Well, technically we're crewmen when we start off in the navy. Shaz should be around at some point to give you orders, but because he might not be here till later, I really really hopehe doesn't mind me postingthis for him
Now that you've posted here on the ComNet, you've actually completed the Imperial Initiation (II) phase of Basic Training (BT). BT's second phase is called Flight School (FS), which is made up of three chapters and an exam. The first chapter, and probably the most important aspect of our system, is that of Character Creation- the bio. In order for your character to exist in our club, our universe if you will, you need to create them in written form, detailing their stories, their personalities and the physical aspects that we may be aware of with a glance or perhaps things we can not see with the naked eye. Either way, you're going to tell us how to describe you're character in a more detailed fashion than you're probably used to, but that's part of the fun
So, if you'll follow the link below, you'll be able to see the entirety of Flight School, the portion of BT I was referring to above. BT is, essentially, training and thus, once you've passed through it, you're going to be placed in an Active Squadron, in 'Active Duty'. So, depending on how well you do here against the recruits currently training here, you'll receive a rank at the end of your training and receive certain recommendations or promotions. You'll want to go to Chapter 1- Character Development. So, lets get off to a good start and get you goin- Rock On!

Name: Lamel S'era Anna Evas
DOB: Y8 D19 BBY
POB: Coruscant
Hair color: Black
eye color: blue
height: 5ft 6in
weight: 127-130lbs
Race: human
Mother: Anina Evas(deceased)
Father: Agerigo Evas(deceased)
Brother: (will add later)
Sister: Saalia Evas(twin)
Growing up on coruscant alone. She had had to fight her way out of the orphanage from whence she came. She was born in the orphanage after her mother stumbled across the building a few days before her birth.
There a few days after her birth her mother passed away leaving young Lamel to the orphanage's care. Her father was nowhere to be found and so Lamel suffered for the first three years of her young life not knowing where she had come from.
She walked in from the streets accompanied by two troopers one day as they had accused her of the most dreadful thing and she hadn't done a thing up to that point.
She hated stealing and that is what they had accused Lamel of doing she had had to fight the two troopers but they had to stun her into submission to calm her down.
She slumped to the ground and sighed hating the punishment as she was drug back to the orphanage she knew what it was: The whip or as they called it "Tse-tse treatment for stealing" that was what the orphanage thought would cure theft but sometimes it killed the whipped person and they would bury that person in the courtyard of the orphanage.
This time however Lamel was dragged back to where the whip was and beaten with the whip until she screamed for mercy only then did the beating stop as she was taken back to the room where there was a medbay and set upon the bed she cried as she lay there alone in that room.
She wanted nothing better to do than beat the person who beat her with a whip. But it was too late to do so as the orphanage would close in a week. After that week was done with she was sent to live with a close friend of hers a friend she knew who worked at the orphanage.
She tried to help Lamel calm down the first night she was there at her place and it sorta worked but not very well as the damage from the orphanage had been done she stayed at her friend's house until she was well and old enough to go out on her own but when she did she had come to find out that she was one of two children born to their mother hence why her mother had died after her birth.
Her twin sister's name was Saalia, it was such a good name for the two she had gone to where she had been told Saalia was at and they sat and talked to her after a few long years she had caught up everything she needed to know of their father who was gone as well.
Reasons for going into the navy: Lamel's close friend whom she had stayed with told her about it and had finally got her to naval boot camp with her so she could keep busy in all sorts of training even combat, she learned how to shoot to kill, how to swim, how to defend herself and to avoid any attacker that came across her path. they both had had to get off of coruscant and go elsewhere for their training until they could get into the naval acadamy
Her reaction to someone saying hello or howdy: She would say hello or howdy back to the person but with a frightened tone in her voice say if the person looked like her abuser....

