Anival seemed to have the majority of the squad with him; Joamer, Helena, Jamasis, Rykin, and Warbird. A few members of Oppressor were milling about as well. Noob123 went to go join his squad. “We’re still missing Nick, Zesh, and one of Oppressor’s men.”

“Hows Ron doing?” Asked Rogueboy.

“Hel says he’ll survive, she has him on enough meds to knock out a rancor.” Answered Anival.

“Whose been lugging him around?” Questioned RB.

“Joamer.” Anival quickly answered.

“Ah…Ok.” Rogueboy said. “So are we going to wait here for them? Because that just sounds like a bad idea.”

“You’re right; we should get a move on. If Nick and Zesh are still alive they’ll find us.” Rogueboy agreed with a nod of his head as Anival made his point. “We’re going to travel heading North, we need to get to the surface and find a tubelift to get to the command level.”

With that Anival lead the squad onwards through the grime-encrusted sewers. “You know for a city so nice on above, it’s as filthy as that whorehouse Jeg frequents.” Rogueboy joked.

“Well at least the whorehouse is warmer.” One of the Oppressor soldiers commented.

“And full of women.” Another added.

“Women you don’t want to touch.” Jamasis said.

“I’ve been on active duty for three months. I’ll touch anything with a pulse, and a few things without.” The soldier who made the women comment joked.

“Knock it off guys we need our ears.” The acting squad leader to Oppressor interrupted.

After wading through the muck filled sewers for about thirty minutes the sound of someone else walking reached the squad. Rogueboy quickly dropped to a knee and immediately wished he didn’t as the impact his knee had kicked up some of the dirty water and splashed him on the helmet.

“I’m telling you we’re lost.” A voice echoed through the tunnels.

“We’re never going to meet up with the squad.” Another voice despaired.

“That sound like Zesh to you?” Anival whispered to Rogueboy

“Sure does.” He answered before calling out. “Zesh, it’s me, the Maker. I want you to pull your pants down and sing “The turbines on the speeder go round and round.””

“Rogueboy if you were the Maker I would accuse you of making Tatooine out of your fecal matter!” Retorted the Wraith soldier.

“And every time I throw up I create a Trandoshan, right?” Rogueboy called back.

“Just for that, you owe me a beer.” Zesh yelled.

“Sure as long as we stop yelling, Maker knows what’s in these sewers.” Rogueboy said as the two parties closed the distance between each other. A pipe opened and dumped some more filthy water as if agreeing with Rogueboy.

“Oh look, a rat riding a turd, watch out little guy, big wave.”  Jamasis said as the floating turd-rat flipped over.

“All I have to say is I’m thankful that these suits are waterproof because there was a dip in the flooring back there; we were literally up to our chests in shit.” Nick said, while Zesh confirmed the story.

The squad walked around for another fifteen minutes with Anival leading them using the internal compass, to always head north. “This manhole right here seems good enough.” Anival announced.

Rogueboy who was nearest to the cover started climbing the ladder and as he reached the top he ever so slowly began raising the cover just enough so that he could see through the faint crack. Abruptly the manhole came crashing down on his head and the blow stunned him so much that he lost his grip and fell into Anival. The two of them crashed into the murky water and the manhole cover was torn off, the squad immediately opened fire at the source of light and all of a sudden there was an explosion above them.

“What the hell was that?” Anival asked of his soldiers.

“I think they tried to throw a grenade down, and one of our bolts hit it.” Noob123 said excitedly.

“I think we should use a different exit.” Warbird suggested.

“I disagree; they’re all probably being watched.” Joamer interjected.

“Only one way to find out.” Noob123 said as he began climbing the sewer ladder.

As soon as he reached the top he pulled out his blaster pistol and fired a few shots. “All clear.” He called back.
“That was a bit odd.” Rogueboy remarked loudly.

“One of them was still alive, from the blast I figured I would put him down, the idiots had crowded the sewer.” Nick called back.

“I guess they weren’t expecting it to be premature.” Helena added.

“I think I’ve heard enough about premature grenades for one day.” Rogueboy said.

“You sure you only talk about premature grenades?” Zeshaun jokingly asked.

“Your death will be premature if you keep that up.” Rogueboy said with an amused expression on his face.

“Onwards, we need to find a tubelift.” Anival interrupted their banter.

Bacredi and a member of Oppressor, Private First Class Jaxel, both ran out of cover as they had accidently lost their respective squads, and Jackson, who was an Oppressor trooper, wasn’t short behind the pair. Jackson finally caught up with them as they stopped by a back door of a store labeled “Arkanian Dress”, they all took spots on the sides of the doors and Bacredi kicked it in a second later. They all entered the un-lit back room of the shop; Bacredi put his chaingun on his back and drew his pistol, screwing on the silencer at the same time.

“Did anyone hear that?” A man’s distressed voice was overheard through a thick door connecting the back room of the store to the main room.

“Probably nothing, I’ll check it out. “ another man’s voice came as well. The door was switched open and a man’s startled face was shown just as Bacredi put three shots into him, another man yelled in distress but Bacredi shot through the doorway at him and behind the counter. Both men in the shop were dead and Jackson moved to the front door and drew the blinds while PFC Jaxel  went to the back and closed the door, at the same time locking it. They all stripped off their stormtrooper armor too the under garments, they all began to pick out clothes from the racks. The clothing was obviously a little dated as it had some Coruscanti style to it, which had left Arkania awhile back.

They all got dressed into this garment and began to go pick out new shoes, as soon as they all picked out some durable running shoes they looked at their garment. They looked ridiculous.

“Well…I don’t know about you guys, but we look ridiculous.” They were each wearing sweaters and some jean color material for pants. Bacredi’s chaingun was on his back, and it looked out of place. Jaxel spoke again “Let’s get these bodies out of here…is there a staircase around here?”

“Yeah, this way.” Jackson lead him off towards the staircase while they both picked up bodies. They came down the stairs again and Jackson put his com to his mouth, as everyone had detached their inside coms and placed it on their belts. “This is ASL of Wraith…anyone out there?”

“Yeah, ASL—stay where you are. There are mercenaries out here by the dozen…ten are patrolling the streets near us.” Ron’s voice came through the com until he gave them the final message “No names. Stay where you are. Lock doors.”

“Got it…here, guys, blockade those doors over there. Bacredi, pick up your bloody casings! Jaxen after we blockade the doors with these racks go upstairs and be discreet about covering all the windows with the blinds we saw.”

“Copy.” Jaxen told them and Jackson and him were now pushing shelves onto the door, as quietly as possible. Bacredi picked up his casings and began to wipe off the blood from the ground, and after they finished with blockading the second door they moved their stormtrooper gear upstairs. They all moved upstairs into the cramped quarters which was two beds and a couch. Bacredi locked the door after he went outside and put motion sensors in the entire room.

“Bacredi, can you set your chaingun up by the stairs, use this” Jackson ripped a drawer out of a chest and put it on the floor. Bacredi laid the tip of the gun on it and moved the chain out on the ground. Bacredi pulled out his silenced pistol and sat up on the bed.

“What do we do now?”

Zeshaun hated sewers, he was never very fond of them, but for some reason, he always ended up in one during missions, and things just tend to go downhill whenever he wades through the murky waters. Zeshaun was finally found the squad again and thankfully they were finally out of them, thanks to Rogueboy. Even with the filters on the helmets, he had begun to get nauseous. The only sound they could hear was the sound of their feet clicking against the floor, while they left little puddles of sewer water that had dripped off their armor. Thankfully they had yet to run into any mercenaries who were after them. The hallways were very constricted, and he couldn’t imagine firing a gun within them.
“Up there!” Anival said, breaking the silence, pointing to a brighter area up ahead.

The Wraiths walked into a larger room, with two doors, and a split in the hallway. There were three tunnels leading to this crossroads, including the one that the Wraiths had come out of. TRogueboy went up to one and cautiously turned the handle, when he had trouble opening it, he pushed harder but it seemed to be locked.

“Let me try.” Jamasis said moving up to the front and pulling out a pistol.

He carefully aimed at where a lock should be, and then fired, sending a loud ringing bang resonating throughout the silent halls, causing Zeshaun to cringe. Jamasis confidently pushed the door with his shoulder, but the door didn’t budge. Jamasis tried harder but only bounced off the hard metal. Zeshaun let out a chuckle, watching his squad mate bounce off the door. Anival intervened and began inspecting the door, he studied the hinges and the edges for a moment and then made an announcement.

“The doors propped shut, apparently we managed to find a door that isn’t used very often.”

He gathered the squad around the door, and then they all started to push against it to try to get it to open. With one mighty push, the door crumbled against their combined wait and fell inward. With the squad exerting so much force, they stumbled through the door, trying to catch themselves as they fell toward the ground. Once everyone untangled themselves from the pile of bodies and weapons Zeshaun looked around the room, it was lit with artificial light, giving off an ominous green light. The room was full of old computers and it looked like no one had been down here for a while, there was a layer of dust on everything and it seemed like they found a room that hadn’t been used in a while.Luckily they spotted a blinking light near the back of the room. Anival ran over to the light and brushed off a layer of dust off the panel and pushed the button. Nothing happened, and a message appeared, politely telling him that he needed a keycard.

“Let me see, let me see.” Ron said, walking over to the panel, he had come off the effects of the drugs, he wasn’t exactly himself yet but he was getting there. “I can slice this, just give me a few minutes.”

The Wraiths all at once heard the same sound, footsteps clicking down the hallways and loud, angry voices. Zeshaun could also see some shadows through the door, and tried to listen to their conversations. It seemed like two distinct voices, but he wasn’t sure how many other accompanied them.

“Where the hell are they?” One shouted

“If you hadn’t fallen down that damn hole then we would have killed them already.” The other voice shouted back.

“Shut it, if they hear you and get away, our heads will be gone.” The other voice retaliated.

“I’ll check this room, you two split and go down these hallways.” A lower, third voice said.

Zeshaun tensed, hooked his finger around the trigger of his rifle, and aimed toward the door. A large boot entered the room, and then the rest of the body fit into the room, the creatures stature was so large that they had to crouch to get into the door. Zeshaun looked up in fear as an 8 foot tall creature entered the room, holding some kind of vibro sword, very wide and glistening in the light of the room.

“Fire!” Anival ordered.

The squad started to blast off shots toward the brute giant but the giant had quicker instincts than they had expected, it used its sword to block the shots, leaving black scorch marks along the blade, but none of them penetrating it. Zeshaun looked up at the turbolift panel and saw that it had a few floors to go, and at the rate it was going, it may take a bit.

“Move!” Rogueboy tackled Zeshaun.

Where he had been standing, the sword now lay, three inches into the metal floors, revealing a tangle of wires and other electrical parts. The giant was able to bring that sword down fairly quickly, and Zeshaun did not want to be on the receiving end of one of those blows. The giant pulled the sword out of the ground with ease and swung again, at Anival, who ducked and rolled away, back toward the Turbolift. The sword smashed a dozen terminals off the wall, and a shower of sparks sprayed the room. Zeshaun fired at the giant while its back was turned and got a few shots to penetrate the make-shift armor that the brute was wearing. It screamed out in pain and then turned toward him with an impressive amount of agility, with the look of death in its eyes.

“Done!”  Ron shouted, announcing that he had managed to slice into the turbolift and it had arrived.

“Everyone inside!” Anival yelled, directing the squad into the turbo lift while shooting at the giant to keep it distracted.

Zeshaun got up off the ground and sprinted into the turbolift, and then provided some covering fire for Anival as he too crammed himself into the turbolift and rapidly started to pound the ‘close door’ button as the giant started to move toward the turbolift. The doors closed and the last thing Zeshaun saw was the enraged pupils of the monster as the turbolift began to make its way up toward the surface.

The Elevator ascended up towards the surface leaving the brute below unable to do anything but watch.

“Sir, we should go back down there. Our aggressive friend will only alert his buddies of our location.” Nick said.

Anival  nodded. “True, but we’d be pulverized if we stood our ground any longer. We have a mission to carry out. Where’s this lift headed anyway ?”

“The surface, I think. Since that room down there was all ancient looking, most likely a different location.” The trando’ stated.

Nick hoped Zeshaun was right. It might even take them closer to their objective. The quicker this mission was done, the better. The Arkanians as well as their entire planet had started to get on Nicks nerves.

Boom.

A huge bump hit the turbolift. It stopped suddenly, causing Nick to stumble. The lights on the lift shut off as the Wraith elites were surrounded in complete darkness.

“What happened? “ Rogueboy wondered.

“I believe someone is trying to rewire the turbolifts destination.”
Ron said, in a matter-of-fact way.

Nicks mind was filled with new questions.  Before he could answer them, the turbolift activated once again.  Surprisingly, the lift continued to go up. The soldiers exchanged glares through their fear-striking helmets.

“Hah, a failed attempt. “ Nick said. “Stupid Arkanians.”

“I’m not so sure about that. Maybe it was intended? “Helena thought.

“Hope not, we’re gonna need to stop sooner or later.” Joamer added.  He was most likely referring to the injured squad leader.
After a small passage of time, the turbolift stopped and the doors opened up. As soon as that happened, Blaster rifles were aimed at the entire squad.

“Would you mind explaining to me where you just came from??” Bacredi said.

The squad was speechless. Looking around, they saw Bacredi and two Oppressor stormtroopers barricading the room.  Strangely enough, they were dressed as regular civilians.

“What kind of shop is this?” Bacredi thought.

“That’s exactly what I was thinking,” Nick said, as he and Zesh helped Ron find a comfortable place.

The room looked exactly like a regular shop. It had products of different categories and all. When Nick turned around, the small compartment that Wraith had walked out of was completely gone. At least, it looked that way.  The compartment blended in with the wall around it, similar to how the three stormtroopers had blended in by changing appearance. As a matter of fact, the wall seemed to have three more sections in a similar manner. A light bulb lit up in Nicks head.

