Sorry i haven't been around guys, but i have some more bad news...

I will be resigning as your beloved (or not) squad leader. I hate to leave you all like this, but there are a number of good reasons for my departure from this position. I wont list them here, but if you happen to catch me on IRC and you're curious, don't be afraid to ask.

I had a great time leading you bunch, and i know you'll continue to flourish under your new squad leader (whenever he gets the assignment.)

Until we have had time to officially locate a new SL, consider Arnaut as your Squad Leader for purposes of reports on Thursdays (today )  Hayes should also receive the reports still as the ASL, so don't forget him.

We should have a new SL for you guys within a couple days, but we have to discuss with the cantidates first to make sure they understand the position first.  So until then, Arnaut is your "temporary SL" for purposes of reports.

As for the story, keep trying to get it along towards an conclusion, your efforts are not being overlooked without an SL being present

Have some squad news updates for you:

1) You all know of Gio's squad retirement of SL, so he's been removed from that position.

2) 2nd Lieutenant Aeos has come back from Reserves and has been assigned as your new Squad Leader.

Stay active and let's try to get the ball rolling again.

Hayes, Joamer, and Anival for posting on the AWOL topic.

Hayes has gone into Reserves and both Malik and Scratchet haven't responded to the AWOL. (We're trying to get a hold of them, however), so it looks like it may just be Joamer and Anival as the sole members of the squad.

Let's see if you guys can keep the story going. You've already done an excellent job - just keep doing what you're doing and we'll see if we can't dig IH out of this hole.

In short, you're lucky to have her. :P

Aeos sent me an update on her evaluation of the squad's situation. Things are pretty bad to say the least, and it doesn't look like there's going to be another pick-me-up anytime soon (anytime in the near future, anyway). Joamer is around, but is currently in the middle of moving and has temporary Internet access. Anival is essentially the only active member of this squad, and it was deemed unfair to him (and the squad) to let him go at it alone. I spoke with Rizzit concerning the status of the next wave of new recruits, and the numbers aren't large enough to fill the squad for even minimum progress.

Therefore, as much as I don't want to close your doors, it looks like I'm going to have to. There just aren't enough members to maintain this squad, and other squad's need filling as well. In the end, everything works out well for everyone: the people in IH will have more members to post with, and the squad's needing members will receive more in the long run.

Fret not! When we do get enough members, you can count on IH re-opening.

So, Joamer and Anival - you two will be placed in Wraith squad. You have two amazing leaders in that squad, and I'm sure you'll do very well with them.

Welcome to the squad troopers.  Since this is our first week and not even a complete week, you all have been exempted from reports (which would have been due in a day anyways).  So enjoy your no-report week

First off, perhaps a little about me for those whom have no idea whom I am (some of you do).  I go by Riqimo as a callsign, but most folks 'round here call me "Doc" and if you so wish, you can call me either, or something else you deem is fairly suiting.  ("What's up Doc?" may get you stabbed with a sharpened carrot, you have been warned.)  You probably will notice my divisions sidebar puts me about everywhere except the High Council, but rest assured that you guys are certainly a priority with me.  Saph has worked under one of my Squads and I'm sure she can relate that I tend to place my squad above many other things.  Anywho, anything else about me you want to know, feel more than free to ask.  (Yes I am single )

Now, onto actual squadleader stuffy stuffs...

ID lines for Iron Horse should be similar as follows:

Basically TRP will remain the same for all of ya'll 'cept Dante who has ASL, and myself with SL.  This represents your position within the squad.  Next comes your RANK, which is typically the abbreviation (Private  would be PVT).  Next comes your callsign, then a long stream of number/letters symbolizing where you are stationed within the VE.  As you may notice, we are all '1's, meaning we are the first squad listed on the roster

Also, do note that we have an IRC channel for the squad.  To connect to mirc, try this tutorial: http://comnet.imperialnetwork.com/topic/7839/.  Once you are connected, simply type "/join #iron-horse" and you are now within our squad channel

I think that about sums up the basic stuff, and I should be getting you guys a story up within a short while so we can actually get to writing some AWESOME STUFFS (trademark pending).
