(Not just yet. Lol.)

Shazam and Chip returned to the Atrus.  This time they recieved no metals.  Just a pat on the back.  This stirred up some comotion in Chip and Shazam.  But they managed to cool off.
    "What now?" Shazam asked Chip.
"I'm going back to my fighter." Chip answered steadily.
"I suppose I am too...  Nothing to do here but eat...  And sleep."
Shazam and Chip stood up from thier chairs, and walked down a long corridor.  The lights seemed to dim just for them as they walked to the hanger.  Everything seeemed to be in slow motion, the man walking out of the bridge with a blaster, Liquid reaching for his lightsaber behind the man, and JMac jumping out of the way of blaster bolt.  Shazam squinted as the man ran onto a piece of shrapnal and slid unto Liquid's blade...  Shazam turned his head to watch, and Chip reached for his blaster.  JMac was up and running.
The man turned for one last shot, he was running, and the door to the lunchroom where they had just been...  Swung open with gental ease.  Just as they assailant was pulling the trigger he ran right into the door.
Shazam's vision turned back into real time as an explosion rocketed from behind JMac.  He looked and saw Daishi duck for cover.  A man at a control desk was instantly set a flame.  Chip was firing succesive rounds at the man...  He had managed to shoot the man in the right hip.  Liquid force pushed him to the ground as another explosion rocketed the ship.  This one was not nearly as bad, but seemed to move the ship slightly.
A siren went off.  "Intruders!  Search the ship!" Shazam heard over a com.  JMac was already back in the bridge looking for the dead and injured.  Daishi was up and running towards the com to return to his commands.  He would not let this get in the way of winning the battle.  This was only a mere distraction Daishi knew.  "We're being sabatoged," Daishi said under his breath to JMac.  JMac nodded slowly.  Liquid brought in the assailant.  "What should we do with him?" Liquid asked wearilly.
"Ha...  The question is what won't we do..." JMac turned to the assailant.  "You are about to feel the worst pain you have ever felt...  I suggest you tell us what we want to know.

(OOC: Idiot Corellian?! )

Chip had been planning to sneak back to the cruiser they had captured. With all the fighting going on, it wouldn't be too hard, just get in his TIE and fly over, real casual like. He wanted to exact his revenge. One of Chip's listed men had been turned into hamburger on whatever that mess of a planet was. He had never expected to be so lucky as to actually find and kill one of the men, but he'd actually captured a second onboard the cruiser. Alive. Oh, it was going to be sooo fun. Unfortunately, things were not going to go according to Chip's plan.

There hadn't been time to take care of the punk when that damn Jedi showed up, so instead Chippy had hid the man away, cuffed and shackled, to await his fate. But the stormtroopers who secured the ship had found the man and brought him to the Atrus along with the rest of the Rebel prisoners. And that hadn't been the best idea, for anyone. Except the Rebel. Six prisoners had escaped and started killing crewmen aboard the Atrus, and Chip's man was one of them.

"Commander JMac, sir. I have my own score to settle with this faggot. Request permission to take him somewhere private. If you know what I mean, heh. Sir." Shazam stared open-mouthed at Chip. The Viper pilot's eyes held anticipated hatred; it was as if Chip had instantly become someone completely different, someone who lived for cruelty. Whatever the Rebel had done, it had really pissed Chip off. Beyond immensely.

JMac gave a glare of his own. Stupid Corellian. JMac didn't like Corellians. They reminded him of Tiana Fafdra... But the little pilot facing him knew nothing of that... "I'll arrange for you to go to the cruiser. You will not be disturbed. Provided you extract the information we need."

"Of course, sir. Shazam, help me get him in the transport. We're gonna have a little fun with this guy..."

Back on the ship, Chip enjoyed his hot cup of coffee. The Rebel had been locked in the closet for the time being, while Chip decided where to start. And now he'd decided. "Well Shazam, are you ready?" The closet door slid open and Chippy looked at the form huddled in the corner. He was young, almost too young for the horrible thing he had done, almost three years ago now. But he had that damned tattoo on his cheek, along with a tell-tale birthmark on his nose. Ah yes, the one with the birthmark. This little runt had been the most eager... "Hello there. And how are we today?" Again Shazam saw the hatred in Chip. "Grab his other foot, Shazam. Let's take him to a table. An operating table. Heh."
"Chip, what are you going to do to him?"
"Exactly what he deserves." Chip leaned close to the young Rebel, whispering in his ear. "Do you remember capturing a passenger shuttle three years ago? It held tourists from Corellia. You and your four buddies decided you didn't like Corellians. Except for one." Holding a vibroblade to the kid's stomach, he continued. "You decided one of those passengers was pretty. Remember her? You decided that she was too pretty to leave be."

