Darr-Rann looked at the datapad, scrolling through the briefing notes they had been given after it had all been wrapped up. They were going to a planet named "Phu" to kidnap an NR admiral. Not your average day at work.

They weren't technically going to Phu first at all They were making a stopover at a nearby space station, to board a civilian transport destined for Phu. The station was half-controlled by the vast empire, so they would easily be able to sneak their equipment onto the ship. They'd arrive on the planet two days early, to give them some time to prepare their operation.

Darr-Rann climbed into his speeder and started up the engine. He had called raiders to the barracks for a meeting The only other trooper who knew about their orders was Aphamos.

This could be one of the most important missions the squad was assigned in his time as squad leader, but he was certain they were ready for it.

A short post to kick things off Post about your personal life and going to the briefing. I'll have some mission details in my "Briefing" post.

Aphamos made his way out of Rizzit's office and stepped into the silent hallway.  One week on the job and you already have a mountain of work to do.  He shrugged, figuring that eventually he would get used to it and be able to plow through it easily.  He turned to the right and started to head down the hallway, nodding at the woman that passed him.  She had a bright smile on her face a smile that was transported to Aphamos when the two crossed one another.  What are you smiling for?  The smile waned off of his face and was replaced by his normal military countenance.

Dammit, what now?  Aphamos shoved his hand into his pocket and pulled out his vibrating datapad.  He pressed a few buttons and reached the message.  "Meeting today in the barracks.  Be there or don't bother showing up at the space station tomorrow," read Aphamos in a hushed tone.  Oh shit.  He had forgotten about the meeting that the Raiders were going to have regarding their upcoming mission to Phu and had scheduled a date with Rachel during the time of the meeting.

The two hadn't met with one another ever since his last mission, and he needed to see her.  Aphamos hadn't missed her like he thought he would, but talking to her comforted him.  Talking to her helped him make the realization that there was more than the military; there was more than war, bloodshed, and victory.  He hoped that she was alright all this time and that she had not moved to someone else because he had left.  And I have to cancel now.  Wonder how she's going to take it?

Aphamos pondered on the question as he got ready to type up a message on his datapad explaining to her what had happened and why he wouldn't be able to come.  Just as he was about to start typing, he received another message on his datapad.  The message, to his amusement, was from Rachel.  He opened up the file and read it out loud to himself.

"Aph, I'm really sorry, but I won't be able to make it tonight," he read.  "Something else came up, but we can get together another time.  How does Thursday sound?"  He closed his eyes for a moment and sighed.  It was a sigh of relief, but at the same time, he was angry.  She had canceled their first meeting in over two months, and he had really looked forward to seeing her.  Being a bit of a hypocrite, aren't we?  You were about to do the same with her.  What kept eating at Aphamos, though, was the fact that she was so vague in her message.  She didn't explain where she was going and just said that something else had come up.  He didn't plan on replying.

He went up the stairs to the next level of the next level of the building and entered his office.  He grinned upon entry, the color scheme of his room urging a different reaction from him every time he came in.  He had the back wall painted with red and white stripes, the wall to his right red, the wall to his left white, and the wall directly in front of him when seated black.  Ever since his childhood, he had believed that those colors were the most important ones; every human emotion and action could be characterized by one or more of those colors.  Other than his liking, he had had his office painted because he had grown bored of the lack of character in the other offices in the building.

He threw the stack of papers in his hand onto his desk and took a last glace around as he readied to leave his office and head to the briefing.  "Have fun without me," he said, turning the lights off and walking out.  As he re-entered the hallway, his thoughts came to the briefing that he was going to at the specific subject matter of the mission itself.

The mission was on the planet Phu.  The Raiders were to arrive at the planet by freighter and scout the area two days before the pod-racing event.  From there they are to track their target and capture him when the time is right.  Swiftly.  Silently.  Hopefully we won't get too creative with this one.

Senior Sergeant Rogueboy was spearheading an exercise drill that was bequeathed to him by a friend of his that was also a Drill Sergeant. The Drill Sergeant in question was called Giothani and he was currently at home trying to sleep off a hangover and had called Rogue as a replacement.

The Raider's ASL had modified the drill assigned to him and turned it into a skirmish by splitting the recruits into two squads and planting flags at opposite ends of the course. The objective of the recruits are to steal their opponents flag they are equipped with guns that fire small balls of paint that explode on impact signaling that the trooper is hit. Rogueboy preferred this method towards guns set on stun, as they do not work on stormtrooper armour.

A jingling sound filled the air as Rogue watched the recruits shot at each other a few of them walking off the field with a dejected look on their faces. The Senior Sergeant reached into his left pocket and withdrew his datapad and quickly scanned the message before blowing his whistle and calling the skirmish to an end. The acting Drill Sergeant quickly dismissed the men and was writing a report to Giothani as he headed towards the barracks room to change to something a little more appropriate, the stormtrooper officer uniform that he wore was definitely not something wearable to a meeting. The enlisted uniform would be more suiting regardless of how ridiculous Rogue thought it was.

The Raider's barracks room was small, consisting of four bunk beds laid out near each other, two small chests on each side of a bunk for personal belongings. There were two rooms at opposite ends of the sleeping quarters; one of them was a bathroom that also had the showers, the other was a crossbreed between a kitchen and a dining room. This room was originally a spartan kitchen consisting of a large table and nine chairs, but the Raiders brought in some personal belongings to make the room feel more comfortable. Comfy looking couches and a loveseat were added as well as a small holograph projection in one corner of the room.

Rogue quickly went to the bathroom to relieve himself before going to his chest and withdrawing his neatly folded housecoat and taking a shower. The Raider's ASL preferred a cool shower in the morning but after a work out he preferred warm showers to release the tension built up in his muscles.

The barrack room was empty as Rogue decided to head to the mess hall to get something to eat, that was the problem with the kitchen at the Raider's barracks it was only good for meals brought from home or if your grabbing something at the mess hall and eating it there. Otherwise it was impractical, these were the thoughts of Rogueboy as he entered the noisy mess hall and grabbed a plate to wait in line.

The adjutant walked through the hallway as the silence that permeated through the corridor was broken by the growling of his stomach.  Wow, perfect timing.  You should have eaten this morning.  He took a quick glance at the clock that jutted out of the wall ahead.  Alright, ten minutes.  Instead of heading to the barracks, he took a detour, now heading to the mess hall.

What did she cancel for?  We had this planned for more than a week now.  She knew about it before hand, it's not like it snuck up on her or anything.

He couldn't get the current situation about Rachel out of his head.  They had loved each other before he left; it was his fault that it was now over, and he knew it.  I was doing my job.  I was just doing my damn job.  He shook his head, trying to get himself to focus on the mission that was nearing.  You'll get your rest and relaxation after this mission, I promise.  Everything will cool down after this one.  He had promised this to himself before every mission, but it had never come true.

The mess hall wasn't usually bustling with activity, but with the surge of missions that had hit the Stormtrooper Corps, it was more crowded than usual.  It was a large room with plain walls; the larger tables were positioned in the middle of the area while smaller, two person tables were situated near the walls.  Monitors protruded from the walls and broadcasted shows that ranged from the news to the latest in sports and entertainment.  Spotting Rogueboy in the line, Aphamos headed to his assistant squad leader, dodging the oncoming men and women that were leaving.

"Hey good looking," said Rogueboy as he piled a greenish-brown substance onto his plate.  "Meeting starts in a couple of minutes."

"It starts in seven," said Aphamos, grabbing an apple from a container on the counter.  "Do you know what the hell you just put on your plate?  Looks like the fed a rancor some laxatives and collected the excess."

"In fact, I have no idea what I'm eating.  But judging by everything else in the line, it looks promising."  Aphamos took a quick look at the other foods and nodded.  I think the Empire has more of an internal problem than an external one.  He took a bite out of his apple as the duo headed away from the line and walked towards a two person table.  "We can only sit a little while, it starts soon."

"Alright, we won't be long," said Rogueboy.  "Now, what's on your mind Aphy?  Don't worry, I can tell, so you don't have to deny anything.  How's Rachel doing?"

Aphamos closed his eyes for a moment and then smiled.  He knows me too well.  "I don't know how she's doing, and that's the thing," he said.  "We were supposed to meet today, but the briefing was at the same time as what we had scheduled.  I was about to message her and tell her, but "  He was interrupted by Rogueboy who had raised his hand in order to pause him.

"She messaged you first and told you that she wouldn't be able to make it, right?" he asked.  Aphamos raised an eyebrow and nodded, puzzled by how Rogue would know this.  "And I'm guessing that now you think that she is seeing someone else because you haven't talked to her in a while?"

"How the hell do you know this?" asked Aphamos, both of them rising to make their way to the barracks.

"A little think called past experience," replied Rogueboy.  The duo exited the mess hall as Rogue readied himself for a lecture about women.

Rogue shoveled a mouthful of "guess what it is and win a prize" as he spoke with Aph about his love life or lack of. "Listen if you really want to know if she is seeing someone else how about after this mission I keep an eye on her?" Rogue said with a slight grin on his face.

Aphamos' eyes opened up and he began whispering. "Are you asking me if I want you to stalk her?"

The Raider's ASL shrugged his shoulders. "Stalk, keep an eye on her same difference. The point is are you obsessed with her? Or do you still respect her privacy?" Rogueboy said through another mouthful of tasteless processed meat mixed with healthy vegetable paste.

Aphamos looked thoughtful before replying. "No, I don't want you stalking her. How the hell can you eat that? What did they call it before giving it to you?"

Rogueboy picked up his napkin and cleaned his mouth before setting down his spoon. "I think it was called nerf-ass casserole or something. Anyways we gotta get to the meet." The dynamic duo stood up and walked to where people leave their trays before heading towards the exit.

"You see Aph, it's kinda like this; there are three reasons she might start seeing someone else, one of them is that she is actually fed up with you and has put an axe through the entire relationship." Aphamos seemed to sink when he heard Rogue say that. "Two is that she is trying to get your attention by saying, don't forget about me or else I will leave." The Platoon Adjutant seemed to pick right up again. "Three is that she is some kind of freak and that she wants two guys, if that's the case she is going to take you for a ride don't get emotionally attached."

The Raider's trooper seemed confused by that statement before he sighed. "Women confuse the shit out of me."