“That body...” Nick said, pointing at the dead trooper on the ground.

“Yeah, I took him and the other one down, actually. He was coming from a back room like the one you just excited.” Bacredi said, proud at the fact that he killed the mercenary.

Nick walked towards the wall, the “back room” Bacredi was supposedly referring to. The squad all paid attention to him. They were all getting the idea now, Bacredi and his two Oppressor comrades had made a grand discovery.

“Could this be the pathway to the assembly and the biodomes fifth level?” Anival thought. Clearly, He wasn’t the only curious member.

“There’s only one way to find out, right?” Rogueboy stated.
Right there and then, a mercenary popped out of when the turbolift shafts. He wasn’t as big as the large brute Wraith had encountered in the sewers but he was no doubt the same species and just as bloodthirsty. He swung his Gamorrean war axe high, and then towards the closest man near him; Nick. He made a quick sidestep just in time to aim his rifle right at the fiends hand. Pulling the trigger, the merc  yelped in agony, only to toss Draxen backwards with a swift backhand. Nick slammed into ground as Wraith opened ruthless fire on the wounded brute. It backed away from the squad and crashed into the floor. Rogueboy grabbed
Nicks hand and pulled him up.

“Thanks man.” Nick said, glad to have his comrades to watch his back.

“Anytime.” Rogue added.

“What are these things anyway?” Zeshaun wondered.

Bacredi approached the dead warrior. “Not quite sure. Heh, some kind of deformed Arkanian ?”

Nick smirked. “Hopefully that should be the last of them.”

As soon as he said that, he wished he didn’t. Two more appeared. The conversation between the squad members had distracted them from noticing their arrival. Nick readied his weapon, preparing for the next bloody firefight to come.

All of the rifles were raised and Private First Class Jaxel and Bacredi both grabbed their chainguns. The mercenaries hadn’t breached the inside of the house yet, but shooting out the window was too risky as they’d have to stick their bodies out to far. Bacredi and Jaxel both had high rates of fire on their weapons, and they both were confident they’d be able to fend off at least one of these deformed Arkani for the time being. The turbolift shaft had been closed off entirely before the other mercenaries, who were obviously starting to surround the building, came to get them.

“We should never have come here,” PFC Jaxel stated boldly.

“No time for regrets now.” Bacredi said, “everyone—get upstairs, now that the turbolift shaft is completely closed at least. Jaxel and Anival, you guys mind staying down here?”

“Yeah, you too?” Anival replied.

“Yeah, they’ll probably try to come through this door—” Bacredi pointed to the main shop door, not the door he had entered from. “—it has much less armor than the back door.” Suddenly a pounding was heard on the back door, and soon after that the sound of pelting was heard. They were firing at the door constantly. “Shit…” Bacredi, Jaxel, and Velasquez soon went to the sides of the room and quickly made makeshift cover.

“We need to hurry up and get to that fifth level…” Anival remarked.

Just as he said that the backdoor was smashed down, and they only had one more door to go through.

“This is a bad idea…” Jaxel exclaimed.

The door they were not aiming at—the main door—suddenly came down onto the ground. Glass, metal, and wood flew everywhere and all of the group’s attention turned to the main door and a second after that the second door was burst down. Two mercenaries waited in their respective doors for a second, and immediately after that they began to dance.

One of them swung their war axe high and attempted to slice Anival, but he moved out of the way quick enough. The other raised some kind of rifle and Bacredi and Jaxel both acted quickly enough and began to fire at it, it dodged out of the way and dove behind the cover of the cashier’s counter. The other merc dodged out of sight and went past the doorway and to the outdoors. Bacredi popped a flash towards the cash register and pounded on the stairwell door, which was made of solid steel for some reason, and it was opened a second later by Jackson, an Oppressor trooper.

They all got in and closed the door, bolted it, and code locked it, just as a body was slammed into the door. A grunt from the body being flung at the door was heard and an axe was also being slammed into it. They ran upstairs and began to fling all the objects in the room down at the door, attempting to barricade it to an extent that nothing could open it without being completely trampled.

“Wait a second, whats on the other side of this wall?” Jackson asked the group as he realized this room was considerable smaller than the room downstairs.

“I don’t—” Jaxel was cut off by a mercenary slamming through the wall and piercing him through the leg, Jaxel yelled out in pain and they all saw the other side of the room. The group began to rotate around to realize it was a hollow room with a staircase leading up to it, most likely a public cover from the street.

“We have to move, Bacredi, take Ron.” Anival ordered the group as Joamer and him were fending off the mercenary. Bacredi moved over to grab Ron off of the bed and he saw the needles of empty morphine next to the bed, and Bacredi leaned over to pick him up as a huge war cry came from another mercenary charging towards Bacredi. Ron reacted quicker, even on morphine, and reached forward towards Bacredi and pulled his pistol out, at the same time he shot the mercenary dead in the forehead. Joamer and the other mercenary were now fighting, with Anival heaving Jaxel onto his back. Jaxel’s blood artery had been hit and he was bleeding immensely.

“Jackson! Take Nick and go over to the stoop—” Anival was referring to the empty room next to them, which led down to the street “—find us a ride, two actually.” The mercenary that Joamer and Helena, who had just joined the fight, fell down the flight of stairs with a shove from the butt of Joamer’s gun, he was shot by over three rifles. He let out his final breath and his eyes went blank. They all exited the room towards the street, and looked to see Nick and Jackson both rigging two large speeders, which looked like troop transports almost but in a smaller scale. Bacredi through Ron into the passenger seat of Jackson’s and went onto the truck bed of it, and was closely followed by Joamer who closed the back of the truck. Anival, Nick, Zeshaun, Helena, Rogue, and Rykin entered the second trunk. Lance Corporal McCarthy ran up to the speeder truck that Bacredi was in and jumped on the back. “Let’s go!” Anival yelled at the trunk in front of them and Jackson hit the pedal.

“Were to?” Jackson turned around the ask Bacredi.

Bacredi checked his datapad “Head down this street until three left turns from here and go two miles. From reports that part of the city has been abandoned, so we can find a house there.” Suddenly, two vehicles with regular troopers, pulled up behind the ‘convoy’ of sorts. They had gunners on the back and looked pretty makeshift.

“Split up! We’ll rendezvous with you soon, fire at will!” They took a sharp right onto a backstreet, which diverted one of the cars. Bacredi and McCarthy—who had a long range blaster—took a knee onto the truckbed and began to fire out the back. They were met back by fire from the ensueing vehicle.

“Turn here! NOW!” Joamer yelled, turning back to fire again, a sharp turn nearly flung McCarthy out of the truck entirely. The truck behind them struggled to turn and Bacredi was able to pop one of the troopers on the back off before they turned. Only three troopers were left on the back.

“Go for the driver!” Jackson suggested.

“McCarthy…can you hit them?”

“I didn’t go to Cepany Sniper Academy for nothin’!” He replied jubilantly. He took aim quickly and fired at one of the gunners, hitting it nearly instantly. The driver of the truck looked extremely frightened as another one of his gunners was hit off, leaving only one. Joamer took aim for the driver and missed, instead hitting his passenger. The passenger fell out of the side of the speeder truck, which didn’t have any barricade to stop him.

“Out of the way!” Joamer yelled as he pulled the grenade out of his belt and let it drop behind the car. The opposing truck was a perfect length behind them so it allowed the truck to drive over it, miss it, but directly after it was over it, it blew up causing it to flip.

“Take us a little farther and we’ll have to run the rest of the way.” Bacredi yelled, they drove for about a fourth of a mile more and stopped outside an abandoned house. They all got out and Bacredi took Ron on his shoulder. They began to sprint to get away from the car, which would lead most attackers directly to them.

Anival’s voice came over the com. “We have to get back to that room.”

The speeder was going at breakneck speeds but because of its size the other speeders were able to catch up. The majority of pedestrians jumped out of the way, the odd few didn’t and Anival was forced to either dodge them or have them decorate the bottom of the speeder. In one such case of dodging a pedestrian; Rogueboy who was not prepared for the sudden jolt flew over the side of the speeder.

“We lost Rogueboy!” Someone screamed out.

Rogueboy’s fall was less than graceful as he hit the hard road and took off rolling; however he did remember to curl into a ball, after rolling for what felt like forever he finally came to a stop after hitting a wall rather hard.

Laying there for perhaps thirty seconds RB began to stir. First thing he noticed was that most of his armour had been shredded, and as he walked plastoid ribbons were following him. The second thing he noticed was that his helmet’s eyeholes had cracked causing his vision to be blurred even further.

By now it would appear that the squad had abandoned him, perhaps they have given him up for dead? Or maybe they assume he’s been captured, either way Rogueboy would be doing the same thing Anival was doing now moving on with the objective.

A group of pedestrians were looking at Rogueboy curiously, in turn he grinned and waved at them, one of them waved back a puzzled expression on his face. “You wouldn’t know how I could get to the Control level would you?”

“Same as you can get to any level, take one of the tubelifts, however the Command level is locked and you need a keycard.” The man added quickly.

“What’s your name?” Asked RB.

“Noremac Semaj, why?” He asked quizzically.

“When the bio-dome is ours I’ll put in a good word for you, how would I get one of these keycard thingies?” Inquired the Wraith trooper.

“That I wouldn’t know, but I heard someone spliced the tubelift terminal last month, so it is possible.” Noremac said.

“If it was a door I would blow it up, I know nothing about splic…” Rogueboy was interrupted.

“Face me, human!” Came a roar from somewhere behind RB.

A look of annoyance crossed Rogueboy face as he turned around, standing perhaps ten meters away stood one of the creatures this however had four arms and stood a good half meter tall than Rogue. “You are one gangly motherfucker, you know that?” The soldier asked casually.

“I will present your head to the Consul and I shall be rewarded handsomely.” It bellowed.

“Shame, if I presented your corpse to my commanders I would be told “And that’s why we pay you.””

The creature laughed, a loud throaty sound. “Perhaps you are in the wrong profession human, too bad you’ll never know, I demand that you fight honourably with melee.” It said as it holstered its rifle and pulled out two swords, one in each hand.

“But I am at a tactical disadvantage.” Rogueboy complained as he pulled out and showed off his vibro-bayonet.

The behemoth laughed again, this time the sound seemed to grind on Rogueboy’s ears. “A small weapon for a small creature, how fitting.”

“I tire of this discussion, goodbye.” Rogueboy said as he un-slung his grenade launcher and fired a shot that was aimed to land just before the creature.

The shot landed perfectly and the remains of the creatures were now small enough to fit into a small box.

“I hate assholes who pretend to be honourable and then hold an advantage.” Rogueboy said to no one in particular. “Where were we?” He asked as he turned around and saw that the small throng of civilians has disappeared.

Taking the cue Rogue decided to make himself scarce from the streets before someone came to investigate the loud boom, but before he did he checked the corpse in the hope that there was a keycard on it. Fate did not smile on him and he decided to strike towards one of these tubelifts.

First thing that the first sergeant realized was that walking alone on the streets was something akin to suicide so he approached the door to what appeared to be a house. Knocking on the door he patiently waited with his A280 in his hand. “Who is it?” A woman’s voice called out.

Toying with many answers Rogueboy decided to come clean. “I’m an Imperial soldier hoping to find a change of clothes.”

“Get lost! I’m not helping you at a risk to my health.” She screamed.

“Might I suggest I can take this door down if I so choose? And your health might suffer sooner than you think.” He argued.

“I’ll call security!” She threatened.

“And by the time they get here I’ll have you dangling by a meat hook from the ceiling, now will you just open the damn door and spare both ourselves the embarrassment? I feel like I’m a married alcoholic trying to come home to a wife that hates me.” Rogueboy stated.

The door made a clicking sound and it opened up to show a middle aged Arkanian. She quickly looked him over. “I won’t have clothes to fit you.” She stated simply.

“Shit.” Rogueboy muttered as the door closed in his face. “Do you know where I can get a keycard for the tubelift?” He added.

There was silence for a moment before something slipped under the door. “My daughter was a member of the assembly, I say was because she was killed by Demortis for her political beliefs. Promise me you will send that man to hell.” Came the plaintive plea.

“How do you know he killed her? And more importantly I will do my best.” The quizzical Rogue quickly snatched the card before the woman changed her mind.

“I was informed by an Imperial sympathizer in the assembly, Demortis thinks he got them all, but by killing my daughter he created more. Now leave, please.”

With that Rogueboy wondered at how his luck changed as he headed towards one of the tubelifts.

Anival kept the speeder going, he was aware that Rogue had fallen, but there was no time to stop, even if he was alive. Their time was dwindling with each passing second, and a chance they might get caught or killed if they stopped for the fallen comrade was too high to be acceptable.

Anival swayed and swerved, keeping a stone-like expression as he ran over the frightened civilians, on the inside, Anival was killing himself, there was no need for all those innocents to be killed, the only reason he was doing it was because the life of everyone aboard the truck depended on him, if he decided to stop for every single civilian it would be difficult to stay alive, or evade capture, instead all they got was a klaxon warning and maybe a small swerve of the vehicle, but now it had cost a wraith trooper, and that was a greater price than half the city.

Anival drove the truck indiscriminately, not caring anymore who was killed,  a couple of blaster shots were heard, and then an four consecutive explosions, Anival turned around to see what had happened a truck was on its side, flames licking at its belly, glass littered the floor.

Anival drove the truck back to the truck that had been pursuing them, the trucks occupants got off, and searched the vehicle only the driver was alive. Anival leveled his blaster and fired, the shot seemed louder than it should have been.

“Everybody over to that storefront over there.”

Anival waited till most of the troopers had left, he timed a thermal detonator, and threw it in the truck they had been driving, then took off in a sprint to the awaiting troopers. As soon as he had gotten near the shop it exploded, small shrapnel of what used to be the truck flew everywhere, and after a short time, the other truck exploded, as well.

