Can we put pictures in our signatures, like this one that I made?
The one Iwant to put in is Star Wars related, but that was just an example.

I dunno if that'd be a good decision. Some of the members are still on dialup, and I've seen some of those sig's that are just ugly. -----------------------

We dont allow images in the signature. In fact, I dont even think youre able to put in the <.img> tags in the signature box.
And yes, some people are still on dialup, so the images are not permitted. I had a hard enough time trying to get the avatars allowed. :P

Raden I like that Sig pic though, nice. Don't know if oyu made it or not , but it's pretty spiffy.
And Cos, I have Dialup and it's not problem for me, they load slowly but they load quicker than most dialup. The pic he had there loaded as soon as I entered this section. -----------------------

Heh, I still have bad memories of trying to use dial-up, and annoying people would post about a million of the moving smiley's for no reason what so ever... -----------------------

The avatars, now, load up quickly because they are in your system's cache. The first image he posted was around 13 KB, which small so it loads quickly.
However, that's just one picture. Imagine every single member (or most members because it'd probably end up being the hype) having signature pics all at the size of 13 kb and higher. The load time for each page on comnet would greatly decrease.
Eventually, your machine would catch up because the images would be in your system's cache, but what if someone changes their signature pic? You need to do more loading time to put that into your cache.
Now look at the fact of new members coming in - some on dialup. If they just joined the Vast Empire, I think it'd be a horrible impression upon them if every single page of the ComNet loaded slowly because of all of the images. -----------------------