I would recommend that you break the story up into paragraphs. It makes it much easier to read. By the way, welcome to the Navy. ----------------------- ESC/ESN Than Sion/Kaph 5/Wing 1/mSSD Atrus/DEF/VEN/VE(=A=)(=*SA*=)(=MA=)[LoM][VC:S][CBV](x2)[MC:1][GWC]{VB}

Thanks, Trev
I'm Shazam, the TO (Training Officer) around here and I'll be grading your work and pushing you through to a squadron. If we can get you done within the next week or two then you'll be able to participate in the ESC, though this should really only take a couple of days at the most.
You bio- we have some sentence structure problems there that really get in the way of trying to assess your plot- mainly the over-usage of periods. I would suggest that you read through your bio again and start placing some commas as well as maybe a couple of extra sentences to help fill the gaps.
The plot itself is alright- your character is orphaned and there is bound to be some emotional ties to that. However, if your character is going to be a pilot in the Navy, there has to be some kind of education- they don't just put anyone in a fighter worth a small fortune. So- take this opportunity to display some of your characters skills- yes, she was in an orphanage, but she obviously had a friend that was willing to take her in. Expand on that- talk about their relationship a little bit as well as some of your character's talents and maybe how she managed to get into the VE. Remember that the Vast Empire is a faction of the original empire- it is not linked to Coruscant. Your character would have to get off planet in order to sign up. Also, note that you can make headings for your information- History, Personality, Physical Description, so on and so forth... This helps keep the bio easy to read. Make sure those are filled up though- this bio is just as important to the people who write with you as it is to you... Think of it as telling people how to write about your character.
If you have any questions whatsoever- message me in the message center. You can edit your post by clicking the little icon with the pen and paper in the upper right hand corner of your post; keep rockin ----------------------- *Flash Was Here...*

Hey Lamel, just wanted to let you know about the newly-implemented Academy story. It can be found on the Naval Story Board by the name "Battlefront: Suvari Conflict (VENA)". Most of what you need to know is in the first post, but if you have any questions feel free to ask me. It's pretty unrestrictive, so have fun and take the chance to get used to writing in the VE before being placed in a squadron.
Note: This isn't required for graduation from the Academy, but I'd recommend giving a try so you can get a feel for the writing here.

The barrel roll is called so because of the flight pattern in which the aircraft moves across the sky and twists inside and out, Turning in a barrel fashion or drum like fashion. The air flows smoothly, Without heed or want through the roll. The aircraft twists in the shape of a roll, the body of the craft turns with the ends as they come through the air. The craft lifts and the body spins just at the right second making it impossible to shoot.

That one manuever passes, we need another, and then you'll be able to get started on your wiki assignment.

The break turn is called so because of the way the ship or vehicle turns then stops thus taking a break in the air. The ship manuvers to the left or right stopping with each and every turn. this makes it impossible for an enemy to shoot at the ship as they do this manuver. The ship turns to the left but not stopping in the air if the missles are aimed at the ship. they will not hit the ship if the manuver is performed.

You are nearly there Lamel. I may have misread, but I don't think you quite have the particulars of the break turn yet (the fighter does not stop when making the turn). The rest of the description is well done, but I suggest taking another look at the maneuvers page and making the necessary edits. Keep at it, your almost there!

I'll be checking that this weekend- but I have to ask you: since we're currently in a time where people's time is very consumed by school- I'm going to give you the choice of where you'd like to go for a squadron. If you think you're up to it, we can put you in Nazgul, but you'll be writing semi-independently; there'll probably be one or two people helping out in the beginning. Our hope is that, after this weekend, we'll have people better grouped together so that won't happen, but if you think you need a group of more security- Kaph has more active members. I'll leave the choice up to you And if you have questions about anything or either of the groups, you can just ask here or ask the members themselves; have an excellent day!

Kaph Squadron is one of our oldest groups of members and includes the Squadron Commander Than Sion as well as the veteran Jaden; they are simply one of our groups assigned to writing stories, though they are currently writing on a joint story with the Army, so the entirety of the Navy is working toward a common goal.