When Aph looked up to see Rogueboy he could see the Senior Sergeant with his biggest grin on his face. "Welcome to the brotherhood, usually in scenarios like this we drink, pick up some tavern wench, and wake up saying what the hell did I do last night. Unfortunately the only tavern wench we are going to see for the next couple of days is Namyr, and boy oh boy she would kick me so hard if she heard me say that."

"You know I never asked you what was going on between you and Namyr." Aphamos said rather shyly.

"Well you won't find out today that's for sure." Rogue said staring straight ahead.

Aph pushed the issue a little. "Why is that?"

"Because I'm right here." A female voice said.

Leon kicked the covers off his bed, the sheets landing with a soft thud on the ground below. He slowly opened his blood shot eyes, the white ceiling reflecting the sunlight straight into them. Leon rolled back over, shutting his eyes again. Man I don't want to wake up. I just want to sleep! Leon thought as he moved around on the bed uncomfortably. His muscles were aching from the past couple of days.

Leon had started a devious workout program to build up on muscle mass. He felt to weak, and he wasn't as big as he used to be, at least from what he could remember. He also went to the shooting range three times a week so he could improve his accuracy, and did other drills that would improve his ability to perform well in combat situations. It wasn't easy, and it sure as hell wasn't good on the body. And now, finally, the weekend had come.

Leon turned back over,  finally giving up. It would be impossible to fall back asleep, so he slowly slipped out of the top bunk and set his feet on the carpeted ground below. Rogue was no where to be found on the lower bunk. Probably off flirting with a couple of women. If Rogue had a true talent, then that would be it. Rogue was the master at getting women, and this was a proven fact. Leon had only been able to get three girls to come home with him in one week, while Rogue brought one every day. Leon didn't know how he did it, but what ever it was, it worked.

"New message."

Leon whirled around, his fists balled up, ready to strike. No one was their.

"New message."

Leon jumped again at the sound, and then slapped himself for doing so. It was his Data Pad signaling he had a new message. "Real smooth Leon, real smooth," said Leon to himself as he picked up the Data Pad and clicked the envelope symbol. The envelope slowly opened up, as if he had just opened it up himself. The message read:

Leon, meeting today in the barracks. We will be discussing something very important, don't be late or else...

Darr-Rann

Leon grinned when he read the "or else" part. It wasn't normal for Darr to be threatening people let alone his own squad mates. Leon shrugged it off, and went over to the bathroom. He needed a shower, and bad. He didn't take a shower yesterday because he was to tired, so he immediately went to bed and passed out. He realized what a mistake that was though.

Leon took a quick whiff at his underarms and cringed at how bad they smelled. He quickly walked over to the Refresher Unit, set the timer to five minutes, and hopped in.

Ten Minutes Later...

Leon was sitting in the living room, just staring off into space. It was a bad habit he had developed, and it happened often. I can't wait to see what it is thats so important about this meeting...

"Hey Nammy!" said Aphamos with a smile.  The Twi'lek replied with a smile and then turned and stared hard at Rogueboy, Rogue letting go of an uneasy laugh.  The trio looked at the clock ahead of them and moved to the side of the hallway, deciding that there was enough time for a bit of conversation.

"So what have you been up to, good looking?" asked Rogueboy in a sarcastic tone.  Aphamos closed his eyes and sighed, sensing a very dangerous and rocky future for the man in front of him involving the Twi'lek.  Yeah, she's going to kill him eventually.  Probably going to be painful too.

"I just killed three people," she replied in a cold tone.  "I crept up behind the first one with a knife and slit his throat; I snapped the second one's neck from behind him, approaching him the same way I did the first.  The last one was my favorite by far:  I sedated him and then ripped out his spine."  As unrealistic as all the sounded, Namyr had succeeded in terms of its effect on the troopers ahead of her.  Rogueboy was standing there, eyes wide with a puzzled gaze on his face as he tried to comprehend all that she just said.

"Well, it seems as if you had a spiritually enlightening morning," said Aphamos, trying to force a grin out through the uncomfortable feeling inside of him.  The Twi'lek nodded, her facial expression changing as she looked at Aphamos.  "I think we really should go now; we've had a good amount of chit-chat and the meeting is about to start up."  His attempt at warding them away from further dialogue had succeeded and the stormtroopers started their walk to the barracks again, Aphamos standing in between Rogueboy and Namyr.

Namyr gently slipped her hand into Aphamos' as they walked, Aphamos turning to Rogueboy beaming.  Rogueboy rolled his eyes, slipping his hands into his pockets.  The three finally reached the barracks and spotted Leon inside; the barracks wasn't too large:  two couches and two loveseats were situated in the center of the room with a monitor in the middle while four bunk beds were scattered around the center area.  Aphamos didn't sleep in the barracks - when he had joining the army, he was forced to, but later on he received his own room two floors on top of the barracks.  Ever since his childhood he preferred to have things to himself than to share with others, and that habit had come into play when he had joined.

"What's up, Leon?" asked Aphamos, jumping to the nearest loveseat.  Leon was lying on a couch with his eyes closed, trying to regenerate.  From Aphamos's perspective, the trooper had gotten a bit bigger, but from the looks of it, he was fatigued.  What's he been up to?  Aphamos shrugged, moving his interests to Rogueboy and Namyr.  Rogueboy was lying down on the couch while Namyr had the last loveseat.  They were facing opposite directions, Namyr examining her nails while Rogueboy was spitting bubbles out of his mouth.  I really have to learn how to do that.

"Not much Aph," muttered Leon, his answer being delayed.  "What's with the big hype about this meeting?  I haven't heard a thing about any mission or anything lately, and Darr sounded kind of scary in his message."

"We have a mission," said Aphamos.  "And it's going to be damn fun."

There was a loud beeping noise, followed by the shriek of metal on metal and a black cloud of smoke, causing Sayah to cough violently and curse a blue streak in Rodian. He quickly tapped a button on a control panel and the cloud of smoke stopped, leaving only a charred leather glove and a burning smell in its wake. Sayah cursed under his breath and removed the part from his mechanical arm. He continually was resolving to replace it with a limb that was slightly less prone to malfunctions but had neither the time nor intent to spend credits and time either replacing or redesigning it, meaning he spent a few days a month reparing damage, from faulty parts or otherwise. Using a pair of tweezers to extricate the melted piece of machinery, he carefully replaced it with a newer, more durable version. Straightening up, he closed the access panel in his limb and, flexing his fingers, went to his storage locker and got a new glove. His comlink chimed. Eyes closed, Sayah pressed the activate button and opened then in anticipation and then trepidation. The squad leader had sounded somewhat threatening, a fairly out-of-character action, which was the worrying part. Starting to suit up, Sayah lifted his helmet up, staring into the viewscreens and contemplating what the helmet implied to sentients throughout the galaxy. To some it was a sign of liberation while to others, knowing only the ravages of petty dictators such as Thrawn, symbolic of butchery and murder. Putting such thoughts aside, he started to change into the armour. He left the right arm and hand plates off, as usual, as his limb was more than sufficiently armoured. Lifting his helmet into the air, he slowly lowered it onto his head and hastened to the designated meeting area, the breifing room. Most of the squad members were already there, talking about matters such as family and their love lives, to take their minds of what the mission mi8ght entail. Sayah? Sitting to one side, listening in and feeling as if he was swallowing a vial of acid with each phrase or sentence he heard. Most of his family was dead, and his younger brother was even worse off. He had joined the Rebellion and had attempted to persuade Sayah to do so as well. Needless to say, he had refused and had sworn to kill him on sight if they ever met again. His father had died a heroes death, brinnging a pair of jedi to Imperial justice in an urban wasteland. Now, Sayah believed that love was for  those to weak or nearsighted to recognize that it was nothing more than a trick played on sentients by the forces of evolution. Morose, he looked up only when Darr entered the room. Gancing quickly at the clock, he noticed the Squad Leader was late, a rare occurence. He heard the briefing, noting important poings. The New Republic admiral was to be captured during a podrace and standard armour was forbidden. Hearing this, Sayah frowned and took off his helmet. (will expand)

Rogueboy began pacing the briefing room it was not unusual for Darr to be late the SL was always on time wearing his officer's uniform. Like all mission briefings there was a kettle full of caf and a plateful of biscuits and cookies.

The Raider's ASL took a mug full of caf and added some sugar so that it would not be so bitter. The squad sat around each other and began striking meaningless conversations about trivial matters such as time spent on leave and how the families are doing; to whoever kept in touch with theirs.

That was the conversation that Rogueboy hated the most because he had not seen or heard from his parents in over five years. There was the sound of an argument going on outside before Darr entered the barracks looking a little flustered.

"Sorry guys I'm late." The Raiders SL mumbled and Rogueboy rolled his eyes at the SL's breach of formality.

"Darr, you're the SL and outrank everyone here. You do not need to apologize even though we appreciate the gesture." Rogue quickly added.

"Well I found the person to pour me a big cup of caf." The SL said with just a hint of humour emancipating itself from his eyes.

The Raiders ASL made a show of mock grumbling and complaining about how higher ups seem to do as whatever they please before pouring Darr a warm cup of caf and giving it to him.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen I have gathered you here to brief you on our next mission." Darr opened his datapad and withdrew a datacrystal that he pressed into the holographic player. An image of a planet that contained many different looking ecological systems, all of them different from each other and showing a wide variety of flora and fauna.

"This is the planet Phu, we will be conducting a snatch and run mission during a podracing event. The target is a New Republic Admiral who goes by the name of Tufak Rychi. We will be wearing light armour under civilian clothing and will be carrying silenced mynock pistols. Aphamos who is our in-squad sniper will be carrying a silenced non-reflective slug rifle and will be our spotter for the mission; we will arrive on the planet two days before we kidnap the Admiral so we will have some time to scout out the local area. If anyone wants to bring a melee weapon do not overkill on it, bring something small, easily concealable, and for the love of all this is holy go to the armoury and have them treat it with a non-reflective spray, the last thing we need is to get caught with our pants down because some idiot didn't heed the warning. Are there any questions?"

Darr waited for a few seconds but no one seemed to have anything on their mind. "No, good we leave in a couple of hours."

Aphamos took a sip from his cup as Darr-Rann completed the briefing to their mission.  Aphamos hadn't gone on a mission like the one the Raiders were going to be on enter and capture.  He had always wanted to do something like this, but his eagerness was quickly swallowed up by reality.  This is just another mission.  You are going to get tired, heck, you may even die.  Don't be happy

Downing the rest of his cup, he sat up as the squad leader asked for further questions.  The troopers remained silent for the boundaries of their mission were quite clear.  One thing they hadn't discussed though were the specific tactics or weapons that they were going to use, and the last thing Aphamos wanted was to be creating them on the fly.  How're you going to change tradition?