Terrified recognition flashed in the boy's eyes. This Imperial, he wasn't sane! The girl, the boy remembered the girl. Pretty thing. They had certainly had some fun with her... What, was this crazed Imperial her brother or something?

"You remember her, don't you? Can you guess who she was? MY FIANCEE! I'm gonna give some of that pain back. But while hers was mostly mental anguish, yours will be bodily torture. And if you're lucky, you'll die before I finish!"

(I'm ganna have to post some itty bitty post here for a while...  I have problems here I'm working out.)
Shazam left Chip to his business to secure the hallways, and make sure all was well...  Shazam sat down against one of the charred walls and sat there thinking to himself.  The rebels frightened screams echoed in the hallways, but Shazam paid it no mind.
I've killed the man I was looking for all my life, Shazam thought to himself.  "Do I have nothing else to live for?" Shazam breathed quietly.  Without realizing it, he had dismissed the shadow that had flicked by in a quick motion.  Suddenly, coming back to his body, Shazam leapt up, blaster in hand.  He scurried off behind the corner to get a better look at whoever was running around the ship.  He could here an exposion from the outside of the ship, no doubt some bomb going off rather than an X-Wing being blown to pieces.
Shazam smiled meekly at the thought before walking into the next room.

(OCC:  Hey I just read the story, and Im gonna make my own post.  I don't know if I am going to go for the most posts thingy since this thing might be already over.)

Chatham heard the sound of the sirens.  It was very clear that something was going wrong.  He then complied that there were rebels aboard.  "Why the hell are they even trying?" Chatham said to himself.  As Chatham walked down the hall with his blaster in hand.  Chatham had always wanted to be in the army, but he then got he interest of going into the navy...

Chatham turned the corner, and saw that a pilot was approaching thie hanger.  Chatham tried to wave or give the pilot a signal, to see if he needed help.  Then the pilot walked into the hanger.  Chatham speeded up his pace, trying to see what the heck was happening.  Then, he heard the sound of an explosion.  "holy shit, what the hell was that!"  Chatham soon found out as he crept around the corner to the hanger.  Shazam had aparently shot the rebel in the leg, and then stuffed a thermal detenator in the pocket of the rebels jacket.  Shazam had run to the far end of the room to get away fromt the devestating explosion.  Chatham had entered the room with a grin on his face.  "That was impressive" he said to Shazam.  "I don't think that I could have pulled that off."  "Howdy" said Shazam in a friendly feeling.  "Are you the new recruit who just got transfered to the Atrus?"  "Yeah,  I was placed in Viper squadron."  "Good luck with that, I was placed into Kaph, after formerly being in Polaris."  "Well, shall we go?"  "Yeah, lets get to the hanger"

Chatham and Shazam walked down the hall.  "I think I am really going to like it here," said Chatham.  Shazam and Chatham got into their reliable ties, and prepared to take off.

(YOU FOOL!!!  Ya, we still gotta get Chippy back with us...  I gotta stay on the ship...  That's because we're takin er down to the planet!!  Also I believe we came in an escort...  Oh well...  F it...  And I suppose Chatham must have snuck aboard eh?)

