Alright, I'm the BioWare expert, so it's my turn.
I'm not sure if you knew this, but KOTOR 2 was given to a company called Obsidian, and LucasArts wanted it ready for a Christmas release, so it was rushed out the door. That led to a general feeling of incompleteness at the end of the game, with obvious hanging plot threads and a final planet that didn't take as long as the first mission. So it goes.
As far as KOTOR 3, not much is known. All that is known is this: BioWare (the makers of KOTOR 1, and other fantastic games such as Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, and most recently Mass Effect) have an unnamed MMO project with LucasArts. Considering their relationship with the first KOTOR and BioWare's rather uncanny success at never making a bad game, it doesn't take a huge leap in logic to come up with the unnamed MMO project being KOTOR. Yeah, I would prefer another SP game, but MMOs are the wave of the future or some junk...
As for whether it's going to be 360 or PC... I mean, at the earliest it will be released in 09, so it's too early for conjecture on that right now. MMOs have a long development cycle, and BioWare is known for having exceptionally long development cycles for games (possibly why their games are such high quality), so it's release date and possible platforms are still up in the air. Actually, most likely not. God, I feel like such a nerd, but anyway...
Systems tend to have a lifespan of 5-7 years. Right now we're just entering year two of the next gen cycle. Moreover, when development is going on they'll choose the platform pretty quickly, and if development has already started, they've already chosen a current gen system to develop it for. It *has* been known to change late in a development cycle (i.e. The Twilight Princess), but that is the exception, not the rule.
So KOTOR 3, when it is released, will either be PC exclusive or on a system that is currently out now. Rear Admiral Riel Fury

Alright thats good to know Riel, thanks much. I'm pretty sure it will come out for the 360 though mainly because it came out for the older Xbox. It was never made for the Play Station systems from what I've heard.