"What stuff are we going to be bringing with us?" asked Leon.  He had finally gotten up from his position on the couch and was rubbing his eyes, trying to rid himself of the headache that he had.

"Don't get too fancy," said Darr-Rann.  "Dress casually and pack lightly.  Small handheld weapons that are concealed well are advised.  Keep in mind that if we are caught, this mission is over.  We have failed if we are spotted and identified as a threat.  Aphamos, bring your rifle in some sort of bag because we may need it depending on what happens when we get there.  The first two days we arrive will be before the start of the pod-race, and therefore we will be able to plan our attack during that amount of time."  Aphamos let out a sigh of relief because of what Darr-Rann had said.  They had time to scout the area before getting into trouble.

"Folks, we leave in four hours," he continued.  "Don't get drunk or high in that time period.  Make sure you are packed and ready with whatever you are going to be bringing as long as it follows the parameters that we were given.  We meet in three hours outside of the building."

Everyone in the squad stood up, each of them heading out of the barracks.  "You two think this one is going to be any good?" asked Aphamos as he was leaving with Rogueboy and Leon.  Leon lazily shrugged as Rogueboy flashed before he began his reply.

"Hell yeah," he said as the trio headed up the stairs and to the armory.  "We just have to pick the right stuff and not go crazy with the whole thing.  What stuff are you guys going to take with you?"

"My stuff is up in my room," said Aphamos as he slowed down when they came up to a crossing with a flight of stairs.  "I'll meet you guys downstairs in about thirty minutes, I have to pack up and do some house-keeping."

"Deal," said Rogueboy.  The three of them finally split up and Aphamos made his way up the stairs to his room.

The trio split up as they went to gather their gear; Aphamos went to his room while Rogueboy and Leon headed towards the armoury. "What are you going to request for this mission?" The Raider trooper said to the Senior Sergeant.

"Well I got two-thousand requisition points for this mission and a couple of hundred left over from others. Going to need some light armour probably going to grab a blaster vest, a pair of elbow pads, and kneepads. For weapons going to grab something that has a big clip and shoots fast; you know I suck with pistols. What are you getting?" Rogueboy asked.

As Leon went into detail about what he was going to use and how he was going to use it, Rogueboy looked around the armoury and sighed. They were currently waiting in a lineup that guaranteed they would not see any of the weapons they just talked about for at least another half hour.

Thirty Minutes Later.

"Force-damned quartermasters think they control the damn army." Rogueboy was fuming, he had just gotten his gear but the officer in charge of the supplies made it one hell of a time for him.

Leon tried to reason with his friend. "Technically Rogue they do control the army."

"Yeah, I know but they should be humble about it. We really need someone to put them into their place. Maybe I will when we come back." Rogueboy said with a menacing gleam in his eyes.

"C'mon Rogue, you don't need that shit in your life if it wasn't for Darr and the Colonel sticking out their necks for you, the army would love to toss you out. We really need to find you a girlfriend and get you settled down." Leon said almost pleading.

"I settle down every night, but in the morning I get back up. Don't worry Leon I won't get into anything I can't get out of." Rogueboy said with his cocky attitude.

"Hello boys." A sultry voice said.

"Hey Namyr what's up?" Rogueboy said quietly.

"Let me guess my foot up your ass." The red Twi'lek said without a smile.

"What did I do now, Nams?" Rogueboy said trying to appear uninterested.

"When you stay at my apartment, and you decide to use the toilet put the damn seat down! Are you trying to kill me? I almost fell through." Namyr's yellow eyes were blazing.

Leon began snickering as Rogueboy tried to come up with an excuse but failed. "I'll try to remember for next time Nams just you know I'm not into the habit."

"Yes, Rogue I am painfully aware of that but next time you do it beware; I might just change it from a toilet to a bidet just so I can laugh when I see your face."  Namyr eyes glittered with amusement at the thought before she walked away.

"That right there." Rogueboy said pointing at Namyr's retreating curvaceous figure, "Is perhaps the most dangerous woman I have ever met."

"Yeah I agree she could be scary at times, I would hate to be up against her up close. However if I had her at a distance& We all know that kill with her blaster rifle was pure luck." Leon said as he mentally measured himself up against Namyr.

Rogueboy chuckled. "Believe me Leon, if she wanted to you would never hear her coming. I started placing beer bottles under my windows and front door so that I can hear her coming. Anyways we got to go get geared up gotta find a place for this knife and these smoke nades." The Raider's ASL said as he headed towards the barracks with Leon in tow.

Leon chose his weapons carefully, mainly the ones he had used during his training sessions during the week days. Leon examined the weapons behind the counter, the Quarter Master eyeing him suspiciously. Leon glanced at the fat bald man who used to be an Imperial Storm Trooper, and then turned his gaze back to the array of weapons.

"Hey," Leon said casually, not bothering to look at him. "I'd appreciate it if you stopped staring at me as if I was a criminal, thanks."

The Quarter Masters face turned red, not exactly knowing what to say. Leon looked him directly in the eyes this time as he spoke. "If you have a problem, lets settle it now. I'd be more then happy to put you in the hospital."

The Quarter Master looked as if he would rise to the challenge, but then quickly backed down. Something about Leon intimidated him, it was his eyes. They weren't exactly normal, if anything they were dead. He quickly turned his gaze towards an E-11 that was on the counter below him, and started fiddling with the bolts and screws that held its frame together. Leon smirked at the mans reaction, but he then realized what an ass he had made of himself. It wasn't normal for Leon to do such a thing, but at the same time it felt good.

No, this isn't who you are Leon... It doesn't feel good... Apologize...

"I'm sorry. I don't know what happened to me back there... I guess if men had mood swings, that was it heh," Leon said as he rubbed his hand through the back of his head.

The fat bald Quarter Master simply nodded his head in reply, taking a brief glance up at Leon before resuming to his boring task.

Five awkward minutes later...

Leon walked into the Raiders Barracks once again with Rogue. The two had a quick discussion about Namyr. Apparently Rogue thought Namyr was able enough to take on Leon in a fight. He instinctively rose up to the challenge, but then quickly realized that such a thing would never happen. He diminished the thought in a split second, and resumed searching for his armor.

"So Leon," Rogue casually called out from behind him. "I haven't heard much about your love life in a while. Any new skirts I should be worried about? And if you need be, I could take a couple off your hands," said Rogue as he slyly sidled up to Leon.

Leon turned around grinning. "I dunno Rogue, you'll have to find out for yourself. And nah, I can handle all of them."

Rogue roughly punched Leon on the shoulder. "You mean theres more then one? C'mon Leon give me one."

"Alright alright, just to get you off my back," replied Leon.

"Good. I could use some loving right about now."

"Tell me about it."

"Wait what?" Rogue exclaimed.

Leon put on a cheek to cheek grin. The look on Rogue's face was priceless. "Alright you got me. I lied. I haven't been out to the bar or club in a while, let alone talk to any girls."

"You bastard. Watch, I'll get you back for this, and its gonna be a whole lot worse, just you watch," Rogue said as he walked away to pack his belongings.

Leon let out another short laugh before turning around and organizing his knives. He couldn't help but grin as he did this. Most Troopers wouldn't be to happy about going on a mission, but for Leon, this was great. It was exactly what he had trained for, and in some ways it might even be considered a vacation off from training. A weird vacation that is.

The squad made their way towards the star port where they were designated to board an old serviceable Gamma-class ATR-6 Transport and they would be transported to the planet Phu at hyper speed.

Rogueboy was lagging behind the squad as they walked through the grounds towards the star port. The Raider's ASL was trying to breathe in as much of the fresh Tadath air as he possibly could, the recycled air on a ship was less then comfortable and Rogue found it very dry.

The mission that the Raiders received was very unusual; they normally received missions that specified that they must be within special environmental suits were even the slightest of grazes could mean the death of a trooper. Because of this fragility the Raiders were expected to keep their uniforms and equipment in superb condition, there was a problem with this because the uniforms are kept by the quartermasters and in Rogue's opinion they were extremely lazy and did not keep the equipment in as good order as they should.

Twice in the past month Rogueboy had gone to the armoury and received armour with chips, dents, and a multitude of scratches. The first time he had voiced this to the quartermaster on duty he received a snappish response of. "Well you can go into battle without any force-damned armour if it suits you." The Raider's ASL was forced to make due with filling in the cracks with liquid plastoid which would harden within seconds of being applied. The dents he was unable to successfully remove because it would require him filing down the already scant armour.

If there was one thing that Rogueboy had learned during his stay with the STC is that don't expect anyone to do you any favours. Whenever Rogue returned his weapons and armour from a tour of duty he would always make sure everything was in full working order.

There were other channels to go through if you needed equipment then the STC armoury, shady characters, and the representatives of munitions suppliers would help troopers if they had the funds for it or for an exchange of a favour. Rogue had bought certain removable modifications for his standard load out weapons; a more detailed scope, bigger energy packs, a better cleaning and maintenance kit, and a silencer for those quiet days at the office.

Rogueboy thought fondly of the upcoming month; he would be on leave for a span of thirty-five days as he rented an apartment near one of Tadath's few oceans. The month and a few days of rest would help relieve the many shortcomings that Rogueboy had perceived from his job. Many of them had to do with the equipment that the STC armoury handed out, his shitty pay, and about a few lazy troopers.

The Senior Sergeant sighed it was unlike him to excessively complain usually he was the one who was optimistic or at times pointed out how things are and didn't worry about it. Death is death, he wasn't afraid of it he was only afraid of what comes after. Lately his mind has turned a lot to dying and usually he abolished such thoughts from his head but there have been an alarming number of casualties with the VE having two fight a two front battle. More then one trooper has been caught trying to desert or switch sides, a few of them were made an example of; one time Rogueboy was standing guard at one such interrogation. The unspeakable things that the interrogator did in order to withdraw information when the mind probes failed gave Rogue nightmares for weeks; it also took him a week of cleaning to get the blood off his boots.

Time to shut the hell up and do your job, you can always complain when your dead. Rogueboy smiled at the thought as he followed the squad into the star port.