Shazam slapped himself on the head.  "Dammit.  I was so caught up in blowing that dude to bit's I forgot about Chip.  I'll be right back." Shazam said, and leapt out of his TIE to chase after Chip.
Chatham appeared bewildered.  "He was here..." Chatham said wearilly...  "Oh well...  I'll com the Atrus and tell them..."  another explosion cut him off.
This one was inside the ship as well.  Chatham jumped out of the TIE and ran towards the hall...
Shazam was carrying Chip on his shoulder, trying to get away from an inferno behind him.  "Get to the bridge!" Shazam shouted.
Chatham stood frozen for a moment, then eyed Shazam wearilly.  "NOW!" Shazam shouted louder this time.  Chatham sprinted down the hallway to the bridge.
Shazam and Chip managed to walk, half drag eahother to the bridge.  Warning lights, and sector alarms flooded the room.  Shazam dropped Chip on a chair next to a console.
"Chatham," Shazam coughed," go to the panel to your right.  You'll see four indicator lights.  There are two levers, and either a switch or button.  If theres a button, it's blue."
Chatham walked over to the console, and nodded to Shazam.  "It's a button."
Shazam was exausted but continued on.  "Pull the first lever down.  Now look up above you.  There should be something like twelve silver switchs.  Switch the one that has a little engraving that says EWLS."  Chapath followed the directions accordingly.  "Good, your doin good." Shazam said, and patted a near unconcious Chip.
"Now then, those four indicator lights...  Two of them should be off.  That's our two sectors at the back of the ship.  Now go to the silver switchs on the bottom of your console.  Flip the one that says EWLS.  EWLS, by the way, is Emergency Warning Lights System.  Good...  Now all the indicators should be off..."  Shazam stamered out as the last syrens turned off.
"What about the remaining rebels?"  Chatham asked wearilly.
"Let 'em cook." Chip smiled widely.
"We can put out the fire in that corridor in a bit.  I think we'll be okay."  Everyone laughed a little bit.  You know..."  the three LCRW's looked at eachother quickly.
"This ship's worthless anyways...  It wouldn't be any use.  Even for the food or preservations.  This ships useless now..." Chip said quickly.
"Plus we could say it was an accident!" Chatham piped in.
Shazam nodded his head slowly.  "We'll use the remaining war heads on the remaining enemy cruisers.  Then we'll smash this piece of shit into a rebel ship.  Seeing how we need to limit the enemy ships.  I mean Daishi is having his troubles because we're near outnumbered...  Might as well take someone down with this ship..."  Shazam finished.
They all nodded.  "Sounds good to me." Chatham said.
    "Sounds great..." Chip said quietly.
"Let's get to work.  Chip, you get to the consoles, and redirect our course towards whatever ship is worth destroying.  There's been a bunch of coms talking about a main ship in the northern region of the planet's system.  See what you can here on the com boards."  Chip nodded and smiled grimly.
"Chatham...  Find the nearest enemy cruiser and unleash hell.  Use all the warheads.  We don't want this piece of equipment to go to waste.  And those warheads arn't ganna go in vein."  Chapath jumped to the nearest console.
"As for me...  I'll ready the transport."  He smiled...

(Edited for Chip...  Cause Chip actually knows what's going on in the story...)

(OOC: Don't smack the newbie, he's just learning. Aslo, contest ends Monday.)

JMac flew in low over the enemy cruiser, hugging the hull too close for its guns to track him, even if they had known where he was, whcih they didn't.  his sensor spoofers ahad cost him a fortune, but he wouldn't have traded them for all the spice on Kessel.

As he swerved to avoid a small bulge in front of him, his target came into view and he fired.  Two missles shot out, slamming into thier bridge two seconds later.  It's sheilds flashed as they struggled to absorb the force of the blast, but they were already too taxed from the battle.  The transparisteel shattered inwards, reversing direction almost instantly as the atmosphere was sucked out into space.

The dark man allowed himself a tight smile.  It wouldn't destroy it, that would be very difficult in a starfighter, but it would cripple it, the auxiliary crew would have a hard time  flying from the makeshift bridge that they would have to set up.  Satisfied, he pulled up, avoiding a corpse that was flash frozen in front of him, and jetted for space.

Welcome back JMac, his friend's voice muttered in his mind.

Thanks.  You need any help?

Sure, why not.  I'm the ship surrounded by the 20 odd fighters about twenty klicks in front of you.

Chip swung into the seat of the flight control station. "Alrighty, then. How 'bout we smack that Escort Carrier, the one acting as hanger for all the A-Wings?" He smiled, entered a few commands into the flight computer, and the cruiser began to turn. He turned to Catham. "Hey, you busy? The Rebs aren't gonna like us getting too close to them. If we're lucky, they won't realize that the ship's been captured, but they're gonna get ants in their pants when they see us coming at 'em at full throttle. You might wanna man the weapons and shields."
    "Sure thing."

Normally, a ship like this took several people to command it. The small group of Imperials had only three. Naturally, it meant that they all had to scrammble from place to place. Finally, they got lined up. "All set? Good. Max power!"

Shazam had readied the ship.  The small transport lay ready to jump out of the hanger bay just as they would ram the ship.  He smiled delighted at the little teams idea.
His smile was ended abruptly by the prescence of another man...  The escaped rebel grinned from ear to ear.  He was leaning against the side of a blast door with his gun at the ready.
"You guys thought you'd kill me.  Ha.  Sarah deserved what she got.  She wanted it."  He began.
Shazam didn't know what he was talking about but he was sure it had to do with Chip.  The man walked closer, he had burn marks up the side of his body, and he walked with a limp.  He walked closer still.  The gun aimed at Shazam's heart.
He was about a meter away now.  "Goodbye" the twisted man said and pulled the trigger.
They heard a click, but a bolt did not occur.  He clicked it again...

