OOC:How many people can land speeders hold?  I am trying to locate that on the internet and all the ones I am finding say 2 people... where is the main site people reference for this.. I use starwars.com and google for stats a lot, and this site http://www.swcombine.com/rules/vehicles/ anyone have some others that would help? OOC/

OOC: Sorry about the mess, *Hands over gold coin* Use this to clean it up. Now can we PLEASE get back to the story?

Upon finally catching up with the landspeeders, TJ leaped aboard one of them with the help of the force. The driver gave some kind of hard time telling TJ to get off, but TJ knocked the driver unconcious by whailing them over the head with his lightsaber handle. The driver was brought to the back, out of the way so TJ could drive. With TJ in control of the landspeeder, he drove it along to take out some of the other threats walking around with guns.

Rizzit was still a little shaky from being under that heavy corpse, but he was starting to come through. A second landspeeder drove by Rizzit in an attempt to take care of TJ on his comphiscated speeder. It was now or never Rizzit decided, he needed to take out that speeder. Rizzit made a pathetic excuse for a dive to get onto that speeder. It looked stupid, something a SL had never been seen doing before, but it worked. Rizzit took his rifle from his belt and knocked out the driver pretty much the same as TJ had done with his lightsaber handle. Rizzit carried the driver to the back quickly so as the speeder would not crash, he then resumed controls of the landspeeder. Upon looking at the controls, Rizzit found the communication controls. Rizzit established a contact with TJ's speeder.

"TJ, this is Rizzit. Let's take out the trash, then we'll find out what we can from these two unconcious drivers we have in the landspeeders."

"Copy that. I can see the squad took out most of them. Two remain and Snipes gets the pleasure of dealing with him so they're good as dead."

"In that case let's meet over by the mines, and everyone can meet us there." Rizzit said as he closed the link.

Snipes as expected pulled off something tricky. He began running away from the two enemies, and in the process laid a detonation pack in the dirt. "These are small, but they sure pack a punch!" he thought to himself. The two idiots followed Snipes of course and did not see the det pack. When they stepped on it, KABOOM! they went flying in the air. Snipes then proceeded to head over to the mines where most of the squad had already assembled. Rizzit was awaing Snipes and Otto-who was almost there. When Snipes and Otto joined up with the squad Rizzit greeted them and had some orders for them.

"Okay RAIDERS good job. We're going to split up into groups now. TJ and Otto: first thing you will do is take these two out of the speeder and bind them somehow. Jed: you and I will go check out the area. I want to see if there is any more threats around here. Don't worry though, we're taking the speeders. You get a break. Mara and Jyse: you guys are going to try and make contact with home. See if we can't get some kind of transport when we're ready to go. Let's face it, we don't want to have to pile 9 bodies on the floor of a skyhopper. Also, try and tap into the planets archives. See if we can't find any bases around here as to where these goons may have come from. TJ and JR: You will question these drivers and find out who they work for and why they attacked us. More importantly, where are they operating from and if they are linked to the pirates we came down here to find out about. Lastly, Otto Snipes and Cos: you three will go explore the mines. See if anything cannot be found out about the theft of nova in here. Don't forget we need the supply of nova! It's one of our primary needs, so don't steal any. With that said any questions?" Rizzit asked.

The group was silent. Rizzit looked around and saw everyone was pretty confident at what they have to do.

"In that case, TJ and Otto: please get these drivers out of the speeders so Jed and I can get out of here." Rizzit said.

TJ and Otto removed the bodies from the speeders, then waved as Jed and Rizzit sped off in the speeders. Everyone knew that the mission was far from over, but they were at least making steady progress in completing the goals. With any luck, the pirates would be located soon and the RAIDERS could dispose of them quickly; but everyone knew that was only a possibilty and they were far from being that close.