“Why’d you do that?”

“So if we have more pursuers they’ll think we went down as well.”

“One problem?”

“And what is that?” barked Anival at the trooper.

“They aren’t wearing any armor.”

“Well then you can take yours off and throw it into the fire, then maybe they’ll think we DID die!”

The trooper was silent, some helmets nodded up and down, some shrugged, Anival could tell these troopers were having a conversation.

“Listen up! We have to get back to that room!”  Anival said over the imperial comm, that way oppressor and crater could hear as well, the only downside was that any other squad within distance could hear what he had just said, or anybody within distance that had cracked that code.

“Lets go!” and the accompanying troopers headed back to the said room.

The tubelift was unguarded but there was a small line up of people waiting to use it. The appearance of the lone VE soldier caused some people to quickly leave while others stayed. “Apologies but I need the lift, call it an emergency or something.” Rogueboy apologized as he butted in line.

There were a few angry comments from behind Rogue but he ignored these, he would need to take the command level solo if needs be, then again perhaps since all the soldiers are down stairs the command level might have a skeleton crew.

As soon as the lift came on Rogueboy swiped the card and told the terminal to take him to the command level. Someone tried to get onto the lift but Rogueboy stuck his hand out. “You don’t want to go where I’m going, believe me.” The Arkanian just gave RB the finger as the lift started to move up. “You know I should make an example of you.”

“I’m not scared of you.” The Arkanian said.

“Keep pushing.” Warned Rogueboy as he stealthily pulled out his vibro-bayonet.

The rest of the lift ride was in silence as the two of them ascended the levels passing by perhaps fifteen floors before finally the tube-lift came to a rest. There were two guards as soon as the lift doors opened however they were not guarding anything, as they were dead.

“Have fun.” The Arkanian called out as the tubelift started moving up again.

“I hate Arkanians.” Rogueboy mumbled to no one in particular.

Walking up to the two fallen guards Rogueboy noted that their faces were craters signaling the Raasaa had indeed been here already. This entire floor of the bio-dome was covered in sand, but sand that Rogue has never seen before and he quickly realized its purpose; to slow his movement.

In the center of the level was the command center a three-floored small building, with windows on the upper floor showing that it was a meeting room of some sort. A nearby staircase offered entrance into the middle floor; once again a faceless dead guard was lying down. Stepping over the fallen mercenary, Rogueboy ever so slowly made his way inside. The first floor consisted of a staircase that rose to the third floor and council room as a sign indicated. The rest of the room was for relaxation; couches, water cooler, plants, holo’s playing, and there was a backroom with what looked to be a few beds.

A sign showed that downstairs was the “External and Internal Automated Defense Room” The door was locked and required a different keycard to access.

The short dip in between floors would provide ideal cover for the use of a thermal detonator. Pulling out the thermal detonator Rogueboy set the timer for three seconds and dropped it down the stairs. “One…. two…” RB never got to finish three, as the explosion seemed to rock the building. Running down the stairs and through the smoke with his A280 out, RB was trying to use the shock of the explosion as an advantage.

Two dazed mercenaries looked at him with their arms in the air. “We surrender!” they loudly declared.

“Where’s your boss?” Rogueboy asked angrily.

“What’s left of Visallo is under the door.” One of them said.

Glancing back Rogueboy could see that the door did indeed land on top of Visallo. “He was going to get a glass of water.”

“He didn’t ask one of you guys to get it?” The incredulous look on RB’s face gave away his surprise.

“He was voted Consul because he preferred to do thing himself, this time was no exception.” The first mercenary said.

“Get the hell out of here.” Rogueboy said as he motioned to the door with his gun. “If I see you again, it’s your ass.” The two mercenaries ran out the door.

“So this is the command console…” The Wraith soldier mused to himself as he opened up the public announcement channel. “Hello Kanti bio-dome, Consul Visallo decided to take an unexpected vacation and he has asked me, First Sergeant Rogueboy; please don’t ask about the name, to stand in for him in the mean time. Also any more ACP officers please stand down and return to your normal peacekeeping duties. If there are any more mercenaries that have been contracted by former Consul Visallo consider your contracts terminated without pay. Have a good day.” With that Rogueboy went to go sit in one of the large comfy chairs.

“I wish I had a nice big bottle of rum, right now.” He said to no one.

OOC:
PHASE TWO!

Your objective is to capture the headquarters of the Assami Corporation. This is one of the larger companies based off of Arkania, and their influence is considerable. By capturing the CEO of this corporation, Chama Ileeth, we can ensure that the Assami Corporation will hand over its holdings to us peacefully.

You will be joined by an additional Stormtrooper company and a regiment of Army troopers, all under the command of Major Vicks Toyoth, a Stormtrooper himself.

The city has been roused. You will face thousands of angry Arkanians, civil police forces, and militia. Show no mercy. Teach them the cost of resistance, but leave the city itself intact.

Chama Ileeth surveyed Upper Kanti many of these millionaires owed their fortunes to him; Assami Corporation was his gift to the Arkanian people an enterprise he joined when it was nothing more than a small storefront in the Faulbourg. The store had been originally called Assami and Mr. Assami was nothing more than an importer with little imagination. Within two months of being hired Chama had negotiated his way into earning the government contracts and the contracts of many other prominent businesses that were unable to procure their own stock. Within a couple of years Mr. Assami sold his shares and retired.  Chama had bought the majority of the shares but allowed many of his contacts to buy much smaller percentages so that he could “share the wealth” as it were.

“Fire one million workers, all locals, and preferably those from the Faulbourgs. Tell them that the Imperial presence changes everything and that unless the situation changes we will not need as many workers.”

Chama seemed to instruct no one until a shadow in the corner of the room nodded. “We are moving against the Imperials then?”

“Not directly, that would prove most unwise but offer a substantial reward to anyone who can remove this Imperial invasion force. Might I suggest in offering it in a way that it doesn’t come back to our family. Perhaps through that spice dealer your sister used to frequent, what was his name?”

“Your daughter would often visit Ilatan to get her needs met.” The man who spoke was a young Arkanian and Chama and this man bore a striking resemblance.

“Visit Ilatan, have him offer a substantial reward we will of course pay the reward and offer him a five percent bonus simply by allowing us to use his name, now go Derdlu my son.” Chama said as he turned his back on Derdlu.

As soon as the heavy door closed behind Derdlu, Chama turned to face his holo-net. “Call security.” There was a moment of silence before the screen showed a dark-skinned human sitting at a terminal.

“Mr. Ileeth, what can I do for you today?” The man said as he intently focused on the holo-cam.

“Hello Polen, do you know what the weather is like today?” Inquired the shrewd businessman.

“Our friend the weatherman said that there is a high chance of revolution, mixed in with some foreign occupation.” Polen said not missing a beat.

“Would you be so kind as to notify my personal bodyguards that I may have need of them? And that to please leave their stun pistols behind, I fear we will have no use for them.” Chama said good-naturedly.

“Right away Mr. Ileeth.” The screen went immediately dark.

Fortune has smiled on Chama for most of his life and he hoped that she would not turn her gaze from him. Since he was born forty-seven years ago the only tragedies he had suffered were those of his personal life; a wife who had a seizure and lost her mind prior to dying a year later, and a spice-addicted daughter who had overdosed. Otherwise his life seems to have been a gift from the Maker, a story told to poor young children in the hopes of inspiring them to a good life brought on by hard honest work. The secret that Chama never shared with anyone but his wife was that he was an insomniac and that he spent many nights watching and reading the markets so that he would know which goods to buy and which to sell and more importantly when.

Perhaps it will come crashing down around me, like so many other Consuls, Kings, and Emperors have witnessed before me.

Ron entered the command building with Wraith squad trailing him. From the announcement it had sounded like Rogueboy had captured the building single-handedly, a feat that seemed almost supernatural to Wraith squad; and as they passed all the corpses Ron could not help himself but wonder how RB had done it. As soon as they entered the room a voice called at them. “Took you bastards long enough.” Rogueboy said as he turned in a swivel chair. “What would have happened if the mobs got here first? I would be dead that’s what.” He complained.

“Good to see you’re alive too.” Ron said with a grin on his face.

“Yeah, yeah. I took the liberty of passing on the word that we have the command level.” Rogueboy said.

“We heard it on the public announcement system.” Anival said.

“I meant passing it on to the Dominion.” Corrected Rogueboy.

“Ah… how the hell did you kill all these guards?” Ron burst out.

Rogueboy started to blush. “I uh… found them like that.”

“You found them like that?” Anival asked amazement etched on his face.

“Well like when you find that someone dropped a hat in the snow, I found these bodies like that.” Rogueboy said before continuing. “Anyways I spoke to the Dominion and they didn’t want to speak to me for the next part of the objectives, even though my ID checked out.” He said as he motioned towards the holo-net monitor which displayed a decorated man in the stormtrooper uniform.

“Gunnery Sergeant Ron.” The man begun without introducing himself. “You’re trooper seemed to be quite entertaining, might I suggest a little less freedom of self-expression in your soldiers?” Ron shot Rogue a dark look. “You’re next objective is to capture the Assami Corporation CEO; one Chama Ileeth, the building is located in the Upper Kanti levels. I will not go into details about the strategic importance of this facility I will however inform you that reinforcements have been dispatched to secure other strategic locations and that should you finish your task before the other squads do I expect you to lend some aid to your fellow soldiers.” With that the screen turned black.

“He was rather rude.” Helena commented.

“You should see what’s on the holo-cams.” Zesh added.

This caused Rogueboy to immediately turn and look at the screens; poorly dressed civilians were marching around in mobs, breaking into stores and robbing stuff. Another screened showed heavily armed and armored police units engaging with Vast Empire soldiers, while yet another screen showed poorly armed soldiers Arkanian soldiers assembling in Upper Kanti.

“Look at that one.” Joamer said as he pointed to a screen in awe. On the screen one of the mobs had overpowered a squad of regulars and was grabbing their weapons.

“No point watching it kids.” Ron said before adding. “We’re about to live it, let’s get going.”

OOC:
Alright kids and kiddies, this is the battle for the city as per Jeg's post there are 2300 VE army regulars in the city, as well as 48 additional stormtroopers. 2000 enemy militia (think of them as the National Guard and 4000 police officers. Remember the police also include the "SWAT" units as well as some pissed off angry mobs and stuff. Our objective is to infiltrate a corporate office tower in Upper Kanti and capture the CEO. The biggest struggle should be getting to the office while there should be minimal resistance in the office building until we reach the top floor.

The squad all took the two seconds to reload their weapons and fix any slight problems they had with their equipment. Zeshaun reloaded his LAR and took out the flash bang from his grenade launcher and replaced it with a normal grenade, no need to waste bullets if you can blow them up Zeshaun thought maliciously. Since they were on the top floor of the particularly large building, they had to take the turbolift all the way down again. Zeshaun thought of all the angry civilians, police, and soldiers that would be terrorizing the streets, and the image of the mob overtaking a squad of regulars sent a chill down his spine. He knew that could have been the Wraiths being taken and their mission would come to an end along with their lives. Zeshaun also emotionally hardened himself to prepare to kill civilians; it was not very often that the high command ordered the killing of civilians but when they posed a threat there was no other way without giving up your own safety. The turbolift suddenly stopped with a jolt, causing the squad to stumble within the lift.

“What now?” Anival asked out loud, slightly annoyed.

“It seems like the turbo lifts have been shut down for the time being, luckily I think we can jump down from here.” Ron said, analyzing the situation.

The squad worked together to pull the doors apart, Zeshaun peered down and could see the floor only a few feet below. Ron and Anival jumped out and got to the bottom, Zeshaun and Nick followed, the four of them began to pry the door open as the rest of the squad jumped out in pairs. Before the doors were open Ron looked around to make sure everyone had made it. The four of them pulled the doors apart, the other Wraiths ran out, expecting some sort of ambush to be waiting for them, but no one was present. Zeshaun let out a sigh of relief and followed the rest of the squad out the doors and into the street. There was visible damage to many of the buildings but they didn’t seem to take away from their architectural beauty. There were a few dead bodies strewn around the street, most of them civilian but others wore police uniforms. The Wraiths stood in the open for a moment, letting Ron memorize a few routes to their target; he put the datapad back in his belt and then started to run down the street. The squad followed at a brisk pace, keeping their eyes peeled for the mobs that were causing havoc across the town. As they came to an intersection, a rock hit Zeshaun in the head, completely unprepared; he stumbled and caught himself before he fell, face first into the road. He angrily turned, pointing his rifle in the direction that the stone had come from. His jaw dropped when he saw a large mob at least twice the size of the squad was approaching them. Anival came over and helped Zeshaun up, the squad stood their ground against the advancing group of civilians. They seemed to be shouting something.

“You’re supposed to protect us!”

“Where’s your honor!”

Zeshaun was very confused; he did not know that the Arkanian’s expected protection from the Wraiths. Ron was about to shout out an answer to their question but then another rock was heaved in their direction, but completely overshot the squad. Then a red blaster bolt came from the other direction, nearly hitting Jamasis in the shoulder, the Wraiths ducked to the ground, they seemed to be somehow caught in the middle of a cross-fire. Zeshaun looked the other way and saw a smaller squad of police men and women advancing on the angry civilians. this can’t be good The Wraiths were stuck in the middle of a clash between civilians and police, both of them wanting to kill the Wraiths just as much as they wanted to kill each other.

“We should get out of here.” Helena suggested.

“I was thinking the same thing.” Rogueboy grumbled.

Ron gave the order and the squad stood to begin running, but as soon as they stood a shower of red bolts shot toward them, forcing them to hit the decks once again.

“Looks like that’s not gonna work.” Ron said, slightly frustrated.

“I guess we can only fight our way out of this one.” Nick pointed out.