"You little f***. I thought I'd killed you. Well. Guess I get to do it again. Put down the broken blaster." Chip didn't have any emotion now. He didn't have time. He was puzzled though; he'd left the Rebel with half of his guts hanging out. How the man was even on his feet, let alone still alive, Chip wasn't sure. "And considering the nail marks she clawed into the side of your face, I'm pretty confident you're just trying to rattle me. So drop the blaster. I just might shoot you in the head first, instead of starting with what I left of your tiny balls." Chip took a half step forward, and pointed his blaster to the Reb's blood stained crotch.
The Rebel, overtaken with pain, faltered, stumbled, and hit the floor. Again Chip marveled at how young he was. Someone that little shouldn't have even been in the army to begin with. Well. The b*****d had hurt Sarah, driven her to near insanity. No, it HAD been insanity, towards the end... Good Lord, it had hurt Chip when he found out. In a way, the end had been partly Chip's fault...
No. Time to finish this. It would have only taken one shot, but he gave fired until the squirming stopped. Stupid little Rebel. Two were down. Only three to go. Probably wouldn't find them, though. It had been a miracle to find the first two. Well, when the last three on the list were dead there was only one person left punish...
"Come on Shazam, we gotta get oughta here! We're aimed at the Escort Carrier and the thing's been put on auto-pilot. All aboard!"

(OCC: This is starting to get really fun.)

"WAIT, I still gotta let of a few of these here missles" said Chatham.  Chatham took the gunnery control and put the missles on "duel fire"  Chatham  aimed the missles and waited for a lock.  The craft was atleast 6 klicks away, so he thought he would have enough time to let off a few.  Chatham pulled the trigger to let 2 beautiful missles fly towards the cruiser.  "I feel happy with my accomplishment," said Chatham.  "We need to get out of her now!" said Chippy and Shazam.  "One more" said Chatham.  He pushed the trigger and notice the sign of 4 clicks away.  "LETS GO" yelled Shazam.
The team of pilots sprinted out of the control room towards the hanger.  They all knew that they were cutting this way too close.  Shazam had programed the distance of collision into his com.  "We got 2 clicks!" yelled Shazam.  Each of the pilots got into the small ship and began to prep it.  The engine hummed.  "Dear god, less that a click away" said Shazam.  Shazam, in the driver seat, rotated the ship to face the exit.  Chatham sat anxiously at one of the consoles.  Chip, sitting as co-pilot, put the throttle into full thrust and watched out for enemy fighters.
The two cruiser colided, and for a moment, the world around them seemed to stop.  An explosion filled thier ears, and the small ship the imperials were on, was hit by a pulse.  The blast was incredible, it lit up world around the battle.
"Wow..." Chatham breathed.  "Quite a blast, good thing I wasted those missles on another ship.  You know, the one JMac was after." Shazam and Chippy nodded thier heads knowingly.  They headed after the atrus.

(I had to edit this because it made no sense before hand...  Thought that we all had tie fighters...  Nm.)

(*I'm taking note of the fact that we have to end the story on monday, and that it can't be in space...  So we have to get back on the planet!)