OOC: k well here is why I am asking for info on the vehicles.  I think we are posting without using common rules like what vehicles can truly do.  I don't think they allow that kind of posting in the DJO and if anyone has interest of going that direction you might want to work on your proper well thought out post prior to posting.  For example (Not to pick on snipes but his was the most recent) but I am doing a search on Landspeeders, since no one will help me out with where to look for stats on them I search google.  I find X-34 and V-35 Landspeeders, (on starwars.com and three other sites)  neither which carry 4 people.  The most would be three people or two people and two droids... anyway are we lax on the posts here?  Do we not care about realism is this just practice here so we don't get particular about these things?  Cause if so I will just post anything and if it doesn't make sense oh well.  Just makes it hard to plan a post when I am thinking about how to attack someone or something with what I have and what they have when I don't know the rules.  If we decide to make the rules up as we go, let me know, if we decide to set rules to post and expect some sort of standard then let me know, I will volunteer to post a list of the vehicles and weapons and their stats so that we can follow them in our posts. I know that people here have expressed interest in becoming a Dark Jedi and I think it would be great to try to practice our posting skills and improve them to increase our chances when we do apply to the DJO.  /Mara steps off soap box and shuffles off OOC/

OOC: did find an X-10 that would work, but it was a Corporate Sector Authority groundcruiser... there are a couple others still looking.. most are not the kind that would be where we are though, and the civilian modified ones are small... sigh OOC/

JR was pacing in front of the two enemies that TJ was questioning.  His frustration was beginning to increase as the two men refused to talk.  He finally lost it pulled out his blaster and shot carefully right between the heads of the enemy.  Just then TJ stopped and looked towards in the direction that Rizzit and Jed had just left.  JR understood exactly what that meant and took off running towards them.

As he got closer he saw the Coway shoot Jed and Rizzit open fire, and ran even faster blasting as he went.  He barrel rolled as a arrow whized by him and leaped into the speeder with Rizzit.

"Hey Teej seensed something, what should I do." JR asked.

Rizzit  thought and told him, "I know you've never done this but go up in a tree and snipe aas many of these things as you can."

JR was happy since this was something he had always wanted to do.  He hopped over the speeder almost stepping on Jed.  When he remembered Jed was lying there he bent down and moved him back on the speeder.  He then ran off towards a tree climed up and still smiling pegged his first Coway.

Snipes was hiding in the shadows about 10 yards ahead of Cos, Snipes knew he was the better shot, but with something as fragile as sneaking up on somebody, well Cos was jittery and he couldnt afored many mistakes, wich brought him back to the point of why he had done this in the first place.
The light they had been moving of was that of a uttility crawler and some glow lamps, but all they could tell from outside the light was that ther wher 2 well dressed humans with Coway standing on either side of them discussing something harshly with a group that was led buy another human and had couple of rodians lounging behind him and a bothian fingering a blaster at his side. as Snipes crept closer he was trying to over hear them.
". . .NO! Mytek! that was not the price we agreed apon!" one of the well dressed men yelled at the other human, who was apperently Mytek
"prices change Dravon, the trade gets more dangerous as we go"Mytek said casualy"and you dont controle all coway friend, i'm sure you saw the warnings on the way in"
Dravons face appeared to go white, but he held to his point" that dosent matter, you were informed that mioght happen, you knew the dangers perfectly well!"

Snipes stoped wher he stood, he watched for another moment as the two argued back and forth much the same for another few minutes, then he slowly turned and crept back to the nitch Cos was hidihg in. the trooper looked like he was going to say something but Snipes silenced him with a finger. and wispered"we wait for the SL"

Snipes and Cos waited in almost complete silence for about fiteen minutes untill Snipes cought sight of the squad creeping down the hall, he saw one of them point, musthave been Otto, in there direction and the who must be Rizzit Nod and lead the squad in thier direction, but wait, something was wrong, Snipes counted them, ther was one too many, Snipes wispered this fact to Cos and decided he probly shouldnt have becuase the trooper started glacing all around him like a cornered animal. When the squad got close enought for him to speak to them without the men down the hall hearing he let out a sharp
"hold it!"
only to get odd looks from everyone else and them someone nodded and the one Snipes had thought was Rizzit pulled his helmet silently off to reaveal non other than Rizzit.
"whats wrong with you Snipes!"he hissed
"i guess i miscounted, i thought ther was one extra of you"Snipes said sounding confused and annoyed
"oh, ther is, we have a new trooper, Fallen, this is Snipes, Snipes, Fallen."
they exchanged hasty and quiet greetings
"Fallen is our Heavy Weaps guy now, you'll like him he likes explosions"Rizzit gave cough that was just a little to long and sounded something like shrapnel-face"Snipes is out combat engineer, as you may have guessed he to like explosions. but he mainly exceeds in marksmenship. anyway wher wher we, ah yesm who are these men up here?" Rizzit said pointing to the men in the light who wher still argueing
"ther're argueing over the prie of something, one man also has Coway backing him, the other has a a coupla Rodians and a bothian, but i think ther are more behind what i could see"

"about 16 around that cave, but most are in a vehicle"

As Rizzit lead his small trio towards the back entrance to the mines, Jed piped up and said, "Hey rizz, what happened to those two prisoners TJ and JR interrogated."

