The first two NR security soldiers went down after Darius' first shot. That large shot inside each shell spread wide since Darius had removed the guns choke, filling the hall and opened door with a deadly salvo of deadly flak. Darius fired once more, severely injuring another security officer, though none had been killed by the blast. Blood began to rush down the hall and the enemy was taking cover and trying to pull their screaming, dying comrades inside the confines of the captain's quarters and officer's mess.
"Stick to the plan!" Darius shouted, and pulled out a frag grenade and rolled it toward their enemy.
DJ did not hesitate and fired on the NR captain, the blue light of the stun blast reflected off the waxed deck plates of the corridor. Darius began backpedalling and literally shoved his flight members inside the bridge. The Nazgul flight leader punched the door lock as the NR soldiers gained their senses and retaliated.
The shot grazed Darius' right side at the exposed mesh of the armor. Darius did not flinch, but smiled as the frag grenade exploded, shredding several of the NR soldiers to a pulp.
"Sir, you're shot," Hunter said, coming to Darius aid, looking for a first aid kit of the walls of the bridge.
"Hunter, get this hunk of rock moving, unlock the captains security measures, get the turbolasers back online, and I want some speed," Darius ordered, not wasting one second of their time.
"Sir, you've-" Hunter started.
"Did you not hear was I said?" Darius snapped, exploring his wound with curious fingers. He investigated the blood on his hands and looked at his flight member. "You going to answer my question?"
"Yessir, right away," Hunter said, slightly embarrassed. He sat down at the nearest console and let his hands to the magic, playing his fingers over the keyboard and accessing complicated programs all at once.
Darius pulled his helmet off and tucked it under his left arm and walked over to the captain's chair applying pressure to his wound at the same time. He sat down and familiarized himself with the command chair, and began accessing data that Hunter had quickly unlocked. The flight leader displayed the battle map on the holodisplayed table in the middle of the brige and took note on the changing position and number of ships remaning in the battle.
"DJ," Darius said, "I need the guns online, but not firing."
"Yessir," DJ said and jumped into another console.
"Hunter, place the pilots control into my chair."
"Yessir, engine are hot, and the control is yours. May I ask what the plan of battle is?"
"Certainly...we can't leave," he said, changing the tactical map in the middle of the brige to an extenisive pressure sensor network in the hanger floor. The distinct marks of the TIEs were surrounded by small foot prints, slowly pacing in anxiety, waiting for the enemy. He returned the screen back to the tactical map, "we need to screen the
Doashim. I'm going to place this asteroid between that MC-40 and the our ship. We should be able to either focus our guns on the ship or crash into it. Consider this system VE space, because we're going to take this battle."
"Simple, yet effective," DJ added. "How do we escape the firery crashing doom if our TIEs our guarded?"
Darius turned the chair to face DJ, a hint of a grin on his face. He pushed a button on his chair and the holo in the middle of bridge changed once again.
Are you sure you want to deactivate the magcon field in the hanger bay? displayed the text. Darius finger hovered over the confimation key. "I could get use to this ship commanding business."
