Allriught guys. I've been working on this for not long. but i though t I would post it here in case anyone wants to read it.


The book is called : The Glory Prince



Leading Crewman Sayria was standing outside the Bridge doors waiting to be buzzed in.  She was nervous. She had never been called to the Bridge before, and she had heard stories....Stories that sent shivers down her spine. About how they tortured the people who set foot in there. She heard that the bridge was dark and damp, and that the lighting in there made everything look green. Of course, they were just stories. But were they true? She was about to find out soon enough...

She jumped when she heard the Captain speak. "Come in Leading Crewman." She gulped and slowly walked forwards.  The doors opened with a hydraulic hiss and a look of astonishment crossed the young  Leading Crewman's face. The bridge was not, like the stories told, a hideous colour or anything she had heard for that matter. It was big and very bright. The walls were made of steel. They were also full of electronic panels. The lights were of a neon white. Causing it to bounce off the metal surfaces and blinding newcomers of their surroundings until, a minute later, they got used to it. There was nothing to indicate that torture was practised here.  Aside from the Captain there were seven people present.  One Navigator, three Weapons Engineers, one communications officer and three more officers of which she did not know the functions. For they were standing behind the captain. She assumed they were Marshalls. The equivalent of security guards on planet Earth.  They had  Blasters that could knock out and even kill someone. Their faces were expressionless. They seemed to be staring at nothing in particular.
"Don't worry about them" the Captain told Sayria. He had seen her look at them nervously. "They won't do anything to you" he told her. Did he think she would be reassured? She didn't know. She didn't feel sure of herself.  The Captain forced a smile. His name was Kipper."'I asked you to come here because I wanted to talk to you about something."

"We're going to explore this Solar System. It's called the Bacha System. "
"Why's it called that , sir?"Sayria asked timidly. "I don't know" admitted the Captain. "That's not why I called you here. I'm promoting you to Senior Crewman . I wanted to do it in person. I like your work. Keep it up." "Gee thanks, sir. I don't know what to say." "You don't have to say anything...just keep my soldiers happy and in tip-top shape."
"I will, sir. " "Good." "Go tell your fellow soldiers what we will be exploring. And what to expect." "Yes, sir" she said. She marched out of the bridge and walked to one of four turbo-lifts.

The Glory Prince  was an immense Starship. It was ten thousand feet long and could house up to two hundred crew comfortably. It had three kitchens to serve the staff and visitors if there were any and a large cafeteria.
The Starship had a total of twenty decks, which did not include four large docking bays. She started walking back to where she had come :Engineering.

She entered a security code in a keypad beside the doors, and a second later a hydraulic hiss as heard as the doors opened and she could walk into the room beyond. It was a fair-sized room. It looked smaller than it actually was. She walked on the catwalks and shouted down to fellow crew members.

"Guys, we may be having a little of a rough ride." All looked up an acknowledged the information they were receiving and, after a minute they got back to work.

pretty good LS keep up the good work, and Jennabelle hilary is not up I think it's obama, but what that has to do with LS's novel i have no idea.

Anyway lucky, very good, nice description, sort of a star trek discovert novel.  Looking forward to more.

Watching movies doesn't get you anywhere. Movies tends to be incorrect if you hadn't notice.

I don't see your novel being published. Not here, not even in my imagination.
. As Cosmic said, your 'novel' seems to edge more in the path of a Fan Fic thingie then anything else. Stop believing in the American Dream,

I'm sorry, Luckystar, for distrubing your great novel, but obviously I've got a couple of minds that are too mixed in their own views to listen to others'.

Wow, that was like 12 posts of something completely not for this topic. If you want to disapprove of someone's idea, then do it in private.

I'd like to ask one of the moderators to clean Lucky's topic up so she can make an easy transition into her next post.

Well, we'll be looking forward to that, luckystar. BTW, didn't realize you were a girl, but I guess a lot of people didn't realize I'm a guy.