"Well jed, Tj made them think they were 6 year old little school girls. They're with Mara and Jyse, probably playin with sticks or something"

Fallen Angel chuckled briefly, then went back to his stone-cold demeanor. They trio's going was slowed by the fact that a heavy fog had laid in, and it was becoming night again.

"kinda wish we brought TJ with us rizz, would've been nice to split up our dark jedi." Angel whispered

"only problem with that angel,"  Rizzit replied, "is that the mines are more treacherous than out here, so they need all the advantages they can get. Now no more talking lets move"

The trio crept along slowly, keeping sight of the mine at all times. Angel kept his attention focused to what was going on away from the mines. The Coway were still a threat, and while he hadn't faced them yet, he was well aware of their hunting abilities. I don't like being blind and senseless out here, but Rizzit knows what hes doing...i just wanna find that entrance quick...this place gives me the creeps. he thought to himself.

Rizzit suddenly ordered the trio to a hault, when he heard he whine of an ion engine starting up. Angel shouldered his ESPO grenade launcher and leveled it in the direction of the engines.

"Permission to fire sir?" he inquired.

"HELL NO" Rizzit said sharply, "We're here to find out who these people are, not blow the bejeezus out of them, put that away, you can have your fun later when things get hairy."

"Yessir" Angel replied. a thin smile grew on his face as he imagined whatever it was out there blowing up nicely and illuminating this god forsaken dark. Kill two birds with one stone he thought again.

Rizzit ordered them to slowly advance toward the sound. They could now see the glow of the engines in the distance. the engines were glowing white, in an arc shape.

"I know that engine design" jed said quietly, "Correllian YT-1300 freighter. It's most definitely smugglers then. They;re the only ones stupid enough to use those pieces of junk."

Angel seemed to remember a story about a Correllian freighter that helped destoy the first Death Star, but couldn;t recall the details.

Rizzit heard footsteps approachin and gave the signal for everyone to lie down. As he hunkered down Angel producde his vibroblade and throwing knives, "The silent assassins" he liked to call them. The three heard people talking.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT STORMTROOPER DOiNG DOWN THERE!!!" one said.

"I don't know, maybe he was a scout from the local moff, or garrison." a different voice said, "calm down, the imperials don't even know were stealing they're stuff.

Angle began to keep track of the voices, the first he named angry, the second, ignorant.

angry replied, "of course they do, why else do you think that trooper was there/ Why would the imperials send someone if they didn't suspect something?"

A third voice, one Angel dubbed arrogant, piped up and said "boys, come on, the troopers dead, we got what we came for, we'll leave some Coway here if theres anymore. they can more than handle a few green recriuts the Empire would send to a place like this. Theres at least 30 Coway in and around the mines. Standard Imperial Squad is 9 troopers, i think the coway can handle them. lets get going to the other mines."

Who are they talking about, which trooper...i need to contact otto, but that would compromise both our situations. Otto knows what he's doing. I'll find out what happened later. Right now we need to think of a way to stop these guys.

They heard the three walk off, then Rizzit ordered them to slowly get to their feet. They heard the engines charge up. Angel sprang into action and ran straight for the sound, he produced a small tracking device from his pocket and hurled it straight for the engines. He heard it hit metal, then he hit the deck. A low grumbling started up, then grew to a roar, as the coway had been alerted to his presence. He heard the engines blast the freighter away, and the world became dark again. Heavy footsteps started coming his way...oh, god. he thought He got up to his feet and bolted for the trees to his right. Duckin behind a tree, he hoped Rizzit had heard the roar, and would be coming to his rescue... if not, Mara better have that duct tape ready...

Angel poked his headout from behind the tree, and almost had it chopped off. Guess its time to put these babies to work he thought, producing his "silent assassins." Drawing one blade in each hand, he stabbed the arm,and leg of the Coway attacking him, then spun and jabbed both into the side of its neck. The knives became lodged in the coways spine, so he  released the knives and produced 2 of his last 4. This time he saw the coway coming, and impaled both knives into its chest with a mighty throw. He pulled out his last two knives, and sliced his way through the 2 remaining coway.