As usual, the Star Port was bustling with activity. All around the Raiders squad, merchants could be heard shouting out advertisements so people would come by there Kiosk and buy something. Leon felt sorry for the ones that did listen to there "great" bargains only to later find out that it was a total rip off. Leon had learned this out of personal experience. The ones that weren't busy looking for a great deal were either on there way to a public transport or simply taking a stroll.

Leon made his way towards the front of the Raiders group, taking note that Aphamos was missing from the pack. Strange... Aphamos was never late. He was a very punctual person and was always on top of his game, at least from what Leon had seen so far. At the head of the pack was the Squads Leader, Darr-Rann. The clean shaved man looked as if he were deep in thought, not taking any notice of his surroundings. Leon gently tapped him on the shoulder.

"Hey Darr, whats up with you?" Leon asked, sounding as casual as he could.

"Thinking about the mission, and other important things."

"Heh, alright. I'll leave you be then. I got some of my own things to think about anyways hehe," finished Leon.

Darr-Rann nodded as Leon left, and resumed thinking. Leon was about to tap Rogueboy on the shoulder, but quickly stopped himself after noticing that Rogue himself was also deep in thought. Leon once again fell into the back of the Raiders group, giving Namyr a friendly bump on the way back. She seemed to take no notice of the young troop either. Whats with them all of a sudden? What a bunch of grumps. Leon sighed, feeling quite bored at the moment. He wanted to reach the planet Phu already and begin the under cover mission. The thought of it made him buzz with excitement.

Leon quickly calmed himself down. It would be a while before they even reached the planet let alone begin the mission. On top of that they would have to unpack all there things (Not that they had much) when they arrived on the planet. After that, the usual strategic meeting would be held in some unknown location so they could discuss there plans and ways of attacking. This was going to be one boring day for Leon, and the worst part about it was that he wished he could have been training right now.

Training was an important factor in Leon's life. It helped kept him fit, mentally and physically, and gave him something to do. Leon almost considered it a hobby, but he didn't have fun while he did it, so there for, it didn't count. The only aspect he did like about training was the physical aspect. From what he could remember, (And that wasn't a lot) this was the best physical shape he had ever been in. He loved the fact that he didn't have to feel embarrassed when walking without a shirt on. He also remembered not to flaunt it, but sometimes he had to. The ladies enjoyed seeing a nice body every once and a while.

There was also a sense of accomplishment that he attained after every training session. It felt good to see that he improved every day, no matter what it was. Leon also seemed to be getting stronger with each workout. He wouldn't admit it, but it felt good to be stronger then others. It was a strange feeling, but a good one at that. In the few weeks that he had trained for, he also discovered more of himself. He was more aggressive then others thought he was, he just didn't express it openly.

Leon bumped into Namyr, who in return shot him an angry look. "Oh I'm sorry, you just stopped. You don't have to be so moody about it."

Namyr stared at Leon hard for a few seconds, and then walked towards there destination. Ah were finally here... The group had finally arrived at there destination, which turned out to be an ordinary Space Liner. On the side of the massive cruiser in red bold letters, was the ships name. The Muhammad. Leon followed Namyr into one of the ships entrances, handing the Security Guard who stood in front of it there boarding passes.

"Have a nice trip!" Exclaimed the man.

Heh, I'll try...

The springs groaned as Sayah threw the last piece of his armour onto his creaky bunk. The piece, an elbow-piece, bounced off his helmet and rolled to a stop. Sayah quickly changed from his black body glove to his street clothes. Donning a leather jacket made out of spacers leather, a material said to be tough enough to withstand vacuum, Sayah looked in the mirror for a moment before opening a box of medical supplies and tearing off several strips of cloth. Humming an old Corellian folk tune to himself, Sayah started to tie them...

Fifteen Minutes Later...
a sling covered Sayahs left arm and he was slinging a rucksack over his "uninjured" arm as he strode to the specified meeting place. Hidden inside were two DC-15 blaster pistols and a vibroblade covered with a non reflective coating. The trick had cost him, in more ways than one.
He had learned the trick many years ago on the dying, still rain-soaked world of Jabiim. Rebel assaults and terrorism on the Imperial mines had resulted in the release of compounds into the atmosphere, turning the rain into searing acid and the ground into a yellowish, liquid-like hell. Despite the consequences of their brutal terrorist attacks, the rebels persisted, ignoring the deaths of both civilians and their captured compatriots. At the time, Sayah had been a bounty hunter, attempting to capture a prominent rebel leader. Said target had once been a stormtrooper captain who had defected to the Rebellion after killing every sentient on an Imperial space station, among them children and innocent personnel. The bounty had been considerable, two hundred and fifty thousand credits. Such a large bounty had, obviously, attracted Hunters like flies to a rotting bantha steak but they had failed. Sayahs source indicated that he was co-ordinating some especially vicious attacks in the northern hemisphere. He had flown his ship down and shown his clearance to the local base personnel.  He had gone to the bases mess hall, paying a small fee for the metal like rations, and had seen a familiar face, one he had seen millions of times before, both young and old. He approached the human and ,a few drinks later, uncovered that he was, as he had suspected a clone trooper of the Republic, specifically Epsilon DFG-12D4. The artificially aging clone had some impressive contacts, which later enabled Sayah to track down the rebels location, and many yarns of his service on a myriad of worlds, from his service on Felucia to the early Rebellion. From him, Sayah had learned of such tricks as a fake sling. However, he was to walk straight into a trap, and ended up spending a week in a bacta tank. He heard that the bounty was eventually taken by the infamous Boba Fett.
Turning his thoughts to the mission at hand, Sayah walked up to the others and saluted when Rogue called his name.. "Here and reporting for duty" Although they hadn't had the best of beginnings, Sayah still made it a point to show respect, both because of his competence and position. He walked into their apparently dilapidated transport and waited for the others.

Aphamos headed down the hallway toward his room, fumbling around with a set of key-cards until he found the one to his room.  He glanced at the clock on the wall and silently swore to himself.  Great timing man just hope they haven't left without you.  He shook his head and increased his pace from a walk to that of a light jog.  He finally reached his room as his grin changed to that of a shocked expression.

The card-reader attached to the door was broken and only a tangle of wires remained.  Someone had stripped the metal front off and hotwired it for entry.  Aphamos pushed the door open and entered the room, his countenance remaining in a shocked state.  His items littered the ground; drawers were opened and empty for their contents were scattered on the floor.  His closet was emptied as well, except for the silver case the lay at the bottom.  What the hell did I do now?

Aphamos walked over to the box entered the code to open it, revealing its contents.  His dual, slugthrower pistols, two silencers, and the parts of his sniper rifle were in the box, still in pristine condition.  He sighed, mildly relived by the fact that his equipment was still in place.  Five minutes had passed now, and their transport would be leaving in ten minutes to take them to Phu.  He quickly took off his uniform and placed it on the bed, picking up some random clothes to wear on the mission.

He had finished changing now and looked around at the room again.  Why can't they ask me before they do stuff like this?  They can at least coordinate their schedule with mine so that we both win.  He flashed a brief smile that was erased when his vision met his bed and the folded piece of paper that was resting on it.  Aphamos took the paper and stuffed it in his pocket before walking out of the room and sprinting down the hallway.  Alright, are we missing anything?  Got weapons, clothes, and ammunition in the duffle.  We're set for now.  The last part of his thought remained in his head and was repeated over and over again.

For now.  For now.

He raced down the stairs and through the next hallway, people staring at him oddly as he made his way through the building.  He leaped down another flight of stairs, almost breaking his ankle with the landing.  Finally reaching the first floor, he swiftly weaved through the oncoming men and women and exited the edifice.  Aphamos ran to the parking area and found his red and white swoop out of the crowd of black ones.  He pressed his thumb on the keypad as the engine roared to life and the trooper was off.

----------------

Aphamos ran into the Star Port, running past the bystanders and the stands that were set up.  On his way to the Star Port, he couldn't help but think of the folded piece of paper that he had found on his bed and placed in his pocket.  Dammit, just get to the ship, and then start thinking about other things.  He could finally see the ship that he needed to board.  A man was standing outside of the ship, ready to close the entrance once the last few people boarded the transport.

Aphamos was running as fast as he could now, a voice in the back of his head telling him that he wouldn't be late.  He reached the ship and entered, his heart pumping hard and his breathing rate at its peak.  Seeing Leon, he walked to the trooper and gave him a pat on the back.

Let's get out of here.

The ship was a new line the army invested in; when the STC found out that clean and pristine looking ships were under more scrutiny then rust buckets they decided to purchase a few dented and flawed ships to send out on undercover missions. The ships looked in poor condition on the outside but everything was in perfect working order. That was one thing Rogueboy always admired the STC for; their transports and other vehicles were always in spectacular condition.

Rogueboy's reverie was interrupted by Darr's steady, and firm voice. "Rogue, do the roll call while I check in with the pilot."

The Raider's ASL watched the retreating figure of Darr as he walked up the ramp in the direction of the cockpit. Because of the Thrawn movement there has been a serious drop in trust because of the numerous spies that have been caught within the VE's ranks, some of them in leading positions. Due to this pilot's are told to report at a certain hangar where they will meet up with a squad leader or higher position, then they will be told their destination. It was a foolproof plan of keeping secrets with as few people as possible until the last minute, hell Rogue even heard of a story of a squad only being briefed when taking fire from unknown enemies.

Rogue looked on his datapad to make sure that he would get all the troopers including the last minute transfers sometimes there are "secret" transfers; new recruits who they meet on the mission sent over by high command. The first time Rogueboy met one he looked for any kind of error on the recruit's credentials or letters of introduction so he may call him a spy and arrest him. "Private first class Sayah!"

"Here!" a youthful face emerged from the back row and headed onto the ship. Rogueboy did not really know all his squad mates on the level that he wanted to but sometimes that was the trooper's choice and Rogueboy would not impose unwanted attention on the trooper; that was Darr's job.

"Private first class LK-486!" The clone saluted before heading up the boarding ramp. Rogue perceived the clone as sticking very much to himself and would only get short answers to any questions asked if any at all. The medic also had his own sense of honour and would spend a lot of time talking with Aphamos.

"Sergeant Leon!" Leon gave a lazy salute before carrying his equipment on board the "Muhammad". Leon was without a doubt an interesting trooper and friend, he has seen many battles yet he still had an eager face in the calm before the storm the part most soldiers dreaded for fear of seeing their team mates breathing for the last time. Rogueboy found Leon's company enjoyable and would take a bolt for the younger more affable trooper.

