The first step is pretty straight forward and involves creating a biography for your character. You will post that on the "Naval Academy" section of this ComNet. You can find examples by other members bios here:

Description:

Physical: Jayle is a fit man, he keeps himself in shape. Although he may not have big muscles, he isn't fat either. Jayle has the usual routine of a day for his excersize, chin-ups, running, weight-lifting. Jayle has man tattoos around his body but none are seeable when clothed, except for the top of a large tattoo that represents his whole spine. He had a few scars along his face in chest, these were from the torture he had received as a slave when he was a small boy.

Posture: Almost always straight, rarely slouches.

Pet Peeves: Getting corrected, being ignored, having to apologize, and having to repeat himself.

Emotional Description: Most of the time he is a nice guy, he cares for everybody, but if his past is brought up he can become very mad and/or upset. He sometimes hellucinates about his past. On the rare occasion Jayle will be able to open up about his past, but if you try to make him go past the point where he doesn't want to go, he will probably knock you out for the ten count. Ever since Jayle was a boy he had been alone, his parents gone, no other relatives, barely ever a real friend to have his back. This causes depression and thoughts, and dreams he does not want. He usually keeps himself in check and doesn't let it effect his work or anybody around him.

History:

Childhood

Jayle was born on the moon of Onderon, known as Dxun. He was born to become a mandalorian and one day possibly, the greatest mandalorian ever. That all changed when many people raided the planet, many died, many lived, many were kidnapped. Jayle was one of the children that was kidnapped. The people took Jayle to a sand planet known as Tatooine, he was sold to a man that that ran a large Wookie slavery business on Kashyyyk. Jayle was sent to spot the wookies before the slavers went in to take them down. He had been attacked many times by wookies because of this. When his master bought a droid from a shifty trader, the droid was defective and shot his master down. Jayle tried to run away but was caught by another Slave trader, this time his master was a very cruel man and tortured Jayle with whatever he could find. If Jayle mucked up, he would be whipped, if one of the men or slaves die, he would be cut. Jayle almost died, until a band of mercenaries had rescued him. He was bought to a mercenary base and taught to fight, then as he got older they made him fight for them. Jayle did not want to fight for them, he didn't want to fight at all. The mecenaries tried all they could to make him fight, they knew he would do good for them, but Jayle didn't want to. The mercenaries wanted Jayle to fight desperately, so they tried more violent means. They whipped Jayle continuously, trying to beat him in to submission. Jayle was twelve years old now, he was strong, stronger then a few of the mercenaries, Jayle saw a blade on a table near by. Jayle wriggled out of the ropes he was trapped in and quickly jumped over to the table, he grabbed the blade tightly and shoved it into the nearest mercenaries stomach, he then grabbed the mecenaries blaster and shot down the remaining two mecenaries. He needed a plan to escape the base without getting killed. He put on the mecenaries armour and walked outside, nobody spotted him so he kept running. Jayle has no idea how to get to a city. He saw a star fighter, he had never flew one before but somehow he knew he could pilot it. He quickly got in, clicked a few things and took off. He was doing ok for the first bit until he started spinning out of control. He kept clicking buttons until the ship stopped spinning but was plummeting to the ground. Jayle yelled and started pulling the ship up, he was a small part away from the ground when he pulled up and started flying, he know had control. He then set it a random course to coruscant and started flying.

Adolescence and Early Adulthood

Jayle had been on coruscant for many years now with nothing but his starfighter. Jayle had gotten alot of practice with his starfighter and was doing really good. He heard word that day about a job as a bartender at a local Cantina, so he went over and requested the job. The owner sort of felt sorry for Jayle so she let him have the job. Jayle held that job for almost a year when he had saved up enough money to sell his small A-Wing to buy an ARC-170. Since Jayle bought the ARC-170 he had been doing randoms jobs for people wanting to have things "Eradicated" Jayle did these jobs with ease and raked in the money. He sooned got enough money to buy a cargo ship to do other jobs. He was getting alot of money from these jobs until he decided to go to school. He had the money to enroll so he was going to study all sorts of ships. When he was asked question about the ships though he was not able to answer them. He did not know the names he just knew how to fly and repair them. He did not pass the class the first year so he repeated it. He knew alot that year and passed. He continued to learn about starships until he was twenty years old. At that time he had enough of just doing odd jobs he wanted something more, he sold his ships and got a large sum of money for them. He then spent a year trying to find a good job, until he found the perfect one.

The Vast Empire Navy

As Jayle had nothing else in his life, he needed this. He had been recruited for The Vast Empire Navy where he was undergoing training at Flight School.