The whole squad agreed, that fighting their way out of the battle was their safest bet, and at the moment, they would fight alongside the civilians, they didn’t trust having their backs to the police who had actual weapons. Some of the civilians seemed to have their own personal side arms, probably bought for protection, but they had nothing that could match up to the rifles that the police carried, they were walking into a massacre. As the civilians got closer to the Wraiths, they got up and started firing at the police, as they slowly edged toward the back of the mob, attempting to escape from the battle.

“This is going well.” Anival’s commented through the comm. “You would have thought that the crowd would notice stormtroopers going through their mob.”

On cue, a civilian suddenly shouted. “It’s the stormies!”

A blood curdling cry rose up from the mob, turning their attention away from the police and onto the Wraiths who were unfortunately standing right at the edge of the mob. They advanced on the squad, most of them had menacing looks upon their faces. Zeshaun instinctively began to fire, people started to fall like dominoes, but there were simply too many for the Wraith they were soon retreating, quickly but the civilians had managed to nearly surround them, the Wraiths had their backs up against a wall. Zeshaun suddenly heard the sound of an engine, coming from the distance but getting closer and closer.

There was the sound of a horn and then a vehicle suddenly plowed through the crowd of civilians and stopped right in front of the Wraiths, a stormtrooper reached out his hand and shouted.

“Thomas Meagher, squad leader of Oppressor Squad, at your service.”

Ron took the man’s hand and helped himself up into the vehicle, “Ron Sovakas, squad leader of Wraith.” He said motioning to the squad behind him, “You couldn’t have come any sooner.” He sighed with evident relief in his voice.

The rest of the squad hopped into the back of the vehicle, it seemed to be some sort of modified jeep, it was rather large for a jeep, and it could fit two squads in the rear, although it was very tight. There seemed to be a spot for some sort of turret but there was nothing attached to maximize on space. Instead of a turret, they had a squad member perched up on top of the elevated platform, firing. The Wraiths fired at the civilians who tried to climb onto the vehicle as Gunnery Sergeant Maegher gave the order to drive away. The civilians had no chance to catch up with the vehicle and soon they were alone driving down the streets lined by marvelous buildings, all of them seemed fit for a king and most of them were incredibly tall. maybe I’ll retire here once we take control Zeshaun thought to himself, making a mental note to look into the cost of living on Arkania.

“Where are you Wraiths headed?” Gunnery Sergeant Maegher asked, raising his voice so that he could be heard over the engine.

“We’re trying to find…” Ron puased quickly to check his datapad. “Chama Ileeth, the CEO of Assami Corporation, apparently he has some power around here.”

Maegher nodded, “I think I know where that Assami Corporation building is, although there are some difficulties along the way.”

“Such as…?” Anival asked, wondering what exactly they would be facing.

“We’ve gotten word that there is a lot of fighting in that area, lots of civilians are very angry with everything that has been going on.” The Squad Leader explained. “There is a three way battle between us, the civilians, and the military and police force of Arkania, we are on the verge of pandemonium.”

Zeshaun took a deep breath, reloaded his rifle and tried to prepare himself for the fight ahead. Luckily they now had Oppressor Squad with them, which would make much of the fighting easier, but by the sound of it, it would still be very difficult to infiltrate this building among the chaos that has taken to the streets.

OOC:
So I got us out of the building and met up with Oppressor squad, I also introduced the three way battle that is occurring. We are currently with them and they are driving us to our target building but expect a lot of resistance along the way from everyone and also you may choose to assist any other squads or stormtroopers or soldiers that look like they need help or something.

The combat jeep travelled down the war torn streets. Arkania was such a beautiful world. It was a pity for such a planet to become the battleground for an armed conflict like this. Despite all the ensuing chaos, Nick was actually winded up. Simply put, he was a warrior. He lived for the thrill of a good battle and he had not witnessed a battle as grand as this in his career.

As the vehicle continued down the street, the two squads approached a moderately thin line of assault.  About sixteen Imperial troopers were engaged with Arkanian militia, who were repelling the soldiers due to their overwhelming numbers. There were about 35 of them ready to crush the small force of regulars.
“ I say we give them a hand.”  Ron stated as the squads opened fire.

“Stormtroopers have arrived! Get ready to  tear this planet apart, men!” Commanded one of the regulars. A sergeant of some sort, by the looks of things.

The regulars sprinted out of cover and charged for the militia force, who were too busy focusing on the stormtroopers assault from the moving vehicle. The combat jeep drove past and out of view. The last thing Nick saw was the imperials assaulting the now very thin force.

“The civilians and militia aren’t as trained as us, but they will outnumber us on most cases.” Anival warned.

“Either way, its nothing we can’t handle.”  Meagher assured to the two squads cramped together.

Nick began to think of the Oppressor SL differently, Thomas Meagher d idn’t seem to have any fears of any kind.
It was only then that Wraith and Oppressor realized how quiet everything was as they passed through a narrow street. For a battle, this was remarkably silent. Draxen had never encountered any moment within his conflicted life which was similar to what he was experiencing right now, in any way.

The silence ended abruptly with the sound of heavy gunfire.
“Arkanian Response Team, on the buildings !” Helena yelled.
Each and every  Stormtrooper looked up into the sky, to see soldiers scaling down the buildings while firing at them.
“Speed up!” Oppressors SL told the driver.

The jeep accelerated rapidly, almost causing Nick to fall off. Wraith unleashed all of their firepower to slow down the advancement from above. It wasn’t good enough. A trio of the elite police force landed on the jeep. As they boarded, Zeshaun slammed one with the butt of his rifle, causing him to fall out and crash into the debris filled ground. The other two ARTs were driven out, but took two oppressor members with them.

“We have to go back for them!” An Oppressor bursted out with fear for his comrades.

“Perhaps we will regroup with them later on, if they aren’t killed that is...” Bacredi suggested. He clearly wasn’t helping the situation.
“Heh, least this thing has more space now.” Nick sighed.
The jeep continued moving at its rapid pace. The Oppressor driver seemed to have excellent driving skills. They were all thankful for that.

“We shouldn’t be too far from the corporate building.” Ron claimed.
“Its about time.” Zeshaun said.  “It’s getting kinda awkward being trapped in this thing.”

Ron was right about the remaining distance. The team could see the Building from their position. It stood out from the others. It made the other buildings look pathetic, it was amazing. Godlike. Wraith stared, wordless. Nothing could describe it.
“Now.. that is what i’m talking about.” Nick said as his focus turned to the battle up ahead.

It was absolute chaos and disorder: Two things Imperialism was completely against. The fairly large street was divided in three, with an ART legion in the middle, caught between a crossfire between Imperial Soldiers and stormtroopers against weak, overwhelming civilians. Nick could hardly count how many people were there.

The jeep finally came to a stop, in the midst of the imperial soldiers.

“Alright, Thomas.  We’re headed towards the building over there. We’ll catch up to you soon.” Ron said in his farewell to his fellow squad leader.

Thomas nodded, “Alright, we’ll try our best to provide you with cover fire, but these guys need some assistance too.”

And with that, they saluted and  the two squads went their separate ways. The next few steps would be the most difficult.

OOC:
Alright. We’re on the same street as the building. The problem is that we have to survive the mass firefight blocking it.

Rogueboy exited the vehicle and all he could do was stare at the massive building and he couldn’t help but feel someone at the top floor was staring back down at him. “Rogue.” Nick tapped his shoulder and held out a cigarette to him.

“I don’t smoke, need to outrun blasters and fat chicks.” Rogueboy joked.

“Because fat chicks just love you.” Bacredi said sarcastically.

“You’ve clearly never been with me to a club, its like I’m a walking bantha burger.” Said the First Sergeant to a chorus of laughter.

“How are we going to get past all those men?” Anival asked Ron.

“We’ll convince a bunch of fat chicks to seduce them and let us in.” Rogueboy interjected.

“Rogue!” Helena shouted.

“What? Fat chicks need love too.” He defended.

“Enough of the fat jokes please.” Ron said as he rubbed his forehead. We’re going to barricade the windows in that building.” He said as he pointed to what appeared to be a three-story office building across from a parking lot. “We’re going to fight them house to house, Bacredi has a tyrant chain gun so we’re going to put him at the window. I would kill to have an E-web right now.”

“Really? I was kind of hoping just for a beer.” Rogueboy muttered.

“I hate walking through parking lots.” Nick added. “Too many things go boom in them.”

“C’mon Nicky, that only happens in action-holos everyone knows that speeders have a metallic shielding against small blaster fire.” Rogueboy attempted to ease the troopers unease.

As Wraith was walking through the parking lot a squad of militiamen came out from down an alley. “Imperial scum!” One of them yelled out as the others opened fire.

The squad quickly dove and took cover wherever they could. Rogueboy was running behind a speeder when all of a sudden it exploded and sent him flying a meter and a half back. “Shielded my ass.” Nick yelled.

Because of the ringing in his ears Rogueboy was unable to make out what was said and he scrambled to his feet as fast as he could. Grabbing cover next to the squad’s Trandoshan Rogueboy opened fire on the militiamen who had also taken cover.

Zesh turned to Rogueboy and said something that he could not hear because the ringing in his ears had as of yet not faded. Just then Zesh took three steps back and ran forward and slid on the hood of the speeder. “Shit!” Rogueboy yelled as he attempted to jump over the hood, however his feet touched the hood causing him to land on his neck. “Ouch.” He muttered as he followed it with a few choice swear words.

Once again the First Sergeant found himself scrambling to his feet and looking around for Zeshaun, unable to find him Rogueboy ducked as a volley of bolts pelted the speeder in front of him. Popping back up he quickly looked through the scope of his rifle and fired at the chest of an enemy. However as soon as he pressed the trigger the enemy saw him and took cover causing the bolts to soar overhead. Taking cover once again more shots splattered the speeder causing glass to shatter and smoke from burning metal to rise. Making an attempt to pop up and fire back Rogueboy quickly found that he was pinned down when at his slightest movement shots would soar where he would have been.

Pulling out his last thermal detonator Rogueboy set the time to two seconds before tossing it in the general direction of where the shots were coming from. As soon as the explosion started Rogueboy was up and running for better cover which happened to be yet another speeder. “How big is this damn parking lot!” He yelled in frustration.

“Big enough for a party of fat chicks.” An unfamiliar voice yelled out.

“I make the fat chick jokes you bastard!” Rogueboy screamed as he raised his arms and blind-fired at the enemy’s position.

Rogueboy lied on his stomach going into what was called the prone position. Looking around underneath the speeder he was able to make out the shape of an enemy leaning on a speeder. A three shot burst flew from his A280 and struck the man in the hip causing him to collapse and die.

“They’re shooting underneath the speeders!” The call came out from one of the militiamen.

“When did they get so smart?” Rogueboy mused to himself.

OOC:
Alright so we're in a firefight in a parking lot, lots of boom booms. Sure they are militiamen, yes we are better trained, however that doesn't make them idiots. Don't underestimate the enemy otherwise you will find yourself dead. Also we're heading towards a three story office building so that we can get an advantage over the men standing outside of our objective building.

“They’re shooting underneath the speeders!” The call came out from one of the militiamen.

Nick turned, facing the militia trooper who made that acknowledgement. Thinking he saw a perfect opportunity, Nick aimed down his sights and pulled the trigger. The man fell to the floor lifeless. Easy target, the Lance Corporal thought. At that precise moment, a bolt missed his head by an inch.  Realizing he was in the open, Nick crouched and hid behind a military barricade. As he was reloading,  Bacredi appeared next to him.

“Damn, they just don’t give up.” Bacredi sighed

Nick chuckled “That’s for sure. Now if you’ll excuse me...”

“Where are you going?” Bacredi wondered.

“It’s getting boring here. It’s time to find some real action.” Nick simply put.

And with that, he hopped over the barricade and closed in on the enemy position.

“Boys, we have a stormie closing in. It looks like he has a death wish.” A voice said up ahead.

Nick moved closer and closer to the ground as he got closer. A militia troop came out of cover nearby. It aimed at Nick, yet managed to miss. Now aware he was spotted, Nick rolled to his left towards cover. He peeked out to once again view the man and pulled the trigger. His face became deformed as his body crumbled to the ground. Nick felt no remorse when he killed. It was something he had become used to.

In the far distance, Ron got out of cover and walked into the open.  “That’s the last of them, Wraith!”

The other elite soldiers stood up. His entire squad was now completely in his view.  Nick stumbled back to his feet.
“Alright, now onto the building” The squad leader ordered. The team eased themselves as they headed towards the three story building.

The inside was deserted, and it appeared to be intact with very slight damage.

“There was a battle in here.” Nick assured.

“How can you be so certain?” Rogueboy wondered.

Nick pointed to the floor. There was a white object, covered in debris.  Nick approached the white object and wiped off the dust revealing the helmet of an imperial stormtrooper.
“By the looks of things, they lost.” Nick said.

Zeshaun then spoke up, “We need to be more careful with these guys. “

Anival nodded and turned to Bacredi, “Is your chain gun still in one piece?”

The first sergeant nodded. Nick was glad when his fellow squad mates kept the conversations to a minimum. It made them seem unprofessional, and Nick knew that the silent ones could also be the fear striking type in most cases.

“Set it up then, third story.” The commanding SL issued.

Bacredi headed upstairs without hesitation. The rest of Wraith soon followed his lead. Looking through the windows, the squad saw the devastating battle below. Nick craved to be a part of it, but he and the rest of the team had a job to do.  Nick then looked towards the corporate building. He couldn’t make of it from his location, but it looked as if the battle was being observed from above on the buildings highest story.

Afterwards, Wraith took up positions with two members at a window. The only exception was Bacredi, who had a window to himself, in the very center.

“Remember, if they spot you after a few shots, move to a different location. There are some windows on the second floor as well. “ Rogueboy informed.

