Email Notification upon receiving PMs

It just came to me that I can go two days or so without logging into the Comnet, in which time I can get two or three PMs. Currently I will never know this, until I log in.

Is there any way to have it so that once a PM is received, an email is sent to the person who received it; in a similar fashion to the Topic Subscription emails. Whereas someone opts to check that box, and then receives the emails - or doesn't check the box and then doesn't receive them.

I think it a good idea - sometimes I can't log on to the ComNet due to Internet issues and when I find a Wifi hotspot it doesn't always let me log in, but if I could check my emails and see if I have any awaiting PMs and maybe who they are from such as when you receive a wire/product transfer type notifications from FGB

Ooo, yes please. The subscription emails are lovely; would be equally useful for PMs.

I'm bumping this! I really think this would be a great idea. The substitute I'm using for it right now is Google Groups, and quite frankly it's a pain. Yeah, it gets emails to the squad members, but I want this system. With Google Groups, I can only really make things squad specific, I don't think there's a feature to send single emails.

Please Kadann, I think everyone can benefit from this. Especially HC members and various squad leaders. And then the COs for the Navy. Don't quite know what their positions are.

It may also help those in Academy positions to try and remind trainees that they've signed up for the site, and to ask if they wish to return.

Hopefully you'll see this. So everyone who reads this, please put your opinion down so we can keep this on the main for a bit.

as long as I get a checkbox to disable it, I get enough spam as is. I check the comnet a few times a day, my email once a week tops.
