaden.

"Good, everyone throttle up, we are going to track these guys down...." said Shazam.

(Now would be a great time to fill in what they are saying on your side of the story Shazam)

(Mind you, we're currently going after the 'Four sticks')

The interceptors took a little whiel to get up to speed, but once they did, and everyone was leaning forward to get to the target as fast as possible, they were bookin.

Earlier, while listening on the FS Channel-

"Dude, I just wanna get out of here..." said Lars, he was a bit overly stressed, and he actually had kids and a wife to worry about, so this whole sceme deal that was going on put the pressure mostly on him.

"Relax, we're almost done, and once we get to the transport, we just sit back and watch, then we fly away.  Its all good man..." said Tristan, he was probably reclining back in his seat, somethig he's installed upon receiving the modified interceptors.

"What makes you think that they're going to let us through without ID?" queried Ven.  He was quite curious of his supposed 'leader' lately, like his credentials weren't as clear as originally claimed.  Although his mind wavered on the subject from time to time, he kept his mouth shut for most of the period, he did not dare oppose Tristan.  Over the years, he'd become extremely hostile, willing to lash out on those he held dear just to get something even more dear.  He had no mind for compromise, and that's what fit him best, there was no alternative to this mindset.

"Cause we're going to use one of thier ships, and they're going to assume we're them coming back from capturing us..."

Right after hearing this, Shazam instantly connected something.  But that's impossible, he thought to himself, theres no way you could equip something so small with a cloaking device.  Unless...

"Jack, I need you to tell me what you see inside that fighter.  I don't think they're meant for the purpose you imagine..."  Shazam wasn't quite sure what he was going to find out, but he had an idea.

"Uh...  Well, thers a whole hell of a lot of extra knobs and switches, some I've never even seen before really...  This one looks like an afterburner or..."  Shazam cut him off.

"They're going to take the commando ship, we've gotta hurry or they're going leave with alot more than money..."

"What?" DJ squeaked.  There was good reason for him to be surprised...  Shazam had seen it done before, but this was extremely sneaky, especially for a mercenary.

"They're going to take our ship, get our materials in the ship, pass it off as commandos, and sell it right in front of us.  Not to mention the slaughter of those same commandos..." Darius chimed in.  He was right on this.

"We will not accept the ultimate failure of this mission.  If they get on that transport, they get away scott free, and that means the bad guys get away.  We've gotta push it..."

(There, do what you can with that, and don't be bashful, lol...)

(Wowie, nice idea Shaz)

Jaden looked around in his fighter, searching for the cloaking device.  Some of the buttons triggered his shields to practically fail, and the others boosted himself too far forward.  They, right under the main control panel, he found a small gray button.  After touching it, a large light signalled that the cloaking device had been triggered.

"Jaden, where did you go?" asked DJ

"I'm right here," he said, switching back.  "The cloaking device for our fighters is right under the main control panel"

"Oh, cool," said DJ as he turned his on.  His fighter's image flickered, and then there was no trace of him.  A few seconds later, the image came back, just the same as before.

The fighters continued on.  They were about 5 klicks right behind the four sticks, just as a distress message came from the Vatigan.

"We are under heav......"  The voice was cut off.  There was no signal from the Vatigan.

Jaden switched back over to his targeting computer.  The Vatigan was in the same area as the Four Sticks.  Just then, the entire fighter rocked.

"Holy Crapo!," yelled out Shazam.  "Looks like we just got out of the eye of the storm"

The fighters fought to stay in formation as they gained on the four sticks.  Jaden switched his multiple com-unit over to the Four Sticks channel.

"Keep it together you guys, the Vatigan is almost captured." said Tristan.

"Something coming up from 3 klicks from the back.  Break!," said Lars.

Jaden switched over to the Nazgul channel.

"Break!," he yelled, just as the laser fire shot into the middle of the group.  The four fighters worked together very well, trying to pick off the weak targets.

"DJ, try to stay at my side.  We need to get through this one without loosing any of us!," said Jaden.  Shazam and Jack stuck together, trying to pick off one of the slower fighters, probably the 10 year veteran Huwey.  He dove in and out of the blaster fire erupting into the rear of his flight path.  Shazam kept letting off a few shots, then got frustrated and started firing anywhere he could.  Jack unloaded everything he had into the other fighter, just when it's cloaking system initiated.

"Where did he go?" asked Art.

"His cloaking system.  Just fire into the last area where you saw him," said Shazam.

Jaden and DJ shot into the area, hoping to hit a fighter, and they were straight on.  The view was hard to see because water was being whipped around everywhere, and the visability was terrible.