Ron then started to count down from 10.
‘’Three...Two...One...”

Wraith unleashed hell upon the opposing forces fighting on the streets below. They were caught completely off guard, not prepared.  The militia and law enforcement units were being laid to waste. Nick was very pleased with the situation, and his fellow stormtroopers were most likely having mutual feelings.
It was at that very moment, were the tables were turned drastically.

“GET AWAY FROM THE WINDOWS!” Ron yelled. Just then, an explosion blasted the entire squad backwards.
“It’s a counterattack!” Anival yelled.

Wraith kept as far distance from the now wrecked windows as possible. Luckily, they could still regroup on the second floor if they wanted to continue the assault. After a few minutes, the onslaught finally came to an end.

“Ugh, it’s about time.” Helena said, panting.

“That’s just the beginning of our problems.” Rogueboy claimed.

He then pointed outside, towards the street. ART troopers were headed toward the Wraith position.

“This is where the fun begins.” Nick assured.

With Bacredi firing his tyrant chain gun through one of the windows a squad of ART troopers approached the building; using whatever they could for cover. One of the officers tried to use a waste can as cover only to find out the thin metal was easily pierced by the chain gun. Rogueboy ran down a narrow corridor which had a door that faced outside towards the enemy. Running into a nearby room had cubicles, RB grabbed a desk and pushed it into the corridor, he returned for another one that he was hoping to use as cover. Just as he finished placing it the door opened an inch, immediately he brought his rifle up and waited.

Something flew into the room and with a loud bang Rogueboy found that his vision had disappeared into a screen of white and a loud bang had made him temporarily deaf.  Instead of cowering Rogueboy squeezed the trigger of his rifle and held it down. How many shots he fired he could not tell but when the rifle stopped vibrating in his hand he dropped to the ground instinctively he reached for a spare magazine that was not there. Reaching with the other hand for a thermal detonator that was not there, the trooper sighed before taking the rifle neck strap off of him and dropping it on the ground. Reaching over Rogueboy pulled out his grenade launcher. “Time to boom-boom with the Bridesmaid.” He muttered as he stood up.

Still unable to see, a shot struck Rogueboy in the chest causing him to squeeze the grenade launcher as he fell backwards. There was an explosion at the exact same time that pain seemed to spread all over his body. “Rogueboy is down!” Someone yelled.

“Again?” One of the Wraiths asked.

“Well this time he got hit.” Confirmed the first voice.

Strong hands grabbed Rogueboy and pulled him towards the stairs that separated the first floor from the second. “I’m not dead, I can still walk.” Rogueboy said as slowly used the uninjured side of his body to raise himself off of the floor. Using the grenade launcher as a crutch until he was fully standing Rogueboy blinked to get the water out of his eyes.

“I’m still blind in my right eye.” RB said.

“You took the flashbang full in the face.” Joamer commented. “You should be lucky you can see out of either eye.”

“What about the enemies? They were trying to bum-rush us.” Rogueboy asked.

“Well once you shot the first who came through the door the others waited until you ran out of ammo. Then they rushed the door, your grenade shot hit one of them in the balls.” The rest of the talk was interrupted as Joamer was laughing. “Funniest thing I ever saw, the poor bastard collapses seconds before exploding. The look on his face was priceless.”

“My injuries?” Rogue said un-amused.

“Uh…yeah…Helena!” Joamer said as he stepped aside for the squad medic.

Pressing a moist bandage against the wound Helena was careful to dab at it, enough to pull the blood away but not hard enough to push the remnant bits of plastoid into the wound. “Doesn’t look major, your armor too all of the impact, and some of it melted and entered through the wounds, it’s all shallow though. Once you get back to base I’ll recommend you for some light surgery  but until then you’re going to have to deal with the discomfort.”

“Discomfort?” He asked

“You got plastoid splinters buried in your chest, when you move it there will be some friction. That’s the discomfort.” She said annoyed.

“How is he?” Ron asked Helena.

“He’ll be fine.” She replied.

“Good, we’re moving out, Bacredi’s run out of ammo and frankly there’s not much left of that floor.” Ron explained.

“Where are we going then?” Rogue asked.

“Next building, grab a rifle will ya?” He answered as he nodded towards a fallen enemy blaster.

OOC:
Alright RB was hit he's relatively fine, Bacredi's tyrant is out of ammo, we're moving to the next building, if you're out of ammo grab a fallen enemy blaster.

Silence. Rykin craved it, but it would not come. He had a headache. An intense, vice-gripeworthy, neverending headache. He felt like screaming, but he could barely speak. He felt like crying, but no tears would come. And the solution to his problem was inaccessible while taking so much ordnance. It made Karl feel...inadequate, almost. The nausea and cramps probably weren't helping him to perform in top condition.

Rykin took up the point position with Anival, Rykin checking left and Anival checking right for more enemies on the ground. Rykin squinted, partially to see better and partially to keep too much light from entering his eyes. It aggravated his infernal headache, and Rykin was plenty aggravated for one mission already. He checked right and Anival checked left, and the signaled that the coast was clear. Rykin and Anival crouched down in unison and bolted across to the next building, spinning and pressing their backs into the wall, flanking the door closely.

"Right Rykin, check the door," Ron said to them.

"Sir," Rykin responded tersely, the panel to the left of his head. He deftly slid his hand up and pressed down on the proper button, the door sliding open and Rykin spinning 180 degrees and shifting about a pace to his right. He strode up, making his wide frame seem as small as he could. His mind went back to training.

Check your corners, Private! Rykin swung his blaster to the left, deserted. To the right, the same. He couldn't see any more corners, and he could hear the drill instructor's voice reverberating into his skull.

Assess cover! Obstructions weren't prevalent, but he scouted ahead, trying his damndest to move as silently as possible. One bulky desk was slightly askew. Rykin could see it now, a burly Arkanian desk jockey abandoning ship as the forces of the Vast Empire invaded his city. He took cover behind the desk and checked behind a tipped-over statue, a monument to the wonders of technology that had made Arkania what it was.

Rykin stopped behind the desk and took of his helmet quickly, his hands shaking. Out of the top of his armor came the small, brown, important bottle with its small, red, important pills. Two were shaken into his hand, and he dry-swallowed them quickly, sighing in relief. The amphetamines wouldn't hit his system for a few minutes, but it was as if his psyche was more calm now that the pills were sliding down his esophagus. His attention was drawn to the helmet in his other hand. He could hear voices, or at least a voice, buzzing from it. He hastily stowed the bottle and refastened his helmet.

"RYKIN!" Ron's voice cried angrily. "What's the status in there!"

"Oh...I...um...it's clear in this part of the building, boss. Looks like a back lobby. Two corridors flank a central structure. Probably lifts and stairs. I can't be sure, but I think this building's gonna be semi-symmetrical. I'm gonna say there's a front lobby that's similar to this one." Rykin's words hung in the air for a moment when, out of the rightmost corridor, a blaster bolt streaked towards Rykin, missing his arm by about 8 inches. He had very little time to react, and his body seemed to move by instinct. His legs sprang back and he vaulted over the desk, backwards, his back scraping against the varnished top. As he flew, he let fly a bolt from his blaster, taking out his aggressor.

Using his momentum, he redirected it so that his back flip was complete, landing on his feet.

"I'm taking fire!" he declared into the comm channel, a bit anticlimactically. He spun around, his back against the bulk of the large desk, crouching down. He could see the rest of Wraith squad move into the lobby, and he could feel the vibrations from enemy footfalls moving through the floor from behind him. He popped around the left of the desk, surveying the left corridor. He couldn't see anyone, but he hadn't upon first looking at the walkway, so he discounted the lack of people there.

OOC:
It's like a rectangle, guys. An office, with furniture scattered about.

Bacredi sprinted as fast as he could to the next building that Rykin was taking cover in. He had his silenced Tropov in hand, and only two militiamen bothered with following him. Bacredi skidded on the ground he was running on—which was made half of marble. He hid behind a large rock that was meant solely for scenic purposes. Nick rushed in after the militiamen, just a little slower than them. Bacredi popped out at the same time that Nick entered the pathway from the opposing building, and both of them chose different targets. Both militiamen were dazed as they both fired, killing them instantly.

“Cover me!” Bacredi screamed at Nick as he ran over to the two fallen soldiers, he looked at their rifles. DLT-19s…Imperial weapons, Bacredi thought to himself as he picked one of them up and slung it around his shoulder. He picked up the men’s extra cells from his pouch and placed them into his ammo pouch. He grabbed the other one and began to run. “C’mon!” They both sprinted for the other building.

“This is Rykin…anyone out there? They are coming up from the basement and I have a shot at that door, but if they come from anywhere else I’m so screwed.” Rykin commed, and they both let out a little chuckle as they broke into the building. They both entered what looked like the second level, just above Rykin. Both of the men began to search for stairs but Nick began looking out the window.

“There’s about ten targets out on the street, do you have any repeating weapons?”

“Nope. What about you?” Bacredi responded.

“Same.” Nick replied.

“Go barricade that door with a desk, I’ll go check Rykin.” Bacredi moved down the stairs as Nick locked the door and pushed up two desks against it. As both Nick and Bacredi were a little behind of the group, he assumed Rykin would have enough cover.

“SHIT!” Rykin yelled as Bacredi entered the room. Rykin was sending bolts left and right at the basement door, and about ten bodies littered that area. Bacredi dropped his spare DLT-19 and took his off of his shoulder. He aimed at the first enemy he saw, which was coming out of the basement door, and fired. The DLT-19 let out a hiss and fired immediately, hitting the man in the chest and knocking him off his feet and down the stairs. Bacredi was now crouching as the man he just shot rolled down the stairs and knocked about three more militia men over. Bacredi un-hooked one of his grenades and tossed it down the stairwell, while Rykin did the same. The ten second fuse on the grenades gave Bacredi enough time to sprint for the door and close it, with no lock, however. “Take cover behind the desk.”

Bacredi did and as soon as he got behind the desk Nick slammed through the door and a loud bang shocked all three of their ears, the door flew open and the sound of yelling and frantic screaming was heard.

The “irritation” in Rogueboy’s chest was more of a constant pain that what Helena had said it would be. “I hate medics.” He mumbled to himself as he wished she would have thrown more of a fuss and had him med-evacuated.

The building that the squad had entered originally had a few guards that were watching windows but these were quickly overwhelmed. The bigger problem was the squad of guards that had erupted from the basement.

“What the hell were they doing baby-sitting the basement?” Nick asked out loud.

“Isn’t it obvious? They obviously don’t want us to see what’s down there.” Joamer answered.

“Unless they want us to go down there and it’s a trap.” Countered Rykin.

“What if there is access to the sewers down there?” Inquired Rogueboy.

“Not the sewers again.” Zeshaun groaned.

“The pipes that have access to the building might not be wide enough for a human to pass through.” Anival said.

“My instincts tell me we should not go downstairs.” Ron finally decided before weighing the squad’s input. “Joamer seal the access to the basement. I don’t want us getting attacked from behind.”

The mentioned trooper dropped his back and searched through it until he came up with his fusion cutter and a pair of dark glasses. Rogueboy watched in mild fascination as he heated up the frame of the door, hot enough that the metal began to drip and close the gap. Immediately Joamer moved the fusion cutter to the side and began to repeat the process until the door was completely sealed. “Won’t stop someone with explosives, but at least the boom should be loud enough to give us some warning.” Joamer said to Rogueboy.

“So we still have that original problem.” Pointed out Anival to Ron as a window shattered from a blaster bolt.

A long glance outside the window showed that the ART’s were quickly losing the battle against the mix of VE soldiers and Kanti civilians. At least until the imperial soldiers started picking off the civilians, who began to disperse and run away; leaving approximately thirty ART officers and fifty Imperial regulars.

“I think we can now take the fight to them.” Ron said as he noted how the numbers had diminished on both sides.

“How would you propose we do that?” Inquired the squad’s assistant squad leder.

“Well by going on top of the roof we should have enough elevation to give us the angle to minimize their cover thereby giving us as few casualties as possible.” Ron answered methodically.

“To the roofs!” Rogueboy shouted as he took to the stairs.

The squad began to follow him and as soon as they reached the top floor they came to a conclusion. “There’s no access to the roof!” Bacredi exclaimed.

“There’s always access to the roof.” Anival said as he walked around staring at the ceiling. “Found it.” He announced shortly afterwards.

A small square with a padlock and handle adorned the ceiling in one of the smaller offices. “That small square?” Rogueboy asked.

“Aye, that small square.” Anival confirmed.

The square in question was three meters from the ground. “We’re going to need a ladder.” Helena quietly commented.

“Nonsense.” Anival said as he motioned for Nick and Zesh to follow him into one of the offices. A few minutes later they emerged with a desk that only fit through the door on an odd angle. The desk was propped up underneath the roof-entrance reducing the height by three-quarters of a meter. “Bring a chair.” Anival suggested to Nick who disappeared back into the office.

A four legged chair was added easily bringing the door a reasonable height to reach. Firing a blaster bolt at the padlock caused the thick lock to collapse with a loud bang. Flipping the hatch open Nick was the first to climb through. When it was RB’s turn to climb up he was forced to look down since if he looked up he would have been blinded by the artificial sun that seemed to hover just over the building.

As soon as the squad got onto the roof Ron gave the signal for them to head to the side where the battle was taking place.

OOC:
Alright so we're on the roof about to lay down on the ART standing outside of our objetive building. Kill'em and lets enter this damn building. Expect resistance, I don't want these bodyguards looking like clowns. A man like Chama would not hire them unless he believed them capable.

Zeshaun squeezed through the small hole to the roof, he hoisted himself up, throwing his weapon through first. He picked his rifle up from the ground, found a spot and began to pick off targets, He was running very low on ammo for his assault rifle. He was very selective of his shots, only taking out those that were a definite kill.

