From Chris (Arturus's Brother): I would like to apologize for the outrageous conduct i displayed in my over reaction the other night. I wanted to get my brother out of VE because I felt I was doing him a favor and getting rid of agitations in his life. That sounds lame but i was thinking of my brother. I also wanted to get back at riel for what he had been doing to my brother. You may ask how i know this, simple, i hacked into ym brothers computer and read logs and everyhting so i could best act like my brother when i got him out. I didnt want him to leave right away, i wished to discuss it with him firrst, thats why the official resignation letter wastnt to go through until monday. Thats why i depserately tried to get him back onto the roster until then. Anyway when my brother came home i set it up so he could play kalebb and cleared all that had been said in the VE room. Later that night i showed him what happened and laughed. I was proud thinking i had done him a favor. Instead he flipped and demanded i apologize to all so that he would still have the possiblilty of advancing in VE. I hope that this will calm great angers against my brother. I realize now what i did was completely outrageous and i deserevd the beating i got form my brother *ouch*. ANywya i hope you will drop all grudges against him as it wasnt his fault. What I did was stupid and very immature. So please forgive him and treat him as these events did not happen. I will also apologize now for the figth the first week my brother joined. I cheated and aliased and pissed off everyone while I personally was having fun. ANyway im sorry for all my conduct and i will never come on and annoy u guys again. Thank you Chris

Well, after having spoken to both Arturus and his brother at the same time on IRC, I believe this to be a faithful accounting of their view of the situation of the previous day. At the least, his brother comes across as sorry for basically putting words into his brother's mouth. Regardless of any personal issues anyone may have with any members, other than driving all over the place to confront them about things personally, we only have the "faces" we present online to work with. If Arturus' brother came on hoping to "save" his brother from us posing as a member, there's not a lot we can do to prove or deny that. In fact, today they seemed to be working on an internet connection sharing access to the network. So, to give him the benefit of the doubt, if Arturus says his brother tried to deep six him out of the Vast Empire, then we have no proof of anything other than that. That said, if it turns out he was duplicitous in his actions and has since reconsidered resigning, I would hope he did so for a very good reason as that would be pretty inconsistent with the conduct we strive for. I think a lot of things get said in channel that irritate people from time to time. Provided this is all true, I will personally give Arturus the benefit of the doubt and try to remind both him and the rest of us (including myself) to not take things so personally. As far as this matter is concerned, I would like to move on and hope it does not repeat itself in the future.

It will never truly cease, but everyone has their much-needed moment to crack loose, feel like bawling someone out or just doing something totally insane in spite of everything that will result. It is an integral part of human nature. The Japanese corporations make their employees spend a whole hour each day thumping pillows with baseball bats. Wouldn't it be great if we could do that for the VE?

Thx everyone and yes darkhawk that is the honest truth i know its very difficult to prove but i think u just have to take things at face value and have a little faith in ppl i again apologize for my brothers conduct and spart what a great idea that is man i wish i could do that everyday :P maybe we need to create a VE pillow bashing room