The Vatigan appeared, not far off.  It was being boarded.  Jaden looked over just in time to see some sort of white figure being dropped from the cargo transport.  It was a commando.

"They are executing our commandos.  Finish off those fighters, and get it back" said Shazam.

"Yes Sir," said Jack

Darius and Art paired up take on the 4 Sticks.  He was finding it hard to believe that there were cloaking devices on these TIE's.  They were way to small and it was breaking several laws of physics and the electromagnetic spectrum.  There was somehthing definately wrong with this.

The storm became even more fierce as the squadron fought to even find their adversaries.  Darius put on his pilot helmet as the lightning began to pick up.  The lens would prevent blinding flashes to damage his eyesight or even blind him.  "Nazgul, get your flight helmets on, it'll help in the storm," Darius suggested.  As he spoked, the fleeing black TIE's appeared.  There were only three left.

"Lucky shot you guys, now lets get these cowards," Jack proclaimed.  He and Shazam fired into the gap fighters, hoping to draw the outside enemy out.  It succeeded and the fighter banked hard to the left, drawing away from the the rest of the group.  DJ and Jaden followed suit splitting up the last two.

The Nazgul members followed their prey as they tried to flee deeper into the storm.  Darius was solely worried about the commandos, "guys, lets finish this and get to those commandos."  Art broke off of Darius' wing, and began firing and missing at the TIE they were following.  As if Darius could read his mind, he immediatly caught on to what Art was doing.  The stray bolts drove the rebel into a particular flight path that could be predicted easily.  The weather also worked to there advantage.  They were close the equator and the TIE had found a doldrum where the wind wasn't blowing as hard horizontally.  Darius linked his lasers and fired, completely connecting with the fighter.  It vaporized into gas and debris.

Nazgul started to report in.  "We got our guy, how about the rest of you?" announced Shazam.

Jaden chimed in, there was a quick explosion and he spoke, "got him, how 'bout you guys, Darius and Art."

Art replied, "what took you so long, I thought you'd never get them."  Darius was relieved to hear Arts sense of humor.  Either the drugs were working better than he hoped or Art was back to himself.

"Now let's get back to the Vatigan and take what is rightfully our!"  Darius exclaimed.  He could see that the storm was dying down and that the Vatigan was taking off.

(Gunna finish this up right now)

Nazgul formed up as they headed for the Vatigan.  Darius was shocked to see another commando being tossed from the cargo transport.

"Vatigan, this is Nazgul.  We are on approach," said Shazam as they neared the cargo ship that was being leached on by an enemy boarding craft.

An explosion rocked the boarding craft, loosening up it's grip on the Vatigan.  Something went wrong.

"This is the commando's.  We have just regained control of the ship.  Escort us to the hyper point, and we are out of here," said the lietenant.

"Prove yourself," said Shazam.

"Lieutenant Cruek, ID 24568932," said Cruek.

"Alrighty.  We got your tail.  Lets get goin," said Shazam.

The squadron formed up around the cargo transport.  Shazam took the lead at the front, Jack and Art surrounding the sides.  Jaden, DJ, and Darius took the tail as they ascended into the atmosphere.  Jaden spotted something very terrible.

"This is Senior Crewman Jaden of Nazgul Squadron.  Vanity and Venom Squadron, report in."

"We are running at 10% efficiency," said the commander.  Our hyperdrive is shot and we won't be able to get your squadron out of here"

"Affirmative," said Jaden.  "Venom, form up make sure that the Vanity keeps safe until it's repairs are done.  We will call in a repair craft and get this taken care of.

"Yes sir," said the commanding pilot.

Shazam flipped on his comlink.

"This is Cruek.  Our courses are set, and we are hypering out," said Cruek.

"Aknowledged," said Shazam.  He then switched over to the main distress channel of the command line.

"This is Chief Warrant Officer Shazam.  We are requesting an evac from just outside Dubrillion airspace.  Vanity has taken critical damage, and won't be able to bring us back home," said Shazam.  "And a few repair craft will be need to be deployed for the sake of the Vanity.  She is on her last leg,"

"We will send a small rescue party.  It will take a few hours for the repairs on the Vanity, but Nazgul Squadron is relieved of duty once transport Cruel arrives and picks you up," said the officer.

"Over and out said Shazam.

A few moments later, one of the local outposts sent in the transport to pick them up.  Nazgul Squadron swung lemselves into the hanger as their last views of Dubrillion and Vanity went out of few.  After everthing was situated, Cruel jumped out of the system, bringing Nazgul back to the Atrus.
--------

"Report to debriefing immediately," said a voice across the loudspeaker.