Now there were three pilots at the white table.  All of them were LCRW.
Daishi walked into the room.  He sat down at the end of the table.  He had a cup of java juice, and was gulping it down...
"We're goin' back down to that hell hole we call a planet." Daishi let out.
    "What?"  Chip blurted.
"I thought we destroyed the base's there..." Shazam said wearilly.  Chapath sat at the back of the room, quietly drinking his beverage.
"Well, you know that kamakazi cruiser earlier?  Well, apparently, however odd it may seem, are on that planet.  They arn't rebels.  Some rogues of some sort.  And at the moment, they are the remaining factor, keeping us from our goal."  Daishi explained.
"Rogues?  Do you mean like pirates, or ex-rebels or imperials?" Chip asked.
"No...  I mean like Rogues as in mercenaries...  They are here to keep this planet away from us.  They've been hired by the natives.  They captured a rebel ship like you guys did, and took out about 13 ships.  That's not counting our own casualties..." Daishi continued.
"So what are we being sent down in?" Chip queried.
"If you have your own ship, or you have a TIE here...  Then you will be using it.  Just whatever you have on hand..." Daishi concluded.
"Okay.  So we're going after some mercinaries hired by the planet's natives...  And they have the total advantage because we don't know where the hell they are, and they'll know exactly where we are...  Am I right so far?" Shazam said.  Daishi slowly nodded his head.
"I get to await the co-ords from you guys, then we get to blast the living hell out of the base.  But first we've gotta see what we have.  So you guy's won't be in fighters most the time...  You'll be on foot.  We'll have recon ship's around.  We beleive it's up in the northern region of the planet.  Most of the natural rescorces thrive here.  Ther's lots of clean water, fruits and vegitables.  And the natives used to perform rituals there.  We've had reserchers look into it." Daishi finished.  Everyone at the table nodded.  Daishi stood up, and the pilots saluted him as he exited the room.
"I suppose we're goin hunting..."  Chatham finally said.
Chip, suddenly becoming aware of Chath's existence shrugged and walked out the door.
The three of them walked into the flight member's room.  Orange lockers lined the room.  A com unit came out of the wall noticably.  Shazam walked to his locker and put in the code.  He heard a buzz and a few clanks as the locks came undone.  The door swung open, and Shazam's collection of weapons showed.  "I wasn't allowed to bring explosives on the ship, so I only have my guns...
Chip walked over from his own locker to take a look.  He shook his head.  "You'd have killed us all if they would have let you bring explosives on the ship."
Chath who was opposite of Chip and Shazams' lockers opened his.  He had verious data pads, and religious symbals hanging from the locker.  "You got a religion," Shazam said eying the objects.
Chath chuckled,"No...  Actually, I travel around and collect items.  I've got an old sith lightsaber, which is quite treasured I must say.  And this corillean braclet that I always carry around.  I keep the saber with me because I think that if I ever became a DJ it may become useful."
Shazam smiled at the young mans dreams.  Chip had been listening, also smiling.
"All pilots to thier fighters...  We will be sending off in thirty minutes," a voice rang out over the com.
Shazam strapped his mini-blaster to his ankle, and took loaded two blasters into thier holsters at his hips.  Then he grabbed a sniper rifle and swung it over his shoulder.  He smiled at his equipment.
Chip simply grabbed his shotgun, his blaster, and a picture.  His locker hung open as he said," I'll be right back, gotta go to the bathroom before I do anything."
Shazam was walking past his locker when he glanced inside.  It was very plain.  There was a small holding bar for Chip's shotgun and verious blasters.  A few pictures of a beautiful young woman hung in the locker as well.  The last thing he saw, and most interesting maybe...  Was a list.  There was a small list, hanging on the door with five names on it.  Two had been crossed...  No slashed out...
Shazam only glanced for a moment when Chath patted him on the back.  He tore his eyes away and pulled himself back together.
Chath wore his bracelet and a blaster.  He also had a tracking unit, and a rifle slung over his shoulder as well.  Chip rejoined them, and they headed towards the hanger bay.

Chip paused. "You know what, if we're gonna play ground-pounder, I want some more stuff." He turned back to his locker and grabbed is collection of grenades, a medpac, flechette launcher, and his E-11 blaster rifle. "Gonna be cramped in the TIE, but I wanna be ready."
"You guys know why they want us to do this? Isn't this the Army's job?"
"Well Chath, I'm about as confused as you. They really ought to have the Army do this." The three pilots throttled up their ships and headed out.
The familiar face floated infront of Chippy's eyes. "Forgive me, Sarah. I know I've changed. I know you didn't want this. But I need the revenge. And soon it'll be all over..."

