Per the email I received recently, I'm posting here to say hello and introduce myself.  Hi, I'm Amason, and I'm an alcoholic.  Oops!  Sorry, that came out wrong.  Let's try it again.  Hi, I'm Amason.  I've been around forever, but out of the SW scene for atleast four or five years.  A few weeks ago I started looking around to see if any of the old clubs were still around, and much to my surprise, vastempire.com still worked, so here I am.  To be honest, I would probably be better suited to the engineering division, but that wasn't an option during enrollment, and doesn't seem to be active now, so the Navy it is.

    Most people would describe the subject as an unimposing character.  His features are for the most part, average.  While not overweight, he does have a large frame.  Aside from a large frame, he has a fair complexion, and good muscle tone.  He seems to be in overall good physical condition.

Quirks:
    The subject has been known to have a bad temper, attached to the end of a very long fuse.  While his temper can be both an advantage and (usually) a disadvantage, most never see it.

Emotional Description:
    The subject has been described as a fairly stable guy.  His temper is rarely seen, and he is usually in a good mood.

History:
    "I don't remember my childhood.  I've been told that at age fourteen I was in a speeder accident, which killed both of my parents, and left me with amnesia.  I've tried everything possible to remember even a small part of my life before the accident, but nothing has helped.  After the accident, having no memory, I succumbed to depression.  I spent the next few years fighting myself, my lack of memory, and the people that were trying to help me.  During that time, I managed to piece together small parts of my former life from family friends, and some of my parent's former coworkers.  Those precious bits of memories have served to define who I am now.  No, I'm not the same person I was before the accident; at least I don't think so.  There's no way I will ever know, but through those memories, I carried a part of my former self with me.  During my depression, I developed what some would call a passing interest in mechanics and ship design.  This led me to pursue odd mechanical jobs here and there, eventually leading me off world. 

    When I was twenty-two, I was hired as a shuttle mechanic for a trader on Corellia.  I was the sole mechanic for a small fleet of nine ships, ranging from GR-75 transports to old Theta-class shuttles.  I rarely traveled on any of the ships, but two years later, I was sent with one of the GR-75's on what my employer called "a very sensitive cargo delivery run".  It turned out we were transporting a high ranking engineer from Kuat Drive Yards, back to Kuat after his ship was stolen by pirates.  I was sent along to take care of any ship-related problems that might arise.  During the trip, I had the chance to talk with the engineer, which thrilled me as I'd never had access to someone that I considered to be a genius.  We started out reminiscing about old freighter and battleship designs, and before long we were in deep discussion about modern battle tactics and ship/star fighter construction.  At the end of the trip, just before disembarking, he handed me a small slip of paper during a handshake.  After he was gone I read the note:

    This was the chance of a lifetime!  I contacted him as soon as I got back to Alderaan, and setup a meeting three weeks later.  After meeting with Mr. Kast and several of his colleagues, I was offered a position within ATSD, as a Mechanical Engineer.  Over the next nine years, I worked my way up the ladder, eventually taking over William Kast's position as head of R&D when he was promoted.  I was involved in almost every aspect of light and heavy ship design from that point on.  While I loved the work, the position did have its drawbacks--I had to work more closely with some of the upper management at Kuat.  Many of whom were involved in less than legal ventures, which led to my decision to resign.  After nine years of employment, I left Kuat.

    Shortly before I began having problems at KDY, I met Mike Rice, a fellow engineer who had started his own engineering/manufacturing company.  Mike and I developed an instant friendship, which led me to his company after leaving KDY.

At first I was placed over Star fighter design, and was able to take a more direct role in ship design and testing than at KDY.  As time passed, I was given more and more responsibility, leading up to my promotion to Secondary Executive Officer.  I poured my heart and soul into Phoenix Technologies for years, until several setbacks, including sabotage and a reduced clientele, forced the company to close.

    After Phoenix Technologies closed, I decided to take an extended vacation, and see the galaxy.  Since then I've been involved in various organizations and factions, service in various positions, including a brief stint in the Vast Empire, as well as a New Imperium Senator.  Eventually I decided to call it quits, and left my various positions and jobs to pursue a normal life and start a family.  The whole family thing never really worked out, but I did spend five years looking.  Looking became tiresome, and I did miss some of the excitement of my old life, so I began my search for anything I could that I was once a part of, which led me here, back to the Vast Empire."