"Sergeant Namyr!" The only female in the squad sauntered up to the ship, sticking her tongue out at Rogue as she did so. Rogueboy has feelings for Namyr even though he tried to stay aloof; the ASL had reasons to believe that Namyr had feelings for him as well but would never allow them to surface because of her natural untrusting nature and a conflict of interest should it come to Rogueboy's life or the completion of the mission.

"Senior Sergeant Squall!" The aforementioned trooper flung his cigarette on the floor and crunched it under his boot heel before boarding. Rogueboy has noticed an increased tension in the trooper's attitude most likely from stress created from his personal life.

"Sergeant Aphamos!" Rogueboy looked around and didn't see the trooper standing around.

"Darr we're missing a trooper." The ASL said as he began writing a message to the missing trooper warning him that if he is not at the star port in five minutes he will be calling the MPs.

Damnit where's Aph! Leon was beginning to get worried over the troopers absence. It was very unusual for him to be this late. Rogue had the same look on his face to.

"Rogue, where do you think Aphamos could be? Do you think something happened to him?" Leon asked.

"Nah, Aphamos is more then able to handle himself. He'll show up, don't worry about it," Rogue replied with uncertainty.

Leon looked towards the entrance of The Muhammad, hoping to see his friend walk through at any second. It wasn't happening. Leon begun to scan the ship, looking for any time telling device he could find. His eyes finally met a digital clock that was placed on the overhang of the entrance. It read 12:28:00 Galactic Time. The ship left in two minutes. Damnit Aphamos, hurry the hell up!

"He better hurry the hell up!" Rogue said, reading Leon's mind.

Leon turned his head back to where the clock was located. 12:29:30. He only had thirty seconds to board the ship. If Aphamos didn't make it, there was no telling what would happen to the faithful trooper. Leon doubted Darr would even think about demoting him, but if the Higher Ups found out, he'd be a goner. The HC didn't play games, they didn't have the time to. Any mistake that would put a mission in jeopardy, they'd make sure that who ever caused it would pay. Leon just hoped that person wouldn't be Aphamos.

He turned once again to the clock. 12:29:50.

Leon couldn't wait any longer. He walked towards the entrance, hoping he could maybe distract the guard so he could buy some time for his fellow trooper. Just as Leon was about to tap the man on the shoulder, Aphamos flew past, coming to a skidding halt. He handed the guard his boarding pass, and after sighting Leon, gave him a light pat on the back.

Leon replied with a sharp punch to the arm. "Why the hell were you so late?"

"I got caught up in some other things, and apparently someone broke into my quarters. The bastards turned the place inside out," Aphamos replied. He sighted Rogue who look just as relieved as Leon did. "Relax you guys, daddy made it, don't worry," finished Aphamos with a grin.

Aphamos took a seat next to Rogue, Leon taking one next to Aphamos. "Jeez you made it just in time you lucky bastard. What took you so long anyways?"

"I got caught up in some things... Well not exactly things. More like work. I think Rizzit really likes the idea of having an adjundant to do all his work. Oh and someone broke into my place, I'm pretty sure I have a good idea on who it was also," finished Aphamos, placing his hand on his pocket as if to make sure he didn't forget anything.

That suddenly made Leon suspicious. He knew there was more to Aphamos's story then what he was telling the two troopers. Leon eyed Aphamos's pocket, making out a square outline. He must have been carrying something important, but what could it be? A letter? Some kind of secret document? It could have been anything. And who was Rizzit? Leon decided to voice his question.

"Hey Aphamos, who's this Rizzit guy? I've never heard of him."Rogueboy leaned forward, a comical look of shock on his face. Leon looked to Aphamos who had the same exact look. "What? Why are you guys looking at me like that?"

"He's our Platoon Commander Leon. Haven't you met him?" Rogue answered.

"Nope. Never even heard of him," replied Leon casually.

"Well, you'll probably get the chance to soon enough. He's a pretty cool guy," Aphamos said coolly.

Leon decided to change the subject. "So, what do you guys think of this mission? You think its going to be as difficult as they made it seem?"

"Difficult? There overreacting, its going to be a peace of cake," Rogue said with a cocky cheek to cheek grin.

Yea, a peace of cake...

The pilot punched in the launch sequence and the spaceship took levitated and headed towards the open hangar doors.

"Uh! I hate space travel after I just ate." Rogueboy announced when his stomach began making funny noises.

"Why do you always eat before load out then?" Squall asked sounding unsympathetic to Rogue's plight.

"Because it's just so damned convenient?" Rogue asked rhetorically.

There was a bathroom on the ship but like all bathrooms that were not home it would feel a bit weird, but weirdness was definitely preferable to brown pants. Rogueboy un-strapped himself from his seat and headed into the bathroom.

A couple of minutes later and Rogueboy emerged. "Do not go in there!" The trooper announced almost jokingly.

"Very pleasant Rogue is that how you pick up girls?" Namyr said while sneering at Rogueboy.

"Sometimes, but only when they're in the mood to hear about my bowel movements and other such extraordinary adventures." Rogue said with a spreading grin.

Rogueboy was wearing a tight white shirt, matching baggy pants, and a pair of white leather boots. The clothes were common to farmers from arid planets as it would keep the heat exposure to a minimum yet still keep the wearer warm should freak storms pass by.

"We will be entering hyper speed now and our estimated time of arrival is twenty minutes, so sit tight and grab a bottle of water and we will be there before you can finish it&" The pilot said as Rogueboy interrupted him.

"I already finished my bottle of water." Rogue said in a mock sad voice as he held up the empty bottle for the squad to see.

"Well then, we will arrive there soon and you better like the answer." The pilot said in an angry voice.

"Uh&Rogue I think you should apologize to our pilot over there." Darr said with a nod of his head at the cockpit.

"Nah, I'll thank him if he gets our asses there in good time and out of there in one piece." Rogueboy said.

Leon stared out one of the portholes, the city of Tadath quickly fading away as the transport brought them closer to space. A veil of clouds soon blocked his view of the huge city that was home to the Vast Imperial Army. Seconds later, they were in Tadaths orbit, surrounded by the never ending blackness of space. Leon's jaw dropped at the breath taking sight. It wasn't exactly the sight of space that amazed Leon, but the size.

Leon tore his eyes away from the magnificent sight, fearing he would become lost in the deep dark depths of space. He needed a drink. "Hey Aphamos, you wanna go to the Cantina?"

Aphamos who was also looking out one of the portholes turned to face Leon. "Yea sure, I was just about to ask you the same thing. It might be our last," finished Aphamos jokingly.

"Should we take Rogue with us?"

"Nah, lets leave him here with Namyr, I bet they'll get along just fine," Aphamos said while nudging Leon playfully with his elbow.

The two troopers walked out of there passenger hold, leaving the rest of the Raiders behind. The trip to Phu wouldn't be that long, at most it would take two hours. Once they made it planet side, the mission would begin.

"Hey Leon, I haven't really seen much of you for a good two weeks. Whats up with all the training?" Aphamos asked.

The question came out of no where, but Leon was glad he asked. "I want to stay in shape. Not only that, there's not much to do around the barracks, and no ones ever around."

The duo made a left, following a sign that had been placed on the ceiling above them.

"Heh, tell me about it. Rizzits got me loaded with work. And when I don't have work to do, he just gives me more."

Leon chuckled at the comment. "I feel for you Aph, I really do. But hey, your new job also has its good qualities. Your the first one to know whats going on, you're his right hand man."Aphamos grunted in agreement, pointing up ahead at one of the many but familiar Cantinas. "You know what always amazes me? The fact that every single one of these Cantinas look exactly the same... Its scary."

As Leon set foot in the Cantina, the familiar scents and sounds greeted him. As usual, the lights were dimmed, but bright enough so that you could see where you were going. Tables that could seat up to four were scattered about, some of them filled with occupants. On the far wall of the Cantina, booths with purple upholstery could be seen, a slight shine coming off the material.

Leon and Aphamos strolled up to the bar, taking a seat near the entrance. "Man, I haven't drunk any kind of alcoholic substance in the longest time... I figured I could let one slip by," Leon said to Aphamos with a sly grin.

"One? I'm taking two," replied Aphamos.

Leon thought about it for a second, and then said. "Fine, I'll take two also. Its not gonna hurt that much anyways..."

The two of them started chatting away happily after receiving there drinks, letting out the tension that they had stored inside of themselves for so long.

The vessels repulsorlifts whined as it executed a perfect one hundred and eighty degree turn and glided smmothly out of the hanger bay.
Seated and holding onto his baggage as well as he could using his right arm, Sayah was impressed.
The techs had outdone themselves with this one; under the dilapidated and rusting skin which made the ship seem almost unspaceworthy was a state of the art, almost perfect vessel with impressive parameters.
The ASL and Leon had been worried over the absence of one of the more prominent troopers, Aphalmos, but he had turned up at the last minute, explaining that there had been a break-in.

Something just didn't seem right to Sayah ,though. He kept his thoughts to himself as accusing a superior officer of a fault, especially without evidence, was foolish at best and career suicide at worst.
Besides, it could hardly have any relevance to the mission at hand.

The main engines flared, and the transport quicly left the planet Tadath behind, a brown speck in the tapestry of stars that made up space.

There was a whine from the engine area, and the tapestrys points elongated into white streaks as the ship made the jump to lightspeed.
"Hyperdrive activated. Arrival in twenty minutes" the pilot said, with his voice betraying all the enthusiasm of a battle droid.

Sayah decided to use the time to improve his sling, as a few of the strips had come loose, showing something that definitely wasn't bacta.

As he worked, he whistled a tune he had learned on the remote planet of Seranod IV.

There, the main product were the natural crystals that grew in mineral rich caverns deep underground and projected above the surface, giving the planet the appearance of a massive jewel from space.
The planet had been a battleground towards the end of the Clone Wars, and remains of trooper armour and droids could still be found without much effort.

It was peaceful by the time Sayah had visited and it was one of the few places he had been to where he could truly relax.

Standing up, Sayah decided to join a few of the other troopers in the Cantina.
He was not a drinker, especially before a mission, but decided to settle for a fruit nectar or simply reverse osmosized water, if any was available.

"Alright we will be staying at a hotel called the "Rusty's Temple." We will be sharing rooms." Darr said as he began listing out roommates. "Aphamos will be sharing a room with Leon, Squall with Sayah, LK-486 with Namyr, and Rogueboy with me."

