Alright- hasn't been long since I've put one of these out, but the insane activity coming from a few of our members can not be ignored, nor their capabilities.  First off, both LCRW C-3PX2 and SCRW Tomas have been promoted a single position.  They are now SCRW and PO2 respectively; congratulations.  For those who are wondering why I would make such a move in such a short period of time, I need only to direct you toward the VEN wiki:

Both men have exhibited a degree of urgency that I appreciate, not to mention their consistent activity in their squadrons: a job well done.  There's still plenty to do on the Wiki, but we'll get to that later- for now: got a little more.

For the unbelievable workload that Tomas is currently tackling, I hereby reward him the Merit Cross 1st Class [MC1].  While it may seem lower than some, this reward is outstanding for a member who has only been here for a few weeks.  Lastly, per Jaden's request, Tomas has been made Flight Leader of Nazgul's Flight 3.  Congratulations

For their diligence in staying active and, in C-3PX's case, the quality of their work, I reward both SCRW C-3PX2 and SCRW Chak Fel with the Merit Cross 2nd Class [MC2].  Congratulations to both of you.

Hopefully this will serve as some kind of sign that consistent activity and following orders will earn you what you want in the first place: here's an opportunity to show that off.

Wikipedia Stories

Now, we've worked on profiles- that turned out far better than expected and now you've seen you can get something out of these pages.  With the template our good man Tomas has provided, we've made it possible to systematically fill in the blanks, creating briefs on all the stories and creating an actual record of the VEN's history.  Thas a bit nuts to overtake, I realize, but if everyone gets involved, it will make it a whole heck of a lot easier on the people who were going to do it in the first place.  So! 

I hate to have to seem like awards are candy, but!  I'd like to launch a competition to get this completed as quickly as we can: no need to dilly dally around with this. 

For the person that puts in the most information on these stories, they will receive the Victory Cross [VC] and have their trim upgraded if they've already received it.  This is not to be taken lightly because the Victory Cross is ordinarily given for fiction creation- here I'm asking you to record and re-write that fiction so its easier to organize and understand in a time line.  I feel that constitutes as something that can be awarded with such a medal.  Furthermore, that person will receive fifty-thousand ICs and a slap on the back!  Alternative gift to the 50k may be discussed.

Second place will be rewarded with the Cross of Bravery [CBV].  If you've already received this reward, you'll simply add a notch to let us know how many.  That person will also receive fifty thousand ICs.

Third place, finally, will receive the Merit Cross 1st Class [MC1] and also receive fifty-thousand ICs.  Folks: that's plenty of cash to get yourself a decent fighter- if not for the honor, think of the money   IF someone appears truly outstanding- other options may be considered.  Those that participate honorably but do not make the following ranks in our contest may also be considered for rewards as well.

Rules

Since this is a competition, there are a few things we need to keep in mind.

1!- we can't be filling in total crap here.  We want pertinent information that is actually correct.  If you don't think you can handle a section like the 'brief'- don't do it.  If you think you can fill in something else though: go for it. 

2!- Record what you changed!  Let us know when and what you changed.  How can we prove you did it?  The wiki keeps a history of its own, so make sure you log in under your name or record your IP address when you edit the wiki. 

3!  Everyone will be able to participate here so its important we let that happen.  When someone edits a page and it looks decent: don't mess with it unless you feel something really needs to be changed- perhaps how something is worded or information is simply not accurate.  If the information is not accurate: report it. 

This contest will run until each of these stories is completed- you can report what you've done on this thread and this thread alone: let us know everything.  Thank you for your time

Well done, Art- that's a little more straightforward than I expected, but good.  For some of these longer stories, we're going to need some sentences, possibly a paragraph or two, to summarize whats going on.  We don't need to be totally specific, but an event to event would be nice: is that not totally specific?  I dunno anymore.  Keep up the good work folks.

It's fine, Art.  I was more or less suggesting that future stories with more intricacy be dealt their just treatment: 'they did this or that' may not be enough to piece together the actual story.  Here: fine- it was a simulator: makes sense.  And yes, part of making this a brief is making it concise, cutting out what is obviously extraneous and keeping what will probably pertain to other stories if not just making the story itself interesting.  Depending on the size of the story, the briefs will be given different point values.

Standard evaluation is based on how I feel the job was done: points are awarded in accordance to how much work was probably put into the job and how well it was done.  Arbitrary, but I feel the point totals will accurately depict who our true winner is.  For instance, the stories shadowed below reflect similar totals to those that you did: similar length and probably fairly close time ratios.  If anyone has a confrontation on how they were scored, please contact me and I'll do my best to treat your work fairly.