Nazgul squadron walked together towards the debriefing room.  Holding art across their shoulders, Jaden and Darius carried him towards the debriefing room.  Shazam and Jack walked in the front.  The mission was complete.  Now for the debriefing.

(I'm going to leave the de-briefing to Darius and Shazam.  Darius told me something about fixing the whole thing up about the cloaking devices, so he will do that.  Sorry I ended things so abruptly Shazam, but thats what had to be done.)

Darius made sure Art was settled down and comfortable.  He looked three times better with an actual cast on and prescribed medication instead of over dosing on medpac painkiller.  His hair was still wet from his bacta treament.

Shazam rose, as did everone else, "Commander on deck."  Everyone's arm snapped to salute the VE Navy commander.  "At ease, pilots," said Japheth.  The men diligently lowered their arms with a snap.  Shazam led the rest of his squadron to sit down in unison.

Japheth began, "Well done Nazgul, you made it."  He gave a small reassuring smile.  "There were a few little bumps and bruises."  He looked at Art.  Continuing, "some heroics."  He gave a sharp, piercing glance Darius.  "Even some stories to tell the grandkids."  He looked at Shazam and Jack.

"Now to bring things together, I'd like to read the damage report first."  He smiled and began.

After five minutes of listing lost fighters, damaged craft, cringes, smalls giggles and snickers from the pilots, and a few laughs.  Japheth switched topics.  "Shazam, would you like to add anything before I go on?"

Shazam rose from his chair, his uniform bristling with several medals and acknowledgements.  "Good job men.  We did real good out there.  I think we showed them that we can handle more missions like these."  Japheth gave an approving nod.  "I would also like to ask if anybody discovered how the hell those TIE's had cloaking devices."

Darius briskly rose from his chair.  "I can explain that one sir."

----------------

(Previous of the debriefing and Nazgul was returning to the hangar.)

The hatches popped up simultaneously.  Victory cries and screams of success echoed off the broad hangar's walls.  Darius stuck his head out to see DJ and Jaden help Art out of he fighter.  He smiled to himself, thinking back to the clash with the Whiphid and the flooded canyon.  The things one would do just to save a friend, Dar thought to himself.  He reflected even further on his thought, no just thing as to just save a friend.

Darius reached under the pilot's seat and retrieved his survival pack.  Pulling out his hatchet, he wiped the dried, caked blood onto the seat.  He sure was never gonna fly this thing again.  Making his thought come to real life, he swung the seat, tear the padding and cover to shreds.

Shazam was leaning against the solar panel of his TIE when noticed Darius' anger.  He lightly jogged toward him and confronted him with a few kind words.  "Man, I'm really proud of you and angry at the same time.  We gotta work on your lack of listening to my damned orders skills."

"Yeah, well it was worth it, wasn't it, sir?" replied Darius.

"I must admit that it was, but you didn't have to shut to com off.  I would've realized that there was no other choice."  Darius seemed to ignore every word that came out of his mouth.  "I'm talking you crewman!"  He voice grew tense.  "Darius, answer me."  He only continued to ignore Shazam and started to dismantle the TIE.

"Just because you're a little pissed or something doesn't mean you can just ingnore me."  Darius just continued to tinker with TIE's panels and access hatches.

A deck officer came to Darius and started questioning his actions.  "Is there a reason you're dismantling that TIE, pilot?"

Darius gave a quick sudden reply, without even break his gaze on the panels and gadgets, "I need tools, go get some."

The officer opened his mouth to reply ,but Shazam stopped him by grabbing his sholder, "just let it go and get the man his tools."  Shazam walked away and the officer returned with a cart full of tools.  "Sir, do you need assistance.  I can get you a mechanic."

Darius quickly replied once again, "hand me that power crowbar."  The officer muttered a smug remark, grabbed the crowbar, dropped it next to Darius' leg, and walked off, muttering even more about the cocky attitude of pilots.

Darius picked up the bar and swung with all his might at the panel he was trying to open without tools.  It bended to his blow and fell off, accompanied by water and leaking coolant.  The hangar grew silent and all the faces turned toward Darius.  He pretended not to notice but knew that he was creating attention and possible trouble.

Five minutes later, Darius had successfully, without care for any of the component that was contained inside the TIE's armor plating, guts out everthing that could possibly think would relate to a cloaking device.