(Ha...  I'll make sure to grab my rocket launcher and "no-mercy" super grenades...)
The three of them floated down the planet to the Imperial campsite.  Large cruiser's were set down around the outskirts of a forest, while main troop camps lay further away as if being cautious.
Chip settled his fighter down on the landing pad, the rest followed suit .  The pilots walked towards the information office, and found a young imperial sorting through data pads and file briefings.
"LCRW Shazam, LCRW Chip, LCRW Chath reporting in for duty.  We've been sent from the Atrus to investigate the hidden mercenary base." Chip announced.
"Oh...  Yes, alright.  Well, start searching." the young man said shakilly.  The three of them looked at eachother uneasily.
"We're arn't being assigned to groups, or certain area's to cover?" Chip asked.
"Well...  There's three of you right now, go on ahead as that group.  See what I care.  As for certain areas, we don't care where you search, you might come across something no-one else did.  So researching same area's may be nessasary." The young man said.  "Plus," he started to explain even more," these guys are mercenaries...  And there probably good, and I mean very good.  They'd know where we are at all times.  If we even stumbled across something of theres, they'd probably find out.  Anyways, good luck," he said, and went back to his piles of data.
JMac appeared behind them with Liquid at his side.  "You guys going into the forest after that base?" he asked.
Chath nodded as Chip slung his shotgun over his shoulder.
"Well, we could use more than two guys..." JMac said, guestering to Liquid and himself.
"Yes, five is a much nicer number for these activities.  Let's get moving." Shazam said, and the rest made approving looks.
They got a ride about a mile or two into the forest from a Imperial outpost ranger, then were dropped off with whatever gear they had.
They walked for two hours, Chath stopping several times to pick up things he called 'Interesting Items' until JMac would pull him up to his feet and tell him to continue on.  Two of three times, they thought they had stumbled across something, but found nothing.
They traveled for about an hour longer, and took a rest.  Chath's back was packed and he was getting tired.  Liquid took a drink from a canteen he had apparently brought for the trip.  JMac seemed content making rocks circle around his hand.  He wasn't in any real deep focus, but he seemed to be doing two things at once.
The rocks floated into JMac's hand, and he closed it into a fist.  He looked up...  Liquid suddenly looked over at him as well.  "I hear it too..." he said, almost in a whisper.  The three LCRW's glanced at eachother, making sure not to make any sudden moves.
JMac suddenly became very quiet, he walked a few paces into a clearing, and made a motion for the others to follow.  They walked a few more paces, now crossing into the brush.  Liquid turned his head and put his fingers to his lips.  "Shhh..."
Shazam tried to be as quiet as possible, but the harder he tried to stay quiet, the louder he seemed to have become.
Finally, JMac spread two bushs apart, this led to a beautiful site.  Chath ran past JMac into a hurry, and put his hands to the clean water.
A waterfall sat in the clearing; beautiful clean water dropped from atleast a kilometer above.  Brush surrounded the small clearing, and various fruits and vegitables lined a small garden.  They'd been planted, Shazam thought to himself.  "Chath, get your ass back here." JMac shouted in a whisper.
Chath became aware of the garden and the seemingly elegant beauty of the place.  He drew his blaster, and stood up very slowly.  JMac took out his comlink while Liquid drew his lightsaber.  "Base, we've got a location.  This place matches the description perfectly.  They've even got a large garden.  We can tell it isn't natural, they've been grown in straight lines...  I think..." He broke of his com, and replaced it with his lightsaber.  He held his hand perfectly verticle infront of him, the rest of them stood at ready.
"Something is very wrong here," Liquid murmered to himself.  Shazam nodded.  He could almost feel it.  Chip ran through the details in his head.  Chath stood quietly, trying not to take any deep breaths as if they would give away his position.
"It's almost funny, how conviniently this place matchs our discriptions." Shazam added.  Liquid glanced around a bit more.
"Yea, it's almost too perfect." JMac said, just trying to say something.
A twig snapped.  "It's a trap!" Chip shouted, and jumped out of the clearing into a near by brush.  A man in camaflouge started heavy fire with a heavy repeater.  Liquid rolled parrelled JMac facing the opposite direction as another repeater started firing from the opposite end.  Shazam and Chath stayed low as two dozen armed men came out of the brush.
The two DJ's started deflecting the fire from the heavy repeater's, and Chath had tackled a nearby mercenary.  Shazam had drawn his trooper rifle and had blasted two men who had gotten in his line of fire.  A large, ferocious looking man stood with a vibro-blade in hand, and charged at Shazam.  Shazam took a clean shot to the large man's head, but to no avail. It was sheilded by some sort of mask.  He shot at his chest this time, it had no effect as he continued to charge.  He stepped back and took another shot to the mask.
Shazam heard a large blast and saw the gigantic man go down instantly.  Chip walked out of the brush, shotgun in hand.  Shazam jumped out of the way, as Chath jumped over a dead body and shot two bolts at a man standing behind Shazam with a stunner and several torture tools.
JMac managed to hit one of the repeater's gunners in the shoulder and took him out with his blaster.  He then turned in a three sixty and reflected a bolt that barelly missed Liquid.  JMac charged ahead at the repeater and blocked bolts coming his way.  Liquid then ran infront of him dodging and deflecting a few.  This went on until JMac was about 7 meters from the gunner.  Liquid flipped over him and cut the gunner down the middle.
A medium sized woman with blasters connected to her arms jumped behind Chath with a supreme quickness.  Chath hardly had time to look around before the woman had sweep kicked him to the ground.  JMac force pushed her into a tree, and one of her blasters went off, a bolt flew within an inch of Chath's head.
She turned to JMac.  She reached into a pack at her side, and retreived a small disk.  JMac ran at her and was ready to chop her down, when the small disk extruded a bright light, blinding him.  JMac was temperarilly un-able to see, but dropped himself into the forces complete control.  She started a wave of heavy blaster fire, and JMac deflected everyone with his eyes closed.
A man had been having a shoot-out with Chip between a few tree's, when Liquid sighted them.  The mercenary hid behind a tree as Chip unleashed a round on his cover.  Suddenly, Liquid sliced his saber throught the tree, and severed the man's spine with fury.  The man was dead within moments.
The woman who carried the blinding disk was still battling JMac.  Something hit her bag, and her blinding weapon flashed her in the eyes, making her throw her arms to her eyes.  JMac rolled around and cut her through the waist.
Soon, the small band of imperials had taken the field.  One man remained...  He threw a thermo over his shoulder in the hopes of escape.  The blast went off, but none of the imperials were even near it.  Shazam took off his sniper rifle and aimed carefully at the man.  He shot him in the leg, and the man foundered hopelessly.  JMac force pushed him to the ground as Liquid came from the other side and forced pulled his weapons from him.  He lay there, struggling to get up, then JMac sliced a small area of his leg off to stop him from getting away.
"So...  Do you wanna interegate today, or what?" JMac looked over at Liquid.  Liquid gave a charred smile.  Chip shrugged.