Angel paused after this, sweat pouring from his body. Then he came to a sudden and stomach wrenching realization... he had no idea where he was on the planer. Between the running and the fighting, he had lost track of his position. He dared not risk a com transmission, since he had no idea whether Rizzit was still hiding, or if the Coway had engaged them.

He had just finished this thought, when an arrow buried itself in his shoulder...DAMN he thought, Here come more, and all my knives are gone, its too dark to use the ESPO...guess its reapeater time. He broke off the end of the arrow, and shouldered his repeater....

"ALRIGHT YOU COWAY DOGS.....COME GET SOME!!!!" He was about to pull the trigger, when he heard 4 blaster shots, and 3 thuds. That sounded alot like an E-11 he thought.

A few seconds later, Rizzit and Jed emerged from the darkness. "We followed these Coway to you, figured that they'd come after you....looks like they werent the first batch" Rizzit said, taking a look at the 4 cut up coway bodies bloodying the grass. "Nice work, whered you learn that?"

"A bounty hunter has to learn to kill without sound, and without conscience...before i joined the VEA, i was a bounty hunter/assassin for hire...these knives are my calling card." Angel replied, picking himself up off the grass, then dislodging his knives from the dead carcasses.

"Angel, I'm gonna have to have a talk with you about that stunt you pulled back there. While it was brave. helpful, and a good thing to do, it was dangerous to not only yourself but to us and the rest of your squad. NEVER do that again..but good work with the tracking device." Rizzit winked at him then muttered under his breath "Just like Jubei would have done."

Angel smiled at this comment, then tore off a piece of cloth and to bandage his wound. he yanked the arrow out of his arm, then ties the cloth around the wound.

"That reminds me Angel, why dont you have your armor on?" Rizzit inquired.

"Well sir, i left it on the shuttle, i cant see is that helmet in this lighting, and the white kinda stands out a little bit...gues i wanted to blend in..." Angel replied.

"Well if you were wearing it you wouldn't have a hole in your arm now would you?"

"No sir"

"Good, now lets move out before more COway come and see your handiwork." With that the trio left the area, and made their way to the secret entrance to the mines. They arrived there quickly, only to find it guarded by at least 10 Coway.

"Angel, can you see well enough to use that ESPO?" Rizzit asked

"AB-SO-LUTE-LY sir" Angel replied with a wide smile..."Ive been waiting to try this puppt out..."

He shouldered his grenade launcer, and extended the sight. he aimed dead center of the group of Coway, then pulled the trigger...

After a while walking down the path, the three began to hear voices.

"Keep a low profile." Rizzit whispered. "We don't want to get caught."

As they continued down the path, the voices got louder and louder. Rizzit and the others knew they were talking about one thing: them. With it known that there was another presence on Mimban, they were beginning to worry. The time had come to pack up and run, but they wanted to take as much with them as they could. Rizzit knew that he had to contact Otto now. They would be confronting the pirates soon, and 3 people would not be enough. Rizzit motioned for everyone to fall back a bit to make chances less of them being heard. Rizzit picked up his comlink to contact Otto.

"Otto, this is Rizzit." he said in a low key"we're in, but I need an idea of where you are. There's this group of people talking about us, can you hear them?"

"Ya Rizz, I hear them. They're getting ready to leave with I think 5 ships full of nova crystals. We're real close to them. I can see the crystals as they load up. I wouldn't mind some of these crystals, they're all green and shiny...."

"Otto! Get a grip! We're here to stop the pirates and get the crystals. Now, are the pirates all in a group or are they scattered?"

"They're scattered. I think they still have a long ways to go. They keep moving at this upbeat, fast pace."

"Well, now's the time to strike. Get your flame carbine ready, and Fallen Angel has his Grenade Launcher. I'm going to have him create a distraction. I will pick off whoever comes towards us. That distraction will be your cue to move in. So get Mara and Jyse in here and ready to fire. It'll take us a while cause we moved back to contact you so as not to blow our cover."

"That's good. Jyse fixed my comlink so it only rumbles. He's really quite skilled. We'll be ready to open fire."

