Earth Hour

Hey all,
I encourage everyone to turn their lights off between 8 and 9 p.m. because that time is Earth Hour. For those of you who don't know what this is, it is the hour when we turn off all unnecessary electrical equipment for that hour to save electricity and thus, help Earth in some way.

I encourage you all to participate, though you don't have to. I have heard on the news that it is being done worldwide.

(If you look at the Google page it says their lights are out because the page is black and the writing is white instead of being the complete opposite. That's what Google Canada did today anyways.)

but the hockey game is on! not to mention turning off all your lights and then turning them back on would seriously drain more power then just leaving them on.

Hell for all we know it could be a TERRORIST plot to blow the generators through overuse.

Of course that's just the paranoia setting in and those nifty TERRORISTs which I love bolding their name fits right into politics or so it would seem. I'm gonna shut up now because I'm not making sense.

As a card-carrying Evil Republican I plan on turning extra lights and gadgets on during that hour. Feel free to 'offset' my increased electrical usage, and enjoy the dark.

Yes, extra lights were on. But only because I hate everyone and this was my little F-U to the rest of the planet. It's not very often I get to be a dick to an entire world.