Daishi was ready to let loose a rant on whoever decided to go back down to that accursed planet in such a haphazard fasion.  They should have at least organized it a bit better so that the pilots who were forced to do the Army's job for them were properly equiped and breifed.

Very few of these pilots had ground combat expierience.  Very few knew what the situation was.

Daishi couldn't help but wonder why they didn't blast this planet into submission from orbit since the space battle had been decided.

Deciding to control himself Daishi just patiently waited for his orders.

(OOC:  All right, the comp is now over.  I should have the results soon.  Thanx to all for posting.  Continue posting here if you wish.  If any of our new story writers are looking for some constructive criticism, just ask, and I'll give you an honest assessment of your writing and what can be done better.)

As JMac was deciding on what to do about the prisoner, his comm chirped.

"Yes," he queried.

"JMac, this is Japheth.  We're mopping up the last of the rebel resistance around the planet, and the governor has capitulated.  Get your pilots back up here, so they can be debriefed.  We'll let the army take care of the remainder of the resistance when they get through playing around."

"Yes sir," the dark man answered.  We'll be right there." Turning to the few pilots that were gathered around them, he announced "Get to your ships and report to the Atrus for debriefing."

(I though the story was great.  I decided i'd better finish it up.  BTW, I got a ship out of the competion on the main comnet using random numbers...  I've decided to add that in just before we debrief.)

