The Twi'lik looked into the mirror. Reflecting back  her own silver gaze she couldn't believe that he had talked her into it. She was Saph, yet it wasn't saph who seemed to look back. Instead of being dressed in her normalr attire of pants and a shirt with her weapons she was instead laced into a dress.

Damn me for making that bet with him..


Saphira was now wearing a body formed black dress. Strapless so her shoulders  rolled bar into the warm air. The tag on the side scratching her under the armpit as she stood to the side so the tailor droid measured to make sure it was the perfect fit.

"You look wonderfull madame!"


The mechanical voice purred back. Saphira clenched her hands into tight fists and counted to ten. It was all she coudl do not to tear the dress off and kick the droid in it's mental circuts. Even thought she knew it was programmed to do it's job it wasn't helping her mood.


"Hurry up Saph.. I wanna see what my money's getting me." Came Jelly's voice from behind the curtian. In retor she gave a low growl. Jelly only laughed. "It can't be that bad..."


"I'll show you bad..." she snapped back as the droid brought her up a pair of black dress shoes. At least she was able to pick the color of the dress.

Thank the gods we're on Leave  and not on VE headquarters.. I would never hear the end of it.


She thought to herself, slipping on the shoes. Blessfully she could at least strap her vibroblade to her leg so she had something to feel safe. Not that she didn't trust Jelly. He was her SL,  but she never liked not going around armed.

At least on Coruscant there were too many people and she would at least blend in somewhat. Finially she took a sigh and looked once more back into the mirrior. She had to admit that over the past few months her's and Jelly's reletionship had changed. They had gone from barley knowing one another to being friends. Yet this new twist was confusing her. Quit thinking about it.. it won't change the fact that you lost the bet on those podraces



Taking a deep breath she unballed her fists. Letting the blood flow back into her finger tips so they tingled with the sensation of feeliing that returned. The tailor droid took the tag off and left her.

"Your lady will be out in a moment.."


Again Saph rolled her eyes. Droids were to literial. Yet there was a spot that tightened in her stomach. It almost hurt as she turned and walked out from the room. The curtina falling back against her as Jelly would see her now for the first time.

"So dinner then?" Jelly asked looking at Saph.

"Yes why not." Saph replied still being herself. The fact that he called her beautiful was still a shock as he [pulled her close to him out on the streets. Thankfully this was the better part of town. There were quit a few dressed nicley but Saph wasn't fooled. There were still those that wanted to make a quick meal. Wether it be in credits or.. other activites she didn't want to find out.

I promised Doc I'd behave this time anyway...

She thought to herself.


"You look nice.. and civil..." She replied  with a smile playing on her lips. Jelly looked over at her.

"Civil? Women..." He started but didn't finish when she teasingly elbowed him in the side.

"And what will you have Ma'dam?" The waiter asked turning to Saph.

The Twi'lik felt her face redden with embaresment as she looked over the menu. Each item she could tell was very expensive and yet she was flattered that Jelly had taken her here.

"I will have what he has. Medium Rare as well and a Side salad, light on the dressing."

Her voice rang out softly. The waiter nodded and walked off to go place their order. Feeling slighty embarressed she looked back at Jelly and gave him a smile. Letting her veil fall so he could see the true Saph that was hidden behind the smugness and snappy attitude.

"Hungry?" He asked in a quiet tone. Saph blinked and for once let out a sigh.

"Yes..."

Jelly smiled then and leaned farther into the table. Taking his hand across the smooth white table cloth. His finger tips touching hers gently and he was suprised when she didn't pull back.


"Good.."

Saphira lowered her head. Feeling her stomach twist with a strange feeling as his warmth streached from his hand to hers. For some reason she was being very comfertable with him. A far cry from their first meeting that ended up with them both carrying welts from his antics in the park those many months back. The thought made her chuckle.

"What's so funny?" Jelly asked, leaning back into his chair with a small smile. Impressed that she was opening up more to him. The thought in that was plesent and refreshing.

"I was just thinking about how our friendship started out.."

Quievering up her right side of her mouth to form a sly smile he tried to say something else when the waiter returned with two long slender glasses and a bottle of wine. The smile on his face beamed back at them. Both Saphira and Jelly looked at the older man.

"Something wrong?" Jelly asked. The waiter shook his head as the glasses were placed down on the cloth. Poping the cork with a pop he shook his head.

"Nothing is wrong.. It's not often I  See couples in here that read off true love.."

Jelly smiled taking a sip of his wine. It was fantastic ,but of course at these prices it had to be. They weren't so bad for his salary though any lower in rank and payroll it might be. It was good to be king he though with a sarcastic laugh in his mind.

"So what to talk about." Jelly said shuffling a bit with his feet.

Jelly looked around and playfully poked Saph's arm with skill and speed turning away quickly as if nothing had happened. Jelly toke another drink of the wine then tapped the table a bit.

Jelly smiled mischeviously and moved away teasing Saph even more.

Now lets see what she does.

Jelly sat on the edge of the seat looking at his food poking it a bit before looking back up at Saph.

"Hmmm." He said looking down taking a bite of the steak.

Jelly looked at her confused giving her a strange look.

"What are you talking about?" He asked giving the stupidest look he could give her though seriously he didn't know what she was asking about.

Maybe the wine has made her crazy or its some weird Twi Lek thing he thought looking straight at her face then back to his plate of food.

"Ohh where you asking why you've had my attention well thats for me to know and you to find out." Jelly said smiling

Jelly looked at her sadly and went back to eating his steak. When he finished he noticed  Saph was looking about ,but not directly at Jelly. He quickly paid the check and tip.

Watching Saph for a moment he got an idea to hopefully get her back into the dating mind. Standing he walked to her side of the table and offered her his arm.

"Shall we go for a walk?" He asked smiling genuinely for the first time in a long time.

Jelly thought for a moment thinking back to their many previous conversations.

"Well being a capital there aren't very many woods ,but I would say a walk in the park how does that sound?" He asked waiting for her to take his arm.

"Tag your it!!!" Saph yelled childishly as she ran off into the brush.

"Dammit Saph what about your dress?" Jelly called wildly after her.

She can be such a child ,but I guess thats one of her many quirks that I love about her Jelly thought smiling to himself.

Taking off his dinner jacket he let it flop carelessly to the dirty ground before taking off after Saph. He crashed into the brush after her only pausing to see a lonely piece of black cloth dancing in the wind from a branch. Jelly could only shake his head as he continued after Saph.

Seeing her ahead of him and sped on at break neck speed tackling into her ,but none to roughly landing on top of her his face was quite close to hers as he stared into her eyes his lips close. He could smell her sweet breath and she breathed heavily.

Jelly smiled at her then let out a breath and flopped down on his back.  He slowly moved his index finger in a circle on Saph's palm thinking what to do next. He then patted the ground next to him.

"Well since we're already dirty might as well relax." He said hoping she would lay down too. He stared up into the sky at the winking lights of the city that blazed overhead.
