Greetings,
    This will be the final post I make for JO RPG. `TJ will be transferring these rules to a site, but in the meantime everything will be here. We played a game of RPG which went well, but it showed me that spies and mercs can be combined and that we need 3 more roles. NO skins have been added, so if there is no skin listed: just pick one from JK2 origninal skins. Anyways here is the new rules and roles. Characters- there are a wide variety of characters when one Role-plays. One must get down into their role and stick with it throughout the entirety of the game.

Bounty Hunters- ruthless individuals of the galaxy. A bounty hunter will be called upon by someone to do a task for an agreed amount. When the deed has been done, the amount must be paid by whoever hires them. (No, the hiring person cannot be themselves. The person who hires a hunter must have a role in the game and must meet with the hunter in secret and using the private chat by pressing "U" while the hunter is in their crosshairs.) The bounty hunter uses any means necessary to fulfill the deed except by means of a lightsaber. Skin=mandalorian

Sales Merchants- come in two types. The most common type of merchant wanders around with stuff to sell. On rare occasions packages will be asked for and must therefore go back to their ship to get the package. A price must be agreed on for all sales and it must be paid before anyone gets their merchandise. The other form sets up a stand and must therefore remain there until they close. Sales merchants work by themselves and have no help doing so. Merchants may carry whatever they feel is necessary for weapons because they deal in all weapons so they readily have them for stock. No light saber may be used. Skin=young emperor palpatine

Bartenders- stay at the bar and serve drinks. May not leave the bar until it closes and has an option of hiring a cook and server. It is not necessary though. Bartenders work by themselves unless they hire help. They do not get involved with the other characters except to serve drinks. They are however required to pay salaries to the server out of the profits. Bartenders may carry only a Bryar Pistol. They may  also carry forcefields, seeker droids, and other such items for defenses only.  Skin=chriss
   
Servers- hired by the bartender at their discretion. The servers interact with all players in the bar/restaurant. They bring the food/drinks to those ordering and may receive a tip on top of the price of the drinks. The server must bring the drink price to the bartender. The remainder of the money is their tip. Servers may carry no weapons except a stun baton. They may however carry forcefields, seeker droids, and other such items for defenses only. Skin=Aayla Secura

Mercenaries- work together to uncover a mystery or do investigate something suspicious. These people do get paid by whoever hires them however. A mercenary usually works with a partner and they usually are going around solving a puzzle or eliminating a bounty hunter. Spies may be working for someone or could be freelance. It is never made clear to anyone except those involved. All weapons but lightsaber may be used and force neutrals only. Skin=Kyle and Jan

Bodyguards- paid by those who feel threatened by the bounty hunters or assassins. Bodyguards come in pairs and in many types, but usually are Jedi. Jedi may only use light side powers and may only attack if absolutely unavoidable and may only use a light saber. Other bodyguards however may use high powered weapons to eliminate the threat quickly and effectively. Skin=Imperial Guard

Jedi- keepers of the peace in the galaxy. There may only two Jedis in the game-no more. Jedi have full access to the light side force and can readily use it anywhere. Jedi may only use a light saber and may opt to act as a bodyguard or to help with something "bigger".  Jedi may also opt to double as another role to get down and investigate whatever.  Usually their duties go no further than a bodyguard though. If doubling as a role, Jedi must conform to the rules of that role until they wish to reveal themselves as a jedi. Yes, that means skins too. Lightsabers must not be red but can be anything else. Skins taken from Jedi pack

Sith- when the Jedi get in the way, an assassin or a bounty hunter (or the one who hires them) may opt to seek the aid of the sith. The Sith come in two (and only two) but only one does anything unless the other is sought out. The master usually is disguised as a person of importance or something and can fully use all the dark side powers but must never reveal so unless he is found out. Also, the light sabers must be red and can be either a single or a staff no two sabers/staffs. The apprentice will go out to attack the Jedi to draw them away from the target. Once they are out of the way, the bounty hunter or assassin may proceed with their task. Skins taken from jedi pack

Hotel Managers- rent out the various rooms in the game for so much a nite. Prices can not go over 250 Credits and must effect the quality of the rooms. Hotel mangers may carry simple weapons and any projectiles they feel necessary. Neutral force is to be used and must be used wisely. Hotels may choose to have a store/bar tied in with them depending on the willingness of the bartender/shopkeeper to operate there.

Imperial police- keep the order in the game. If people get out of line it is up to the police to either put them in line or get them kicked out. That can be achieved by either killing them once to see if they will behave, or calling a vote to kick them out. If the vote is not called by the imperial police or the Host, the players are required to vote no on the called vote. Weapons that can be used are E-11 Blaster and Heavy Imperial Repeater. If backup is needed, the g2platoon command may be used. (Seek hosts permission before using) Imperial police may fine the troublemaker if they stay in the game, if not they must fine whoever they were helping by removing the player.

Doctor/Nurse- run the hospital to heal people. The healing does not come for free though. The hospital runs almost like a shop. You can buy bacta and/or shields. Doctors may carry a bryar pistol and any other projectiles they find nessecary (e g : force field, seeker droid, etc.) Doctors and nurses may also carry light side force in full as well as use whatever skin they find appropriate. NO Lightsaber!

