I debated whether or not I really want to do this.
So, last time I came back, I said I would start RPing again... and I didn't. Then I randomly disappeared... again... as always.
It was because I just didn't have the time to do this anymore.
I have spent a long time trying to figure out just what it is that is sucking away what little free time I actually have. (And yes, I don't have that much. ~8 hours to sleep, 1 hour to get ready for school, 1 hour commute to school, 7 hour school day, 1 hour commute home, and 6 hour homework time doesn't leave me with much free time.)
In the back of my mind, I suppose I always knew what it was, but I never wanted to admit it. But now I finally do, to myself and to others.
Video games. Video games have been destroying the time I have to do other things. It's just a really bad distraction.
So I have resolved to only play video games on the weekends (a rule my parents have always put upon me, not that I seem to have followed it). So now, I will have time to do other things I need and want to do: read Song of Ice and Fire, start long-term projects early, run Pathfinder sessions, and, most importantly for you guys, do Vast Empire things.
So that's my long rant. I'm back, and better than before.

tl;dr Video games screw with my free time, I'm giving them up during the school week so I can post here.

So yeah, I'm back. Navy peeps, I see by the roster there have been some overhauls. What the hell happened and wat do?

Greetings Darian!  I'm Serpent, pleased to make your acquaintance!

There have been a few changes in the Navy.  First off, since you are returning, you will need to take a 'refresher course', just a quick post checked by the Vast Empire Naval Academy.  Once one of the VENA guys comes online they will tell what they want you to do and where you need to post it.

In the meantime, I would suggest you get caught up on the current big story.  And I mean BIG!  Its the first Navy-wide story we have done for a while, and it involves everyone and everything the Navy has (from TIEs up to Super Star Destroyers, this is a Star Wars battle of epic proportions).  The story is still in its early stages, so have a read and get caught up here.

Note, Navy protocol now calls for each post to contain an 'After Action Report' (sometimes we just write AAR) at the end.  Its just a quick summary of the action.  It allows people to get caught up quickly if they don't have the time at hand to read every post.