"I'll inform Aphamos and Leon, Chief." Rogue said to relieve Darr of having to track down the missing squad members.

To decrease the chance of being captured the STC "rented" the shuttle out as a civilian transport this way whoever scanned the ship would have a harder time discerning true civilians to clothed soldiers should a leak exist.

"Rogue why did you wear a shirt that shows your wearing armour underneath it?" Squall asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Because it goes good with my alibi." Rogue responded as he stifled a yawn.

"That alibi being&?" LK-486 responded for Squall.

"That there is a price on my head, therefore if they want to take away my armour which is absolutely not a threat then they would be putting me at risk." The ASL said as he stretched out.

"We are exiting hyper speed and will be boarded by a Phu immigration vessel, have all your identification cards ready." The pilot said as the ship slowed down and blackness filled the view ports once again.

There was the sound of a metal grinding on metal and a door opened that normally would have led to space but a ship had boarded the vessel. A squad of Phu immigration walked in and began checking Ids, one of them came up to Rogueboy and asked him for his credentials.

Rogueboy pulled out his ID that was created by the VEI (Vast Empire Intelligence) the ID had a picture of Rogue and a fake name; today Rogue was called Jimbo Tri'achial. The Raider's ASL felt sorry for anyone who actually had that name, it was just embarrassing.

"Jimbo Tri'achial, what is that some kind of fish?" The security officer said as he put the card number through his datapad to scan for any warrants or anything that might consider Rogue dangerous.

"Jimbo" glared at the officer and spoke rapidly. "It was my father's name, and he has just recently died I hope you will show some respect to the dead."

The officer was thoroughly embarrassed and quickly gave Rogue back his ID without properly scanning it and moved on to the next passenger.

There was a jolt and the drink flew out of Sayahs hand, flying across the chamber and shattering against the wall, leaving its contents to drip down the wall.

With exquisite timing, the pilot shouted "Emerging from hyperspace."

Embarrassed, Sayah shouted back "Thank you Captain Obvious! Why couldn't you have given that information five minutes earlier, laserbrain?"

"Because I was too busy trying not to attract attention or get us shot down!" the pilot shouted back, leaving Sayah to mutter something about cocky pilots and vacuum without a spacesuit before sweeping up the pieces of the glass and return to his seat.

He checked that his sling was in place, taking especial care to ensure that certain objects within were not visible, and slouched slightly, trying to look as relaxed as possible. Docking noises were coming from the blast doors.

The doorseal hissed and a local official walked in, arrogance written over every line of his flabby, smug looking face. He obviously didn't think much of this band of bums trying to get to their next job on a shoestring budget.

Sayah resisted the temptation to calculate just how long it would take for him to snuff out the mans life, although a conservative estimate was 2 seconds.

He started with their Assistant SL, laughing at the ridiculous pseudonym Rogueboy had been given.

Sayah felt a flash of annoyance at this overconfident bureaucrat who obviously was as competent as a drunken Gungan, and was pleasantly surprised to see his stutter an apology to the scruffy looking, disguised ASL. Sayahs respect for the Senior Sergeant rose several notches higher.

Without a backwards glance, Rogueboy walked out. The officer then moved onto Sayah.

"Name?"

"Vlad Doyieler"

One of the other officers barely stifled his laughter, but became completely silent when he saw the look on Sayahs face.

"...Identity card please."

With a look of disdain Sayah tossed the card, forged by the Vast Empire, at the bureaucrat, who had to duck to catch it.
"Incidentally, how did you injure your arm?" That question came from one of the other officers.

Luckily, Sayah had prepared a plausible reason.

"Attacked by a street gang on Ragnos Three. I'm taking bacta treatment."

The scanner beeped, indicating the card had passed the inspection, and Sayah held out his hand for the card. With it once again in his possession, Sayah followed Rogueboys off the shuttle and walked to the hovel "Rusty's Temple" that was to be their overnight dwelling place.

Namyr brought up a hand and easily blocked her sparring partner's hand as it came down to place a blow to her neck. She easily took his hand under her own arm and twisted around, threatening to break the man's arm before the sparring couch had to stop her.

'That's enough Namyr," he told her and the Twi'lek let go of the man's arm.

"Work on covering yourself when you attack, or you'll end up dead," she sneered slightly before turning away and heading to the showers. She reappeared a few minutes later wearing a black tank top and a pair of tan pants. Stomach rumbling she headed for the mess hall. She halved hoped that some of the other Raiders would be there, she forced the thought of hoping that Rogueboy would be there as well. For months now she had forced herself not to think of him that way, the way that her mind seemed to twinkle and brighten as she thought of him. She knew she was being foolish and forced herself to keep her distance from Rogueboy, reminding herself that he was only a drinking friend and of course ASL.

Her stomach grumbled as she entered the mess hall, grabbing a tray she went through the line, before realizing that even her Twi'lek stomach wouldn't be able to process the greenish goop they had piled on her tray. Grabbing a water she looked around the busy mess hall, not a spare seat in the entire place. No matter she could skip a meal, particularly one of mess hall food. Namyr dumped her tray and glanced around the mess hall again before seeing the familiar face of Rogueboy and the back of Aph. She smirked and headed over to them, pushing her way through the people around her.

"Welcome to the brotherhood, usually in scenarios like this we drink, pick up some tavern wench, and wake up saying what the hell did I do last night. Unfortunately the only tavern wench we are going to see for the next couple of days is Namyr, and boy oh boy she would kick me so hard if she heard me say that," oh yes she would kick him later, though she frowned slightly, lately she had been a little sneakier with her revenge, like Tabasco sauce in Rogueboy's milk, he could have given her a little more credit then just plain kicking.

"You know I never asked you what was going on between you and Namyr." Aphamos said rather shyly.

"Well you won't find out today that's for sure." Rogue said staring straight ahead.

Aph pushed the issue a little. "Why is that?"

"Because I'm right here," Namyr said sliding up beside Aph and grinning as the other Raider jumped in surprise.

'Hey Nammy!" Aph said looking around nervously, probably looking for a place to run and hide.

"So what have you been up to, good looking?" Rogueboy said his voice dripping with sarcasm. Namyr let her face relax so he couldn't read her expression. That's right they had fought again last night when they had been out drinking, what happened was a little blurry to Namyr something to do with her dancing with another guy, but that was all she could recall.

"I just killed three people," she replied in a cold tone. "I crept up behind the first one with a knife and slit his throat; I snapped the second one's neck from behind him, approaching him the same way I did the first. The last one was my favorite by far: I sedated him and then ripped out his spine." She said coolly looking at her nails and glancing up to see Rogueboy surprised almost fearful look. Yes she enjoyed scaring him like this, everytime she felt as if he had forgotten though a woman she was still a Raider and still trained to kill at will. Namyr continued to look at Rogueboy as Aph spoke again, her eyes softened slightly before she began walking beside Aph, looking straight ahead. That is until she slipped her hand into Aph and grinned at him. She enjoyed Aph's company, beside Rogue he was one of her closer friends in the squad, then again he seemed to know when she was joking or being serious a talent that Rogueboy had yet to figure out. then again what did he know about reading women anyway? Namyr sat down on the nearest love seat and began to look at her nails, ignoring Rogue as he blew bubbled with his spit a few feet away.

Namyr's mouth turned into a thin line as everyone began talking about their families that they had visited on leave. She didn't have anything to add to the conversation most of her leave she had spent drunk trying to keep the lonely hole inside her at bay. At least now with a mission she could ignore the hole, keep herself busy was the only way she could keep it away. As Darr came late for the briefing Namyr relaxed against the back of the love seat and glanced around the room, suddenly feeling distance between her and the rest of the Raiders. Wasn't that how it was though? From the beginning she had always been different from the rest of the squad, she had grown use to it, but now as she looked around she could feel it even more. It didn't really matter she would take a blaster shot for anyone on the squad and they would do the same, they were her family, well the only family she could trust.

Namyr left the room, her face emotionless as she left and headed back to her apartment. Going through her clothing she quickly packed and pulled on some clothing that was more like her Twi'lek appearance then the usual tank tops and pants. If she didn't fit the part of her race people would get suspicious, better to show a little skin then to have their cover blown. Checking her watch Namyr headed for the bathroom, only to find the toilet seat up. She rolled her eyes and tapped it down with her foot before using it herself and then leaving her apartment. Of course she's have to give Rogueboy shit about his manly tendencies, just as he would to her in other instances.

It didn't take her long to get back to the base and find Rogueboy and Leon leaving the armoury, 'Hello boys," she said keeping her voice low. She had decided at the last minute to keep on her white tank top and black pants until they got onto the ship, then she could change into the few items of Twi'lek clothing she had.

"Hey Namyr, what's up?" Rogueboy said already she could tell that he knew that tone she was using. He really did know her too well at times, she had to give him credit for readying himself for whatever else she was going to say.

"Let me guess my foot up your ass."

"What did I do now, Nams?"

"When you stay at my apartment, and you decide to use the toilet put the damn seat down! Are you trying to kill me? I almost fell through," Namyr chuckled inwardly as Rogueboy struggled to think of an excuse but coming up with nothing.

As she walked away she could hear Rogueboy murmuring something and decided to let it go. she didn't want to be too mean to him, well in truth she didn't want to be mean to him at all. It was just so fustrating wanting to get close to him only to force herself to say something cruel to keep the two of them at a distance. things were better this way, at least for the moment.

She felt herself grow serious as she headed towards the ship. Namyr couldn't help it from the wandering eyes over her body, to the fact that they were going on a mission already her mind was getting set to do whatever possible to make sure the mission would be a success. If her mind faltered out of this state in battle and someone could die. Namyr shuttered slightly, no she wouldn't let anyone on the squad die, she would rather die herself before that happened. She ignored Leon as he bumped his hips against hers, he would understand, out of everyone he would understand if she ignored him.

Leon bumped into her again, this time Namyr gave him a sharp angry look. She looked at him for a few minutes suddenly realizing that he had gained a lot of muscle, why hadn't she noticed? Didn't most of the guys in the squad take off their shirts anyway when they were training. Namyr's gaze drifted over to the ASL, yeah that was probably why she hadn't noticed. She shook her head as they boarded the ship and she frowned even more as the security guard wished them a good trip. She lazily looked up at Rogueboy as he called out roll as they got into her seat. She quickly clicked her seat belt together, her shaking hand betraying her hands a remind her of her fear of space travel. After the turbulence had faded Namyr let out a sigh and relaxed against the back of her seat. Rogueboy had once again eaten before take off, as usual she fought a little with him before closing her eyes. When she opened them again everyone but Darr had left the cabin. She was quickly brief on the roommate situation before Namyr got up and ducked into the women's bathroom. She came out later her clothes changed into her civilian clothing.