"Okay, I'll meet up with ya soon! Rizzit out!" Rizzit said as he turned off his comlink and put it on his belt. He then proceeded to call over Jed and Fallen Angel to explain to them what was going on. Fallen was so excited seeing as he got to use his "new toy" to create a distraction. When Rizzit was done, and they were all ready, the three headed down the rest of the shaft.

"hey boss" Angel whispered."i've got a good idea for a distraction. can you get TJ on the com for me?"

"ok...but this better be good." rizzit replied. "Otto, i need you to give the comlink to TJ, Angel wants to talk to him, he's got something up his sleeve."

Rizzit handed the comlink to Angel, as TJ picked up the other end.

"Hey TJ, its Angel, listen, can you levitate one of the those crates of nova crystals over the pirates?" angel inquired.

"Ya, but i need to have line of sight on them."TJ replied.

"Dont worry, I'll cover ya, I'll be down there in 1 minute. meet
me outside the entrance. Angel out."

Rizzit and Jed stared in disbelief at Angel as he shouldered his ESPO. "you;re not seriously gonna blow that crate up are you?" Jed asked

"of course i am," Angel replied, "What goods a distraction is noone dies?" with that he jogged off into the darkness. Nagel crept down the corridor, reaching the entrance just after TJ.

"So how many are there TJ?" Angel asked.

"27 by my count. looks like 10 humans 9 Coway 5 rodians and 3 twi'lek. The coway are guarding the entrance just ahead of us."

"Ok great lets get started. once i fire, take cover, theres gonna be a little shrapenel." Angel warned

TJ closed his eyes and let the force flow through him. he pictured the box in his mind, then moved it up, and over the Coway standing guard. he could sense their puzzled looks and feelings stemming from having a crate floating above their head.

Angel dove out intothe entrance, rousing the guards from their dazed state.  He flashed them a quick smile then pulled the trigger. Angel dove to his right and  hit the wall. he felt bones hin his shoulder break, and grunted with the pain. He squatted below a rock just as he heard the KAAABBBOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!

he could hear shards of crystal shooting past his hiding place, and heard them bouncing all over the chamber. Then there were the coway screams as they were torn limb from limb by huge pieces of crystal. Angel felt a something hit his side, and looked down to see a piece of crystal had embedded itself into his side. Great, im really getting torn up

The next sound he heard was the sound of Otto's flame carbine, and E-11 blasters as Raiders squad filled the room. TJ thumbed his lightsaber to life, and got up to join his comrades. Angel staggered to his feet,  and placed his last two ESPO grenades into the engines of two shuttles. then dropped the ESPO and shouldered his heavy repeater, then made his way into the fray....

Angel dove to his left as he heard the grenades explode. He landed hard on his left shouder, and he could feel ligaments tear, and joints grind. he gasped from the pain. After the whizzing of the crystal shards stopped, he struggled to his feet and looked around. 3/4 of the pirates were dead. there were still 5 humans and 2 twi'lek. all the coway and rodians were dead, and 3 freighters were out of commission. Angel saw 2 of the remaining humans preparing one of the freighters for lift off.

angel saw that the other RAIDERS were busy dealing with the survivors, so he knew he had to stop that freighter. his ESPO was out of ammo, so he had one option left. Only problem was that he was ont he opposite side of the cavern, and there was a light fight going on between him and the shuttle.

'It mustt be done." he reassured himeself. "You can do this"

Angel took off at a dead sprint across the cavern floor. He dodged left and right, avoiding dead bodies and laser blasts. he was almost there when he felt an intense burning across his back. He reached behind him, and drew his hand back bloodied. Great another hour in the tank he thought.

he reached the freighter ramp just as it was lifting. He dove, tucked and rolled on board. He tried to handspring himself upright when got up the ramp, but his left should buckled, and he could feel more ligaments and tendons tearing. at least 2 more hours he thoughtmeans im up to at least 5.

He could feel the engines coming to life, and he knew he didnt have much time. he dashed down the corridor, and burst into the cockpit, taking the humans by surprise. Their shocked looks turned to fear as he leveled his repeater on them.

"DONT MOVE A DAMN MUSCLE" angel shouted. Of course humans will be humans, and since they were smugglers they had undoubtedly sampled some glitterstem spice, and weren;t too bright.

