It's now time again to re-open the Imperial Markets. Back once again by popular demand, Imperitrade Financial will be our gateway into the Imperial Markets. Imperitrade will be replacing it's predecessor VE*Trade.
If you were on IRC last night and through the day today, you've gotten a chance to see Imperitrade before anyone else that hasn't heard about it yet.
To get to Imperitrade, you'll just need to follow the link:

In order to join Imperitrade Financial, there is a 25,000 IC application fee. For those of you that have been keeping up with your pay per click links, this should be no problem at all. If you find you don't have the funds for this, you may want to start going over to the pay per click directory.
Also, keep in mind that at certain levels, you'll get free stock options for completing a certain number of pay per clicks.

Kad, i have noticed that only the VEHC members are actually making money in that place. people that just joined, like me, dont even have enough money to buy 1 share to start with. I suggest that you raise the starting money a bit. -----------------------

Willtconq, like the real stock market, there is no 'starting money' other than what you've already saved up through your paychecks. Since the HC members have quite a bit of money put into the market, small swings in the market can cause their portfolios to go up or down quite a bit.
With the PPC directory, you can make around 100K IC's per month, so there shouldn't be any problem with having funds. Plus you've received 5,000 VEBOND stocks from there already. -----------------------

Meh, don't worry about it. I was losing almost 2,000,000 ICs a day ago, and now I'm on a plus side.
If it makes you feel any better, just ignore the Top 4 people. They were all in the Beta testing way early, and anytime stocks go up, they make a butt load of money. I guess that's the perks of being the Big Dogs.

heh, i learned a few basic things when my aunt and uncle used to buy real stocks, always but the ones with lower prices, and let them rise. and DJbond, right now is the lowest one so..., i'll have to get some money to get on that. -----------------------

Jack, I think the money you send to the stocks goes into a seperate bank account (like the Imperial Center Store), so no worries there.
And as for the fluctuating share prices, I believe Kad set it up to reflect the various activity in the divisions (correct me if I'm wrong there, Kad).

When you purchase stocks, your money gets changed into stock certificates. Only the trading commissions go into the Imperitrade bank account.
And yes, these stocks will change based on how the divisions are doing as a whole. Each being based on their respective divisions and the VEBOND stock being based on the entire VE.
Yes, there will be many more stocks in the future.
When the ICS stock goes public, there won't be a time limit on the amount of time that you are required to hold that stock. Same with the other non-bond type stocks. It is rumored that the annual shareholders meeting for ICS will occur sometime next week. -----------------------

If that's the case, then just remember that stocks won't always go up. It is more of a gamble to try to find a stock that will perform well all the time. In the RL market, you'll never find a stock that will constantly go up.
So far, the DJBND stock has been the best performer. Keep in mind though, that sometimes if something goes up really fast, it can also come back down just as quickly if not quicker. -----------------------