Namyr licked her deep red lips and smirked to herself, she looked comfortable in her traditional Twi'lek clothing. She wore only a yellow strip of fabric that stretched tightly over her shoulder and around her chest. Her skirt was made from the same material and was the same color and following Twi'lek dress code it was tight as well, but somehow even with so much of her red skin showing Namyr gave off an aura of casual danger. She wore light sandals, her Lekku were freely tossed over her shoulders, light yellow ribbons wrapped around them contrasting against her skin, and where she kept a blaster was to be left up to the imagination. She walked past Darr and smirked before heading for the Cantina. Once again she ignored the stared of the other passengers as she walked down the hall. She laughed inwardly as she came up on Rogueboy talking with one of the guards. Once the guard passed Namyr walked up behind Rogueboy and leaned forward to whisper into his ear.

"Darling, how you threw off that guard was absolutely amazing," she joked before the guard held out his hand for her ID.

"Name?" the guard asked his eyes wandering from the ID and over Namyr's body.

"Emilianna Yurgtha," Namyr said batting her long eyelashes, the guard looked mesmerized as he handed the ID back to Namyr and moved on, 'So Jimbo, heading to the Canting as well, do you mind escorting a fair, defenseless lady there as well. You never know what ruffians might be lurking in these halls," she said before chuckling, Namyr's light yellow eyes sparkled a little before the guards were far enough away that they couldn't hear her.

Namyr then noticed that Rogueboy's eyes were practically popping out of his head, she rolled her eyes, 'Please Rogue, it's just clothes. Now come on let's find the others," Namyr said linking arms with Rogueboy.

Rogueboy stepped outside with his arm linked around Namyr's, a feeling of exhiliration encompassed him yet at the same time unnerved him. While Rogueboy would take a bolt for any of his troopers, Rogue mentally amended that with some grim satisfaction; take a bolt for any of his troopers unless he was firing the bolt.

Sometimes the wisest choice was to keep your distance if it became between saving Namyr's life or completing a mission Rogue did not know what he would pick. That very thought disturbed him to his deepest core for to die for glory seemed honourable, to complete a mission seemed historical, to save a girl and fail a mission seemed weak. Some might call it noble but Rogue would call it foolish, sometimes the ASL would feel less human when he was in this type of reflection always thinking with what is logical and throwing all human values to the wind.

The sky was cloudy when he stepped out of the shuttle and Rogue sighed. "What's wrong?" Namyr asked sweetly enough.

"The choices that we might never have to make, yet we constantly worry about." Rogueboy said with a tone of sadness.

"Care to elaborate?" Namyr prodded on digging deeper.

"I think I'll leave you to your imagination." Rogue said with a mellow grin appearing on his features.

"You're such a bastard." Namyr said playfully. "We should go to Rusty's Temple and meet up with the squad to&pray."

"I have a feeling that Rusty's is going to be some hole in the wall place." Rogue said as he escorted Namyr towards the direction that Darr told him.

Ten minutes later.

"Rogue are you sure you know where you're going?" Nam's tone depicted impatience. "I'm hungry enough to eat&you."

"Sounds kind of kinky Nams, have me with a glass of Correlian whiskey and a side order of extra me?" Rogue responded playfully as he tried to readjust his current position from what Darr had told him.

"Is your mind ever out of the gutter?" The red Twi'lek asked rhetorically. "We're lost aren't we?"

"Just a little bit, but I think if we head north-west of our position we could hit the place." Rogue said as he mentally concentrated trying to recall a map of the area that he had seen but was too absentminded to load onto his datapad.

"Why don't we just ask a local?" Namyr asked while adjusting her lekku to a more comfortable position.

"Asking questions brings undue attention which may put our lives at risk." Rogue responded firmly attempting to banish such thoughts from either of their minds.

"I disagree if you're playing the role of tourist it would be kind of suspicious if you where everything was as opposed to asking questions." Namyr said mentally putting herself as an enemy and looking at the Raiders.

"That's a very good point Namyr, I think you should be the one to ask this way we can play the stereotypical role of a couple getting lost and the wife and or girlfriend asking for directions." Rogue said almost gleefully.

Namyr laughed. "You wish you could be my boyfriend but if we must play the roles we must."

The duo approached a nearby pedestrian. "Excuse me, do you know where we can find Rusty's Temple?" Namyr asked the woman.

"Yes, if you head on Grant Boulevard west you should hit a street got Hyuk Avenue make a left and walk two blocks down." The woman said as she quickly made herself scarce.

"Wasn't so hard was it?" Namyr asked innocently.

Rogue put on a lover's tone of voice. "No it wasn't dear but that's because we asked the right person." The ASL gave Namyr a hug even though for reasons unknown to him it felt necessary.

OOC: Post is relevant before landing (the beginning portion).

Aphamos sipped his Corellian Ale and placed his mug down onto the table, continuing his conversation with the stormtrooper next to him. "The workout is doing its job for you, but don't go too far with it," said Aphamos while the subject was still being discussed. "And don't go picking any fights," he added in a sarcastic tone. The thing Aphamos had observed about Leon and one of the things he admired the most about his friend was the passion that he put into whatever he was doing, and the ferocity which characterized his actions.

"It's okay man, I'll take it easy," said Leon, taking a sip of his drink. "There is about two more weeks left in my program and then I'll take a little break. I was thinking of going on vacation somewhere-do you know any good places?"

Aphamos pondered on the question for a moment, realizing that he hadn't been on a real vacation since he had joined the army. Whenever he had a break after a big mission, he usually spent it with Rachel or in different simulations of various battlefield scenarios. "To tell you the truth, I have no idea," he answered in a frank tenor. "Ask Rogue though, he probably knows exactly where to go." The duo shared a quick laugh together before they were cut off by a voice resonating from the intercom of the ship.

"We are exiting hyper speed and will be boarded by a Phu immigration vessel," said the man. "Have all your identification cards ready." Aphamos and Leon looked at one another, the same thought in both of their heads.

Oh crap.

Instinctively, they both rose and rushed out of the cantina, Aphamos leaving a pile of credits on the table before they exited. The stormtroopers headed down the small corridor and entered a private room where the rest of the Raiders were sitting. A guard was in a talk with Rogueboy now, apparently over his pseudonym: Jimbo Tri'achial. How creative. As Aphamos sat down in one of the empty seats, he noticed how obscure Rogue's attire was. Probably has a creative alibi to go with it.

As he was looking at his friend's clothing, he couldn't help but scrutinize what he was wearing. He didn't have time to think about what to wear, so this time he had gone with more clothing compared to his usual shirt and pants. He had dressed nicely, surprisingly, and his clothing separated him from the rest of his squad; he had on a top hat, a two-piece suit with a red, button-down shirt with a collar, trousers, and formal shoes. Aphamos was also carrying a cane that he had pulled out of his collection, just so he could top everything off.

The guard made his way to Aphamos and asked for his identification. The adjutant reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a card that had all his information on it.

"Jackson A. Rag," said the guard. The man read a few other bits of information on his card, making sure that it was authentic in terms of his standards. "Finally, a normal name," he added, muttering this under his breath to make sure that Rogueboy didn't hear anything. The guard thanked Aphamos, the stormtrooper nodding at the man as he exited.

------Upon Exiting the Ship------

The Raiders gathered together for a quick moment to discuss where they were going to go. Namyr and Rogue had already decided to split up with everyone else; Rayden, Darr-Rann, and Sayah would be traveling alone.

"Alright, we meet at the lodging in two hours," said Darr-Rann. "Don't be drunk or high, and don't get in any trouble. Act like usual, but disciplined. See you all later."

They split up into their separate groups and headed in different directions, Leon, LK, and Aphamos walking with one another down the empty street. Aphamos was heading with a destination in mind, the other men walking behind him. "Where are you going, Aph?" asked Leon.

"I've been here before," said Aphamos. "I'm trying to find a place."

The stench rising from the overflowing gutter was unbearable, and the slopping noise was even worse.

Sayah held his nose in disgust and, not noticing where he was stepping, heard a loud splattering noise.

Looking down, he noticed his grey boots, which he usually reserved for combat missions, were covered with what looked like raw sewage mixed with the olive green-light brown local mud.
The boots were almost invisible under the foul muck. Cursing in eight consecutive alien languages, he hastily stepped out of the oozing puddle, scrapping the ooze off onto the damaged permacrete.

A reddish-pink thread, however, refused to let go, despite Sayahs increasingly desperate efforts to shake it off. Eventually, he even grew desperate enough to consider blasting the streak off. Perhaps realising the precariousness of its current location, it just flew off on its own into another rancid puddle, leaving Sayah to mutter and walk quickly along.

He came to a booth with a holosign bearing the legend "Information Broker". He had come across such arrangement before, especially on the Smugglers Moon, and was careful to keep his hand on the small credit chip, even when the booth seemed abandonned.
He pressed a small button built into the desk, and a Deveronian seemingly popped out of thin air.
He had a cadeverous look, and wore an earing in his left ear.
He looked at Sayah for a moment, then spoke.

"What do you wish to know, Gentlebeing?"

"Two things. First, the location of a building or place called Rusty's Temple."

"And the second?"

"The nearest bar with drinks that don't taste like bantha urine."

The Deveronian smiled and handed Sayah a flimsy, with a blinking dot signifying the location of the hovel.

"That was the first; the second is nonexistent in this part of town."
Satisfied, Sayah let the Deveronian take the credit.

The elderly alien grinned and retreated back into the shadowy area in the back of the booth.

Turning around, Sayah followed the instructions, which told him to go left at Onde Street and through an alleyway to the hovel.

Sayah strode through narrowing streets, keeping a wary eye on any sapient who might have inclinations to rob or assault him, as it could and probably would blow his cover.

