Friends, Fellow Pilots, and Noobs alike; lend me thirty seconds of your time.
I joined this group in June, and in that spate of time, I have seen the whole organisation go through some big changes. One of those was the resignation of two members, who both caused a great stir, and also set off reforms in the Army and Navy alike, leading to the new generation. One of the few good things that I can say about my time in the VE as Max Fagron is that I was "old stock" (that I had been here for over three months) , that I could remember the Interceptors, the golden petrol, the-
Okay, I'll stop reminiscing, or else I'll say that our TIEs shot solid platinum bolts. Basically, I joined the VE before the wave of new recruits in September, when a lot of old members, or at least the ones I remembered, fizzled out or left. People like Krius, Etan, and Than especially, who instructed me in the ways of this great organization, and who gave me my first and (as I suspected) last promotion. Other people, like Finch or Merrick, who new me as Oober-Noob, have not left, but who I see less of now. Other people in the Army such as Luckystar, who was my first friend here, who I still talk to, have always remained friendly, and I thank them. What really got me was this announcement that Shaz made at the meeting on the 14th of October, that Kaph squadron was being disbanded, and that I would be sent to Nazgul. That was a shatterer for me, and I still feel my heart twang when I think of it. I became disillusioned with the Navy, not knowing I would be moved away from the squad I cared about, and into one that was new and alien. My thanks to all members of Nazgul. It wasn't you, but me. I wasn't right in your squadron, and for that I am sorry. And losing Than made me feel as if the VEN was gone to me.
That is what has prompted me to resign from the Vast Empire Navy, effective immediately.
I, Max Fagron, Senior Crewman, resign from the Navy, and from the Squadron of Nazgul, if I am permitted by my Squadleader Trevor Evenson.I now have an army character named Verlock Macross, who I shall continue to write with, and that name I shall call myself on IRC.
Max Fagron is no more.
Go cabhróidh Dia libh ar bhur mbealach, agus go feicfidh mé sibh go gairid. Slán.