“My grandma can shoot faster than that.” Nick poked fun at Zeshaun’s slow firing rate.

“Well I bet your gran’ma wasn’t running out of ammo.” Zeshaun countered with a smile on his face.

“Here take this.” Rogueboy said, tossing a rifle in his direction.

“Where’d you get this?” Zeshaun asked, inspecting the rifle, it seemed to be some sort of very low powered sniper rifle.

Rogueboy shrugged, “Picked it up when I grabbed my replacement weapon.”

Zeshaun put the stock against his shoulder and looked down the scope, there wasn’t a large amount of ammo left and it wouldn’t help him in close combat, but for the time being it would keep him from using his own weapons. He started to pick off the ARTs using the scope on the rifle, which was much clearer than the one that his assault rifle had. maybe I’ll steal this scope and find some way to attach when we get home. Zeshaun thought as he put a bullet through the sternum of one of the ARTs. The number of enemies began to rapidly decrease, they had no chance in such an uneven fight, but as strong willed soldiers should, they stayed in the battle, sacrificing their lives for the protection of their master. As soon as the regulars were able to contain the fighting by themselves, some of them shot up grapples to help the Wraiths get to the ground. Upon reaching the street, the leader of the regulars thanked them for their help and then continued away from the building, going after whatever was left of the ARTs that were protecting the building.

“I’m going to warn you now.” Ron said in a cautionary tone. “The muscle that Chama hired won’t be your usual stupid brutes, they’ll be smart, tactical, and he would have only hired the best he could find.”

“They couldn’t be better than us!” Jamasis exclaimed.

“Don’t be so sure.” Ron said with a slight smile on his face.

They slowly approached the building, cautiously watching for any snipers or other potential dangers that could pop out at them. Anival ran up to the door, and clicked a few buttons, then turned around pointing at the datapad.

“There’s a lock.”

Ron moved up to the front, and began typing away on the datapad, lines of code were scrolling up the screen at an alarming rate, Zeshaun watched in awe as his Squad Leader skillfully recoded the door to open for them without a password. After a few agonizing moments, Ron got up and clicked the button and the doors slid open without a sound. The inside of the magnificent building was dark, the glare from the sun made it nearly impossible to see inside. Anival reached into his belt and revealed a flare, he lit it and rolled it in, a bright light lit up the lobby, it seemed that nothing was touched, but when the squad entered the room and Ron clicked the power button nothing happened.

“They must have cut the power.” Ron muttered. “Let’s go, but keep your eyes peeled.”

The squad slowly made their way to the only door in the lobby, it was near the back behind the receptionist's desk. Even though there was a lot of destruction outside the inside seemed unscathed, if there were people in the building, it would seem like nothing was going on and it was just another day in the bio dome. Zeshaun kept seeing shadows out of the corner of his eye and since he was bringing up the rear, he couldn’t help but feel a little nervous. As they tried to open the door, Zeshaun saw something flash near his head, he turned and got a foot to the side of his head, sending him sprawling into Nick and Helena. Zeshaun blacked out for a moment and when he came to he had a splitting headache. that was a good hit Zeshaun thought as he shook his head, trying to shake the pain away. Helena came over and began examining him, but he waved her away, he stood up, a little shaky, but able to stand on his own. What lay in front of him was no ordinary body guard. It was half bionic, the only human parts left were one of its fists and most of their face.

“What is that thing?” Zeshaun asked, still staring at its robotic features.

“Who knows,” Anival said shaking his head in disbelief. “Hopefully he’s the only of his kind.”

“No kidding,” Rogueboy added. “It took way too many shots to take it down.”

Zeshaun could see the multiple shots in his heart area, if it had a heart left. Zeshaun felt the side of his helmet and felt a large indent, in the shape of a heel. Ron looked at the damage.

“You sure you’re okay? Your helmet doesn’t look to good.”

Zeshaun nodded, he was still feeling a little dizzy but it seemed to be getting better, he took his helmet off and inspected the damage himself, the mechanical being had cracked the side of his helmet, and smashed some electronics and wires within the helmet. He attempted to use the functions on his helmet but none of them worked, luckily his commlink was still operational which didn’t leave him deaf to the squad.

“Let’s slice through this door quickly before anyone else shows up.” Ron said, getting down to business. “The sooner we get through this the better.”

Zeshaun agreed. He found his rifle lying on the ground where he used to be lying down and put it into his shoulder holster. He quickly constructed his submachine gun, adding the silencer in case they had to take out some one quietly. He set his gun to burst and waited for Ron to give the signal to go.

OOC:
So i got us into the building, I didn't describe any fighting going on between the bionic man and the rest of the squad so it might be cool to elaborate on that, and also that intrudces some of the crazy body guards that this dude has. We aren't even past the lobby yet so stil lost of building to explore

Ron took an unusually long time cracking the code to the inner building. It seemed that Chama was on top of the ball when it came down to security. Ron finally got the doors to open and the Wraiths slipped in. The room was still dark and since there seemed to be no windows or other sources of light, they turned on their night vision, all of them except Zeshaun who unfortunately had his helmet smashed by that crazy bionic  mercenary. Zeshaun’s head was still aching from the kick and he figured he had at least a concussion, and he didn’t like having his head out in the open, especially when it was dark and he couldn’t see anything coming his way. Zeshaun stuck very close to the middle of the squad, they were mostly keeping him safe since he was nearly blind in the dark.

“Looks like there are stairs over here.” Anival said pointing at something that Zeshaun couldn’t see.

Ron moved that way and the squad followed, there was a short flight of stairs up to a balcony type area that had two turbo lifts going up. Zeshaun found a map on the wall and figured out that the balcony extended all the way around the circular room. Ron’s voice suddenly crackled across the commlink, Zeshaun’s commlink had been hit after all, skewing Ron’s voice so it sounded very deep and he couldn’t help but smile.

“We’ll take this lift as far as we can, I’m not sure if it’s on but hopefully we can get up to the top floor without having to use the stairs.”

Zeshaun agreed, he did not like the idea of having to climb up the tall building. Ron clicked the button and miraculously the turbo lift started to move, even though the power was off. Almost everyone was expecting it to not work, they looked around at each other, wondering what they should do. Ron motioned for everyone to get on either side of the door, and wait for it to open. They waited for a few agonizing minutes, watching the digital read out as the lift came closer and closer to the bottom. A loud bell rung, announcing the arrival and the doors opened, Ron snuck a look into the lift and saw no one in there.

“That’s weird I almost expec-" Ron was cut off short by an explosion from the other turbo lift door.

The lights suddenly turned on in the room, revealing a bright white room, and it blinded the wraiths with their night vision on, most of them threw their helmets onto the ground in a hurry and rubbed their eyes. Zeshaun’s eyes also had to adjust but things were clear enough for him to see, two figures emerging from the smoke and shards of metal. They were all rather large, but only slightly taller than an average human. The one thing that made them standout was their incredibly large arms, they were proportionally incorrect, in fact, and they were nearly the same size as their whole body. Each brute held a very odd weapon. It was somewhat like a grenade launcher with a large blade at the end, and Zeshaun cringed at the thought of getting cut by one of those blades.

“Everyone run and hide until you recover!” Ron shouted, no longer having his helmet and comlink to speak into.

The Wraiths scrambled to their feet, some going down the stairs other going around the balcony and taking cover behind the supporting pillars or underneath the stairs themselves. Zeshaun jumped over the railing and dropped the ten feet to the floor below the balcony. He loaded his rifle, although he had a very ominous feeling that it wouldn’t be so effective. He could feel the ground shake as the two monstrous humanoids pursue the Wraiths. Zeshaun snuck around the room, sticking close to the wall so that he would blend in a bit with the white walls. He watched in horror as one of the animals fired their weapon. It was a grenade launcher of sorts, but Zeshaun would compare it more to a rocket, a single ball flew at an astonishing speed and smashed into the wall, blowing up seconds later, leaving a small crater in the wall and spewing shards of plastic and metal around the room. note to self, don’t get hit by one of those Zeshaun thought as he ran faster, pumping his arms. He checked how much ammo he had left in his rifle, and didn’t like what he saw. He barely had two clips, and he knew that it wouldn’t be enough to take out the two mercenaries.

Slowly Wraiths began firing at their attackers. And soon there were tons of red bolts flying in their direction, unfortunately their weapons also happened to be able to double as a shield of sorts, taking a large portion of the shots fired at them and deflecting them. With the Wraiths losing their helmets, they had no way of communication and it made Zeshaun very nervous, he searched the room for any sight on Ron or Anival. When he found them, he began making some hand signals trying to figure out some sort of plan. Anival just gave him a strange look and motioned for him to come where he was. Zeshaun sprinted across the room, and met up with Anival.

“Got any plans?” Anival asked.

“I was gonna ask you the same thing.” Zeshaun answered breathing heavily.

“We need to regroup the whole squad, we’re useless if we try to fight these things by ourselves.”

Zeshaun nodded in agreement, “Do you mind if I smack this Chama guy when we find him, I think he deserves it for hiring such amazing mercenaries.”

Anival smiled. “Be my guest, I won’t stop you.”

Another Wraith joined them in their little hiding spot. “What are you two chatting about over here.” Helena said, reloading her weapon. “Don’t you know there two insane beasts trying to kill us.”

OOC:
sorry about the double post, had to take matters into my own hands when no one has posted :P but anywho I have started a battle between two mercenaries. The weapons they have are similar to those weapons in halo that shoot grenades and have that blade on them. These guys also are large but their arms are super big and they are very strong. I would assume that after these guys are taken down we would head up using the one available turbolift left. also these guys will be very tough to beat.

Anival was hit by a blinding light, he could feel his retinas crying in protest, they had been caught off guard, and that mistake could cost them their lives.  Anival yanked off his helmet and clipped it to his belt, a now automatic move. Almost immediately red points started dancing around them, Anival ducked and squinted his eyes repeatedly.

After a while his eye got accustomed to the light, and the truth of the point came out they were blaster bolts. Not one minute after Anival recognized they were being attacked that Zeshaun joined his side.

“Got any plans?”

“I was gonna ask you the same thing.”

Anival bit his lip, and the most of basics jumped into mind.

“We have to regroup the whole squad first.” as Anival finished his sentence Helena walked up and scolded them for talking.

“Wait, better yet, we don’t regroup, stay in groups of threes, that way they won’t have on big target.” Zeshaun Nodded as did Helena.

“Since there are three of us here we are one group.”

Anival unclipped his helmet,  and put it back on.

“All wraiths that can hear this message, stay in groups of threes, do not regroup into one big target, repeat stay in small groups.” Anival recorded the message and cycled it through the secure comm channel, he wanted to make sure they were heard.

“Alright fire at will!”

Anival followed his own advice and aimed down the sights of the A-280, he smiled one of the brutes was directly in his line of fire, Anival shot three bolts, he smiled as the brute went down. The smile was wiped of his face as the brute got back up, a small blue hue crackled around his, Anival had now noticed, in the light it was hard to see, they had personal shields.

“Damn!”

“What?”

“The have frakin shields.”

“What?”

“Shields!”

“Alright shoot to overload them, focus on one and empty a clip hopefully the shields will go down before they notice what we are up to.”

“Got it”

Anival wondered if his message to stay in small groups had been heard. As if on cue blaster bolts started firing from different directions.

OOC:
Getting back into the swing of things, sorry for the length. Okay so basically we split up into small groups of three-fours, that way the enemies fire is spread out and distracted, I also added a twist, the mercs have personal shields

Zeshaun hung with Anival, firing at the glowing personal shields that the brutes had equipped. It didn’t help that they were all running low on ammo, wasting shots on their shields meant less ammo for whatever they would face next. Nonetheless they fired, concentrating on one of the large humanoid creatures. It hadn’t seemed to notice that all the fire had been concentrated on it, and it seemed to have a lot of confidence in its shields because it didn’t do much to avoid being hit, he just let the shield deal with it. Its partner continued to fire their grenade like explosives toward the groups, but the groups were small enough to run and not get hit by most of it. Zeshaun fired using his rifle, even though it was beginning to run very low his submachine gun would not have enough fire power to affect such a large creature and do enough damage to take the shields out.

“The shields are starting to go. Get ready.” Ron’s voice was heard over the comlink.

The shields had definitely started to thin, the original dark blue color of the shields was turning more into a water down blue and was beginning to flash. As it was too late, the creature realized what had happened, he shouted something in a language that Zeshaun was not familiar with and then began to sprint toward cover behind a pillar.

“Don’t let him hide, he will just recharge his shield!” Anival shouted.

The wraiths began to move closer to the hiding monster, keeping an eye on the other brute which was still chasing the groups around, having no success in hitting them. One of the groups turned to concentrate on the hiding monster, while the other acted as a distraction to the attacking brute, making sure it would not interfere. Anival suddenly turned toward Zeshaun.

“Quick, give me a grenade.”

Zeshaun reached into his belt and grabbed one of his usual grenades and handed it to Anival. “Here ya go.”

Anival nodded, took a minute to see where he was throwing it and then lobbed it through the air. The small ball floated through the air and landed right at the base of the pillar, then exploded. A cloud of dust and smoke rose up, creating a smoke screen between the monster and the Wraiths. Zeshaun watched in fascination to see what Anival’s plan was. A cry of pain rose from behind the smoke and when it cleared, the pillar had fallen and the monster was nowhere in sight. Upon further investigation, Zeshaun could see the abnormally large arm coming out from underneath the pillar, still twitching. Anival had managed to knock down the pillar, onto the creature and crush what was left of the shield along with the monster itself. Zeshaun was impressed and looked at Anival, wondering if that was planned or it was just a lucky toss. Anival shrugged, reading the look on Zeshaun’s face.
Now the Wraiths could focus on the second mercenary, but it was beginning to get very violent. It was clear that it did not like having its partner taken down and the rage was evident in the increase of attacks that came from it. The Wraith had to take cover as a shower of bombs fell on the room, creating craters in the floor and shaking the building. If the Wraiths had hoped for any sort of surprise on the remaining guards, it was now useless. There was no way that the whole building was not alerted of their presence within the building, and Zeshaun wouldn’t be surprised to see more guards come down the turbo lift to see what was going on.