Locations- though the maps will be different and the areas new, each map usually has common themes. There are expected guidelines that must be followed otherwise, characters will be frozen still (yes, it is possible). Keep in find this is not FFA so don't go on a killing spree.

Bars- usually places to find information and relax-or both! Bars are usually peaceful until a fight breaks out. Neutral forces may be used in the bars only. Ex: jump speed push pull. No weapons other than stun baton and no dark side force. Allow everyone to enjoy themselves.

Main overworld- if you are supposed to be shooting shoot, if you need to defend, defend. All forces and weapons (that you're allowed to carry) may be utilized here as long as it can be justified as to why you're using it.

Hangars- these places are used to escape and for some merchants to conduct their business. Do not interfere with these dealings unless you were hired to do so (bounty hunters, Jedi, sith, spies, and assassins only) before exiting a game each player must go to the ship in a hangar (if available) and go to spectate or just leave. Depending on if the game is going to end, or the character needs to leave.

Hospitals- yes, I am going to have hospitals in the game. There will be a doctor and/or a nurse on duty. I will allow any skin that you feel is appropriate as long as it comes from JO skins and not a downloaded skin. The sole purpose of the hospital is to provide bacta tanks and armor shields. However keep in mind that these people are wounded already so no fighting of any sort is to go on at the hospital.

Character Rules- although guidelines were given above, there are more rules that need to be layed out here. It applies to characters in general.

Skins- Let's face it JK2 did not give a wide variety of skins to allow us to RPG with. You will have to download these skins or we will see a whole lot of Kyles running around. Sites will be provided for all skins, so don't worry about having to find them.  Sith and Jedi are in the skin pack listed.  For bounty hunters we will be using a skin that gives the look of Boba/Jango. Bartenders can find some skin in JO (the blue-faced skin for the bartender) Spies will wear like a ninja-skin.

Force- everyone will carry some kind of force. The non-jedi/sith people will only have the neutral forces at level 3 at their disposal. No exceptions. Jedi and Sith apprentices may carry forces at level 2 strength. Same goes for Jedi apprentices. Jedi and Sith masters may carry level 3.

Jedi Duels- At some point in the game the Jedi and sith will have to duel. In each RPG level there is a proper arena for doing so. If for some reason a fight must be settled in the public, please resort to using the saber challenge so that the innocent people do not get hurt. IF you're going to duel though, be sure that it fits into the RPG.

Chatting- private messages may be used only for a few cases. One would obviously be to ask how to do something. Another would be in the case of the secret plans of bounty hunters. If you have a partner, you may use a PM to confer with them. In the bartenders case he has 2 partners.  To use a PM just hit "U" when whoever you want to talk to is in your crosshairs. Anything that has to do with the story may just be typed using the public chat. (If you're saying something that relates to the game) If you need to speak out of character, use () around your words like this: (Hey! Does anyone know where the hangar is?) If you're character is doing an action that you want made known use the stars. For example: I have a briefcase that I want to give to Cosmic. I would say *hands the briefcase over to Cosmic. Otherwise just use regular conversation that your character would say. YOU need to bring this character to life.

Weapons  again, use only the weapons you need to or you will kill the effect of the game. I can't emphasize how much this is important.

Cheating- cheats will be enabled on the server but only for the sole purpose of being able to give people items and such. No using cheats in ways that are considered cheating like god mode or ghost mode.

Plots- Storyline plot may be worked out before we start or we just may wing it. It all depends on what kind of game we want to play.

Server- Depending on the willingness to convert the VE server into a RPG server, I may or may not have individual hosts. Certain settings must be turned on and I don't know if the High Council is willing to compromise the quality of game play for the other JO games. If we have individual hosts, we will most likely meet on the zone first so that only the host needs to turn on the mod. We can do IP, but that might get messy! Also pure server must be turned off for those who may be hosting with good connections.

So check this thread often as it will be constantly updated with times and then again after the game to give a report of how it went.

Okay, I need someone who is capable of not only hosting a game, but someone who has a good PC/Internet Connection. Unfortunately this weekend nobody showed up, and next weekend I am on vacation. I will help whoever volunteers on how to set things up. I will hopefully have a surprise for you guys next time we do an RPG, so plan on doing that. Anyways, let's get me a volunteer; and may the will to host be with you!

Its kind of hard to explain. Basically, I have a mod that enables us to use Imperial Credits and we will have roles in the game. The shopkeeper is the only way to get weapons (besides bryar and lightsaber) and then we have a bartender. If you want to set up a time, I can show you how to use the mod completely. When you speak, your speaking in character. Stuff like that.

We start in a few weeks. As of now, I have just about found skins for the roles. Once I am done that, I will begin going through the maps looking for possible storylines. I am working on my first one at this very minute. I will release a new version of the rules shortly, but we will be having some weeks that there will be a unique character or two. Basically, I will be using all the old skins that are listed, so if you guys want to prepare: dowload all the old skins/maps. If the new style don't work, I will go back to the old style that you all like. Basically, I'm going to try and make it RPG-ish. The only actual storyline will be in the beginning, but after that we all must contribute to it in anyway we feel necessary. Kinda like a comnet storyboard. Rema and FA offered to help me out with this, and at the minute I don't have a need for any more helpers. There are still bugs to work out, so I need to take a few more weeks. We will also meet first on IRC to dish out roles, and provide any ansers to questions asked. About Saturday, I will give you guys a preview of our storyline.