Out of frustration, Darius smashed the power bar against black solar panel.  A small fragment slowly floated the dust cover hangar floor.  He picked it up and examined it.  He knew exactly what it was.  His father owned one that contained this material.

He slipped his vibroblade out of his boot and worked it along the edge of the view port.  The black of the TIE peeled back to reveal the standard gray color.

With even more brilliant ideas, he walked over to DJ TIE, hopped in the pilots seat, and power it up.  He found the button underneath the dash and activated the so-called "cloaking device."

He then next left the cockpit and stood ontop of the hatch.  Like a womp rat being shot at, he jumped on the hatch, trying to shake the TIE as much as possible.  It's image started to flicker, but it didn't remain constant.  He then pulled out his blaster and put a bolt into the solar panel.  The TIE reappeared.

Darius thought to himself, don't mess with the maeastro.

---------

Darius stood there, looking at his flight members and started his explanation.  "I tore my TIE apart after the mission."  He looked at Japheth and added, "I don't think you listed that one on the damage report."

Continuing with the explantion, Darius started to pace the small room.  "That was no cloaking shield.  What is was one big ass mimic suit for TIE's.  Of those of you not familiar with a mimic suit, it's just a suit that you put on to make you invisible.  But, the only problem is that they aren't realiable.  The visual field can be easily disturbed by massive vibrations, shedding, for those creature that do, and an overload/feed back of energy, or massive lightning storms.  That's why to TIE's were black.  My father had owned one but never used it.  He thought it killed the sport of, well, killing."

"That's about all I have to say."  He sat down and waited for the meeting to continue.

(Jack, if you'd like, you can finish the debriefing.)

(OOC: This is not intended as a verbal assualt on any of you, its just giving a bit of perspective to my character.  I will be doing these moments off and on to allow the new people to understand my character more.  Most have never seen much of my character commentary so these are little insights into how my character thinks.)

Arturus sat back, pretending to listen as the debriefing droned on.  He had never had much patience for debriefing, most of the time it was the usual old dribble of words that spewed out over and over.  The mimic device Darius had mentionned perked his interest, he had to look into seeing if he could fit one of his ships with it.  He did have a non-imperial bank account with enough funds to do it.  After that, the debriefing as usual went down hill.  Art thought back to when he used to command a squadron.  Debriefings were short and sweet, if nothing special happened then they hardly ever took more than ten minutes of serious business.  The rest simply was filed in a template report and sent off as bedtime reading for the brass.

Once the briefing ended, the squadron broke up and headed towards their quarters for showers before hitting the mess for some food.  Arturus took his time heading back to his quarters, taking a few moments to become adjusted to the crutches.  The doctors stated that he only needed the cast for a week before switching to more of a brace.  It's amazing how well bacta can heal things, too bad the bloody stuff is vile and disgusting  He thought as he made his way down the hall.  When he arrived at his door, he looked down at his watch.  Talysha should be off by now he thought as he entered in the security code and opened the door.

Once inside, Arturus made his way over towards the bed and stopped to pull out one of his uniforms.  For the first time in years, he had begun wearing his imperial uniform again.  He still didn't wear it to specifications but now that he was often in the officer's mess and dating another officer, he ahd begun to fall into line with the dresscode in order to avoid unneeded hassles.  After tossing the uniform onto the bed, Arturus slowly sat down and began to change.  Getting the uniform on over the cast wasn't as tough as he thought it might be.  It only took him two tries to hook the right pant leg onto his foot and pull up.  Putting on his footwear was another problem entirely.  "Too bad Taylsha wasn't here."  He grumbled to himself.  Arturus pulled out his comlink, sent her a message about meeting for dinner and then asked Shazam to stop by his quarters on his way to the mess to give him a quick hand.  This is going to be a week of hell.  He thought to himself angrily.  Arturus was furious at himself for being shot down.  He was a prefectionist and did not accept mistakes by himself.  It was a risky idea to use his fighter as a sitting duck while getting two green pilots to shoot down the rebels on his tail, it obviously was far too risky considering the eventual consequences.  He made a pledge to himself to begin practicing a new series of tactics in the simulators in the coming days to plan out some new, quick, go to moves for his next dogfight.  The ones he used now worked well but he needed to plan out some coordinated ones that he could then work on in person with whoever he would be flying with.

"The way of war is a way of deception. When able, feign inability; when deploying troops, appear not to be. When near, appear far; when far, appear near. Lure with bait; strike with chaos. If the enemy is full, be prepared. If strong, avoid him. If he is angry, disconcert him. If he is weak, stir him to pride. If he is relaxed, harry him; if his men are harmonious, split them.