“Let’s take this one out quickly.” Ron suggested.

“I thought we would drag this one out and wait until the last shot before we took it down.” Nick replied sarcastically.

Ron rolled his eyes and they all began to fire on the creature that had to reload after that onslaught of attacks. Zeshaun used the aiming reticule on his rifle, he was not very good at shooting from the waist, especially when the target was across the room. The Wraiths slowly fanned out across the room, making sure that they were not too close to each other so that they were not an easy target. Zeshaun saw and Anival were still standing relatively close when one of the explosives made its way toward them. They both jumped but the explosive was unnaturally fast, it smashed into the wall sending shards of metal, plastic and other debris in their direction. The force of the explosion sent Zeshaun tumbling forward as he ran and he tripped, rolled and was stopped abruptly by a large chunk of the ground which had been thrown up by a separate explosive. Zeshaun felt one of his ribs crack and he also felt his headache come back as he lay there catching his breath. I think I might just retire after this one. He thought as he checked to make sure he had not hit any vital organs, His armor was filled with shards of debris but luckily his armor was there to keep it from piercing his body. Zeshaun looked around and saw that he had travelled a good distance and was not sure if he could crawl back to safety but luckily Nick ran over under the cover of the other wraiths and helped Zeshaun to his feet. They both ran, Zeshaun using Nick as a crutch and they took cover behind a wall.

“You alright?” Nick asked, looking over Zeshaun making sure there was nothing that needed immediate attention.

Zeshaun nodded, wincing as he touched his cracked rib. “I’ll survive, how bad is Anival.”

Nick looked over and then turned back to Zeshaun. “He seems to be doing fine as well, you guys got lucky.”

Zeshaun just nodded, he waited for Helena to come and give him some pain meds so that he could go back and help them take out the last mercenary. His headache was not getting much better and hoped he did not get a second concussion on top of the first one. He had dealt with concussions before and they were nasty, not only would they hinder his ability to think clearly, the doctors would also force him to rest, which he did not want to do. but after this mission, it might not be so bad

OOC:
So i took out one of those guys, but the other one is still at full health, has nothing really knocked off his shields, should be a nice battle :] After the fight i assume we can head up the turbolift to look for Chama

Rogueboy was leaning against a duracrete pillar that was plated with an unfamiliar stone that shown a shade of green that had immediately reminded him of Wraith’s squad colours. The BMC-150 that RB looted off of one of the dead enemies was a rather fearful weapon; he had studied it in one of his heavy weapon specialty classes that were mandatory for him. The blaster rifle had a very high rate of fire as it had twin barrels that fired positive electron bolts from the top barrel, and negative electron bolts from the bottom. There is a way that you can fire a bolt from each barrel at the same time which would unleash an overcharged bolt, however it’s highly recommended not to use that feature as the gun could essentially overheat or explode, Rogueboy couldn’t remember which one.

Sticking his head around the corner of the column Rogueboy noticed that the genetically altered creature’s attention was focused on Nick who was crouching behind the receptionist’s desk. Spraying bolt after bolt towards the creature finally got its attention and it swung its mammoth weapon towards Rogueboy and fired a rocket. The rocket hit the pillar sends shards of green stone flying like so much shrapnel, and flinging Rogueboy backwards onto the cool floor.

Pain, was the first thing that Rogueboy was aware of; pain in his back, and pain all over his face. The back was easily explainable because of how he landed; the pain was not so easy to explain. Touching his face he pulled back his white gloved hand to see the dark red shimmer of blood. “I’m down!” He yelled out.

Soon after someone skidded into Rogueboy, looking up he could see that it was Anival. As soon as Anival looked at Rogue he paused and a queer look crossed his face. “Helena, you might want to see this!” Anival yelled out.

“Coming.” The medic said as she dashed from her cover and ran over as fast as she could.

“Oh…” She said as she glanced at Rogueboy’s face. “This could get interesting.”

“What is it?” Rogueboy finally asked impatiently.

Anival patted Helena on the shoulder before running to join the fray. “Well…you got some of that green stone embedded in your face.” She said bluntly.

“Well…can you take it out?” Rogueboy hesitantly asked.

“I could but that’s going to require we be here for a few hours.” Helena answered.

“So let me understand this.” Rogueboy started calmly. “You can’t get the plastoid splinters out of my skin, and you can’t get these bits of stone out of my face.” Allowing the anger to manifest, he shouted. “Then what the hell are you good for?”

Helena was taken aback by the sudden outburst but she quickly gathered herself. “You’ll live, if you get hit badly enough that you won’t I might make the difference then.”

“You know Helena, sometimes I wish I had an endless beer mug attached to my hand, this way every moment of my life could be happy hour.” Rogueboy joked.

“You are a sad lonely little man, aren’t you?” She asked.

“Sometimes.” He answered as he rose to his feet. “Where’s my rifle?”

Helena pointed to it as it lay on the floor with a piece of duracrete lying on top of it.

Zeshaun was still holding his head, there was a very annoying ringing and it felt like the world was spinning. He sat down, away from the squad not wanting to attract any attention. Helena soon came over and started to inspect him. When Helena poked his broken rib he grunted in pain, Helena quickly took out a shot and stabbed him with it, injecting the liquid held inside the vial. Zeshaun could feel the pain go away almost immediately and was grateful for the advances in medical technology. He could once again move about without cringing in pain after each step, his headache was also subsiding but the world was still a tad blurry.

“Don’t do anything crazy, or overexert yourself. The meds take away the pain but they don’t heal your wounds.” Helena said while she quickly repacked her things. “You won’t be able to feel it when you get injured and that’s not necessarily a good thing.”

Zeshaun just nodded and helped himself up, using a large chunk of wall to steady himself. He grabbed his rifle and went to reload but found his hand fishing in an empty pocket. He checked his gun and found that he was all out of ammo, and his submachine gun would not do him any good against this monster. Things had gotten quiet and Zeshaun looked to see the creature taking a break to reload his shield and his weapon. The wraiths did not bother trying to attack it while it was hiding, they were all very worn out and they were recovering themselves. Zeshaun walked over to a desk and found two bodies. They were missing limbs and their faces were disfigured but their rifles were still hidden under the desks. Zeshaun picked one up, it was a concussion rifle, and he examined it, wondering why the guards had such high powered weapons at their disposal. Zeshaun loaded the rifle and jogged back, but stopped very quickly noticing his world was beginning to spin again. I guess my body isn’t quite ready to work with me yet Zeshaun thought as he slowed to a brisk walk and joined the rest of the squad.

Rogueboy was down, he had shards of metal and plastic in his armor. Others were hurt but not as badly as Rogueboy. Anival was also down but it seemed that he was doing alright. The brute had not resumed attack and Zeshaun hoped that it had just given up and gone away so that the Wraiths could continue with their search. That was not the case. The attacks began again, the monster screaming some sort of war cry before continuing with his assault. The bombs began to rain down again like hail, bouncing around the room before exploding and leaving craters in the floors. Soon the room began to look like a moon itself, dust and debris covering everything and large holes in the ground. Nowhere was safe, the radii of the explosions were too large to just sit somewhere and hope that you wouldn’t get hit. Zeshaun kept moving around, going as quickly as his battered body would allow. He found himself next to Nick.

“How are your ribs?” Nick asked casually as an explosion showered the pair in debris.

Zeshaun shrugged. “There alright, can’t really feel anything at the moment.”

The two of them jumped up, and moved to a different spot. They went separate ways so that they would not be caught together in a single blast. Zeshaun looked down the sights of the concussion rifle, aimed and fired a single shot toward the creature. The kick caught Zeshaun off guard, he stumbled backwards and fell. He quickly got up to see the damage his shot had done. He had missed by at least twenty yards, but it blasted a neat hole into the wall. Zeshaun stared down at the rifle, in a bit of shock. He found a switch and saw that it was set on explosive, and made a mental note to remember to compensate for the large kick.

“What the hell was that?” Rogueboy’s voice crackled in over the comlink. “If someone has a grenade launcher of their own, it would be nice if they could use that more often.”

“Sorry,” Zeshaun said, apologizing. “This new concussion rifle I found seems to pack a punch.”

There was silence for a minute. “. . . You found a concussion rifle lying on the ground.”

“I know,” Zeshaun replied, smiling at the shock in Rogueboy’s voice. “It was tucked underneath a desk.”

“You found a concussion rifle under a DESK?” Rogueboy said in disbelief.

“Yup.”

“Well put that thing to good use, or give it to someone else that can.” Rogueboy ordered.

“Here, take it. But watch out for the kick. Zeshaun replied as he quickly searched the room for the whereabouts of Rogueboy.

Zeshaun clicked the safety and tossed the rifle down to Rogueboy who had found his position. Rogueboy planted his back foot, compensated for the kick and then fired. Even though he had prepared for the kick, it still pushed him back and forced him to take a few steps back. The shot flew across the room, and nailed the creature in the leg. The shield around it sputtered and then disengaged. Zeshaun did a little fist pump and then switched over to his submachine gun. Although he had only fired twice, his shoulder was already feeling stiff and was sure that if he was not on pain medications he would also be feeling very sore.

“Let’s go Wraiths, hit him hard while the shields are down!” Ron yelled, not bothering to use the comlink.

The creature was running around the room, desperately looking to take cover around something where it might be able to recharge its shields and recover from the damage done to his leg. Blood dripped down around the ankles and there seemed to be a large gash producing the blood. The now crippled monster seemed less threatening and with new found confidence, the Wraiths moved forward, firing shot after shot toward the injured threat.

OOC:
Shields are gone but it is far from dead. Expect a big struggle for its own life.

Rogueboy’s right eye was blurry and teary; one of the shards had gotten into his eye not enough to cut and make him blind but enough that he had to constantly blink in an attempt to clear it up. What didn’t help was the fact that his right eye was his better eye and as such his “aiming” eye. Switching the concussion rifle to the other arm, Rogueboy spread his legs and leaned into the rifle as he fired the concussion rifle. The blast still made him back up a step and because of the kickback and terrible aim the shot struck the beast in the leg.

“Shield’s gone!” Someone called out. Rogue was unable to see because the recoil had caused the scope to jam itself in his eye.

“Gah! I can’t see shit!” The soldier yelled out as both of his eyes were tearing.

“Rogue!” Zesh yelled as something heavy crashed into Rogueboy, bringing him to the ground as an explosion sounded just behind him. The concussion rifle went off as soon as it hit the ground.

“Oh...my...maker.” Someone loudly commented.

“What the hell is happening?” Rogueboy asked loudly.

“I saved your ass.” Zeshaun said as he rolled off of Rogueboy, there was a slight pause before he added. “And killed Joamer.”

“What?” Rogueboy exclaimed loudly. Wiping his better eye with his gauntlet he saw as a thin trickle of blood slowly dripped from Joamer’s midsection, then the top half of the body slid off and landed on the floor.

The man-creature chuckled just as a vibro-bayonet protruded from its left eye. “Die, bastard.” Helena said as she activated the vibro part of it and it sawed through his face.

“Go Helena...” Someone murmured as the beast’s brains decorated the smooth floor.

Rogueboy began an apology about slicing Joamer in half but Ron waved away the apology. “Could’ve happened to any of us.” Ron said as he walked away towards the tube lift.

The squad followed him with Rogueboy bringing up the rear his body moving mechanically.

Aww...what’s wrong?

I just cut Joamer in half, you insensitive side of me.

Insensitive I may be, but the truth was you didn’t even like Joamer.

That may be true but he was a good soldier, and I could trust him to not shoot me in the back.

Kinda like you did to him?

You’re impossible.

No, what’s the point in feeling miserable about it? Be sad and miserable if it makes you happy, truth was it just as easily could have been you who got cut in half. Maybe Joamer wouldn’t even feel any guilt about it.

Look at the squad, look at how they give me the side looks, they all wonder if I did it on purpose or not.

No they don’t, they wonder how you’re handling it. You wouldn’t be the first soldier to accidentally pop a squad mate then figure the guilt was too strong and kill yourself.

I can’t kill myself, I promised myself.

Promises are but chafe in the wind when it comes down to the deed, the truth is you don’t have the balls to do it.

I fail to see how you pushing me to suicide benefits either of us.

Touche, just don’t be sad it makes me sick.

Good to know you still have my best interests at heart.

With that the mental conversation was over and Rogueboy felt lively again. “Where we going boss?”

“To the top floor, we need Chama.” Ron answered.

Just then the tubelift began slowing down. “I think it’s stopping us a floor before our destination.” Nick said.

“I agree.” Zeshaun added.

“Well...we’re just sitting womp rats aren’t we?” Ron answered.

The squad frantically searched for ways to get out of the turbo lift, but since it was only slowed and not stopped, it would be touch to even exit the turbo lift and escape into the shaft. The squad waited anxiously, not knowing what kind of atrocity was waiting for them on the other side of those doors. A soft bing announced their arrival on the floor and the doors started to crack open. Zeshaun brought his machine gun to his shoulder, the stock was lodged into the crack between his shoulder armor and the armor protecting his forearms. When the doors opened it was very anticlimactic, no one attacked, in fact, it wasn’t even dark. They had stopped at a floor that seemed to be used mainly as an office.

“You sure you clicked the right button Ron.” Nick asked as the squad nervously stood in the turbo lift.

Ron clicked a few buttons. “I can’t tell, the power’s been shutdown to the turbo lifts, let’s find another way up.”

