The first two NR security soldiers went down after Darius' first shot.  That large shot inside each shell spread wide since Darius had removed the guns choke, filling the hall and opened door with a deadly salvo of deadly flak.  Darius fired once more, severely injuring another security officer, though none had been killed by the blast.  Blood began to rush down the hall and the enemy was taking cover and trying to pull their screaming, dying comrades inside the confines of the captain's quarters and officer's mess.

"Stick to the plan!" Darius shouted, and pulled out a frag grenade and rolled it toward their enemy.

DJ did not hesitate and fired on the NR captain, the blue light of the stun blast reflected off the waxed deck plates of the corridor.  Darius began backpedalling and literally shoved his flight members inside the bridge.  The Nazgul flight leader punched the door lock as the NR soldiers gained their senses and retaliated.

The shot grazed Darius' right side at the exposed mesh of the armor.  Darius did not flinch, but smiled as the frag grenade exploded, shredding several of the NR soldiers to a pulp.

"Sir, you're shot," Hunter said, coming to Darius aid, looking for a first aid kit of the walls of the bridge.

"Hunter, get this hunk of rock moving, unlock the captains security measures, get the turbolasers back online, and I want some speed," Darius ordered, not wasting one second of their time.

"Sir, you've-" Hunter started.

"Did you not hear was I said?" Darius snapped, exploring his wound with curious fingers.  He investigated the blood on his hands and looked at his flight member. "You going to answer my question?"

"Yessir, right away," Hunter said, slightly embarrassed.  He sat down at the nearest console and let his hands to the magic, playing his fingers over the keyboard and accessing complicated programs all at once.

Darius pulled his helmet off and tucked it under his left arm and walked over to the captain's chair applying pressure to his wound at the same time.  He sat down and familiarized himself with the command chair, and began accessing data that Hunter had quickly unlocked.  The flight leader displayed the battle map on the holodisplayed table in the middle of the brige and took note on the changing position and number of ships remaning in the battle.

"DJ," Darius said, "I need the guns online, but not firing."

"Yessir," DJ said and jumped into another console.

"Hunter, place the pilots control into my chair."

"Yessir, engine are hot, and the control is yours.  May I ask what the plan of battle is?"

"Certainly...we can't leave," he said, changing the tactical map in the middle of the brige to an extenisive pressure sensor network in the hanger floor.  The distinct marks of the TIEs were surrounded by small foot prints, slowly pacing in anxiety, waiting for the enemy.  He returned the screen back to the tactical map, "we need to screen the Doashim.  I'm going to place this asteroid between that MC-40 and the our ship.  We should be able to either focus our guns on the ship or crash into it.  Consider this system VE space, because we're going to take this battle."

"Simple, yet effective," DJ added.  "How do we escape the firery crashing doom if our TIEs our guarded?"

Darius turned the chair to face DJ, a hint of a grin on his face.  He pushed a button on his chair and the holo in the middle of bridge changed once again.  Are you sure you want to deactivate the magcon field in the hanger bay? displayed the text.  Darius finger hovered over the confimation key.  "I could get use to this ship commanding business."

Looks like I'm almost there, better make sure everything's alright, Krius thought to himself as he ran the third systems check in a row. A series of beeps and flashing lights signaled to Krius that everything was good to go. But something inside of him kept biting at him, he new something was wrong, but just couldn't point it out. Or maybe its just me... A red light began to flash over head, signaling to Krius that he would soon be out of hyper space. Krius tried to smile, but it just wouldn't come. He thought he would have been happy to be back in the cockpit of a TIE, but he wasn't. It was this feeling inside of him that wouldn't stop, it was stressing him out, and stress wasn't the greatest thing to have before going into battle.

All Krius could do now was wait, and waiting was the worst part. Krius was eager to get into battle, he loved it. He loved the feeling of out maneuvering someone and then blowing them to bits. It was non-stop adrenaline pumping action. Krius loved adrenaline more then anything else, he felt different, like a different person. He was faster, stronger, and smarter. He felt like he could take on the universe.

Another red light flashed overhead, signaling that they were now exiting out of hyperspace. Krius watched as the white streaks of light that surrounded him shrunk into tiny little white specs, and the never ending void of space took its place around him. The space before him was littered with debris, and tiny explosions could be seen only a couple of miles away. Krius could feel it coming now, the adrenaline, the one thing he had been waiting for all this time, it was finally here. Now the smile came, Krius was back, and he was ready to roll.

Etan listened to the comlink chatter. He had re-entered the battle. He knew from previous briefings what was expected. It seemed as if Than was reorganizing an offensive against the Munin, where the Kaph squadron needed to be. Being a former pirate/smuggler, Etan ceased all further communications and made a beeline for the target area.

Passing numerous battle scenes, in which he could engage, Etan sped on towards the Munin. Tie fighters and Rebel forces alike exploded in furious combat all around him, however, The Munin was the ship to be taken and or taken out. It would turn the battle.

Within 100,000 kilometers of the Munin, Etan announced, " Kaph 5 this is Kaph 3, locked and loaded with missile lock on the Munin."

Than hesitated. wondering," Where the heck did he come from?" .Upon further inspection Than found Etan to be a missing part of the squadron and replied," Come on hotdog, I'll plow the way."

Than blasted an A-wing that got in the way, while Etan closely followed on his wing. Two x-wings came from the port side while Than turn towards them, quickly dispatching them. Etan thought to himself " I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to fly wingman to such an accomplished pilot/fighter?" Etan flew on towards the Munin.

Than, just as quickly as he dispatched the x-wings, was back on track and flying past Etan to lead the way. Etan continued to fly wing, holding steady with his missles locked.

Wingmen were meant to serve in several different capacities. This time it was as an assassin locked and loaded with missiles for delivery. And Than was the perfect delivery man.

He knocked out two gunnery positions that were firing on him and Etan before giving Etan the okay to unload his packages. In the final entry towards the Munin Than also locked two missiles and together with Etan fired away. Altogether, six misiles hit the side of the Munin.

Than and Etan pulled up hard. It was even harder to miss the impending explosions that followed. Their  tie-Fighters were shaking and pulling back hard away from the exploding ship. Etan trying to lighten the mood announces to Than," Kaph three to Kaph five, we have Kaph four on the way. Hellkite was slightly battered by a traitor. But, we can really rock this world when he gets here?"

Than and Etan flew on as the rocking and rolling of their tie- fighters continued from the shock waves of the explosions.

"The way of war is a way of deception. When able, feign inability; when deploying troops, appear not to be. When near, appear far; when far, appear near. Lure with bait; strike with chaos. If the enemy is full, be prepared. If strong, avoid him. If he is angry, disconcert him. If he is weak, stir him to pride. If he is relaxed, harry him; if his men are harmonious, split them. Attack where he is unprepared; appear where you are unexpected. This is victory in warfare; it cannot be divulged in advance. Victory belongs to the side that scores most in the temple calculations before battle. Most spells victory; least spells defeat; none, surer defeat. I see it in this way, and the outcome is apparent." -- Sun Tzu