The human to his left went for his disruptor rifle, and Angel cleanly put a few round through his head, splattering his brains all over the control panel. the second one produced a knife and jabbed it into Angel's arm, causing him to drop the repeated. the human then delivered a swift kick to the chest, and Angel began to see spots, as the wind was knocked out of him, and he heard ribs crack.

Angel staggered back, then collapsed onto the floor. he tried to get up, but couldn;t breathe. The human picked up angel's repeater, and stood over him. guess i wont need the tank after all...one bright side of dying He saw a flash, then felt heat course over his body....he opened his eyes and the human was gone, just a pile of ash. Angel saw a nice clean hole through the cockpit window, and new what happened. Snipes man, i owe you a round back at base. he saw snipes peek out from behind his sniping spot, and angel offered him a quick nod of appreciation, then went to check out the ship...

Angel had finshed checking out the ship and was about to leave, when mara boarded.

"Christ Angel you're worse than snipes. He didnt even get hurt this time...ok lets check you out." Mara said with a pained look on her face.

"Hey, getting beat to crap is part of the family tradition. Lemmie tell you about this one time my brother and IH squad had to take out this superweapon..."

"save it for later angel, we need to get you patched up right away."

Mara went to work with her duct tape, sealing the wounds on Angels back and arm. then She made a sling for his left arm, to restrict the movement in his shoulder that was torn to hell. Then she helped him to his feet, and they went back down the boarding ramp.

They had just gotten off the ship, when they saw TJ lop off one of the remaining pirates arms. The pirate screamed and fell, the scent of charred flash filling the chamber. Otto and rizzit finished off the last pirates, using hand to hand combat so as to be able to interrogate them.

Rizzit took one look at Angel, shook his head, and laughed, "you know you're familt sure has some strange traditions angel. I'd prefer it if you tried to get rid of this one from now on...duct tape isnt cheap."  the rest of the squad laughed, the first time they''d been able to since the mission started. Even snipes breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that he escaped without major harm. it was then that the adrenaline began to wear off, as the battle ended and fatigue set in.

"ok guys, lets wrap this up. does naybody know how to pilot one of these ships?" Rizzit asked.

Angel raised his good hand, "ya i can, but i'll need a co-pilot...hey otto you could come with me, we'll share stories about my brother."

Otto's jaw dropped, and the entire squad almost passed out from laughing.

"just kidding sir, but i'd like to have you along for the ride home."

"alright angel lets do it." Otto said...

Angel gently lifted the freighter off the ground, with everyone on board. 9 RAIDERS...well 9 living... and 3 prisoners. TJ was working tirelessly in the back interrogating the prisoners, trying to find out exactly who they were, and who theire boss was. he used every jedi trick he knew, but somehow they could block him out, and he found nothing. he retired to his bunk to meditate and promised them a new session when he awoke, and was refreshed.

"Rizz this is angel, it'll take us 30 mins to orbit the planet to pick up cos." he said over the ships comm.

"roger that, while were waiting see if you cant give TJ a hand with the prisoners." rizzit replied.

"Affirmative,I'll be back in a second." angel said. "Otto, take the controls, let me know if anything happens.

Angel left the cockpit and made his way back. he stopped by his bunk to pick up his knife set good for interrogations he thought. He reached the room where the prisoners were held just as TJ was leaving.

"3 possibilities here angel, 1, they know nothing, 2 they are too doped on spice to remember, or 3 they have a wat of resisting my jedi skills."

"well they may resist mental attacks, but they cant resist physical. go get your rest, I'll take over. but when you come back, you may want to bring a mop." Angel said with a grin

"you know angel, you are kinda scary..." TJ said.

"oh i bet you say that to all the guys Teej" angel replied with a laugh. "i was only joking...i'll clean the mess myself..." with that angel shut the door and turned towards the already exhausted prisoners.

"While i was a bounty hunter, i learned a few techniques that may help here... have you ever heard of the thousand cuts? Well let me inform you." A look of fear built up in one of the prisoners eyes. Angel saw this and knew he could exploit it.

"I think I'll start with you..."angel said, pointing to the terrified pirate. "now, normally i start with the hands, then the feet, then the ears, and just slice the extremities, but for you i think I'll make an exception...maybe the nose would be a good first victim..."