Apparently, while the league of five men ventured deep into a wildy forest, another group had searched the mess as well.  An underground generator had been found, and was routed back to the main power station, and then to a large base of opperations.  They were easilly crushed in thier sleep.
The group had traveled many a distance, and would probably have been stuck in the forest for quite some time more...  They had seperated into groups, intending to find the quickest path out.  Shazam took a side path away from Chath and had ventured to far.  He walked along a long path, but an odd smell filled his nostrils.  It was no natural smell...  It was very mechanical...
He crossed through some brush, and Chath had commed him telling him we was going to continue on north.  Shazam replied quickly and continued on down the path.
Large strong trees were snapped at the middle, and twigs and leaves alike burned in an infurno.  Shazam started into a jog, slow at first, but then began to get faster as the smell of engine filled his senses.  A Gozanti Cruiser lay on the beach unharmed.  There were several dead men around it...  Apparently killed many times over.  One man was brutally bashed in the school, although the first hit probably rendered him uncontious or in a coma.  He had been beated to death with some kind of dulled object.  Shazam drew his weapon.  The mercenaries had obviously done this, but there might have still been remnants.
The forest howled with life, and the birds hummed a toon, and Shazam's finger tightened on the trigger.  The cruiser seemed to be so innocent, but also very ominous.  He was almost afraid to think of what might be inside.  He scanned the area one last time before stepping towards the hatch on the side of the cruiser.  It was farelly large, larger than what he had been aloud to have for some time.  A bit of a transport really.
Shazam's hand closed on the hatch door hastilly, and in an instant...  Was pulled open.  Shazam stuck the barrel of his gun in the hatch with a quick double back.  The cabin was secure.  He lowered his weapon for a moment and stepped in.  It was warm, but had an emotional cold feeling that left Shazam with shivers down his back.  He held his blaster warilly infront of him.
He walked into various cabin rooms and gunnerys...  Nothing.  Then, he walked into the cargo hold.  Shazam nearlly dropped his gun.  Crates of explosives and other hazerdous chemicles lined the craft.  This had been a kamokazi ship.
The mercenary factor had been abolished before this craft had a chance for use, Shazam pondered.  Shazam picked up his com, and gave his quadrants for the others.  Of course he didn't tell them there were explosives in the back cargo hold, but he didn't try to pay it much mind in his own head.
The crew appeared, one by one.  They seemed to have split up themselves.  JMac gave a little hoot at the sight of the ship, and Liquid had been very cautious coming near it.  Chath and Chippy had seemed a bit more interested in it's origins when they had entered the area.
Chath issued the ship's ID number and the passenger's just before take off.  Chip sat in the back terminal, his body lay linp in one of the reclining chairs.  Liquid had taken it upon himself to navigate the ship and JMac had taken the liberty of doing the checklist.  Shazam got to pilot the small beast.  It hummed with excitement as they drifted upward.  Shazam injoyed the slow motion of the ship.  It wasn't incredibly slow, but not quick.  It picked up speed as they entered the atmosphere and out into space.
The ship had some nifty controls Shazam wasn't sure he'd ever really need.  Life support control was odd, and so was the amount of gravity allowed in the ship.  He supposed it was for moving cargo and such.  Shazam didn't care, but was content for quite some time.
JMac had suddenly lept from his seat and was running out of the room.  Liquid rushed to the cabin door and locked it quickly.  There were a few blaster shots, a pound on the door, and the pannicked scream of a man as he was being dragged somewhere.  A few minutes later, a knock came at the door and JMac announced himself.  Liquid opened the door slowly, as to see if it were really him.  The DJ stepped through the door with Chath and Chippy at his side, Chip had a slight blaster burn on his right hip and walked with a limp.
"What the hell happened back there?" Shazam said in exasperation.  Liquid said nothing, he sat there reading everyones thoughts.
"Well, I told Liquid to lock you guys into the cabin from the beggining, we can hear eachother and all ya know..." He smiled.  " Well, somebody had been hiding in the cargo hold, which by the way, you forgot to tell all of us that there's explosives hidden away." He said staring into Shazam's eyes with an ardent gaze.
"Anyways, we locked him a secure room with only one way out.  Space.  Heh...  He's basically our prisinor.  But I'm a bit tired of prisinors.  I say we get rid of 'em." JMac finished and sat down in the schematicator's chair.
"Basterd got a lucky shot on me, then Chath got him from the back and forced him into the room.  The door is sealed shut.  Jammed..." Chip informed them, indicating his blaster wound and some blood on his shirt from the stranger.
Shazam nodded and turned back to his command console.  "Hrm...  Well, I've got all of the nifty buttons...  Which one shall I use..." He walked over to the schematic's console JMac sat at, and clicked around the many ship options.  Life support came up instantly.  Running at 100% efficiancy it reported.  The ship was split up into four sections.
Shazam looked down at the monitor for a moment, then selected the "Cut-off" option on the life support schematic for section 3 or the ship.  It beeped for a moment.  The ship's hum died down a little bit, and some far lights dissapeared.  A scream rang out through the ship.  It was working.
Shazam continued to go throught the many displays and found emergency exit hydrolics.  He found the room the man had been in, and issued the command.
The group heard a small explosion as a hydrolic pump pushed the door a way, and revealed an exit to space.  The man was sucked into space and frozen instantly.  He flew past the cockpit windows.  They all stared for a moment.  Then switched thier gaze to the, getting closer all of the sudden, Atrus.
After they had docked, and walked out of the cold exit ramp room, they were quickly sent in many different directions.  Shazam got to go to the bridge and report his findings because of the explosives.
Daishi gave him a quick over view of what he had found and told him, in reward for finding the explosive, and being aloud to use it against the rebels in the future...  He was being rewarded by having the keys to the ship handed over to him.  Shazam had never actually owned a frieghtor or cruiser of any kind, but had to study about it at the academy.  That and was always vollenteering to fly freightors whenever possible.
Shazam walked back to the ship...  It lay in the hanger bay,  becoming elegant to Shazam's eyes for the first time.  The door that had been deployed would be fixed, he thought to himself.  Now, what I need to do, is fix it up real nice.  That way it isn't just some old cargo transport.  What do I need cargo rooms for?
Shazam rested on a couch in the captains cabin.  I've always wanted a yacht, he smiled to himself.  He would turn this ship into his own heavilly armed yacht...  Now all I need is a name...
"The Real Bebop," he whispered and closed his eyes.  This journey was over, but many other's would certainly take place with his now trusty heavilly armed yacht known as the Real Bebop...