Namyr's body tensed up as Rogueboy wrapped his arms around her waist and hugged her.  Her tongue instantly picked up the cinnomam taste that she usaully detected when her and Rogueboy were this close, though she never knew which one of them let off this emotion.  She held her arms out for a moment, her thoughts flooding her mind freezing her inbetween three actions, one was shoving Rogueboy away from her, she had no idea who was watching them, second was taking the blaster out of the purse she had on her shoulder and shooting, and third was actually hugging him back.  She couldn't stop herself from picking the latter, her arms slowly wrapped around his chest and she rested her cheek against his neck.  Instantly, her body relaxed against Rogue's and for the first time in a long time she felt an odd sense of peace and calm.  She let out a content sigh, breathing in whatever cologne Rogueboy was wearing, mostly likely it was whatever one he found on sale at the army store, but it smelt good so Namyr took another breath, letting her nose nestle into the nape of his nack.

Namyr then spoke in her native tongue, her voice was a rare soft, quiet tone that she rarely used, "Why do we keep doing this to each other?  The constant distance we put between one another to keep ourselves in line, to protect the squad, to continue living the life we've both worked so hard to get?  How long before we hurt each other so much that we part ways?" she murmured resting her forehead on Rogueboy's shoulder, 'Then again how much longer do either of us have.  everytime there is a mission one of us is usually injured, how long until our luck runs out?  And will the end of our luck be because of each other?"

"Excuse me," someone said and pushed past Rogueboy and Namyr.

Namyr shook her head and let go of Rogueboy and pushed him away for a moment she looked at him with a hurt, sad look on her face.  She studied his confused face, she was glad that she hadn't taught him too much of Twi'leki and he didn't understand half of what she said, or maybe he didn't and he didn't understand the meaning, Namyr could never be sure with him. before she ran a hand down her face and managed to smile, 'If I recall we're on our way to some place," she said taking Rogueboy's arm as they started walking again.  Both of them were oddly silent as they walked.  Namyr bit her lip and let go of Rogueboy's arm and crossed her arms.

"Hey Rogue," Namyr said looking at him with steady yellow eyes, all sweetness and softness was gone from her eyes, "Let's agree now that if something comes up in a mission, let's try not to play hero to one another okay?  We're both a little jaded to play knights and dragons."

"Whatcha mean Nams," Rogueboy asking raising one of his eyebrows as he looked at the woman walking beside him.

"Don't play dumb Alex," Namyr said using Rogueboy's real name to let her know that she was serious, "Obviously, there are...um...well I like...no that's not right...listen let's not be stupid, we're both soliders and the mission is the most important thing in either of our lives.  Anyway, let's get going before it starts raining, I know from experience that this cloth becomes see through once it gets wet."

"See through you say?" Rogueboy chuckled grabbing Namyr's wrist and pulling her back, "Why don't we wanted around a little more if that's the case."

"Rogue you ass, come on I need a drink anyway," Namyr replied pulling her hand away and rubbing her wrist.  He hadn't hurt he but warmth lingered in her hand, she quickly shook it off and smirked, "Either way I think see through clothing would be too distracting for a mission, no matter how badly you want to see it."

"Aw Nams you never let me have any fun," Rogueboy pouted slightly before giving her a roguish grin and following after her.  She pursed her lips and turned and walked backwards to look at Rogue as he caught up.  A few sprinkles landed on her bare shoulder, 'Come on Rogue!"  Namyr said forgetting about waiting for him and took off down the street in a lazy jog until they came to a small hotel, though it wasn't as bad as Namyr imagined it was still pretty low key and cheap.

'You have to admire how much the empire enjoys making their troops comfortable," Rogueboy mentioned pulling on a leaf of a dusty plant that was in need of a good water and some sun.

"Shut your yap Rogue, we're undercover," Namyr murmured in his ear, an action that usually shut him up, well enough to keep him from blowing their cover.

"Yes mistress," Rogueboy said rolling his eyes, "Give me a heads up when you're going to be serious, it throws off my groove."

"Yes, gods forbid you get thrown off your groove.  What next you'll throw me out the window if I do throw off your groove?" Namyr asked batting her eyelashes.

"Hell no, you'd probably dodge it and end up throwing me out the window," Rogueboy said as the two of them checked in and got their room keys, "I know how you work Nams."

"Too true, but come on half the time you walk right into it," Namyr said looking at her key as they walked away from the counter.

"What can I say, words come from your mouth but your body distracts me," Rogueboy shrugged, "which reminds me, any chance you could convince your roomate to switch with me?"

Namyr chuckled walking into the hotel's cantina, 'Hardly, I think Darr wants to seperate us as much as possible.  If you haven't noticed he gets all antsy in his pantsy when we talk to one another."

"Not cool, so you get LK and I get Darr," Rogueboy sighed as they sat down at the bar.

"It's just like school trips all over again, we're the bad misbehaving students and darr is the chaperone that's trying to keep us out of trouble.  Damn I guess that means we can't TP the hotel courtyard tonight," Namyr chuckled ordering a drink and some food.  Namyr raised an eyebrow at a nearby table where a couple of Twi'leks were sitting, three females one male.  The female's giggled and motioned for Namyr to come over at talk with him.  Namyr sat in her seat, oh yeah her race was a friendly on to one another, at least compared with her family anyone else was.

"Hey you know them?"  Rogueboy asked looking the female Twi'lek's up and down and grinning at them, making the females giggle and flutter their eyelashes at him.

'No, no one I know, from the looks of it they're from another clan then my own," Namyr said coldly but managing a smile as the three females and male came over and sat in the empty chairs around her and Rogue.  She ground her teeth together as one of the females and the male began speaking with Rogue.  She then let out a sigh and continued to pretend she was enjoying these stranger's company by speaking with the last two girls, mostly about the weather, styles, thing happening on Ryloth.  Trivial things that Namyr had to feint interest in.

With one arm Rogue held Namyr to him and with the other he stroked her back; he would have stroked her lekku but was afraid of hurting her and this was definitely not the moment to hurt someone. Namyr began whispering something; faintly at first and it took Rogueboy a few seconds to realize that she was speaking in Twi'lek. The soldier in disguise concentrated and tried to discern what was being said even though he could hardly complete a sentence in the language.

Namyr's tone was soothing like the music Rogue would listen to after a hard day when he wanted to relax, he felt comfortable in Nam's arms as if an impenetrable shield had surrounded the two and any projectile the world fired at them would only bounce off. Rogue had managed to pick out some of the wording mostly basic words that were taught to him to establish needs like. "I need food, where are we? And go eat bantha shit."

The soldier knew that if he would ask the question of what that meant it would kill the moment but if he did not know what the meaning in those words he could be dooming himself for failure. Rogue decided to ask her later at a better time, their embrace was cut short when a passerby interrupted by walking through with a polite. "Excuse me."

Rogueboy surveyed the area and came to two conclusions; one, the man could of easily walked around them and two, the streets were unnecessarily vacant. Rogue began feeling paranoid as he looked into dark corners and seeing invisible assassins where there were none. Namyr pressed her hand into Rogue's and all thoughts for the dangers they were involved in vanished and he felt safe again as they began walking to Rusty's with a comfortable silence.

Meanwhile&

Squall has just lit up a cigarette and was waiting inside Rusty's temple for most of the squad, only LK-486 and Darr had made it to the place immediately when they had all gotten separated because of those immigratious bastards. Squall took another drag on his cigarette before putting it out on the ashtray provided for him by the owner of the building; Rusty.

Squall had been very surprised to learn that Rusty is actually a droid who became "free" when his master had died and he had escaped. Rust had gathered a few credits and opened up this hotel/hostel/motel the droid didn't really know what to call it so had decided to call it a temple.

The droid was a intergalactic cyborg version unknown to Squall, hell if that was one thing Squall did not care to learn it was how to distinguish droids; unless of course its battle droids or interrogation droids. Never the less, Squall knew that Rusty had a trick up his sleeve or two for protection it was uncommon for a droid to be free let alone a droid to own a piece of property and generate a source of income.

Squall took out another cigarette and began to light it as Namyr and Rogueboy entered the building arm in arm. Squall raised an eyebrow at the duo. "Am I interrupting something?" Squall said with just a tad of amusement in his eyes.

"We just went out for a stroll you know breath of fresh air." Rogue said nervously.

"We got lost because of clod head over here." Namyr said affectionately. "Didn't put the map on his datapad and I trusted his memory."

"Now I don't know who is the bigger fool, your or Rogue." Squall said grinning.

"Hey Squall don't make me flog you for insubordination." Rogueboy joked.

Even though ASLs could "suggest" that certain troopers be flogged to the SL Rogue did not find that flogging a trooper will teach them a lesson. So Rogue did an exchange; sweat for blood for every time a trooper deserved to be flogged Rogueboy would make them run laps, do pushups, dig trenches or any other such physical activity until they vomited from exhaustion.

"I'm guessing the fool that's asking most of the questions he already knows the answers to," Namyr murmed darkly her smile vanishing as the Twi'leks quickly took off as they took in the mood of the group.  At least they were smart enough to leave, either that or they didn't want to get involved in a fight.  Namyr didn't care enough to ask, "Or even more the fool has enough brains to ask about a relationship that doesn't exist.  Is that the multi-million credits question in this group?" Namyr asked grinding her teeth, 'That's funny I thought we had more important thing to concentrate on then on the daily gossip," she growled suddenly feeling very defensive.  She barely knew this Squall fellow, let alone he was already making assuptions about her and Rogueboy.  One thing she couldn't stand was people she knew making comments about something they had no idea what is was, but almost perfect strangers bothered her more.

Namyr swept a lekku behind her shoulder and huffed into her drink.  Any other time she would have laughed off such foolishness but recently is seemed like everyone was poking their noses into her business, perhaps she should go out and find a human and date him a while.  But the mere thought made her cringe, her insides twisted into a painful knot, which she shrugged, "Nevermind, my apologizes for snapping, the ship ride has made me tired," she mumbled realizing she was being stupid she doubted that Squall cared that much who she hung out with on her spare time or what she did.  A plate of food was placed in front of her and Namyr began eating, her silence and posture signaling to the two Raider's members that she didn't feel like talking.  The food wasn't to good, Namyr was no cook herself, actually she had a couple of ruined pans back at her apartment she needed to scrub when she got home, but she could tell that she cook only had the basic knowledge of food preperation.  She quickly finished, "I'm going to take a nap, come wake me up when everyone else gets here.  No doubt they got caught up seeing the wonderful site seeing on this planet," she said and headed for her room.  Opening her door she threw her purse onto a nearby tabletop and fell onto one of the beds that was in the room.  Hugging her pillow close she fell into a light sleep.