Angel took out one of his blades and pressed it to the pirates face.."Now we can do this the easy way, or the hard way...easy way you tell me what i want to know, and i let you live...with all pieces attached...hard way..i cut you apart piece by piece until you talk..then once you've bled to death...I'll move on to your buddies..."

the pirate broke down and cried, then said, "I don tknow alright, i wasnt told who we were working for..it was just a job..."

Angel stormed out of the room saying "I'm going to get some towels, this will be messy..."

"WAIT" another of the prisoners said..."I'll tell ou, just let us alone. we only know the name he goes bye...actually  you may know him too...he's an ex-imperial, thats why he presumed to know so much about you guys and your methods and techniques. his name was Swomz alright? SWOMZ..."

Otto and Fallen's freighter exited hyperspace over Tadath just as Otto came out of meditation. Otto stood up and walked over to the co-pilot's chair of the ship.

  "Everything set?" he asked Fallen

"Totally," he responded "You all refreshed and bathed in the Force now?"

  "Heh, yeah" Otto chuckled.

The comm crackled and a flunky's voice came over the speaker

"Corellian Freigter this is Vast Empire Control, what is your cargo and destination?"

Otto pressed the reply button "Vast Empire Command, this is Sergeant First Class of Raiders Squad, our destination is the Army Command Center, our cargo is a dead Raider and 3 prisoners, I am sending the correct identification codes through to you now."

The comm officer clicked off to check the codes and when the comm clicked back on, a different voice came over the speakers.

  "SFC Otto Vox, this is LG Fury, welcome home. Land in bay 32, there will be a squad there to escort your prisoners to the detention area and carry your dead squad members' body off the ship. I understand you have orders to wait for Rizzit, when he arrives, come with him to my office. Japer, Peacemaker, Cosmic and myself have some business to do with you two. I'm glad you had a safe trip, Fury out"

    "Yessir," Otto replied, a little perplexed "See you soon sir."

"What was that all about?" Fallen asked
 
    "I'm not entirely sure... Let's land this thing, then I'll find out."

Ten minutes later Otto and Fallen were stepping down the ramp of the freighter, a squad of stormtroopers waiting at the bottom. Otto wouldn't let the SL speak first, so before he even touched the bay's floor he instructed the SL to the cargo hold to get the prisoners and Cos' body. A few minutes later the squad had hauled off the three prisoners, who very well knew their fate, and were now carrying Cos' body, very slowly, to the nearest bay doors. Otto and Fallen walked to the entrance to the bay from the open air and looked out into the sky. Otto took out his comlink and opened a channel to Control.
 
  "Control, this is Otto Vox, any idea on the ETA of SGM Rizzit's Lambadaa Class Shuttle?"

  "ETA is 3 minutes sir, it just entered the atmosphere."

    "Good, thank you, Vox out."

Three minutes later Rizzit's ship set down in the same bay they were in. Otto walked up to meet his SL. The exit ramp decended with Rizzit standing on it. He was obviously in a hurry.

"Rizz, you have any idea what Fury wants?"
 
    "Not a clue," he replied in haste "Now let's go."

Even though Rizzit was walking fairly quickly, it was easy for Otto to keep up, he was a good 5 inches taller than his SL, and owed it all to his lengthy legs. They reached the door of Fury's office in under 3 minutes. As they stepped inside they both removed their helmets and snapped salutes as Peacemaker, Japer, Cosmic and Fury all stood. They saluted in return and the Lt. General waved them to two empty chairs.

  "Welcome home," Fury said as Rizz and Otto sat,  "I'm sure you had a safer mission than your friend Cos did, I'm sorry to hear he died, his family will be recieving letters of condulence. Now on to our first concern. Now Rizzit, I know you have important information, but; Otto, we've all been dying to know..."

    "We?" Otto asked

  "All of us," he waved his had around indicating the other commanders and smiled, "We've all been wondering how you and Fallen Angel faired together?"

    "Oh, is that what this is? A test of my temper?"

  "Not at all," Cosmic said, "this meeting is on a subject totally different from this, we're just curious. Your temper does you credit as a Dark Jedi, but not in front of the Prefect of the Army, now calm yourself"

    "Yes my Lord," Otto replied and closed his eyes, letting the Force flow through his veins, calming his mind and body. After a minute or so he re-opened his eyes and stared at the commanders about the room.
    "If you must know," he said at last, "When I first saw him I was very startled, and my temper flared again, but within seconds he earned my utmost respect, for he knew of my history with his brother and confronted me about it, telling me he was unlike his brother and did not wish to quarrel with me. He's been a good friend since and great addition to the squad."