The Wraiths filed out of the lift fanning out into the room, everyone making a quick scan with their weapons. They began to search the room, looking for any information on a different route to the top floor. They found nothing and so they continued down a short corridor, lined with large windows and overlooking the city. Zeshaun observed the magnificent building that was visible through the windows, the damage had not risen to this level since there were no air units involved. He saw a reflection of something in the large windows of the other building and he thought he saw a clown, he squinted his eyes and blinked a couple times, thinking he was imagining things but the clowns were still there. The painted faces were prominent but they had on armor and were carrying weapons. They seemed to be scaling the other building. Zeshaun eyes got wide, before he could say anything the glass windows shattered.

“What the hell!” Ron yelled as he went to the ground, covering his head.

The rest of the Wraiths did the same, but soon they were crawling or rolling back toward the other room. Zeshaun got up, brushing glass off his armor and turning the safety off his machine gun. The attackers were already firing their weapons, and laughing wildly. Zeshaun saw one of their faces, it sent a chill down his spine, the mouth was red, but the eyes were empty, as if it was a mask. He had never been fond of clowns but on the upside, he wouldn’t have any trouble mowing them down. The Wraiths had taken defensive positions in and around the office, waiting for the clowns to show themselves.

“How many do you think there are?” Rogueboy asked. “I couldn’t count them, my eyes are still bothering me.”

“I think there are at least 9.” Ron responded. “They seem to be a squad of some sort, we should expect more somewhere.”

“Who makes a squad of clowns?” Nick asked, half jokingly.

The squad chuckled and then they all realized that the clowns had not yet entered the room wiping the smiles off their faces and making them all a bit nervous.

“Oh crap.” Ron whispered.

A tin can rolled into the room from behind them and then another evil laugh filled the room. Everyone turned to look behind them and they saw two clowns sitting in the turbo lift as the doors closed, they were smiling their sadistic smiles, and waving. The can didn’t explode, instead it started to let out smoke. Everyone was waiting for the explosion and the smoke bomb caught them all off guard. The clowns that had never attacked suddenly came running into the room, firing wildly.

“I can’t see anything!” Nick shouted.

“Welcome to my world.” Rogue mumbled.

Zeshaun began firing blindly ahead of him into the smoke. He couldn’t see anything and wasn’t sure if he hit an enemy or a friend, he wasn’t even sure if he hit a person. The bolts continued to rain down upon the Wraiths and it seemed like their numbers had grown. As the smoke cleared they were all surprised to see storm troopers firing back at them. Ron raised his helmet into the air and began shouting things that would help the other storm troopers recognize that they were allies. The firing stopped and as the Wraiths cautiously came out of their hiding spots the other storm troopers suddenly drew their rifles again. Zeshaun ducked as a bolt nearly hit him.

“Son of a bitch.” Nick shouted.

Zeshaun looked over and saw that Nick had been grazed on the shoulder, the bleeding wasn’t bad and he seemed okay. When Zeshaun looked up over the cubicle to fire he could see now that the storm troopers had taken off their helmets and were wearing their clown make-up. shit, they tricked us These clowns were sneakier and much smarter than their big smiles portrayed. Zeshaun did not have a good feeling about these clowns, not wanting to make face another difficult struggle after having to deal with the two monsters which ended with Joamer losing his life. It was even more frustrating that neither Zeshaun nor anyone else on the squad had managed to kill a clown yet. Zeshaun popped up and found a clown facing away from him, taking the opportunity Zeshaun pulled the trigger, sending a burst of bullets flying toward the clown. The clown turned around too late and the shots hit him directly in the face. Zeshaun smiled, but then the smile slid off his face. The clown was still smiling and alive, except that it had four small holes in its face.

“Guys.”  Zeshaun said as he took cover again. “These guys have very strong armor, at least on their heads.”

“Just what we need, a clown who can’t lose their head.” Ron said.

No one had hit the clowns in the torso yet so there was no info on their body armor but it was safe to assume that it was also made from the same material. I hope it doesn’t come down to these Zeshaun thought as he withdrew two vibroknucklers from his bag and unclipped his vibroknife that he had gotten as a gift upon becoming a man in the trandoshan society.

OOC:
So i have engaged a new enemy. This is a squad of soldiers, they are all wearing clown masks. They are very keen about trickery and playing dirty. don't expect any fair fights from them. They have extremly tough armor although mutliple blaster shots to the same area will most likely breka through. Hopefully we can find a way up to Chama after we take these guys out. There are nine of them

Zeshaun fired over the cubicle, it was not safe to stick his head out and aim so he just sprayed a few bullets toward the clowns and hoped that it would hit them. There was a lot of frantic shooting going on and only the sharp sadistic laughter of the clowns pierced the sounds of the battle. Ron moved back to the turbo lift and smashed the button with his finger, trying to get the lift to arrive faster. If they could all get in the lift and get up to the next floor they could deal with the clowns after they were sure that Chama was dealt with. Unfortunately the lift was taking years to make it down, and Ron assumed that it was either broken or had been disabled by the clowns that were in it before.

“We need a plan.” Anival said through the comlink.

“Let’s deploy a few explosives of our own.” Ron said as he rolled a grenade down the path way down the middle of the cubicles.

It gently rolled up against the back wall and lay there for a few seconds before going off and making a crunching noise as the smoke, debris, and fire all filled the back portion of the room. As the smoke cleared, there was sunlight shining through the back of the room. The explosion had broken through the wall and there was now a gaping hole in the back of the office. The Clowns still fired but they began to retreat out of the room. Zeshaun put his machine gun away and moved up to a clown that was trapped beneath a desk, attempting to pull himself out. Zeshaun knelt down and tipped the clowns head up. With one strong punch, the vibroknuckler sliced through the softer armor around the neck and into the jugular. Blood flowed from the clown’s neck and he grabbed at his neck as he bled to his death. The sunlight was a nice break from the artificial lighting within the building and it seemed the rest of the clowns had disappeared. Upon further investigation, there was another clown had been crushed underneath a portion of the wall that had fallen, their whole upper body was trapped underneath the ruble and only their legs were sticking out. The other seven were gone, but that didn’t let the Wraiths lower their guard. They had already been tricked once and they did not plan to be tricked again. They made a quick search of the room, and saw that there were ropes leading down through the hole and back down the building and it gave them an idea for a way up to Chama’s floor.

“How about we just use that whole that Ron made?” Rogueboy suggested. “We all have grapples right?”

Ron inspected the outdoors and nodded. “I agree, this may be the easiest way and Chama probably won’t be expecting it.”

The Wraiths lined up along the edge, aimed and fired their grapples up to the next floor. They still had to find an easy way to get through the window but that was not a priority at the moment. They began to climb, clipping the ends to their belts to ensure their safety if they slipped. Zeshaun pulled himself up in a steady rhythm, he found it hard to do strenuous physical tasks when he could not concentrate. When they were half way up the building a familiar high pitched laugh rang in between the buildings. The Wraiths looked up and saw nothing on the roof or on the upper floor.

“Look, up on the other building!” Nick shouted as he pointed behind him.

The eight remaining clowns were on some kind of hover craft, flying back and forth in between the buildings. The surviving clowns managed to get a speeder up to their height, they turned to aim their guns toward the prone Wraiths, backs exposed and with nowhere to hide.

“Fire!!” Ron yelled not knowing what else they could do at the moment.

The squad stopped climbing and opened fire, attempting to keep the clowns from getting an easy shot against them. Out on the side of the building they were completely exposed. Nothing was there to take cover behind, and Zeshaun got a bad feeling that they would all die. They avoided being hit as best as they could, but since they were hanging from the side of the building there wasn’t much that they could do.

“Aim for their engines.” Anival suggested.

Zeshaun lined up a shot but a sudden gust of wind forced him to fire off target and so he missed, the windy conditions were not helping them get in many successful shots and Zeshaun nearly lost his footing more than once. Out of the corner of his eye Zeshaun saw Rogue propping something up against the wall, it was the concussion rifle they had found earlier. Rogueboy pulled the trigger and a single shot exploded near the engines, the splash damage managed to hit the engine, forcing it to sputter. The clowns frantically ran around their small vehicle trying to stabilize it. The speeder began to drift toward the Wraiths.

“That doesn’t look good.” Jamasis said.

The speeder gained speed as it came barreling toward the building. It hit the building right above the Wraiths, smashing through the wall and into the room above. Metal, glass and other parts of the wall came raining down on the Wraiths, Zeshaun covered his head as pieces of debris bounced off his armor. Fortunately it had made an easy access point into the level where Chama was hiding. Unfortunately he would most likely have heard that and now any element of surprise was lost. The Wraiths scurried up the wall, and jumped into the room only to be met with a flurry of blaster fire. All the clowns had not died from the crash and now the survivors were using the crashed speeder as a shield.

“We don’t have time for this.” Ron said as he fired. “We can’t let Chama get away after getting this close.”

OOC:
its been over 24 hours, no ones posted. . . so here's another post from me well, now we are actually up in Chama's location but we have brought along four  of the clowns who are preventing us from really getting into the floor. After we defeat these four, we cna search for CHama and then extract him

The squad continued to fire, Anival was almost out of ammo, and he was sure so were the others. Aiming his weapon carefully at the weakest point in the armor, lightly squeezing the trigger Anival fired, two shots sunk into the clown neck, the first was his own, the second came from RB’s weapon, it was also the shot that killed the clown.

“Demnit, you stole my kill!” murmured Anival trying to liven the move, through no avail.

Standing up to see the other clowns, Anival noticed only two remained, somehow the squad had killed off a clown as well. One of the clown threw a grenade to were the were hiding, the Wraiths immediately ran out, just in time as the explosion charred the floor, Anival saw one of the clown lift its weapon, choosing action rather than thought Anival lunged at the clown.

The clown wasn’t as strong as Anival had thought, it punched him twice in the face, not feeling anything but the power of the punch, the helmet was wonderful even in physical confrontations. Pivoting to the left Anival sent a powerful kick to the clowns face, a “umph” and a crack were audible, the clowns mask had split. Anival took the time to see what the rest of the squad was doing, they were keeping the clown at bay, shooting at it whenever it tried to come to its friends rescue.

Anivals opponent was already on its feet, and in a fighting stance, Anival firmly planted his feet on the floor, and waited to see what the clown would do. The clown swung its right fist, only to fake at the last moment, Anival blocked the punch, but failed to block a kick from the clown, it caught him in the chin, and sent him backwards, Anival broke his fall with his arm, his wrist whined in protest, getting back up only to be met with a flurry of blows was new to Anival, after being in the army so long it rarely came to a physical fight, it was always a battle of distance.

“Rykin, Bacredi and Joamer, go and get Chama, before he escapes!” Ron ordered loudly.

Anival heard a few shots, and the pitter patter of feet on floor. Anival snapped back to the battle when he received two raps to the head, he leveled his hand and delivered a series of blows, this had to end quickly if they were to secure the planet efficiently. Anival slammed his fist against the clowns face, all but one were blocked, next Anival grabbed the clowns hand and pulled it close, he slammed his helmet repeatedly into the clowns face, more cracks appeared on the mask, and the clown fell down dazed.

Anival aimed his weapon ready to end the clowns life. The mask fell off, Anival was curios to see who was behind the mask,  he waited a little and then the clown took out a vibro-dagger and aimed it to the soft mesh that lay just beneath the armor, Anival shot without meaning to, the dagger sliced at his inner thigh, not enough to do any damage, but enough to sting.

The clowns mask fell off completely, exposing it’s face, or not its face, but her face, it was a young female, she didn’t even look old enough to drink, her face was now marred by a clean shot in the forehead, suddenly Anival felt sick, he took of his helmet, it turn out to be a mistake, the smell of char meat was in the air, he buckled over and threw up.

A few more shots from automatic weapons was heard, then a gurgle, Anival was to dazed to check if it was from a wraith or from the clown. Anival felt a hand on his back, he didn’t know who it was, he was focused on the girls face, he had ended her life, he was supposed to be making the galaxy better for the youth that would claim it later, not kill them off.

Finally his brain kicked in, she had tried to kill him, so he had done the rational thing, with a cold expression he stood, and wiped his mouth, donned his helmet, and shrugged the hand off, and walked towards the clowns body, he considered what he had done and nodded to himself, a silent farewell to the girl and her companions, they had died doing what they believed in, it was wrong, and that’s why they had died, if they had been destined to avoid imperial rule, wraith would have been dead.

Clicks on the floor signaled the return of one of the wraiths that had gone out to get Chama, it was Bacredi he was limping slightly, Anival looked at him, he had a small hole in his chest armor, it hadn’t gone all the way through, he had been careless.

“Chama is in custody a bit bruised and battered but he is alive.”

Ron nodded and the squad followed Bacredi to a small room, there was a small automated turret in the middle of the floor, a good place if anybody was inside, but a bad place to attackers, it had probably been taken out by an EMP grenade, Chama lay on the floor, he sported a black eye, a nose that was bleeding sluggishly, on his check was a bruise that had broken skin.

“Helena, check him, don’t apply any bacta , just clean him up and make him look presentable. I’ll contact the Dominion and tell them we are done with our objective.”

“Anival, Zeshaun, and Joamer, go and make sure the building is clear.”

“Yes sir.” Responded Anival. He waved Zesh and Joamer over, they had to climb down level by level to make sure no enemy of the empire had lived.

The trio walked out, on the way Zeshaun looked at the clown Anival had killed.

“So it was a she.” he asked

“Yes, a very young she.” replied Anival his voice cracking slightly

Zesh said something in his own language and they continued to walk out, their mission almost at an end. For some reason Anival felt dirty, he was aware of the sweat clinging to his body, he was looking forward to taking a bathe and sleeping all the way back to Tadath.

OOC:
Alright objective is done, Ron is contacting the Dominoin, Chama is in custody, Zeshaun, Joamer, and Myself are scouring the building, basically weak or wounded security, we either kill the ones that can't be saved, or take some into custody, the VE could use some slaves
