After falling in his home recently, Kurt Vonnegut, author of such books as Cat's Cradle and Slaughterhouse-Five, suffered brain injuries which he died of Wednesday, April 11th. -----------------------

Welcome to the Monkey House was also a pretty wicked collection of short stories.
It's kind of strange, because I heard once that he told an interviewer that he was "slowly committing suicide by cigarette" when asked what he had been up to. I guess he's finally where he wanted to be.

I am also displeased by the passing of Mr. Vonnegut.
He had many outstanding stories and novels.
I am also displeased by the fact that it happened on your B-Day Virius.
I only hope that you take this moment to further examine what he has accomplished in his lifetime. It is amazing. I promise.

I never met or heard of him, but like all writers, i'mm sure he was a good writer. And like all the other authors books I read. I will miss him.
If ever I come acroos one of his books I will read it with lots of attention like all the other books I have. I love reading, so even though I have never heard of him there is a loss in the writers' community. -----------------------