  "Very good," Peacemaker said "Japer had his reservations when we ordered him to assign Angel to the Raiders, but we knew that you would be able to control yourself for the sake of the mission, which we also knew needed Angel, he was the top of his class in the academy. But for him to gain your utmost respect, that's better"

  "Now," Fury said, "Enough of that subject, and on to the information that Rizzit has, Rizzit?"

  "Of course," he replied, "As Otto and Angel were about to leave the planet, Angel found me and informed me that he had gotten the name of the client that had hired the pirates. Sirs, it was Swomz."

The commanders looked shocked, but held their own tempers, Otto's short temper, on the other hand, got the best of him.
  "Swomz?!" he yelled, sitting up straight, "I'm going to kill that little bastard!!"

    "Otto..." Cosmic warned

  "Yes my Lord." Otto breathed deeply, letting the Force calm him once again.

    "You're improving your calmning techniques, but you still need to perfect them."

  Otto bowed his head to his Sect Lord.

  "I agree with Otto," Fury said at last, "Swomz needs to be punished for this. I will hire a bounty hunter to bring him in alive. Then, Otto, you may kill him. But before that happens, we have something to discuss with you."

Otto sat back and waited for Fury to continue.

  "It recently has come to our attention that, recent... events... have led to the need of new leadership of Iron Horse. Otto, your long time loyal service to the Army, and the Vast Empire itself has led us to believe that you have come to deserve a position that calls for more leadership than you have had. We regret to say we should've done this a long time ago, but are glad to inform you that you have been promoted to the Squad Leader position of Iron Horse. Congratulations Otto."

Otto was shocked, he had been considered for Squad Leader positions in the past,  but had always been pushed aside when others who had been Squad Leaders in the past had returned from retirement or AWOL status. He'd been with the Raiders for almost 6 years, gradually moving up in rank and had been Assistant Squad Leader for a good 3 years. He couldn't bring himself to reply

  "Otto?" Rizzit finally asked

Otto snapped himself back into reality.
  "Sorry, I'm just a bit taken aback. This is an honor sir, thank you so much, you won't be dissappointed."

  "I'd better not be," replied a grinning Fury, "Now, go say farewell to the Raiders, especially Angel, I'm sure you've come very close to them all and I know how hard it is to leave your friends to go to a new position. But once you're done with that, I expect you to introduce yourself to your new squad, and the two new members of it, PFC Shawn Tylers and PFC Xaivier. Dismissed."

Otto and Rizzit stood, saluted the commanders, turned and walked out of the room.

Once outside the door, Otto released a breath that he didn't realize he'd been holding. Rizzit turned to him smiling.

  "Congratulations man," he said, still beaming "I always knew you had it in you, I just didn't want to admit it, didn't wanna lose you as an assistant. But now you've gotten what you've deserved for a very long time, you earned it, we're gunna miss you."

  "Rizz, it's not like I'm leaving the Army or anything, I'm just going to a new squad. You've already told me that the commanders are planning a big platoon wide mission, so we'll be on that together. You've led me to this point man, it's your own damn fault you're losing me." He winked at Rizzit, put his helmet back on and walked down the corridor. Five minutes later they'd reached the troopers' lounge, where all of the Raiders had finally made it home and were winding down from a tough mission.

Otto and Rizzit walked in and the squad raised their glasses to them. They both removed their helmets and Otto looked on the verge of actually crying, which he didn't do much.

  "Umm, Otto.." Mara questioned "You alright? You look... upset."

  "Well boys and girls, I'm sorry I have to say this, but it looks like this is going to be my farewell to the Raiders."

    "Farewell?" Jed said "Otto, what are you talking about?"

  "I've just been informed that I am now the Squad Leader of Iron Horse."

"Wow!" Jyse said "That's great Otto!"

They all congratulated him and then celebrated for a good hour or so. After that, Otto let the Force sober him up and he set off to introduce himself to his new squad. This was going to be interesting.

OOC: I'm gunna miss you guys!! You were my family for almost two years. It was great serving with you. I'll cya guys in the competition, and whip your tails!
